Kingdom Hearts III won't have more info at E3 2014

Recommended Posts

Famitsu.com have conducted an interview with Shinji Hashimoto, the producer of the Kingdom Hearts series, where he was asked if we could expect new Kingdom Hearts III information at E3 2014. Unfortunately, Hashimoto answered that although they are working hard on Kingdom Hearts III, releasing new information will take some time-- but, that people should check out the KH3 teaser included in the HD 2.5 ReMIX trailer. Thanks go to SQEX.INFO for the translation.

I'm okay with that really... Looking at their development stage atleast they gave us a teaser trailer. But still I wanted to see more stuff!

Jokes aside, I'm only slightly disappointed. I didn't really expect any KHIII news and unless SE is lying, which I doubt, the only disappointing thing is how late the 2.5 release date is, and that only because it could have been sooner, but I'm not complaining.

I'm pretty sure that they will have some KH3 info next year. I was hoping it might come out next year, since that would be its 13th anniversary, but with with the release of FFXV being probably some time late next year, that is now an impossibility. However, they will almost certainly have info about it at next year's E3.

Great to finally get another teaser... but no new footage for E3? I mean, I don't mean to sound greedy, but it has been a year since the game was revealed, you'd think they'd have made just a little progress in that time?

Frankly I'm not surprised. In one of the previous interviews Nomaru did say that the announcement was pre-mature. They only did it to build up the hype for the new console generation. Hopefully we might get a bit more info later in the year. For now I'm perfectly happy with the mysterious teaser. We haven't had one of those in years.

Smfh its bad enough we get a late release date on kh2.5 but to make it even worse it's not even a simultaneous release. I mean I don't understand the last time there was a final mix no other country got it but Japan so im positive the countries who've only seen the videos online will definitely be anticipating this game alot more. And that trailor was nothing great. They took scenes from the original games and gave them english voices oh wow. Id say the only work they put into the game that's original were the re coded cutscenes and that teaser which was pretty weak in my opinion. Its like square is preparing kh3 as a spin off based off of the master of master xehanort and master ariqus. Wheres the gameplay we've been waiting a year to see? Hopefully Tetsuya has something up his sleeves the way he was telling us to be excited for e3 late last year and early this year because a collectors edition of games we've already seen before and random dialogue doesn't really do much to impress me.
