Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted December 22, 2015 (edited) This is the RP thread for Ashes of a Fallen Empire, a sequel to Tainted Blood taking place a year after its events. For those of you interested in signing up please visit: http://kh13.com/forum/topic/93439-ashes-of-a-fallen-empire-rp-sign-ups-and-discussion/ Also, please subscribe to this thread so that you may be kept up-to-date with its activity. Subscribing to the sign-ups is recommended but not entirely necessary. I know this is a lot to read, but I would request that everyone read this main post through before posting, as it contains some very useful information for getting started in the RP. The map may also be useful to refer to. It is in the heart of December in what little remains of the world. What once was a planet that flourished is now dying from its own society, very little of the earth remaining, predominately dominated by the New Empire itself. Over the past year a massive war has been waged, one that cost many their lives. Among the lives lost was the dark emperor himself. Consumed by power, glory, and darkness, Korben was defeated at the hands of his enemy, the rebellion group started by his ex-general: the Order of Lux. The Order's leader, Eclaire Tonnerre, sought to create a republic for the remaining nation, striving to end the oppression that was slowly killing their land and its society. She was going to end the destruction of elves, the experimentation on adolescents, and create peace and true order. However, things did not go according to plan, and a new evil lurking within the shadows struck. At the time of victory for the rebellion, Oryx and his men attacked. They had been waiting for the opportune moment, and arrived it had. He forced Eclaire to retreat, many believing her to be dead. Instead, she rallied the remains of her loyal comrades, as well as a few newcomers, to her cause: the Messiah. A small group working silently, they plan to somehow get things straight, from a new government that treats its society worse than before. Oryx, the demon god, has now taken his place upon Korben's throne, ruling a crippled Langerdon in the New Empire. The criminal underworld has aligned themselves loyally, though many seek their own means rather than the good of their nation. After the war, much was lost, including many of the highly advanced weapons and technology that Gabriel Stross had built and designed. Tanzynite production has slowed, if not halted, at the loss of Doctor Julius Verstand, causing the deaths of many who were dependent upon Tanzynite. Now the price of the chemical has skyrocketed, driving people to desperate and drastic measures to acquire the funds for their survival and addiction. Upon Eclaire's absence and the news of her death, Yevgeni Malachite, human in appearance and part-angel in blood, seized the base of the Order of Lux, disheartened by all of the many lives lost from the war. So much blood had been shed, and now he is determined to right the wrong and have equal blood shed by the empire. Renaming Eclaire's rebellion to the Seraphim Order, Yevgeni is the leader of the new rebellion, their symbol one of peace and a union between humans and mages. Yevgeni's motives and actions are entirely unique and his own, and while he empathizes heavily with losses, there is an odd glint in his eye that makes one wonder if he's enjoying it. Perhaps you are of one of these conflicting sides, or maybe you have chosen to remain neutral and watch the conflict from afar. Many of the members of the Seraphim Order are currently leaving Rhasolvich, after a charitable contribution to the rebuild of their village. Meanwhile, the New Empire is in a conference, with Oryx at their head. What they shall discuss is up to the Emperor himself, though perhaps the movement of the Seraphim Order, or even Messiah, is of great alarm to them. Most, if not all members of Messiah, are likely aboard the ship Oathkeeper, doing whatever it is you're doing to keep alive and plan your next move, likely awaiting Eclaire's orders. If you are neutral, I wish you luck surviving the streets of whatever city or town you're in. You can be anywhere on the map, but Langerdon is heavily guarded as is the Forgotten Isles: (All red territories are imperial, whereas blue are loyal to the Seraphim Order and have not yet been seized by the New Empire. Langerdon is the Imperial capital, while the City of Ruin is the Seraphim Order's base. Further descriptions of these towns and villages will come shortly, courtesy of Vaude for taking the time and dedication to writing them.) Note: when posting, I would like to request that everyone use the following format (or something similar) Character Name -- Side Body of post. Because we have a lot of characters I realize this could get very confusing for those trying to keep up with the RP and it might make that extra step of memorization easier. Arya Stark 1,337 Posted December 23, 2015 (edited) Ryonne -- Messiah Another piece of the dummy fell to the ground with a thump. Half a moment later, another. And another. Soon, the hard floor of the gym was littered with cloth and hay stuffing. Ryonne slammed his blade back into his scabbard, and exhaled. Good. He could dismantle a man in a breath. That would not be enough. No, now he must strain to reach two in a breath. Then three. It would never be enough. Not having a goal to reach for causes stagnation. And that is certainly something he could not permit. He glanced at his left wrist, around which an emerald pendant had been wrapped. His neck was too thick for the necklace to fit comfortably, so this was the next best thing. The Swordsman had to keep working, could not let him slip into grief and depression. Not while things still had to be done. The Doctor -- Messiah The Doctor hummed lightly, scratching down some notes on philosophy as he sat on his hard cot. Now, he generally found philosophy to be a fool's study... Why think about life when you could just go ahead and live it? But this was a special occasion. After all, it is incredibly difficult to do research and experiments while locked in a cell. And so, philosophy was the day's work. No databases or materials needed for it. Just a pen, a notebook, and a bright mind. Maybe at some point these Messiah people would go ahead and let him completely free... It wasn't like he was some Imperial General or Korben. No, he had no loyalty to the simpleton. Just his work. Cobica -- The Seraphim Order The Half-Breed was now leading the Rebellion. That was certainly not something he had ever intended to do. He joined this thing on a whim, a moment's joy. Life had become a bit boring, so why not get involved in a war, especially on the underdog's side. But here he was now, leading it. A figurehead of strength. Cobica got out of bed and stretched. Soon as Oryx was dead, he was out of here. Maybe take a sailing trip. A break from people. But for now, he should do what he had said he would. Vortludo -- The Seraphim Order "Ah, it is quite alright! I need only your gratitude to be happy." Vortludo said, bowing graciously to all the townspeople who had gathered to see him and the few other Seraphim off. It was true. He was always happy to help, and considering the damages Rhasolvich had suffered during the war, it was only right that he do as much as he could. "Now now, I must be going! The war has not yet ended my friends! No, 'tis only the beginning!" The Noble said, waving to all the villagers. Kinzoku & Die and Naja of the Crow's Eyes -- The New Empire Kinzoku created a small figure of a duck out of steel and made it walk across the table. It was rather amusing, which was good because the wait before a meeting was always rather boring. Naja leaned over to Die, who sat next to her. "What is with her?" The Panther whispered to her leader, referring to their "coworker". "She's so... Carefree." "Some people find solace in chaos and conflict." Die answered softly. "Besides, we've met far more than our fair share of similar people. Like Scherp." The Crow countered. Naja shook her head. "But Scherp does take his job seriously, he just keeps up an air of humor to help us all stay sane. She..." Naja glanced back to Kinzoku. "She's like a child." The Remainder of the Crow's Eyes -- The Criminal Underworld Ba-bump. Ba-bump. Ba-bump. "Would you stop?" Heksen growled. Scherp caught the ball he had been tossing against the wall. "Well man, gotta do something. Life's boring working under Oryx, and Die's in a stupid meeting." Scherp commented, sounding grouchy. "You want to go back to being shot at every other day?" Lan interrupted softly. Kol laughed a bit as she brushed her thick locks. "Exactly. I must agree with Lan, having an actual job does have some perks." She said. Scherp shook his head. "No amount of luxury replaces the thrill of a firefight or round of poker." The Eagle said. "Suit yourself." Kol said, continuing to do her hair. But... If she was being honest with herself, she agreed with Scherp. The Minx enjoyed the luxury of a stable income, but she missed the excitement of the job more. Cyler -- The Criminal Underworld Hmmmmmm. Langerdon had changed since he'd last been here. Long gone were the pleasant marketplace or children playing in the streets. Well, those didn't actually exist. They were just myths. But even the myths were gone. This was a time of riots. Of crime. Of chaos. Even Korben had been able to keep some kind of control... But not Oryx. No, the Demon King was just happy to rule. In any case, Cyler was happy. After all, chaos generates conflict. And conflict draws strength. And strength can be stolen. Neena -- The Tanzynite Crusade Neena dropped a bag of food on the table. The apartment was small, and pretty shitty. But it worked. "Henry! Where the hell are you!" She yelled. "I'm making dinner." She cried, beginning to unpack the groceries. Even food was becoming rare, despite the fact that this city was a huge, commercial metropolis. She had had to murder a Tanzynite infused gang for these supplies. What she wanted to do was get out of here but... This was best. She could do her work here. And eventually... Help free the city itself too. Oryx's rule was even worse than Korben's. The only good thing that had come out of this was the fact that Tanzynite production had practically stopped. Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted December 23, 2015 Jadis -- Messiah The elven mage threw his bow and quiver over his shoulder, his long woolen cloak dusting the floor of the Oathkeeper. Last year he never could've envisioned himself living within the confines of an airship. But, then again, much had transpired that Jadis had never pictured himself partaking in, namely the destruction of the empire, war, and death. Over the past year Jadis felt he aged by three rather than two years, seeing so many things that his young eyes never should have befallen. It was tragic--as well as slightly traumatic--to fight alongside his fellow comrades in the attack on the Korbenic Empire. Had it not been for his magic and Fiora always coming to his aid, Jadis likely would've died. Still Jadis had recurring nightmares of the war, often waking in sweats and being unable to fall back asleep. There were times, and in this case nights like these, where it was much more peaceful to practice his aim and walk around the Oathkeeper. The blue-haired mage made his way into the ship's kitchen, poured himself a glass of fruit punch, and went to sit in the lounge. He took a sip bitterly. It had been a while since he'd seen Fiora, though as of late it seemed she was always busy. Ava -- Seraphim Order "Only the beginning?" The raven-haired woman turned a glance to Vortludo, her hands filled with a basket of pastries that a kind resident had gifted her with. "You say this as though there will be an end." A smile tugged at the edges of her mouth as she waved to a kindly group of elven children, though Vortludo likely knew as well as she did that it was entirely false. "It has been a year, Vort, and nothing is going as it should. How much longer are we going to keep rebuilding a world that's going to eventually collapse for good?" She tore off a bit of banana bread from its loaf and held it out to her boyfriend. "It is good to see you smiling, at least. Are we heading back to the base after this?" Isaac -- New Empire The door of the meeting room burst open and in strode a man with unkempt brown hair, dirty boots, and a massive machine gun at his waist. Many thought the gun was a threatening gesture, but Isaac merely treated it like a beloved possession. Heck, he would've slept with it under his pillow if he were allowed such an opportunity. He stole one glance around the room, turning to each imperial in turn before glancing at the new emperor, Oryx. He bowed his head lowly. "Your excellency, uh, my apologies for the lateness. While this may seem like an entirely ridiculous excuse to you, I couldn't come because my uniform was, ah, drying." He clumsily found his way into a chair at the conference table and folded his hands. Some probably thought it was a miracle that he ever earned the title "general." Isaac still didn't quite know what he thought of the new emperor. He had been loyal to the Korbenic Empire ever since he'd met his wife, though Oryx seemed different, and he didn't like the new poverty that struck the capital since he gained the throne. Perhaps that would be something that he'd address at the meeting that day. Yevgeni -- Seraphim Order The flames upon the four candles went out, and the brief visage of his beloved sister vanished. Yevgeni cursed to himself in the darkness of the basement. Necromancy was an art that was taking him quite some time to master. Too long, in his opinion. After her death Yevgeni had been researching the art of necromancy and had been practicing it for nearly a year. Despite the warnings he'd received of tampering with the dark art, he didn't care. Any price was worth gaining his sister, even if temporarily, and he wouldn't stop until she returned to him. Hastily he gathered up his supplies and threw them into a trunk, locking it before fumbling for the door in the darkened basement. He thought Vortludo and the others would be arriving back any day now, and he was eager to share his new plans with his good friend. He also wondered where Cobica lurked these days. His second-in-command was serving the Order well, to which Yev couldn't have been more pleased. Both had joined the Order of Lux around the same time, and neither had probably anticipating taking it over a year later.
Saber Lily 1,543 Posted December 23, 2015 -Eclaire- While many trained and others wondered, Eclaire rolled over and found her face in someone's chest. She opened her eyes and took a moment to, yet again, remember that she was in fact married, and the chest her face was in...was her wife's. She smiled lightly and climbed up a bit more, and kissed Fiora's lips gently. She always loved how adorable Fiora was when asleep, and gently brought her into a warm, warm hug. Sometimes Eclaire just wanted to let the world die and just curl up with Fiora...but she couldn't. She had to leave, and with the reluctance of the gods she got out of bed and took a shower. The perk of currently sitting in the icy Razgriz Straits was that they had plenty, and plenty, of water. Once out and dry, she closed her eyes, summoning to her body her normal attire. Now decent to others that were not her wife, she lightly kissed Fiora's forehead and headed out. Slipping around the corridors, she actually was a bit sad. The Oathkeeper had closed down the casino, strip club, and brothel last year, and not opened it since. It was an easy place to relax and eat, but then again...Fiora. Eclaire actually got a bit...giddy. Every night she wasn't fighting she could go to bed and curl up with someone. it was a sensation, a reality, that gave her such renewed strength. Finally arriving on the bridge, she stretched. "What did I miss?" -Jeremy- The half-angel turned his command chair around, looking pretty calm. "Sasha has been reaching out. Possibly our little alliance could grow, but many don't believe she's alive. Hell, I can't believe we're alive sometime. If not for Ace and his squadron...hell, if not for the Caladbolg, we'd be dead." He rubbed his forehead. "Some of our agents in the Empire are telling us that the Oryx regime is a lot more lenient...to an extent. And the Seraphim Order has..." he tabbed a control, showing the remains of what had been an Imperial Village. "...wiped out. This little hamlet is near the Imperial City of Goldova." He looked pissed. "I hate hiding...what that bastard did to the Order of Lux is butcher the entire point. We were supposed to be the Light for everyone. Imperial, Elf, Luxian. We were light...now..." "Now, we are Messiah." -Rika- Rika Kairi Hunter, more commonly known as Chrysalis, was standing in the doorway. Clad in a dark red dress that flowed to her knees, and wearing the most fashionable combat boots ever, she walked in and past soldiers who literally trembled at her presence. During the Final Battle, the Oathkeeper had been pinned down by the enemy fleet, and one Aeros flight mech had penetrated their defense zone and had them dead to rights. They saw the laser begin to form in the barrel, when Chrysalis had appeared and single-handedly destroyed the thing. It was a glorious entrance that marked the arrival of Zion, and with her arrival came the Angelic Awakening. Even Jeremy felt his power upgrade...and in private, Jeremy, Chrysalis, and Eclaire had a very important discussion. That act, her armor, and the fact she, when fighting by the Goddess of Light, took out a destroyer by herself...well, it put into perspective just how powerful people can be when conditions are met...and right now, they knew she could do a hell of a lot of damage, and barely break a sweat. Messiah was filled with these people. Ryonne, unstopped, could have toppled the army. Mikhail's entire life was based around killing monsters, and unopposed...any Imperial beast unit was doomed. Ciriel was stripped of her wings, but even then...Eclaire even was impressed. Easily could take out dozens, if not a hundred soldiers. And Rika was only fourteen...who then hopped onto Jeremy's lap. Yeah, for her age...she was extremely childish.
Scrapmaster 1,731 Posted December 23, 2015 (edited) - Oryx "The taken king" - New empire leader - and Dex - The taken kings former host. The meeting room was well light, but a visible fog of sorts could be seen and felt by those inside of it, it was the sheer ammount of Oryx's power seepping into the room harmless to his allies, but harmful to any who bore ill will, Oryx was sitting in a large throne in front of the large round table, with enough seats for everyone to sit down, and another throna for the Warpriest to sit too, it was as if the room was bigger than it looked, it was because Oryx was twisting its very existence to look bigger than it was. Meanwhile a Taken soldier, who looked like a normal soldier but with a faint grey glow on his eyes, "Miss Kinzoku, Die and Naja, please do come into the room for the meeting, Oryx apologizes for the wait" the man said before walking off. Oryx was about to begin talking as Isaac walked into the room with excuses...which amused him, much to Dex's dismay, who was sitting right beside Oryx's throne, but in a chair in the round table. "It is fine Isaac, after all we got all day for this meeting, not like time's passing by slower inside the room anyway" Oryx spoke with a chuckle, with a calm and polite tone, and what he said was true, the time that passed through the room, was only half the time that would pass outside of it, almost as if the room was its own dimension. "I shall wait until the crow eyes representants and our new council member, Kinzoku joins us before continuing with the meeting, so please. let us be patient." Oryx said, his voice echoing throughout the room. the table had a large hologram of the map of the world (world map from RP), and the new empire controlled territories and territories currently held by seraphim order. the rest of the table was rather empty, as more members joined. - Henry Hansees - Mutual cooperation - Henry was outside the apartment, gathering up supplies as well, but not food, instead he was more in charge of bringing in drinks and whatnot, and gathering information about whereabouts on Oryx's generals and rumors about the newly funded Seraphim Order...He wondered if Eclaire was alive though. Henry walked into the apartment, with a bag of beverages on his right arm, full of water, tea, soda and whatnot, all he could find. "Hey" Henry said calmly as he closed the door and locked it, "Need help making dinner?" He asked, clearly looking for something to do. "I did get some more information on possible generals and whatnot too, also about this new "Seraphim order" of sorts." he mentioned as he sat down on the living room's couch. Maxis "Prime" - New messiah's freeloader (?) - Slow clapping could be heard from the gym where Ryonne was standing, as Maxis simply uncloacked by the door, he clapped some more for a moment to possibly get noticed. "Not bad! Ryonne is it?" He asked, and complimented, "You get better by the day, thats some training you're putting yourself through." Maxis commented as he walked in. Maxis was mostly there to tease, as he always loved doing with everyone he knew, and to possibly train with a few dummies as well. Mikhail crad - Messiah's friendly neighborhood witcher - "Ah, new leader, new regime, new ways, I guess it didn't turn out well..." Mikhail said walking into the bridge , commenting about the new 'Seraphim order', He sighed, as he was used to seeing humans take control of something great and squander it to the point of genocide, "I wonder if they know that what they are doing is exactly what the original empire used to do..." Mikhail commented as he was one of the only ones unphased by Chrysalis's presence. "Christ Oryx's appearance really threw a wrench into all of our plans, almost killed us...and I remember it as if it was yesterday." he specially remembered Viridem's death, whose death didn't impact him as much as it did Ryonne, but certainly hit him, even though with suppresed emotions due to being a witcher. Gabriel stross - Messiah's mecrhomantic engineer, also prisoner. - Another day, another weapon project completed at his cell, which was rather large, with a weapon shelf and good space for projects, most projects were completed within a few days, unlike his days in the empire, he could focus on one project at a time, which sped the proccess by a large margin, most advanced weapon projects would be completed in a day. The room had a dedicated engineering table, and stocked with materials for upgrades and whatnot. Gabriel was still unallowed to leave his cell, unless it was to fix something in the ship or upgrade something like its weapon systems, even then he'd have an armed escort with beside him, he'd also be handcuffed, which pissed him off, but pissed his Ai even more. The Ai spoke, its name: Glados, spoke "My my, when they are going to let us out I wonder...when are we going to meet yltriss again I wonder?" Glados asked Gabriel, who blushed below his visor, "Oh? im sure theres other girls around here too! this Ciriel woman some talk about, she seems cute from what hacking into the surveillance cameras showed" the Ai continued to speak. Gabriel secretly hoped no one would hear what the Ai said about hacking, as he sighed, as Glados didn't change a bit... rikunobodyxiii 700 Posted December 23, 2015 {Ciriel: Messiah} "Tell your AI that it just wouldn't work between us." Ciriel said as she silently stepped into Gabriel field of vision from inside his cell. Her hood was down, revealing her short red hair. Before speaking again, she took a sip from a pint of chocolate milk. "It's ones and zeros, and I'm pretty much spoken for." She took another sip, then gave Gabriel a more appraising look. "I understand you have special needs in the medical department. I was drafted into the medical corp due to natural talent and loss of a lot of people who could do the job. So, how are you feeling? Oh, and I'll take constructive criticism on my bed side manner." {Keyes} Water dripped in the empty vault as Keyes slept within his cryo pod. Like many Tenno, he awaited for the call to wake him up. But maybe the call will never come. Or perhaps it will come from an unexpected source. Like many before him, Keyes awaits to be found...
Gothraven Dovegrace 22 Posted December 23, 2015 (edited) R. Ryker;Roaming The Underworld. Ryker was used to roaming the blight of the underworld. Walking through a town the people looked shady like, some of them looking at him, some even giving side glances. Even to the point some seemed like they wanted to rob him. he avoided all of them. a girl strutted up and stammered "You lookin for a be warmer, huh hun?" she said with a raspy smokey voice. she began to cough profusely, so She used her Shaw to wipe her mouth then continue smiling. "Uh, No Sorry. I think i wouldn't Fit your Type" He said while keeping his hands up in the air. "Everyone's my type, For a price" She said as she winked, and Smiled. She barely had any teeth and the tooth she did have was covered in lip stick. "You see that" She pointed at her tooth, "Dis my eaten tooth" . "My point Exactly." He Said in Contrary. The Dirty street lady just spat at his feet in spite and left after 'graciously' touching his shoulder. He shivered And scurried to the nearest bar to duck the view of that Lady. " Ya'll Come back Soon, They always Do!" She said In a shrill and rasp. She gave him a fear that was Grotesque like fungus and unfurled like an infection. When he Entered, The air was Filled with Cigar and ash, the floor slick with Bourbon. 'how poor of a job that is? the Foundation of the Works was build upon ugly. She'd work her life away to clean the foul stench the Establishment Exhaled.' He thought nodding his head in Despair For the poor Waitress. The jabber filled the room. How intoxicating the Rumors and Filth Speak Contain the cliche of the Speak-Easy. The Aroma would have been different if that Final touch was None or lessened. He cleared his throat, the air was a tad too tainted for him, Stood firm and approached the Main Bar. A Patron of the Shamalocke Skittered towards Ryker. the bars name was as Filthy as it was ridden of any charm, but who needed one. "So what's the 411, Uh" He took a moment to look for a name tag. "Phil!" Ryker said in a Pleased Tone. Leaning back in Satisfactions, the man Replied "Phil, who's Phil?" He said with a stoic as stone expression "Ah then i wont ask how.. You.." He stopped And look to a room that was off behind the Bar and Could see to pairs of boots with a mysterious dark puddle next to them. "Ah, yes. Well See, i need Some help." Ahh!!" He Ludged Forward, Abrasively getting to the light beside his bed. Breathing in a short panic and tries to collect himself and Shake off the frigid Sweat he awoke in. "Mila....dana...i'm sorry til this day.. Will i ever awake and you'd be at rest?" He grabbed a Locket out of the dresser Beside him. "why am i left like this..." he tucked his face into the palm of his hand. He was only in pajama pants, and the sweat was rolling Down his Chest and Back. He proceeded to the bathroom To Look himself in the mirror. He smirked, and Went into The Shower. He pressed a few buttons and set different mods. Soon after he had done so, Warm mist shot from the walls of the shower and then Followed by a light Drizzle from the very top of the Shower he was standing in. The water Drizzled into a Firm Rain, then to a pour as it Escalated. He Touched the wall and a seat came out, he sat down as he let the water rinse over him and his Slow dread. He dragged his emotion from a spiral and resumed a neutral mindset after some time has passed in the shower. He stepped out wiping his head with a towel also having one wrapped around his waist. He put all his Stuff in his Satchel and moved for the door. The door automatically opened up and He threw the Towel Of Before transforming into a dog that wore the satchel around it and Shimmied away. Sniffling Towards his needed Destination, he stopped For a bagel And Coffee. He made it up to the Cafeteria and the lady that was working there just smiled and gave him a Bagel in his mouth. "Good day Professor!" She said and he replied with a mumble and Stammer. indistinctive Mutter she Could not understand So she just just nodded and went back to work. He hurried to his little messy, yet Cozy Office. Where he set and placed the bagel on the table. Malikai Khaos; Lost.. *Sigh* "Where the hell do i go from here... i seem have gotten myself lost." He Said Aloud. He Dragged his feet as he walked and his Seven Blade Tapped Each other Behind Him. He has not Seen this Part, of even his time. It wasn't even this Bright. No matter how dark and Bleak this time is. It Compares not to the future. He stopped And Looked up at an ever growing cloud that Stretched Across the sky. He Couldn't tell What Time it was, because there was no Direct Sunlight. Which Aggravated him a Smidgen. His head Heavily fell Downward and to the Side as a guy ran out from the shrub baring an Ax to hack at him. He Didn't get to Get Four Feet near Malikai before Malikai Rose his hand up that held nothing, But Something had Appeared to impale the man. Dribbles of blood Nimbled its way out of his shirt. The Man Coughed in pain, then out of thin air, the Blade had Filled itself into space. It was invisible and the Bandit had ran Vector to the weapon. Not Knowing, he has impaled himself. None the less it was Directly in the heart. Accurate and acute, a shadow-less blade stroke. He Stepped Back and Another man From his side tried to take a swing at him with a scimitar. Malikai Avoided it and it swiped across it face, not even as so much a hair was cut. "Poison..laced.." Malikai Could smell it. Even the type "Neurotoxin..Clever." He said holding the same Expression. The man smiled and rushed Malikai With the venomous Blade Spinning and dancing like the wind curls. He struck and was Blocked. Malikai blocked with his blade reverse. "Yuh showin Off!" The Raider said. Malikai simply Replied "No. Just victorious..." When the Raider Tried to bend his arms, he felt pain and look at his Forearms. they were completely frozen. The Blades had made contact and had Frost bitten the raiders hand. When the Man looked back at Malikai he was gone. Duck to the side and underneath. Malikai had charged his momentum to Do a back flip, While Directly under the mans Extened Arms. using the Force to crush them upon impact. The Blade floated in mid air and Twirled and Malikai became air born and still near the man. He B-twisted, Kicking the Laced Blade into the mans Shoulder. The raider Fell Dead. The other one who had his Sword in his chest was Laying Slain, in the wake Of Malikai. Another more powerful Man, Emerged From behind a tree. "So you tuck Care of those Fools" Malikai just looked at him. he knew what type of person he was. just lurks to see how strong the man he was going to fight. Knowing that the men he had sent out could never have had defeated him. Malikai did not like him, it remind him of 'Himself'. Malikai yawned Before sheathing his blades "Don't turn your back on me. i want you to join me." The Rogue Mongol replied "No, i want nothing from you. but.." Malikai Opened up his shirt And his torso was Riddled with Scars. they look to be burns. He raised his hand and the man Jumped back. Malikai just held his hand out in front of him. His Finger lite up bright Orange, As if it was red hot. He Place his finger gently on his upper torso. it sizzled as he scarred in another two gashes. He then made another one. indicating the man was next. as he stared deeply into the Rogues eye, the rogue Only Saw Fear and death in his. "No.. no! Get away!" he was in vision and of walking distance of his worst fear. Malikai simply Closed his shirt and Vanished after grasping one of his blades. The rogue looked around with a paranoid and skittish gleam ,but certainly felt the presence of the taint air of burnt flesh behind him. All that was left was the sounds of his agony. The Unversed 168 Posted December 23, 2015 (edited) - Zane - New Empire Zane's body slowly appeared by passing through a nearby wall within the meeting room revealing that Zane was in attendance. Zane walked over to a seat at the large round table passing through it from behind before sitting on it showing that he can pass through things (Not living) when he wants to pass through them. As Zane sat he's head turned to his left, then to his right eyeing his comrades & leader carefully. Zane didn't say a word as he felt their was no need too. Zane then waited in silence, patiently as he looked over the hologram showing the world's shape. - Rei - Neutral Rei was heading to her home in the town of Krile. Rei was happily walking carrying a small white bag with the first aid symbol on it. "I can't believe I got so much medicine from that kindhearted town Brenaen. I hope I have enough to help WAAA!" screamed Rei right before she tripped over something falling to the ground. Rei got up slowly "Ouch, that hurt...ah! the medicine! is it alright?" said Rei to herself as she quickly checked to make sure the medicine wasn't crushed by her. "Oh thank goodness. It's alright, for a minute I thought I had lost all that medicine & effort in getting it." said Rei feeling relieved "Now then, what was that I tripped over just now?" said Rei as she turned to see what she had tripped over. Rei saw something strange just popping out of the ground so she got closer to it. Rei uncovered it a bit revealing it was part of some kind of pod. It turns out Rei had uncovered Keyes in his cryo pod. "Who would just leave a person in such a thing?" said Rei censured for the person inside. After Rei looked around the pod she eventually found a button "I wonder if this button will get the person out?" said Rei as she pressed the button waiting to see in anything happens. Atrias 19 Posted December 23, 2015 Arian : near the shore and moving towards Palsia. Terath Z.; the Shore of palsia. "Yahooooo!" Shouted Arian as he completed one of the many flight maneuvers he had the "luxury" of practicing. The recent "trade agreement" was basically delivering supplies and weapons to the ever so kind pirate bands in the south east. Dorian had taken the liberty of giving him several instructions on which buttons he should press and so far it worked splendidly. What's more after Arian reports the base location there'd be even more profit in it for them. This did not mean he approved the methods but with the conscription, the war and most importantly the low interest in their group it was necessary for them to stay afloat. If Grim ever found out about this it'd be another lecture about fair business and even worse if the empire caught on it'd mean execution unless They'd use bureaucracy to make everything halt till the crime was no longer relevant. He turned to the communication systems often and occasionally. "Palsia this is trade vessel north wind. I have clearance to land. Over." There was some static before a woman's voice answered. "Our apologies sir but there has been a change of schedule. A military ship has taken your spot and no others are available. Over." "Affirmative. Requesting permission to land on the town's outskirts. There should be enough space. Over." "The hell? Are you mad or something?" "Not really sweet cheeks but I'm a member of orient and we always make our goods reach their goals." There was no reply for a while. The ship began decreasing it's altitude and began following improvised landing protocols. "I'll take any further answers as a yes. Thanks for the landing spot. See ya." He sent off that message then blocked any further signals that had to do with his ship. He actually landed further away then necessary near the shore. Thank god there was no cargo otherwise the journey would kill him. As he disembarked however he sensed a person nearby. He wasn't sure how to react however and kept is distance till it would e assessed if it's a threat or not. Dorian: The capital city of the empire Langerdon - Oryx "The taken king" - New empire leader - and Dex - The taken kings former host. The situation in the city was utterly perfect. Just as he desired the economy was in shambles and he could smell the inflation from miles away. The only hope he had now was that the armies would face off some time soon with the last dent he'd be able to get so many connections and easy money. The thing that kills a nation is never a big battle but rather an economic breakdown. He was here to discuss arms trade with a few low ranking officials but he knew that'd be wasting time. The only way to advance in the trade was to be dirty and take risks. And his plan now? Immortality Is such a nice and common goal men have always wanted to reach and yet it proved elusive. What better way to obtain it than through an actual deity. He had several debts to collect on and one of them went so far as to allow him to join the very meeting called by a kind. He was however to be an informal observer. The tricky part was getting in to begin with and avoiding the defenses put up against bad intentions. As such he convinced himself he meant the best for the empire as much as it didn't concern hi. His entry was also somewhat lacking in "style" as he simply walked in and blended with the background hoping to get his words after the big meeting was over. His pet project was also a matter of interest and he will follow through on his interests. Nalia, Grim and Jonathan: Krile "Ladies and gentlemen! The orient trading company is looking for recruits. Come one come all ensure financial stability for yourself and your family with a good work space, free room and board and most importantly the good will that you're assisting your country in gaining economic prosperity!" Nalia was shouting at the top of her lungs by order of the undead leader who was ow having a conversation with Jonathan. She was wearing a revealing uniform Arian had come up with to at least attract some attention. It worked but not many were interested in joining. The conversation that was taking place behind the poster girl however was much more serious. "Right. And you're positive Arian won't be back till then?" That was Grim who was saying everything in an emotionless tone where you couldn't tell question from statement. Jonathan in response to reading his lips handed his boss papers detailing medical cargo and Dorian's travel expenses. "I see. Things are far worse than i thought. Send a message later from him to return. You and Nalia Will be traveling on your own till you reach the sepharim order. Try cutting a deal for weaponry and medical supplies. If possible get them to sign an agreement." The ghost doctor replied by drawing pentagram on a piece of paper then inscribing three small circles on it's inside where two were touching. "I know it's dangerous. Avoid it going public and if all else fails have Nalia make you one of her proxies." Just then the poster girl arrived at the back and sat down."I don't see a point with my advertisement unless you're opening a cabaret or something." She sighed and looked around for something. "We need manpower." Replied Grim coldly and turned to his other ally. "Will you pull it off." He received a shake of the head as a reply. Then pointed at Nalia. "What are you looking for?" Asked the living corpse. "Anyone seen deuce?" "Yes. The young lad said he needn't be here watching you parade your breasts in front of everyone. He said he'd go exploring outside town." She wanted to stab someone for letting him wander about and also stab him for saying that. Deuce G.:outside Krile He finally found some time to relax and wander about a bit. He loved exploring especially towards the west when he had time. Cartography was something he had recently began dabbling in and thus far it was enjoyable. He left a few minutes ago and already knew he'd be in for it once he comes back. He did take what you'd need for a camping trip with him just in case but in the few occasions he suck away so far he never needed it. He stopped when he saw someone fall in the distance then rushed to help. Before he could say anything a button had already been pressed. "What's that thing?" He asked as he got closer still slightly cautious of what's happening.
Vaude 536 Posted December 24, 2015 (edited) - Rufus Contralto - Neutral ((For the sheer length of it all, Rufus' post is in spoilers.)) There was chicken. There was glory. There was power. There were women. There was chicken. Rufus eyed a mouthwatering spectacle, nay, a fountain, of well-cooked chicken wings, thighs, breast meat flayed from the bone, and even whole birds stuck on rotisserie spits pouring out of an opening. He was the lord of pirates, king of thievery, master of the skies, and six beautiful women fawned over his every action, clambering on top of one another just to get close enough to gather his attention. One pried forth from the pile to pet him from behind his throne, pulling his head aside to give him a kiss. Angry sounds from the others ensured that the others saw this unfairness and ascended all at once, continuing their quest for Rufus' acceptance. All five came at him in a flurry and surrounded him. They were clambering over him in a mess of flailing limbs, pouffy lips, and slobber filled with the desire of Rufus. The chicken fountain exploded and littered bountiful amounts of white meat all around. It was getting hard to breathe . . . and then-- Rufus snapped back to reality, shaking his head free from reverie. He was back on the S.S. Fantastige, his airship. "A strange thing that was," he muttered under his breath, blinking sleepily. "Since when are women in my woolgatherings?" Snickers abounded from behind him, and, turning, he witnessed six of his crew members poking each others' ribs. "Whaddya fantasizing 'bout, Cap'n? Wishin' Lelita 'ere'll be putting a case o' the lover on ya, ya dog?" jibed Harst. "Naw, nabady would like that fro' that one," guffawed Pogo. "I take offense to that!" Lelita piped, infuriated and punching everyone around her with her scrawny arms. Moans and sounds of pain replaced the laughter. "Geez, stop 'er, Cap'n!" Pogo yelped. "Yeah, Cap'n! Shoot 'er with magic or stuff!" Shipman howled. Rufus rolled his eyes. His crew was made up of seven: Pogo, his first mate; Harst, his boatswain; Lelita, his helmswoman; Shipman and Mullens, his ensigns; Ol' Yella the mute cook; and Reggie as an lookout and appraiser. In total, they were a messy bunch of foolish ninnies with little tolerance for one another, but all of them had a strange appreciation for Rufus as a captain, as lawless as they were and as bad at leadership as he was. He never dared question their loyalty, and they never gave him answers regarding why they feel this way, but it made him feel weepy-eyed whenever he deeply thought of it. "BELAY THIS INFIGHTING, YOU BELLOWERS!" he shouted, halting the crew's mass beating. "Belay?" "Is that word even being used right?" "He's jus' tryin' to use our lingo." "Did I just hear 'belay' used incorrectly?" cried Reggie from the crow's nest, his head suspended as far out from the balustrade as possible. Flustered, Rufus continued, "You all know what I mean to say! Cease! Desist! Pray break from your impish activities more befitting of children than men and woman, for I have an idea for us all. We take up shipping! Passengers hither and thither can be taken aboard as well as their things like postal servicemen, but instead of travelling on the ground we ship by air! Untarnished by problems, if I may say so myself." "I kind of think you're not thinking straight, Cap'n!" Reggie commented from the crow's nest again. "You're not thinking of global economics, pricing, limitations, embargos, faction changes, crew costs--" "Yeah! When are we gettin' paid?!" "Yeah!" "Aye!" "I concur!" Rufus scratched his neck, nudging his tricorne forward a little in the process and making him look like a complete goofball. "You all are going to get fair wages in time, but financial deficit is lassoed around our necks." "We haven't gotten paid in more than food for three weeks, and even the food supply is running out! We're living off rocktail soup, and thin rocktail soup, at that!" //Kudos if you get the reference; fancy piracy calls for only the fanciest foods.// "BELAY THAT!" Rufus shouted. "That still doesn't make sense, Cap'n," Reggie remarked, "but forget all of that for now! Something on our 2 o'clock, on the ground about half a mile away!" Everybody rushed to the right side of the ship except Rufus, who ran in the opposite direction and peered over. "Other way, Cap'n!" The captain ran in the correct direction this time and poked his nose over the edge of the ship beside Harst and Lelita. What caught his eye was something extraordinarily odd, which is surprising to him in this world of oddities. It looked like an escape pod or a downed plane without wings or even like a metallic egg planted inside the bed of a road which coasted along a sea of grassy knolls, but it was in the middle of nowhere and no smoke trailed from it. Even stranger, it seemed intact and unscathed and strangely buried, adding to Rufus' interest. "Down there! Let us abscind our course and view closer that object!" he piped, more than eager to see what it was and if it would solve all of his money problems. Upon disembarking, Captain Rufus, Harst, and Lelita rushed over the next knoll toward the foreign object to find that the thing was already found or, rather, claimed by a young woman with bluish hair. Rufus looked like a steamed lobster, he was so red-faced. If there was anyone who had the biggest crushes on nurses, it was him, but he tried to clear up his face enough to speak properly to the girl. "A-Ahem, I say, my good madame, if you would receive my invitation, I am Captain Rufus Contralto. Verily this chromed egg is too big for you to carry, so I wish to personally recommend to you having this pod lifted to my ship to carry to the market. We can split the money of selling it as youngsters today say 50-50. What say you?" Harst and Lelita looked at each other behind his back, disheartened by the facts that Rufus was easily lovestruck and that, while he was a pirate, the addled man was way too soft for being a blackguard. ((Okay, fixed! Yltriss will get a post later, but this one left me beat and I will gather my thoughts.)) Edited December 24, 2015 by Vaude

Scrapmaster 1,731 Posted December 24, 2015 Gabriel stross - Messiah's mecrhomantic engineer, also prisoner. - Gabriel was actually startled by the sudden appearance of Ciriel, the woman the Ai just talked about, he sighed and frowned under his armor, another misunderstanding caused by his armor...at least it wasn't a passing rebel patrol this time, because those got offended quite fast when the Ai began to speak. He got of his chair and turned to face Ciriel. "Ones and Zeroes? a chance is a chance!" The Ai spoke, as Gabriel frowned again under the visor, as Ciriel began to speak about him needing a special type of medical treatment he looked down a bit, as his Ai began to explain. "You see, Gabriel has a condition...a allergic response from his organism to the experimental tanzynite of mechromancy given to him via surgery a year ago, this allergic reaction impacted his lungs, by them constricting themselves, making breathing harder, but the part which really took the blow was his vocal cords and his voice box, both of them completely destroyed by the reaction, several surgeries were attempted to bring them back, or even put new artificial ones, but to no avail, as the allergic reaction always ends up disabling it one way or the other..." The Ai explained Gabriel's muteness to Ciriel, "Practically, Gabriel's a mute, but Im here to speak for him!" THe ai Spoke with a cheerful tone as Gabriel was actually, quite embarrassed by it explaining it like that. "You're also very beautiful" the Ai added in, immediately making Gabriel blush below the visor, "Oops, now I embarrased him, oh well." The Ai spoke again. Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted December 24, 2015 -Jadis -- Messiah- Suddenly Jadis gasped, bolting upright in his seat upon hearing the sound of glass shatter. Apparently he'd fallen asleep in the ship's lounge the night prior, before having even placed his drink on the end table. For a moment he only sat there, chest heaving from the dream. How many times would he have to watch Adelia's death, as well as Viridem's? He'd liked Viridem. The young woman didn't deserve the fate she'd received, especially upon leaving Ryonne all alone. Jadis was still trembling when he forced himself up, sweeping the glass fragments on a tray and throwing them in the trash. Thankfully the glass had been empty, else he'd have a whole new mess on his hands. Eclaire likely wouldn't miss one of her fine wine glasses anyhow. The teen made his way down the corridor, passing Professor Kreed as he purchased a doughnut. He nodded respectfully, not stopping to chat. The nightmare was still fresh in his mind, and he hoped a shower would put him in a better frame of mind. Thankfully the water was plentiful and blissfully warm upon the Oathkeeper. He paused upon passing Eclaire's door, glancing and wondering if Fiora was inside. He wasn't wanting to bother either of them, though, and decided to pass the door up as he proceeded down the hall. -Ariana -- Neutral- It felt like she'd been there forever. In fact, she had no idea how much time had passed. All she could remember was her name, all of the people she'd killed, all of the evil she'd done, and one last thing . . . . "Chrysalis," she murmured, her violet eyes slowly shifting to the ceiling. After the war Oryx had imprisoned her, though how she couldn't remember. All she remembered was tackling him as he tried claiming the empire, the empire Korben was bestowing to her. It didn't belong to the demon king, even if it didn't belong to her, either. Long had she suffered from a lack of tanzynite, nourishment, and mental deprivation, but finally her thoughts were clearing. She was slowly gaining a sense of self. In this silence and darkness she has been trapped with naught but her thoughts. Thoughts of her actions--past, present and future--and how she could ever cope with everything that she'd done. Even if she did something so foolish as to turn her life around, who would accept her? Chrysalis would, but beyond that she held little. "Here, witch," someone spat in a raspy voice, rattling with the lock on her cell. The dark-haired woman shifted her gaze over to meet the scrawny man, who held a tray of food and drink. "Sustenance for your vile form." Ari's eyes narrowed, yet said nothing as he slipped the food within her cell. As he turned to leave Ariana leapt to her feet, grasping his throat tightly with a clawed hand surrounded by purple flames of darkness. "Never will you insult anyone like that again," she hissed, strangling the man until he fell limp in her arms. She threw him to the ground, quickly untangling the cloak around his neck and throwing it around her slender form. It was a mystery that the woman was still alive, with her very malnourished body and dwindling muscle mass. She stole one look down the hall, her eyes beginning to glow a dangerous yellow, before quickly sweeping down the hall. -Isaac -- New Empire-- The brunet relaxed as Oryx was unperturbed by his lateness. He sat back in his seat, rubbing his short goatee as he stole a glance over to Zane, whom just appeared through a wall. He didn't know why the man had to act like a ghost everywhere he went and scare the living daylights out of everyone. He for one was very unsettled by the man, partly wondering if anyone else took him the same way. "No problem, we can wait." Isaac nodded to Oryx respectfully before stealing a glance back at Zane. "So, uh, buddy, how does it, like, feel going through objects like that? Has it ever failed you before?" Of course this was a bit of a foolish question, but Isaac was all about passing the time with pleasant conversation.
rikunobodyxiii 700 Posted December 24, 2015 {Keyes: Neutral} After the echo of Deuce's voice died away, the pod's seal broke. It opened slowly, leaving Keyes out in the open, his arms crossed on his chest. After a moment of silence, Keyes' fists banged into the sides of the pod, a pulse of something blue shimmered around the Ash for a moment, then disappeared. A moment later, so did Keyes in a puff of smoke. He reappeared in front of Rei, now with a katana styled sword held in a back handed grip near her throat. His other hand held one of his Furis, which pointed directly at Deuce. "You are not Orokin." Keyes said, his voice deep and resonating. "What are you?" {Ciriel: Messiah} "Mhmm" Ciriel grunted as she took another sip of her chocolate milk. "I'm sure he is." She capped the milk, then stuck it in a pocket. "I understand the suit is suppose to provide life support. What happens if it shuts down?"
The Unversed 168 Posted December 24, 2015 (edited) - Zane - New Empire - currently in a meeting in Langerdon As Zane was waiting in silence looking over the hologram showing the world's shape, Zane's attention was instantly taken by someone strange (Dorian) entering through the meeting rooms main doors. Since Zane's face was covered by a strange looking white demon mask it was impossible to tell just what his expressions were. But one thing was certain, Zane was staring at this strange person (Dorian) that had just entered the room not taking his eyes off him. The lifeless stare from Zane was broken when Isaac spoke to him, Zane's head turned to Isaac slowly. Zane's head soon turned to staring at Isaac's machine gun at his waist, "Hmm..." was all that come from Zane's mouth almost like he was just uninterested in starting up any conversation with anyone in the meeting room. But just after a few minutes passed Zane spoke to Isaac "No it hasn't...What's your reason for joining the new empire?" said Zane in a somewhat almost deep voice. - Rei - Neutral - currently outside of Krile As Rei waited, curiously focusing on if the strange pod like thing to do anything after she had pressed at button but nothing was happening. "Hmm...maybe it's broken?" said Rei to herself a bit disappointed. Rei turned around only to be rushed towards by 3 strange tough looking people, "Oh my! What's this?" said Rei as she taken by surprise. Rei stood still for a moment staring at the man looking a bit red in the face right before he spoke to her. The strange captain Rufus seemed nice & trustworthy but then Rei's nose got a sniff of him. "Oh my...goodness me." said Rei as she then quickly cover her nose with her first aid medical bag "He smells like something died in a wet sock, but I'm sure hes still nice" thought Rei. But before Rei could answer the nice captain, the cryo pod finally started to do something. The pod had opened up & in a puff of smoke Rei soon found herself with a katana blade near her throat scared out of her skin & she hadn't even noticed that another person (Deuce) was near them either. "Ahh!, I-I-I'm just, well I, what I mean to say is. Please don't hurt me! I only wanted to help you out of that strange egg!" said Rei still scared for her life. Arya Stark 1,337 Posted December 24, 2015 Ryonne -- Messiah The Swordsman turned around to look at Maxis. He resisted lashing out at the... thing. "What is your business merc?" Ryonne said coldly. He did not wait for an answer, and began to clean up the dummy, tossing each piece into a trash bin. Ryonne did not like Maxis for several reasons. For one thing, he was a mercenary, and one that would do anything for coin, unlike Mikhail, who had some sense of morality. For another, he was mysterious, with none of them having any real idea who he was or where he came from, aside from the fact that he had formerly acted with the Empire. And finally, he was powerful. Very very strong. Maxis could easily take out all of them, aside from Eclaire, given the right circumstances. Those three together... They spelled bad news. Vortludo -- The Seraphim Order Vortludo took the banana bread graciously, and after a quick bite of the delightful treat, answered his girlfriend. "You have missed the true point of our work Ava." He began. He performed a grand waving gesture over the village before speaking again. "It matters not if this world will collapse or not. All things collapse. Even the sun will one day explode. What does matter, is what happens until then. I work to make this world as comfortable for all of us as we await the fall in peace." The Noble said, articulating his motivation with ease. "And what makes me smile is having you with me when we do this work." He concluded his thoughts, giving her a broad grin. "And yes, we must return now. I hear rumors that Yevgeni has news for us all." Kinzoku & Die and Naja of the Crow's Eyes -- New Empire Die stood up quickly, Naja following the motion. The Crow nodded to the messenger. "Excellent. Come Naja, we'd best not delay this meeting further." He said, moving forward, his cane and shoes clacking against the ground in a rhythmic fashion. His partner followed aside, not making a sound when walking as usual. She whispered into Die's ear. "He hasn't given us an order for a little while, what do you think he is planning?" "I don't know what he thinks... That is what I am most weary of about him." Die replied, as they moved into the room. They sat on the far side of the table, sitting next to each other as usual. Kinzoku skipped into the room right after them, having taken the time to reform her little figure back into an ingot and float it into her bag. She sat next to Isaac, and waved to everybody around the table. "Now then, it appears we are all here. Shall we get started?" Die said with a wave to the map across the table. Neena -- Tanzynite Crusade Neena grimaced when Henry made his offer of helping with dinner. "I'll pass, thanks. Last time you did that we didn't get the smell out of the apartment for a week." She commented. The Assassin was exaggerating of course. Kind of what she did. She continued working for a moment, sliding the meat into the pan. "What'd you find out about the Seraphim Order?" She asked, very curious what kind of intel her "partner" had found. "I assume it's another rebellion, considering the Order of Lux kind of went bye bye?" There had been no rebellion activity here in Langerdon since Oryx's rise, and though there had been rumors of some things, there was nothing substantial. Shulk 8,623 Posted December 25, 2015 Fiora - Messiah Upon hearing the door to her room shut, Fiora slowly woke up and looked around her. It looked like Eclaire had left without waking her up. She sighed, wishing that she'd woken up a little earlier. She would have liked to at least say bye to Eclaire before she went off to do work... She slowly rose out of bed and quickly got ready to head out and do some work. She wasn't quite sure what she'd need to do today. She typically did whatever she could to help out Eclaire, even if it was just a small job, but she didn't have the chance to ask about it. She decided to spend some time walking around the ship and seeing if her assistance was needed anywhere. Once she was dressed and properly equipped, she opened the door and left her room, quietly shutting the door behind her. Shortly after leaving the room, she noticed a cloaked figure strolling through the halls. Of course, she recognized him instantly. Not many young, cloaked elves were aboard the ship. "Oh, Jadis!" She called out, and walked quickly towards the boy. "How have you been? It's been a while since we last saw each other." She pointed out, happy that she managed to run into him. She had wondered how he was doing lately. Allitt - Messiah Allitt entered the ship's lounge, hoping to find a quiet place. She could have stayed in her room, but she was getting bored staring at the same old wall. She wanted something new. She sat down in a nearby chair and took a deep breath. She wished that she could be her usual cheery self, although she had something else on her mind. It had been a long time since she'd seen, or even heard about her brother. She was worrying about what had happened to him. What if he'd been killed by someone from the other rebellion? Maybe he'd become even more violent, and was beyond help. Maybe she'd even have to fight him to the death, now that they were on opposing sides... She didn't regret joining the rebellion. She knew that she was fighting for good now. Of course, she still didn't like being separated from her brother the way she had been for months now. She became lost in her thoughts, wondering when she'd ever see him again, assuming she ever did... Indy - Empire Indy stepped into the meeting room, not quite sure if he was late or not. Thankfully, it looked like it hadn't started yet. He found a seat and sat in it, silently observing the other imperial soldiers in the room. He hated meetings. They just served as distractions from his personal quest. Of course, he'd never admit this. He knew they were important in some way, but he'd prefer to just focus on his own work. As long as he got to take on some rebels, he'd be as happy as he could be in his current mood. He knew that might not bring him any closer to finding out the truth behind his sister's supposed death, but at least it could help him to blow off some steam. Maybe he'd figure out a good plan while doing it. He remained quiet as he waited for the meeting to start.
Scrapmaster 1,731 Posted December 25, 2015 (edited) (forgive me mystic but oryx does not forgive the goldolvia slaughter) - Henry Hansees - Mutual cooperation - "Hey, im not that bad a chef...my breakfasts are pretty good..." Henry said with a sigh, only his breakfasts were good though... he then extended a map of the entire continent, showing all capitals and whatnot, with a few notes he himself scribbed in red marker pen, "Well, first the Seraphim order." He said as he began to catch his breath, this was a handfull. "Their leader...Yevgeni, I didn't get to work with him, but I heard of him through rebel soldiers and whatnot...he is accompanied in his rule by Vortludo and Cobica. They seem to lead the Seraphim order with good authority...all's well and good...until..." with that he put his right index finger in the capital named goldovia. "Until they started massacring anyone they thought were imperial, ex-imperial or even had dealings with them, this also included innocent families and children, a village near it was entirely wiped out..." Henry said as his voice cracked at the end, with clear disgust in his tone. "Eclaire's order, while crazy and suicidal in its tactics, fought for the greater good, keeping innocents away, wanting order and justice...but what this Yevgeni has done to the order, turning it into Seraphim order and completely squandering its reputation...they're no worse than the old imperials." Henry said as he crossed his arms. "Meanwhile they're still operating in the City of ruin, the old rebel hideout. Seems like they weren't overtaken and managed to keep hold of it..." he said. "Eclaire's alive, I know that much, I saw her escape, while me and tiriel got left behind to buy them time...she's planning a comeback, I know it..." Henry also added in. - Oryx "The taken king" - New empire leader - and Dex - The taken kings former host. Seeing as the subjects were all here, Oryx kept sitting in his throne. "Indeed we can...Mr.Die." Oryx spoke, his voice echoing around the room as well. "First...financial and agricultural status of the continet...it is...rather low...Agriculture takes time to develop, and our economical infraestructure has been weak as of late...but thankfully." Oryx said as he pointed at Dorian, the person who wasn't supposed to be in the meeting at all, but this man would prove useful. "Oh yes Dorian, I know why you came, and allowed you into my room, I know why you came, with trading offers with your organisation...more talk will be done after the meeting, for now, relax and enjoy the meeting...and please Warpriest don't look at Dorian like that its rude, he's a guest" Oryx said as the warpriest had been eyeing Dorian ever since he entered the room. but soon stopping at Oryx's order. "Now, to territories...it is of horrible news that a village of ex-imperial stragglers was wiped out near Goldolvia..." He said as a few seconds of silent reigned the room, as the room's light began to flicker, "I may condone killing of threats, I may condone corruption as long as one can redeem himself, I may condone disbehavior and the breaking of rules..." Oryx began "But I do not condone the killing of innocent civilians which also were in that village" Oryx said with much anger in his tone as he slammed his fist onto the table as the whole room shacked, "entirely wiped out with no remorse...no mercy...no guilt...I do not forgive senseless slaughter and the Seraphim order apparently likes to do just that..." Oryx said, now a bit more calm, "The Seraphim order...the remnants of the rebellion from a year ago...lead by a, once innocent boy, turned genocidal maniac and his co-horts...they have managed to claim territory in the continent..." Oryx said as the map lit up. As the capitals of Hylvania, Kaipora and Rengen were lit. "These three capitals...are going to be attacked by my forces soon, and we will seize them to our command..." Oryx said, "Warpriest...you will attack Hylvania, take it back, minimize losses and don't dare to kill any innocents unles you absolutely have to..." Oryx ordered. "As for the other two capitals...any volunteers?" Oryx asked the members of the meeting, some of which were highly capable fighters. "Getting there will be quick, teleportation...I merely need your opinions, and which of these capitals you wish to help take back...we must move swiftly against the seraphim order if we wish to minimize any damage and losses...we must expand our territories, that massacre in goldolvia, was call to war...and it will not go forgotten." Oryx said, his voice echoed in the room, "So...Volunteers?" Oryx asked. Maxis "Prime" - New messiah's freeloader (?) - (full tease mode activated) Maxis simply held up his hands jokingly, expressing he meant no harm, but it was hard to read, he couldn't exactly see through the armor for an expression. "Nice to meet you too Ryonne." Maxis teased, as he walked around the gym as he watched Ryonne cleaning up "I think you're wondering if you can trust me..." Maxis said with a chuckle, "You can,, don't worry about Oryx though, his contract is kind of...too overtaking, and im not really into swearing loyalty to anyone, and then theres no other factions that can pay more than the messiahs after the upcoming war is done and we win...probably" Maxis said leaning against a wall crossing his arms. "But i'l say this...if you believe I am a threat to the people in this ship...attack me" Maxis said simply as he went to set up a dummy. "Simple as that, attack me, kill me, no one would object to me being killed." he said chuckling, "Half the people in this ship don't even look my way!...uncloacked or not" Maxis explained as he finsihed setting up the dummy. With his back turned to Ryonne, "On a side note, any new from the cities?" he asked nonchalantly. Gabriel stross - Messiah's mechromantic engineer, also prisoner. - Gabriel stretched his arms as his Ai began to answer Ciriel's question, "Life support is mostly there for use when his respiratory organs fail, which can happen is he tries to speak...otherwise, he doesn't have a problem, however any hits to his chest can also impact his already fragile lungs, armor or not the impact still goes through, and it may force his body to shutdown." The Ai explained. And gabriel stood there, hoping the damn thing wouldn't explain possible ways for him to die to other people...it was very, VERY embarrassing. "Well, whats your story?" The Ai asked ciriel, "How'd you end up as the medic in this ship and anything interesting before it?" it asked, like a curious child. Atrias 19 Posted December 25, 2015 Deuce: outside Kirle As he noticed the pirates he was unsure on how to act. Normally he was taught to devide them into two distinct parties: the lowlifes and the ones that could benefit them. Last he checked they weren’t shooting or pillaging so he approached. Should they be members of one of the many “Failed trading partners” it’d be best to run as fast as possible. As he neared however the pod opened and before he knew it there was a blade pointed at his face. The person who came out was seemingly very eager to draw and kill. He mentioned something about Orokin and asked who they were. He gulped and very slowly pressed a button imbedded in his tooth. “E-Easy now big guy … I’m from orient trading. If you’re lost or … Um … experiencing psyche side effects?” Dorian: Oryx council He was slightly annoyed by the war priest but it ended when the leader began speaking. As was mentioned he sat down but turned away from everyone as the war part was not his concern … Unless his little experiment would turn out a point of interest. He didn’t want to specifically intervine and instead examined the full cast at the meeting. (nothing of note happens to the other four)
rikunobodyxiii 700 Posted December 25, 2015 {Keyes: Neutral} "Your aid was unnecessary." Keyes told Rei. But then what? Wait for the Lotus? No, he had had enough of that. He glanced over at Deuce, then over to Rufus and his companions. He had thought all of the intruders to be a unit, but it seemed they were segmented into their own factions. Current covering efforts were incomplete and possibly unnecessary. "I would suggest you leave." Keyes said. "There is nothing left here but the fossils." He disappeared again in a puff of smoke, reappearing on the far side of the cryo pod. While he kept one of his Furis' out, he didn't point it at anyone in particular. He stuck his Nikana in the sheath still in the pod. He took out the sheath and stuck it to his left side, where it adhered like a magnet. He pulled out his second Furis and placed it against his right thigh, where it also adhered. "Before you go, perhaps you would do me the curtesy of telling me what world this is, and how far from the star it is." The Tenno said. As he spoke, he pulled out a quiver of arrows and stuck it to his back. Finally, he pulled out his bow and just held it. He then glanced over at Deuce again. "And what do you mean, 'psyche side affects?'" {Ciriel: Messiah} The Fallen Angel nodded as Gabriel's condition was explained. "Alright." She said. "I should be able to be of help of your suit fails or you suffer injury." She crossed her arms and gave the prisoner a critical look. "Your computer really needs to make it clear which are its questions and which are yours." She said dryly. "Either way, I'm just an out of work angel who found something fun to do with her time. The medic thing is more of a necessity thing."
Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted December 29, 2015 -Jadis -- Messiah- The mage had nearly made it to the showers when he heard his name being called from behind. He turned to find Fiora, smiling, seeming happy to see him. A wave of childishness washed over Jadis as he rushed forward in her direction and offered her a tight huge. "It has been a while. How have you been, and how are your missions coming along? It has been much time since Eclaire has assigned me to anything. I fear she doesn't trust me, though I have proven my worth." He stiffened slightly, brushing his steel locks from his face as his eyes shifted from the corner and back to her. "I would love to accompany you during one of your missions." -Isaac -- New Empire- The general couldn't help but smirk as he noticed Zane's gaze fall to his machine gun. "I was a former general to Emperor Korben, and I do not see myself aligning with any other nation." It was a curious question, he thought, especially coming from another imperial officer, but before he could note further the new Emperor, Oryx, began to speak, causing all to fall silent. It partly surprised Isaac to hear that an order whose slogan was unified peace ended up being killing civilians. This just gave Isaac all the more reason to take down this resistance group. It was one thing to attack their armed men, but another matter entirely to take on their helpless women and children. When a moment of silence fell upon the council, Isaac rose and placed his palms against the table. "With all due respect, Sire," the general started, "I feel that it would be best to target Kaipora first and foremost. It's surrounded by imperial territory, places where we can keep backup and medics, if necessary. I fear we would be too greatly outnumbered should we make a move toward Rengen, or at least as we are. The Seraphim Order is mighty. With their preach of peace and prosperity they have won the hearts of many, and as for these attacks"--Isaac's gaze shifted to Goldovia--"I don't know how Malachite is doing it without the rest of the order knowing it. I don't think anyone would support what he's done, so clearly there must be something more to it that we are not yet privy to. "With your permission, Sire, I would like to be assigned to the task of reclaiming Kaipora. All I will need is an army and good weaponry. And the metal mage, if you would be so kind." --Ava - Seraphim Order-- The raven-haired young woman rested a hand on Vortludo's shoulder, offering him a light smile. "Now I think you're just saying things to flatter me," she said playfully, though in truth she really did take his statement well. Vortludo's response to her question did seem reasonable; the world couldn't get better overnight. "Still, though," Ava finally added, returning to the topic at hand. "I don't think this is the way things have to be. After all, how long has it been since we've made any hostile move toward the Empire, aside from the attack on Godolvia that resulted in a freak explosion?" There was little time to speak on the matter, however, as they approached the airship bound to return to the Kingdom of Orience, where Yevgeni and likely Cobica awaited them. Yevgeni did indeed promise plans, and he would want to hear how things went in Rhasolvich. People cheered from either side as they approached the airship, a young girl with sandy-brown hair approaching them. In her hands was a linked chain of flowers, which she clutched tightly in pallid hands. Carefully she tread over to Vortudo and tugged on his clothing. "Excuse me, sir. I--I really want to thank you for everything you've done. I made this for you, if you would accept. They are enchanted lillies that will never wither, like your order, I pray." Finally the young girl bit her lip, tears forming in her glassy eyes. "You knew my best friend, Jadis, who once served your Order before he, well, before the war." The Unversed 168 Posted December 29, 2015 (edited) - Zane & Zack - New Empire - currently in Langerdon After Isaac told Zane his reason for joining the new empire Zane was ordered to stop staring at the stranger known as Dorian which Zane did. Just after Isaac asked Oryx to be assigned in the taking back of Kaipora Zane stood up from his chair, & without saying a word walked over to the meeting rooms entrance doors stopping just in front of them. Zane turned his head looking over his shoulder towards both Isaac & Dorian before passing through the doors exiting the meeting room. As Zane walked down the hall he could see Zack leaning on a wall within the hallway, As Zane walked passed him Zane stopped for a moment "So...your taking back Hylvania ay?" said Zack to Zane "Get the men ready. We leave in ten, also keep an eye on that one" said Zane "Fine, fine. Maybe I'll get her on this mission too &--" said Zack before he was interrupted by Zane "NO!...we don't need her yet. Just get the men ready" said Zane just before he passed through another wall disappearing. Zack just stood there for a minute "Heh, like I'll do what you say" said Zack before he warped away. - Rei (Neutral) & Yagyu (Seraphim Order) - currently in Krile As Keyes disappeared in another cloud of smoke Rei was relieved he let her live. Then after Keyes reappeared near his cryo pod he asked a very strange question that Rei instantly thought he must be some kind of alien or just a weirdo, but Rei was happy to help in anyway she could "Well Mr.Cryo sir, I'm pretty sure this is earth & as for how far it is from the star which I think you mean the sun, It's...very far away thats for sure haha, OH! I forgot I had someone I have help out! Please excuse me everyone but I must be going now. If your ever injured or hurt please come see me at my house in Krile. My house is on the far side of Krile near an old water-well & it's the only place that's a hospital too. Okay, bye now!" said Rei as she left in a hurry to her house. Rei soon made it back to her house quickly entering the door with the medicine she had been carrying in her hands. Rei's house was small & old but it's still her home, Rei's house as a old water-well near it & a sign on the roof she made saying 'Hospital Help House'. Rei likes to call it the HHH. "Hi! I'm back from Brenaen & I have plenty of medicine to not only fix you up but also to take some home with you too. Isn't that great news" said Rei as she closed the door to her house. "That's great...I guess" said Yagyu as she sat up from her bed near a window. Yagyu had bandages all over her body & was just staring out the window deep in thought. Rei had quickly made some green tea for them both before walking over to her & sitting on a small stool near the bed handing Yagyu a cup of green tea "What's the matter Yagyu? you seem displeased, aren't you happy I got the medicine to finally fix you up to full health? & what about your friends? don't you want to see them too?" said Rei concerned while she took a sip from her cup. Yagyu's eye lowered a bit "No, it's nothing...& as for my allies I've already sent a pigeon carrier with a message to my leader Yevgeni saying that I'm currently in Krile receiving medical treatment & I'll be back as soon as I've recovered." said Yagyu. "So would you mind telling me just how I found you passed out cold near godolvia 3 days ago?" Rei asked curious to know. Yagyu then turned her head to face Rei "I lost a battle to a strange evil looking girl, her name was Dark Heart" said Yagyu as her fist tightened just from saying her name. Endless Thundaga 533 Posted December 30, 2015 (edited) Jynn Venas-Seraphim Order After a long flight overseas, Jynn and his trusty pegasus/horse hybrid, Melstrome ('Mel" for short) land in the City of Ruin. Mel is exhausted from the long flight. As Jynn dismounts him, Mel immediately grazes in an attempt to regain his energy. Jynn was shocked by the emptiness of the city, and looks to see if there is anybody around. But, after a few minutes of searching he sits and wonders, "Where is this "Yevgeni" guy? I heard his rebellion was based here, but there is nobody to be seen." He waits a few hours for someone to help give him directions to Yevgeni. Shortly after his coronation in his kingdom, Jynn set out to join the war against Oryx after hearing recent events about his takeover of the Korbenic Empire, believing his people are in danger. He has also heard about the efforts of Eclaire Tonnerre and her rebellion, although, Jynn is quite skeptical about her "death". He is determined to side with anyone against Oryx and the Korbenic Empire. After a few hours of waiting, Jynn calls Mel and is about to mount him in attempt to find Yevgeni. Arya Stark 1,337 Posted December 31, 2015 Cobica -- Seraphim Order "Turns out the look outs weren't lying." A man with quite a bit of swagger in his step approaches Jynn, his blade glinting in the sunlight. He gave the king a smile, but it was like a crocodile's. Full of ulterior motives and danger. "A very interesting looking man with a messed up horse with wings is on our doorstep. My sincerest apologies for not greeting you sooner." Cobica said, giving a full bow, but it was so theatrical that there was no way it was honest. "So what's your business here buddy? Spying? Sabotage? Selling some cookies? I'll take some of those minty ones, they're always the best. People constantly try to tell me that I'm wrong, and that the peanut butter chocolate ones are better, but trust me, those might as well be horse shit compared to the mints." Cobica seemed to be kind of ranting this point... Perhaps a bit distracted. He pulled his sword from his back. "Unfortunately, I happen to know that we're not on the cookie route." The Half-Breed's voice turned grim. "So it looks like we'll be meeting with blades instead." Vortludo -- Seraphim Order "I'm certain Yev knows what he's doing." Vortludo dismissed Ava's worries with a wave of his hand, not even considering them. Almost as if... He was afraid to. "Besides, perhaps that is what his news is?" The Noble continued, about to board the ship when a little girl tugged on his cloak. He turned and looked to her with a smile. When he heard what she had to say, he immediately knelt. "My girl..." Vortludo's tone was getting a little shaky now. "Jadis was the bravest child I had ever had the pleasure of meeting." He took the flower chain from the girl. "I will be certain to honor him with these. And I will be even more certain to make sure that his sacrifice will not go to waste. Now go, go home. Await better news, which I will be sure to bring." The Noble said, brushing his hand gently down her hair.He turned her back down to the crowd, and smiled to her, hoping that she would do as he had asked. They after all, had to be going. If he was going to make good on that promise, the first step was getting back to the Isle. Ryonne -- Messiah The Swordsman grimaced. He wanted to take Maxis up on this offer, he really did... But why did he hesitate. "No." Ryonne said loudly and clearly. "No, I won't. Because as much of the threat you are, you are twice the asset. And we need all the assets we can get these days." Ryonne concluded, beginning to walk away from the room. As he departed, he gave a last answer to Maxis' other question. "And I hear nothing's new. Aside from the Seraphim Order butchering another village. I swear, they're more savage than Korben was." Ryonne shook his head slightly. He closed the door to the gym as he began to walk down the hall. Kinzoku & Die and Naja of the Crow's Eyes -- New Empire Kinzoku smiled brightly towards Isaac, and nodded vigorously. "I'd love to! Anything for your Grace, the Emperor after all!" Kinzoku said quickly, agreeing to go with Isaac to Kaipora. She was certain that between the two of them, no filthy rebels would be able to stand in their way! Die raised an eyebrow towards Oryx. "Is that all your Grace? As much as I'd love to offer me and my allies to also take one of these targets, I'm afraid we're not much for open combat. Warfare... That's a business we're not particularly invested in." Die claimed. He was of course, confident that the Crow's Eyes could do it... But that wouldn't be very... beneficial to his own goals. And any chance he could take to not put them in a situation where one or more of them were likely to die, he would take. Neena -- Tanzynite Crusade "If you compare them to dog food." Neena muttered insultingly in response to Henry's breakfast comment. She tended to do this when she was bored or anxious. After all, insulting was just a kind of refuge for her when it came to social situations. She listened to the rest of his news, and shook her head. "We should take out any Seraphim we find here in the city. Them gaining power would be just as detrimental as Oryx keeping it. I'll keep an eye out, try and ask around to see if I can find any spies or rebels about." She had been continuing to cook this whole time, keeping her eyes on the dinner she was preparing. But now she turned around. "And how many times do I have to tell you. There is no way Eclaire is still up and about. Even if she managed to escape the Palace, the entire Imperial force would have been hunting her down. There's no way she's still around." Neena turned back to the pan. "Might as well start looking for another messiah to put your hopes in, considering neither one of us would be much of a leader."
