Soravids 1,056 Posted December 29, 2014 In the most recent Kingdom Hearts χ[chi] update, a very important new story was added. This story gives us some very important info on the Book of Prophecies. Kingdom Hearts χ[chi] is still exclusive to Japan and currently has no plans to be localized. Thankfully, you can now view the translated walkthrough below thanks to Kingdom Hearts χ[chi] team members Everglow and SkyKeybladeHero. What are your thoughts on Kingdom Hearts χ[chi] being extremely connected to the rest of series, as the Book of Prophecies in the HD version of Kingdom Hearts Re:coded from Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX? What do you think about Ephemera and that Chirithy turning darker? On a first impression it seems like Chirithies aren't so innocent after all. Sorarocks93 678 Posted December 29, 2014 (edited) I'm just going to post what I said in the other thread. Ephemera has white hair. We all know what that means right? He is probably meddling with the darkness. If a player dies so does his/her Chirithy. This means they share a connection. So maybe if a player is exposed/meddling with the darkness is affects his/her Chirithy. Dunno but the connections seem too obvious. And that white hair is just a dead giveaway. Kaweebo 3,617 Posted December 29, 2014 (edited) I'd prefer if someone explained this whole thing better, because right now it makes zero sense, and that's saying something coming from the Kingdom Hearts franchise. All I'm getting from this is the only 'World' that really exists is Daybreak Town, but somehow you go to Disney worlds that don't really exist because they're illusions? But we go to those worlds to collect light fragments, because it's impossible to do so just from the 'real' world...so a non-existent world was made somehow...and then something about Mickey, Donald and Goofy show up at one point from the future...or something? SO, does that mean that the Disney worlds of the games are just hologram people? How does that work, or even make sense? Does the Book of Prophecies import characters from other universes into KH almost like the copy of Tron in Space Paranoids, or are they literally holograms? Is the KH universe completely data? Did the Keyblade War completely change the rules of the universe? EDIT: It seems the actual video was translated better than it was when I saw this article on KHInsider yesterday. It makes a little bit more sense, but most of my questions still apply. It is said those Books have the power to harness the power from the future, so my guess is that the Fortellers are using those Books of Prophecy to bring the worlds of the future to the past in order to be able to gather Light. They are worlds that shouldn't exist in that time, so I think that's why they're referred to as "illusions". Of course, the Disney worlds in the other games exist in their proper time, so they're not illusions. The Books of Prophecies deal with time, not parallel worlds, in my understanding. 8 PrinceNoctis, Kaweebo, Exiblade7 and 5 others reacted to this

Sorarocks93 678 Posted December 29, 2014 (edited) ...what makes you think that the colour of your hair has anything to do with darkness? It's an usual thing Square does with their characters. Riku, Xehanort, Sephiroth etc. etc. Well atleast in KH it signifies that. Actually nvm. It's not just Square. It's just a thing in Japan, so yeah. It's not just Square. It's just a thing in Japan, so yeah. Hair colours are symbolic in Japan, like red hair for a hotheaded person, blue hair for an intelligent person, and such. Silver hair is used to represent a "cool" mysterious, or powerful character. Generally associated with anti heroes or enigmatic figures. It's not really a darkness thing, and it's important to note that Sephiroth only has ties to darkness in KH lore
Exiblade7 1,917 Posted December 29, 2014 (edited) Since the word "illusions" is referring to the worlds that are not supposed to be there in that period of time, those that mean that the worlds that players had to go to in kingdom hearts chi are "illusions"? This game is getting interesting very second. Edited December 29, 2014 by Toon Link

Just that he is a bad guy. And as you said, anti heroes. Also his Chirithy is darker. With the whole Chirithy being tied to the player it just makes too much sense for it to be a coincidence. Doesn't matter if he is bad or not. He probably has ties to the darkness. Just like Riku does. Edited December 29, 2014 by Sorarocks93

Hero of Winds 2,576 Posted December 29, 2014 At this point, I'm severely disappointed in the direction of Chi. Why should I be told it's important to the series, if I'm not able to play it with a full understanding? Yes we have these videos, but shouldn't there be a bigger playing field for Chi due to its importance?

VexenReplica 154 Posted December 29, 2014 Gonna post this here because it has ties with this whole thing. I posted it back on the Chirithy page but it's worth a re-link. http://forums.khinsider.com/kingdom-hearts-iii/194630-rebirth.html It's interesting reading considering all of this going on... Crack theory i thought of just now! If this is true, then why does our cute new character not have a Foreteller's Keyblade? Instead he just has the default keyblade that everyone has, Starlight. Unless he can/will inherit a specific keyblade or perhaps forge his own... hmmm...
Isamu Kuno 2,512 Posted December 29, 2014 did you just start playing KH? This has been par for the course since the first Final Mix and Ultimania were released Yeah, but the FM don't usually have so much that affect the series and Ultimania just gives us behind-the-scenes info. What they are doing with Chis is they are turning it into a fully canonical game with information and lore that is extremely important to the future of the series that has no plans to ever be officially be made available outside Japan. It's like if they had never brought CoM over and just went strait to KH II.
