My Kingdom Hearts III Release Date Theory!

Hey there everyone, how's it going?  Well then, as we all clearly know, we are desperately hyped for Kingdom Hearts III, and the obvious question in our minds is when the game will release?  While some people say that it'll be next year and others say it'll be in 2016, I think that Kingdom Hearts III will end up coming to us in 2017. Here I shall explain my reasons.  (If I made a topic out of this before, then I apologize, but I don't remember making a topic about this, I just remember posting in other topics relating to the release date of the game.)

 

Now then, here I shall state my three reasons as to why I think the game will come out in 2017:

  • Reason Number One:  Now then, as we all know, we've been waiting for Kingdom Hearts III ever since we finished Kingdom Hearts II back in 2006, so that's a total of 8 years, but remember that we were waiting for a third game, but the game in and of itself wasn't announced way back then like Final Fantasy Versus XIII was. (Now known as Final Fantasy XV.)  The game was officially announced last year, so in truth, we've only been waiting a year for this game, because now is when we officially know of its existence.  I mean sure, we all speculated that a III would eventually arrive, and heck, I thought Birth By Sleep was Kingdom Hearts III at one point, but that wasn't the case, as it was revealed to be a prequel to the series.  And well, 8 years since 2006, we've gotten all these amazing games that connect with the main story, and we've got the ReMixes, which are basically our hype devices for Kingdom Hearts III!
  • Reason Number Two:  I personally think that the game will take a four year development cycle.  Think about it.  The gap between Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II is by four years. (2002-2006)  For this reason, I believe that Kingdom Hearts III will come out in 2017, since it was announced last year.  (Hence the development cycle would be from 2013-2017.)  And when it comes to it, it makes sense, since Kingdom Hearts III is undoubtedly one of the many projects Nomura's involved in that will keep him busy until 2019.  With that in mind, I think this is what will happen.  We'll get a decent amount of news next year, a lot more news and advertisements in 2016, and 2017 will basically be the year when Square goes all out in blowing our hype meters to the limit.
  • Reason Number Three:  If all of you stop and think, take into account that 2017 will be the 15th Anniversary of the Kingdom Hearts series, and what better way to commemorate 15 years of this amazing franchise than releasing Kingdom Hearts III?  This final reason, I believe, is my most concrete of the reasons listed here, and well, I strongly think that Kingdom Hearts III will come out in 2017.  But Nomura said that we'd get one Kingdom Hearts game a year, so what will Square Enix release in the meantime, you ask?  Well, that's simple.  Next year we're most probably going to get a Remaster of some sort, be it of the whole game or just the cutscenes of Dream Drop Distance, and I'm guessing that Nomura would try to incorporate something concerning Kingdom Hearts X in 2016 that will allow more fans to experience it, or something like that.

So yeah, that's my theory of Kingdom Hearts III's release date.  I'm one of the people who thinks that Square should take their time making this game.  I want to play a masterpiece, not a rushed product, so please Square, make sure to release the game in 2017 and not a year later! So then, what do you all think?  Does my theory make sense?  I realize there may be some flaws in my theory, but hell, that's why I posted it here, so that we can all debate on the release date!  So then, debate away! :D

I believe your theory is okay and I wouldn't mind waiting for 2017 if it really helps KHIII to be the great game we all want to. I think you hit some very good points to consider, but even with all the theories we might create Nomura will always come with a striker kick to delete our hopes or raising them so I don't know anymore... :P

Pretty fair theory, and yeah, it is likely that we will get something related to 3D next year and something related to X the following year. I really hope we get all of those items on the list taken care of before KH3's release, the OCD fan within me craves for everything to be remastered/released before KH3 is released to us! X3 <3

2015 will be the Year Kingdom Hearts 3 Will come out.

 

Here is why. They've been developing de game over 4 years. ( I think if u can make Unity in 4 years then Kingdom Hearts 3 also)They've alway thought of 1.5, 2.5 and 3 at the same time of making it.In the end of 2.5 you saw footage of 3D and Kh3, Which kinda means that after 2.5 Kh3 (With 3D?) will come out just like what happend with 1.5 and 2.5.They have a deadline, so they have a Year in mind when they wanna release KH3, because they're always talking about that they don't wanna Delay KH3.

So if you ask me they've always wanted to release 1.5 in 2013 2.5 in 2014 and Kh3 in 2015.

I don't think so. We've hardly gotten any news, They said we'd be getting a lot of news in 2015 and they usually start announcing worlds about  6 moths to a year before release. Since we're supposed to get more news next year maybe (hopefully) 2016, but the 2017 date does make a lot of sense when you consider that it's the 15 anniversary.

I know this game is going to be awesome, besides I really want this game like now but I prefer them to take their time, because heck, I'm not buying a $400.00 dollars console for a game that turned out to be rushed, so, Square Enix, take your time, I'll wait what is needed for the next numbered title.

Haha, yeah, everyone, the hype for Kingdom Hearts III increases with each passing day!  I'm sure that Nomura and the folks at Square will deliver us an unforgettable finale to the Xehanort Saga, and that finale shall be emotional!  Let's see if the game will be released in 2017!!! :D

I'm going to be the heck old, but It'll be worth it.

You bet it'll be worth it!  When we finally have the game in our hands, it shall be an emotionally awesome moment! :')I

 

I don't even want to imagine my reaction when I have it on my hands putting my disc turning on the TV :,) And see the main title screen OK, no more emotional thinking, because I'm going to cry.

The game has been in development for four years already. This is proof if you do not believe me: http://kh13.com/games/kingdom-hearts-3/

So if it takes a four year cycle to make it, then it should have been out already this year. I see no KH3 on any shelves. It might be next year, hopefully, or worst case early 2016.
