I don't think we can really complain about the pin this time around because JP isn't really getting anything much better. But I still prefer JP's keychain.

God dammit Square Enix. Even Dream Drop Distance premium was better than this! Not even a Chirithy doll, I am not happy!

No soundtrack? No artbook? Where's it?

This is the Limited Edition, not the Collector's Edition. the CE will be (hopefully) announced at a later time.

I don't see this on the North American store. Also I hope they announce a Collectors Edition soon because I am so getting one if they do!

Why Pin again. xD I had to cancel my order of KH2.5 limited edition after they announced the collector's edition. Considering that, I am definitely not pre-ordering KH2.8 yet until they announce a collector's edition.

I'm thinking we'll see a Collector's Edition at some point...

but I hope it doesn't have the Chirithy plushie because I already pre-ordered that =P.

Well, back to the pin again I guess.

At this point I'm not sure if I'm willing to make another fuss out of this, since for all we know Square might just pull another 2.5 on us and announce a special collector's edition with all 3 games and an art book or something crazy like that. If trying to make sense out of their business moves has taught me anything, it's to wait a bit longer and you might be surprised with what they announce in a month or two.

But there's also the chance that this is all we're getting. Again, I'd rather get something more akin to the 1.5+2.5 collector's edition, but for all I know we might still be getting that announced around December or so. So until we know for sure that they don't plan on releasing anything more than just this, I still plan on pre-ordering this as it is. In any case I didn't cancel my limited edition preorder of 2.5 when the collector's edition got announced, I had enough money for both so I got both. Having copies is very handy when it comes to having friends who want to borrow the game themselves. With that in mind, I'll still preorder a collector's edition should it be announced.

But come on, this is SE we're talking about here. I can almost guarantee that some time within the next 4 weeks they'll announce some huge mega-ultra-super-special-awesome KH 2.8 + 2.5 + 1.5 supreme collector's edition with a Chirithy plush, the 2.8 soundtrack, an art book, and the pin itself for Japan, be silent about whether or not they're going to bring it over to other countries for like almost two months, then announce it at the last second. At this point I'm better off saving my breath for if they say that they will never bring it over, THAT would be fair grounds for whining "Square be fair" again.

Seriously though guys, let's not jump onto the Complain Train just yet. I'm seriously getting 2.5 vibes here.

What did i miss? Oh another Pin.

Please not another #squarebefair thing, i´m sick of the last time. We still got the collectors edition overseas so i don´t see any problems.

Dang again a pin. Wait that could mean that there will be likely a collector's edition.

We need to wait for December for that announcement I guess.

I'm certainly not going to. This absolutely screams of another 2.5 situation, at least to me. I bet in a month or two, we'll be getting news of a 2.5 CE. Given how much emphasis they've placed on the plush toys in the past, I have a feeling they'll include a Chirithy or a Meow Wow in a potential CE, which alone would make people flock to it. Including an artbook is standard for all of these, so let's look at their track record. The 1.5 limited edition did that, whereas it was only available for the 2.5 collector's edition, not the limited. If 2.8 follows the same trend, we'll be getting an artbook in a more expensive collection. I can guarantee that if they do produce a CE, it'll have one of the two aforementioned plushies and an artbook, as well as the pin. That's what we got for 2.5, so that's the most likely outcome. They might add the keychain of Lea's Keyblade as well, but that would most likely being a Japan-exclusive item, given the current pre-order situation.

Whether or not they include the 1.5 and 2.5 discs is up for debate, and I'd personally think that wouldn't happen, considering that those games are on a different system entirely (unless they suddenly came out with PS4 ports they've magically kept hidden from us until just a month or two before release). Soundtrack? Okay, I could see it, considering Japan's 1.5 + 2.5 collection got a promo OST. But unless DDD's soundtrack got remastered (something I highly doubt, since the majority of BBS' music didn't need it), that leaves only Back Cover and 0.2 BBS. The demo of 0.2 BBS points to the possibility of it not having much in the way of new tracks, and Back Cover's...well, only an hour long. I'm not holding my breath, but it could be a possibility under certain conditions. Anyway, I can see the OST and maybe the 1.5 + 2.5 being a thing in Japan (#SquareBeFair), but even that's slim given the circumstances I outlined above.

As far as the timeframe we'll have to wait in order to possibly get a CE announcement, we're potentially looking at about a month before release, since that's approximately when 2.5 got its announcement. So hey, look for something around Christmas, I guess.

So yeah, I'm hopeful. Personally, I'll be pre-ordering this just to secure it, but if something happens to come up, I'm immediately going to replace that order with whatever they announce. If we don't get plenty of stuff along with it, then that's life, and I'm not gonna cry about it. I advise everyone else to have similar optimism until a few weeks before release.

Anyone noticed how there is no hint of digital stuff like costumes or shit like that? I like this, not for the pin, i couldnt care less, it kinda hardens my belief that KH will be spared from DLC mess like FFXV is.

Guys, this is different then how it was with 2.5, in Japan they had so much more stuff then what everyone else got, which was a pin then they announced the collectors edition so that was the whole Square be fair thing.  Now things are different Japan is getting a keychain of Lea's Keybalde, while everyone else is getting the Pin, which looks really cool.  Just wait I'm sure next month they will announce a Collectors Edition exclusive for the Square Store, which I've heard their shipping situation is terrible, I hope that it would be available for other retailers but I highly doubt it.  Let's just see what will happen if they announce one and if it's a really good one I might get it..

I doubt there's going to be a Collector's Edition. Japan is usually quick to put all their products for pre-order online. If Japan didn't get a CE, chances are North America will not get a CE, especially for Square Enix. The news of a North American CE came after there was a Japanese CE for 2.5. All based on historical facts though, I'm down for a surprise haha

FYI though that Japan's CEs have bundled cross platform games before. Like the Final Fantasy Box that had all Final Fantasy games up to FFXIII, literally spanning from PS to PS3. So it is probable they can release a CE with 1.5 and 2.5 on PS3 and then 2.8 on PS4.

In terms of an OST, they still have to release the Ray of Hope MIX of Hikari / Simple And Clean, so I'm pretty sure there will be an OST. It'll most likely include all the BGM for Back Cover and 0.2, and maybe some remastered / new tracks from 3D.

It is very likely we are in the same situation with 2.5.

We can get this time soundtrack, Meow Wow/statue Aqua and artbook.

i wish! haha that would be a great CE. id be down for a meow wow plush tbh. im impartial about the soundtrack because i usually buy the soundtracks separately and the ones included in the CEs and LEs are usually compilations or parts of the soundtrack and arent complete anyways. but an artbook would definitely be nice, with lots of concept art (over character renders).

more wishful thinking would be if they ever released a CE in North America / Europe with the quality and calibre of the Japanese 1.5 + 2.5 CE. The box on that CE was so premium, and also a Blu-ray holding Hi-res versions of select audio files, which we've yet to get in a separate release. Just makes a soundtrack coming with a CE far more worth it.

I take back this statement. I seen the value of Disney pins, and oh boy... they are valuable collector items! I am happy with this collectors edition!
