New staff position-- creating KH news bulletins for our YouTube

Posted

Does anyone have any experience with speaking to an audience online, and creating videos? If you do, and you think you would be able to create KH news bulletins with some enthusiasm, then apply for this possible new staff position. We're looking for someone to create KH news bulletins for us to upload to the KH13 YouTube channel (http://www.youtube.com/wwwKH13com/), based on the news from our front page (http://kh13.com/).

Here's the kind of thing we're looking for:

Here's another example:

If you're interested, simply reply here, or send me a private PM if you prefer. We would prefer if you can link to something you've created previously, but if that's not available then that's okay! Feel free to apply anyway.

:)

Update:

If you have video editing skills, but lack any voice skills, that's okay too. We would accept something like this:

Hello,

I make small films, and broadcasts weekly on youtube. This would be an easy piece of cake. I will dedicate my time, and effort into this. If you'd like a link to my channel, please reply requesting so.

Replied to your PM

Remember when there used to be bulletin boards on Youtube?

Updated the first post with another option, for those who don't want to talk in the videos.

I'd be all for it, but what kind of time commitment is there?  I love making videos but I'm pressed for time.

I'm not really sure how long each video would take to make since I've never done anything like this myself, but I'm guessing we'd want around 1 video per week, at least? Preferably more but that would be a good baseline.

I think once per week is good enough. The new staff members have their own personal time and they have to make sure the video is done right so given a weeks time would be efficient enough.

By the way, would the News and Content team be a part of this or not?

Another good example. They should be in 1080p though. IGN only uploads theirs in 720p because they want it up quickly.

A week definitely sounds like a good balance.

I'm not 100% sure what the staff position will be called yet, but you could consider it to be heavily related to the News Team.

Just to be clear to everyone-- whether you can produce videos in 720p or 1080p is completely irrelevant, we're just interested in your speaking abilities and/or video editing abilities, along with a dedication to make these videos weekly.

Why not just make them part of the News and Content team? That position already deals with the youtube side of things, and they are news bulletins that they'd be creating. Just a thought.

I think them being part of the 'Social Team' would make more sense-- it's sort of like you guys managing the Tumblr, who repost the news onto a social page, instead this person will be taking news and making them into YouTube videos.

I'd definitely take up the opportunity contributing to the kh13 youtube channel, it is what brought me here in the first place.

I have higher level editing abilities than this, And use Sony Vegas Pro 11. I just haven't really shown off what I can do in my videos :P

Thanks for the application! I'm going to wait until we get a few more applicants and then compare and make a decision, so stay tuned.

Hey Daniel!

Depending on the conditions, I could be interested! :)

I'm a huge fan of Kingdom Hearts and I do Let's Plays on YouTube. My channel has more than 2500 Subs with over 675.000 views.

I have experience with speaking to an Online Audience (considering that I do Live Commentary on my videos) and have great editing skills (I'm used to work with Sony Vegas Pro).

I also use Adobe Photoshop for all my YouTube Thumbnails (in case that's needed).

Here is one of my videos (I'll use KH HD 1.5 ReMIX Part 1 as an example):

My Commentary, starts at 00:00:57.

Also, check out the Intro & Outro (the First and Last 20 seconds of each of my videos) to take a look at some of my Sony Vegas Pro Editing Skills.

I have many other videos in my channel. Here it is, in case you want to give it a look: http://www.youtube.com/user/AirbagVII

Contact me via Private Message, in case you're interested on my work, so we can speak furthermore about conditions, etc. ;)
