Posted January 11, 201312 yr Will there be a sequel to BBS or there will be no more prequels, Square Enix are going straight into developing Kingdom Hearts 3? It's just I've been looking online and people are saying that there will be but others are saying there won be a sequel
January 11, 201312 yr At this stage the only confirmed/announced titles are: Kingdom Hearts -HD 1.5 ReMIX- Kingdom Hearts for PC Browsers The only other titles that have been all-but-confirmed by Nomura are: A HD remaster of Kingdom Hearts II (Most likely will be in the form of Kingdom Hearts -HD 2.5 ReMIX-, and will be the Final Mix version.) Kingdom Hearts III
January 11, 201312 yr BBS Volume 2 is NOT a game Nomura has said that the next game after KH3D and the HD remasters will be KH 3 (See old interviews) I might have more things to talk about for this subject later on,but I'm busy now
January 11, 201312 yr -What about Birth By Sleep Vol. 2? Nomura: There is a story that exists however producing a sequel isn’t possible at this time. (It goes on to state that the Osaka team is currently working on several projects.)
January 11, 201312 yr I don't think there will be, least not now. Far I knew Nomura was becoming aware of fans dislike and abandonment of the series since they kept making side game after side game for different consoles, that not everyone had or could afford to go out and buy just for that side game. Hence why 3D was made to bridge the gameplay and story to KH3, the remix's are being made to get us "prepared" for KH3 but I don't think another side game will be made until after KH3, by the time it comes out it will be nearly 10 years since KH2, and fans are getting bored waiting. Metros critisized recent games saying "hurry up and get on with Kingdom Hearts III" G4TV gave a similar criticism when reviewing coded saying "it's not Kingdom Hearts 3" At first it was fun but the majority (I know some people would still want side games like BBSV2, and I personally want one about Kairi and her training her KH3) have waited too long and if more side games are released the new generated interest from the remixes will be lost again (unless you're a hardcore fan).
