Ansem the Wise

Ansem the Wise (also known as DiZ) is the king and leader of the Radiant Garden, and a dedicated scientist who devoted much of his life to studying the heart with his six apprentices, performing tests on the heart of his newest apprentice Xehanort. He was the author of the “Ansem Report” collectibles which can be gathered throughout the events of Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II. Although his apprentices initially worked alongside him, they eventually started working separately from him in secret, performing inhumane experiments on the human heart without Ansem’s knowledge. When he inevitably discovered what they were up to, Ansem was outraged and demanded that they cease their experiments immediately. Shortly thereafter, Ansem’s apprentices betrayed him, banishing him to the Realm of Darkness and continuing their experiments, which inevitably led to Radiant Garden’s collapse into darkness and the creation of the apprentices’ nobodies. He will appear in Kingdom Hearts III.
