Following the additions of several older Kingdom Hearts soundtracks greeting streaming platforms, Square Enix North America has opened pre-orders for physical soundtrack reprints. In particular, four soundtrack collections are now listed: Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX, Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance, and a conjoined release of Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, and Kingdom Hearts Re:coded. Save for the Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX soundtrack, which costs $42.99, the other three soundtrack reprints cost $30.99. Additionally, they're all planned to be shipped in September 2024. The four soundtracks' store pages are listed below. The respective tracklists are also provided. Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX (Initially released on November 26, 2014) Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX (Initially released on November 26, 2014) Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep & 358/2 Days (+ Re:coded) (Initially released on February 2, 2011) Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance (Initially released on April 18, 2012) It's worth noting that the three-fold soundtrack release of Birth by Sleep, 358/2 Days, and Re:coded does not include the lattermost game's name in the title of the album itself. This titular omission is likely because only seven of the songs in the album originate from Kingdom Hearts Re:coded. Lastly, Square Enix Japan also has each physical soundtrack available for pre-order. Contrasting the Square Enix North American store's shipment estimations, these Japanese releases are planned for August 16, 2024. Each store link is listed below alongside their prices: Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX (¥3,960) Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX (5,280) Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep & 358/2 Days (+ Re:coded) (¥3,981) Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance (¥3,981) You can view each of the album covers for each of the soundtracks in our galleries below: Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep & 358/2 Days (+Re:coded) Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance Additional Note: These are all CDs, not vinyl.

Square Enix and Disney have announced that the soundtracks of Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, Kingdom Hearts Re:coded, and Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance are now streaming. This collective release is divided into two albums: Birth by Sleep, 358/2 Days, and Re: are coded in one, while Dream Drop Distance is on its own. Further, these releases are separate from the previous soundtrack launches of Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, as those only contained remixes and arrangments. These recent releases feature the original compositions instead. It's also worth noting that not every single song from each title is included; it's primarily the tracks unique to those entries and not repeats of tracks carried over from other games. The Birth by Sleep, 358/2 Days, and Re:coded album is comprised of 80 songs collectively lasting around three hours and 30 minutes, while the Dream Drop Distance soundtrack features 52 songs across three hours. Links to each supported streaming service are listed below: Spotify: Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, 358/2 Days, and Re:coded Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance YouTube: Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, 358/2 Days, & Re:coded Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance Apple Music: Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, 358/2 Days, and Re:coded Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance Amazon Music: Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, 358/2 Days, and Re:coded Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance View full article

I recently bought 'The story so far' and I'm so happy to relive all of KH's story but there's a small problem: I was going to watch 358/2 Days' cutscenes but i noticed a drop in quality compared to kh1, kh2 and bbs (I already know about the chain of memories cutscenes so i didn't include them here). The cutscenes seem somewhat pixelated or, to be more precise, the cutscenes have jagged edges meaning some lack of antialiasing. The only one that looks fantastic is the new one where there's a fight between Same goes for Re: Coded, the cutscenes look bad on my 4k tv but kh1, 2 and bbs look all fantastic. I already checked the PS4 (which is the basic one, not the pro) video settings, set my resolution to 1080p and checked the tv video settings as well. Those two 'games' are the only problem i have so far with this collection. The first 3 images are cutscenes from the game (They look even worse on my 4k tv) and the one where Roxas is sitting alone eating ice cream is one of those scenes with text (That one looks ok on my tv). Last one is just to show how good kh1 looks on the same TV.

I recently bought the Kingdom Hearts bundle "Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX" for the PS4. The reason i did, was because i previously (years back) played some of Kingdom Hearts 2, and thought it was a fun game, and would now like to try the entire series. I just completed KH1, which was an awesome game, and i'm now trying to move on within the franchise. Below i listed the way I have been told to play the games/movies (im not gonna buy a nintendo ds to play 358/2 days & Re:coded): 1) Kingdom Hearts Final Mix HD 2) Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories HD 3) Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix HD 4) Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days (movie) 5) Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix HD 6) Kingdom Hearts Re:coded (movie) 7) Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance] Is this the correct way to go about it? If so, i am VERY confused, and have a couple of questions: 1. Since i just finished KH1, i shoud start playing RE:CoM right? But i heard I would get some bonus cards in that game, if I were to watch the 358/2 days movie first, how do i go about this? 2. As much as i enjoyed KH1 (and the mechanics of KH2 as well), i really struggle to understand the new mechanics of RE:CoM, do you have any tips to play this totally different game? Kind regards, Carsten.

As someone who has 100%ed a good amount of the KH games, I feel as if everything I say in here is pretty accurate. This was also made due to a tweet that blew up.

Okay, before I begin this review, I just need to get a flame shield real quick, because this review is gonna get real heated (no pun intended). I'm about to get furious, so if you don't want to see me get enraged, click that back button. For the rest of you, enjoy the next couple of minutes.I will show no mercy. Story:Since most of the people on this site know the plot of this game, I'll summarize the vital parts. The game starts with Roxas becoming a member of the Organization as it takes place near the end of the original Kingdom Hearts. During his time there, he befriends a guy named Axel and a girl named Xion. They hang out with each other after they finish their tasks from the Organization. At some point, some internal struggle between the members starts to arise, including Xion's existence. As it turns out, Xion is a replica of Sora's memories of Kairi created by the Organization to absorb all of Roxas' power so that Sora never wakes up. Roxas, then, leaves the Organization after this revelation. Afterwards, Xion and Roxas duke it out, and Xion ultimately dies in Roxas' arms, leaving nothing behind but a seashell. Roxas, completely fuming with anger, storms the Organization's stronghold, now having the ability to dual-wield. Riku, knowing Sora would never wake up without Roxas, goes up to him to defeat him. However, the only way Riku could win the fight is if he tapped into the darkness. Roxas is defeated, but at the cost of Riku losing his original form and now taking the appearance of Ansem, Seeker of Darkness.DiZ sees the unconscious Roxas and he is taken to DiZ's lab, and sent to a virtual Twilight Town. From there on, the events of Kingdom Hearts II commence. Honestly, this game has the worst pacing out of any other game in the franchise. I'll admit it, though, the final parts of the game are top-notch, I do like Xion as a character, and Roxas isn't too bad, either. It's too bad the rest of the game's story is f***ing atrociously paced. It doesn't help that this game took me the longest to beat. Presentation:The music in this game is still as good as the other games in the series, then again, it's a given, considering this is Yoko Shimomura we're talking about. On that subject, Xion's reorchestrated theme is absolutely beautiful. The voice acting is fine, nothing really worth talking about. Gameplay: Oh God,here we go.In this game, you play as Roxas as he goes through his time at the Organization. You have "multiple" tasks, including stealth, collecting emblems, and defeating Heartless. With that said, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days has the WORST,MOST ABYSMAL, MOST INFURIATING GAMEPLAY THE SERIES HAS EVER SEEN!!! It's horrifically unbalanced difficulty-wise, the boss fights are godawful, it's boring as shit, and the combat system is one of the worst I have ever played! And don't get me started on the stealth missions! KINGDOM HEARTS SHOULD NEVER HAVE STEALTH EVER AGAIN! The stealth is basically "stay behind the guy at all times", with no thought put into it. The boss fights are bullshit. They either have hitboxes that are way too small, fly away from you, or give way too much damage, even on the easiest difficulty. The combat system is the worst in the series, IMO. It feels slow, stiff, and hard to control. Also, there's a mission mode, which lets you replay any of the missions you have completed. However, noting the unfairly high difficulty, you might want to only try it out in multiplayer. Oh yeah, there's also a multiplayer mode, in which three other players can join you in Mission Mode. I don't know how it fares, since I don't know anybody in my area who has the game. Final Verdict: Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days is the worst game in the franchise BY FAR! It has a terribly paced story, the combat system is putrid, and the boss fights are some of the worst I have ever played against. Compared to every other game in the series, EVEN RE:CODED, 358/2 Days is a borderline travesty! I know this is going on deaf ears, considering, well, this is KH13, but I cannot recommend this game at all. Honestly, even if a Kingdom Hearts game has a less than stellar story, the gameplay makes up for it and then some. Hell, KHII and BbS are some of my favorite games of all time. Days gets neither right. I may love the Kingdom Hearts series to no end, but I cannot, for the life of me, like Days. Score:3.2/10

The setting the white room in the mansion at Twilight town, the walls were covered with drawings, and sitting at one end of the long table was Naminé. She was just sitting there of the chair simply staring at her drawing pad with some coloured pencils resting beside it, her expression was filled with sadness as she just stared at the drawing that she had finished earlier. It showed three figures holding hands, each of them wearing black, one with red spiky hair, and another with blonde hair and the last one with black hair. But the figure with black hair seemed to be faded as if it was being rubbed out by a rubber, the young girl’s hands were resting on her lap as she was staring at her drawing in silence, suddenly the door opened as she looked up to see... “Riku? It’s you...” she said as Riku stood at the door wearing the black coat of the organization and his black blindfold as his expression appeared to be solemn as then walked towards Naminé “You felt it too didn’t you... She’s gone, Xion” Riku asked Naminé as he stood a few feet away from her as she looked at him and then returned her view to her drawing as she then picked up her drawing pad “Yes... Roxas defeated her, all that she was has returned into him, and the memories of Kairi that were used to create her have begun to return into Sora” she sadly summarised to Riku “Even though she’s gone... Her bonds with Roxas and Axel, and her connection to Sora allow us to still remember her, but that’s still only temporary” Naminé stated as soon they would forget Xion too “What she did... Xion did for her friend, so that Roxas could be better off... And that Sora could regain his memories, she chose to be end her existence for the ones who mattered to her” Riku told Naminé “We shouldn’t be sad that she’s gone... All our memories of Xion haven’t been erased, they’ve simple gone with her back into Sora” the teen said to Naminé who pondered what Riku said and then the faintest of smiles appeared on her face as she then looked at her drawing “She’s simply returned to Sora, as will Roxas... He’ll soon reunite with Sora, just like I’ll soon return to Kairi” Naminé stated as her smile brighten, as the drawing of Xion in the middle of Roxas and Axel had become more transparent but Naminé still smiled as she knew Xion wasn’t truly gone A few days later... Three days after Roxas’s battle with Riku back in Twilight town Axel was sitting up on top of the clock tower lonely looking on at the sunset. His expression was plain as he stared out at the scene, tightly holding a sea-salt ice cream in his hands, Xemnas had ordered Axel to find and eliminate Roxas. He was able to locate him in a digital version of Twilight town that DiZ had created, he was unsuccessful in his attempt to capture Roxas the first time. He given an dreadful ultimatum, it was either destroy Roxas his best friend, or be destroyed, there was no alternative, he didn’t know what to do. He knew that Organization would destroy him he failed again, but how could he destroy his best friend, he had been sitting here for hours contemplating on what he should do. But just then he looked beside to the spot where Roxas used to sit with him, but then his vision went to further end. “It was me, Roxas... An... And?” Axel paused as he couldn’t figure out what he had just remembered, up here on the clock tower is the place he Roxas and someone else would meet for ice cream “What am I thinking? It was just me and Roxas who were always up here... Ha, I’m one who’s always memorized everything...” the nobody told himself as he then took a bite from his ice cream “Roxas... What should I do?” Axel asked as he just looked up at the orange sky as he just sat wondering what he should do, follow his orders and hurt his best friend, of betray the organization A week or so later... Roxas was now standing before Sora who was floating in the now open memory pod, his nobody had a smile on his face but this was still a bitter sweet moment for him. His life had come to end as he now accepted his fate to return to Sora. Just before Naminé was taken by DiZ she told him that nobodies like them were half a person, they wouldn’t fade away into the darkness, but instead they would to their original selves. Roxas then started walk towards the still sleeping Sora as began to glow a faint blue aura which began to envelop and surround Roxas’s body. The closer he got to Sora, the brighter the aura around him glowed, suddenly with being inches away from the keyblade wielder Roxas’s entire body had become a blue aura which was moving towards Sora and suddenly surrounded him as the memory pod closed back up. “Sora...” Roxas’s final words as the aura surrounding Sora had been absorbed into his body reuniting Roxas with Sora as the boy eyes twitched slightly as he continued to sleep Days later... Sora, Donald, and Goofy were running through the streets in the neon city of the world that never was, thanks to Axel’s sacrifice they were able to defeat the horde of nobodies they encountered and made it to the in between world in which the organization was based. Sora was saddened by Axel’s death and was more curious about the identity of this ‘Roxas’ that he saw in the picture and who the organization members kept referring him to as turned into a another street. They were heading straight to the castle at the end of this world as it was the organization’s base. Sora and the pair were standing at the Memory’s Skyscraper, the same place in which Roxas and Riku’s battle took place weeks ago. As the keyblade warrior paused he looked around the area as then noticed the artificial Kingdom Hearts hanging in the sky above the Castle That Never Was. The pale yellow heart shaped moon was the result of the thousands of hearts that had been collected by Roxas, Sora, and Xion through the keyblade’s rage, but Sora couldn’t shake the slight feeling of déjà-vu. The setting had once again changed, it was back to Twilight town, the town appeared to be deserted, as the town was bathed by the orange sunrays, and at the top the clock tower sat Roxas, Xion, and Axel each enjoying a sea-salt ice cream with smiled on their faces as they appeared to conversing with each other. This couldn’t be possible as each of them thought in their minds as they laughed and had fun, Xion wondered how her friends could even remember her... Axel couldn’t understand why he was here as he wondered why he wasn’t simply in the darkness, and Roxas pondered why he was sitting here as he his body had merged with Sora. The three friends all wondered how this was possible but they still didn’t question it, they just continued to eat their ice cream and enjoy the time they had with each other. Although it seemed to be a strange occurrence, maybe one of them was dreaming, maybe this was an after-life for nobodies, there so many answers, but in truth the answer was simple... Sora...
