  1. So, I've been thinking it over lately. And came up with a theory. In Back Cover, we see the Master pass down his keyblade to Luxu. And, we also see him congratulating Luxu on fulfilling his role. Which in turn made the book of prophecies. Which means, the first time around the foretellers couldn't of been foretellers, because they didn't have the books. Chrirthy always says the Master bestowed 5 of his apprentices with a Copy of the book. Never the 6th. The Master tells Luxu he isn't getting a copy of the book, to avoid temporal paradoxes. There are 5 union leaders, and one disappears. Near the end the union leaders were almost ready to fight eachother because of the set up, but they didn't, they were also supposed to harbor the other 4 darknesses, but didn't. I think Luxu is actually the "original Brain". And the Brain we see is now an alternate version because the war, was averted. I think, the foretellers are the original incarnations of the union leaders from a different "wordline". Which would explain why Luxu pegs Brain, "the virus in the system" as an imposter, because he looks just like him. Luxu also states that in a word line without the foretellers, the darkness has starting spreading. My point is, I think the Master beat the system, he freed daybreak town from its sleep, but somehow enlisted the union leaders in the sleeping realm, changed their names(sound familiar) and gave them new keyblades, brought them out with him, and had them lead the unions instead, make the war happen anyway, plunging daybreak town back into sleep, but this time the darknesses would be sealed away in them, and even though he tells Luxu the remaining darknesses would be sealed within the union leaders, he knows they won't be, because he's counting on Luxu to be the "traitor", and he does it, he helps Brain with having the union leaders escape, also pretty sure he helps Strelitzia,I'm thinking she was in the white cloak, his job was to observe and not interfere, but that's a good thing, he's counting on Luxu to change the word line. So that Brain and the others live without fighting the war, and become the seeds of hope for the future, instead of having their fates as the foretellers, and it works, Ephemer becomes the new First Master and Scala ad Caelum is built. And the Master gets the ceasefire he wanted, to top it off 4 of darknesses are trapped in data Daybreak town. Without doing so, the world where Sora lives in probably never exists.
  2. Because of this, it gives me another question what would happen if we will have another game that will be based on MoM's origins? I can already imagine Nomura and his team are going to make another prequel based-game. I mean look at Dark Road and Missing Link, but hey all of this is just a theory and also my headcanon. I created an X Saga which serves as a prequel of all the stories of the Kingdom Hearts series. Here are the lists. Kingdom Hearts 0/KH0 -A boy who can wield a key-shaped sword called the Keyblade by using the X-Blade as a model, has the ability to create his own Keyblade by using people's hearts. It also talks about a story of the conflict between light and darkness. This conflict continued for an unknown period of time, in which the boy saw many of his loved ones perish from the darkness overtaking their hearts. Kingdom Hearts: Before X (Chi)/KHBX -After the boy's homeworld is destroyed, the boy crosses into a new worldline, settling in Daybreak Town. The boy would later grow into adulthood, getting used to the new place until he traveled to the different parts of the town. He met some people in that place. People that might have the potential to fight the impending Darkness that would later destroy another world. The boy trained some of the people there on how to wield and craft their own Keyblades inside their hearts to protect themselves from Darkness. The boy would later adopt a moniker called "Master". The Master saw Daybreak Town as another world that would later be destroyed into darkness but he developed a plan. He composed a book called the Book of Prophecies from events foreseen by his Gazing Eye. This allowed Darkness to peek inside the Book, but the Master intentionally remained vague in order to mislead his foe. Kingdom Hearts X/Unchained X (Chi)/KHX -The Master raised many Keyblade wielders for many years until he found six individuals that would later become his apprentices. The Master gifted them different names and gave them an important role that would later change many events, including the lives of his six apprentices. Because of the distrust of the different Unions, it will create a war that will destroy many worlds. One of his apprentices finds out about the Master's dark motive and goal to defeat the Darkness. This leads one of his apprentices to act on his own accord but still follows the role that the Master gave him. One of his apprentices created a different union and rallied Keyblade wielders that will not participate in the Keyblade War so that they will be the only ones that will keep the light safe into the future. Kingdom Hearts Union X/KHUX -A new generation of Union Leaders are trapped inside a data simulation, finding out about the secrets of the Master's plans and motives, and also the ones who are left will face an entity called Darkness. The Union Leaders realized that Daybreak Town is about to be destroyed by the Darkness so they used a pod that will transport them into another world/timeline. Some of the fates of the Union Leaders after they used the pods are unknown but some of them got successfully transported into a new world so that they can keep the light safe. Kingdom Hearts: Missing Link/KHMS -An ancient keyblade wielder that got sent into another worldline called Scala ad Caelum. A city of light and darkness, dreams and distortion, the remembered and the forgotten, and also the city created by his old friend/acquaintance. Here, another generation of Keyblade wielders lived in societies that sprawled and branched like veins through the city. Kingdom Hearts Union X: Dark Road/KHDR -Two keyblade wielders wanted to become Keyblade Masters in their own right. One walked into a path of light, but the other walked into a path of darkness. It created a rift in their story. A rift that will create a new set of history. And that's how the Dark Seeker Saga started. What do you guys think? Which game's story summary interests you? I know KH0 and KHBX are never gonna happen since they are just my ideas, but hey I actually don't mind another prequel story about MoM's origin game/movie like X Back Cover. Because we all know Nomura is going to make the story even more complicated. But wanna hear your thoughts on my headcanon summary?
  3. I finished watching the main plot of KHUX in the theater mode app as well as the full game on Youtube and the ending was mind blowing. (I never played it all the way through, a story I've told on these forums before. The gist is that I lost my level 100 save to stupidity and just when I was getting inspired to play again I find out it's gone. At least I still got to customize a character to appear in the movies.) - I'm not quite clear on Player's demise. Player appears to be possessed by one of the original 13 Darknesses but after Ephemer traps them in the tunnel to Game Central Station it's implied that the possession was a premeditated ruse. I'm inclined to believe this since Player's Chirithy doesn't change (remember as spirits connected to wielders' hearts, one will reflect when their wielder falls to Darkness) and Player does vow that they'd submit to Darkness for their friends but for what reason was this necessary? Ephemer didn't destroy the Darknesses and there were multiple others that were trapped with Player without having needed to assume forms. Even if the Darknesses did need forms to be banished Player only covered one of what was it 4? Player's death was one of the most emotional moments I have ever encountered in a video game. When Player and Chirithy spend their last moments in each other's arms I almost felt tears in my throat. - Are we supposed to get from the vague flashes that Player, WE reincarnate as Xehanort?! That WE are the villain who abused Ventus, manipulated Terra, killed Kairi and nearly destroyed Sora's world among other things? That's some insane mindfiretruckery right there. There is a certain brilliance to the concept that we essentially defeat ourselves since we play as Sora in Xehanort's main story and he's a pretty awesome villain. It tracks if we think about it. Xehanort wanted to rebuild the world so that it is born from Light rather than Darkness and ultimately exists in Twilight as he believed that Light and Darkness need to be balanced if I understand correctly. This could on a subconscious level connect to Player's experience in the Keyblade war and Young Xehanort like Player was willing to sacrifice himself to Darkness to achieve his goal (aside from Player's death they also let themselves be mentored by Hades in OC). I wish we had learned the reason Player declined to become a Dandelion but could it be because they as well believed in balance rather than Light prevailing? Player could also have helped the union leaders plus Elrena successfully time travel from the crumbling Daybreak Town because Xehanort through Player's heart could have been the one with memories of them. I figured Player had to die because it was just logical as a custom character can't reoccur, at least not in this franchise and it fits with the tons of Player names that make up the fallen wielders who help Sora in the Keyblade Graveyard in KHIII but I did not see this coming. - There appeared to be two different outcomes of Brain's escape from Daybreak Town's fall. One in which he becomes Luxu's first vessel and one in which he ends up in the quite distant future of Daybreak Town after it's resurrected and re-evolved as Scala ad Caelum where Ephemer is renowned as a historical figure (as it's founder and the first Keyblade wielder/master of the new world). Although the latter does track with Xehanort inheriting the NoName, he doesn't act like Luxu as he fondly calls Ephemer a good friend. So I'm not sure what the deal is there. - In Player's final moments we see the Chirithys of all the Dandelions that remained trapped in the data Daybreak Town transform into spirits/dream eaters as they fall asleep and Player's disappears because they chose to die and reincarnate. How then did Ventus' Chirithy end up in The Final World and what happened to the others' Chirithys? - I find it curious that Skuld's destination is the only one we didn't see. I am now on board with the popular theory that she is Lea and Isa's mysterious missing friend whom Ansam SOD experimented on. This could explain how he had the ark he sent Kairi to Destiny Islands in and learned time travel. Most of them were somehow not in their pods when they landed but isn't that because Brain called them back for Ephemer, Skuld and Player? This would explain how Ephemer was still in his which means Skuld would have been as well. FYI No Dark Road spoilers please. I know nothing of that story as it's not on the offline app right now. Is it still online?
  4. OK, after seeing what happened in the ending of KHUX, I think we have to consider a few things. 1º) There are 13 "original" Darknesses we can assume are the 13 Darknesses from the legend about the X-Blade being broken in 20 pieces (7 of Light and 13 of Darkness). They have no form and it appears they aim to increase their numbers. Now, where are them? + The 7 strongest ones appear to be locked inside the Hearts of the Master of Masters, Luxu and the 5 Foretellers (Ira, Invi, Gula, Aced and Ava). This could be the reason why Eraqus' "new game" had 7 "black pieces" with the heads of the Foretellers, Luxu and... The symbol of the Master of Masters? Anyway, this can only mean two things, either these Darknesses will end up possessing the Master and his apprentices, or mirroring what happened with Ventus and Vanitas, they will be split out of them and different individuals. In the present, Luxu (as Xigbar) has been reunited with Ira, Invi, Gula and Aced; making them 5. I suppose they will work together to bring the Master of Masters back (that's 6), which leaves us only one question, where is Ava? + The other 6 Darknesses, lesser in power and with individual will were supposed to be locked inside the new Union Leaders (Ephemer, Skuld, Strelitzia, Lauriam and Brian) and one more individual (Ventus, in theory). But this part of the plan ended up wrong, in the end. - One Darkness ended up inside Ventus, and we can assume it ended up becoming Vanitas. Now, if Vanitas was destroyed after the final battle in KH3, then that's one Darkness left. Or do you think Vanitas has survived somehow? They said Darkness can't be destroyed while doesn't have a form, but since he was put inside a Replica made by Vexen, maybe he was destroyed this time? - One Darkness guide Maleficent out of the Data World and back to her time in the scene we saw in KH2. The last time we saw this one, it would appear he was going to fight Luxu in the real world; but when the Union Leaders arrived here, there was no sign of a battle in the place. I believe, somehow, this Darkness was capable to hide itself inside of Ventus too, just like it said that was it's intention. And this second Darkness is the one that became Dark Inferno X and Sora defeated. But this wouldn't have much sense as this would mean his heart couldn't be made of pure light like several characters said after he was separated from Vanitas. But if this would be the case, what happened with it after Sora defeated the Dark Inferno X? It was destroyed, like Vanitas? - The 4 remaining Darknesses were locked inside a cable portal from Wreck-It Ralph's world, uncapable of getting out through any side, thanks to Ephemer and Player. I don't know what happened exactly to Player later, but in case they weren't able to take over Player's body, maybe all the time they spent without a form caused them to disappear in nothingness, as they said they needed a physical form. If that's the case, it means the 6 individual Darknesses have been destroyed and there's only the 7 strongest ones left, locked inside the Master of Masters, Luxu and the Five Foretellers. I have more to say, but this is already too long. I'll wait for some answers.
  5. Ok so in the khux ending we find out that the "player" gets reincarnated as xahanort and his mom or maybe eruqus's mom gives him away to what appears to be a old man in a coat my theory is that it is a xahanort whether it is ansem, young xahanort or xemnas or it could be a new character but it just seems very weird that there have been 2 people with robes that as far as we know xahanort has really no memory of well maybe ansem in dr but idk. but yeah who could that man be could it be a "darkness" or maybe luxu?.
  6. I want to address a couple of things regarding the Wreck-It Ralph world in Union χ real quick: So the Wreck-It Ralph world (Game Central Station, Niceland, Cy-Bug Sector, Sugar Rush) when it was introduced in April 2019 according to Brain, isn't a data world projection from the past or future from the Book of Prophecies nor is it a world linked to the distant future, as the story events of the world are currently happening right now in the current timeline of Union χ, but why this past? Now if the Emblem Heartless didn't existed during the time of χ/Union χ and are merely projections from the Book of Prophecies in the various data Disney worlds, how come they appeared in the Wreck-it Ralph world if that world itself didn't came directly from the Book of Prophecies? Following the world's conclusion Union χ sometime soon in 2021, what's going to become of the world in the next KH game(s) coming up and whether or not they are going to retell the events of the film again in a future game, an original storyline or just jump to Ralph Breaks the Internet instead? One possibility they could do is: The idea is far-fetched, and I highly doubt it's ever going to happen when compared to Space Paranoids/The Grid, but it's something that is worth considering Sora never encountered Ralph aside from having him as a Link summon in KH3. Am I the only one who thinks that Wreck-It Ralph should've been used in Kingdom Hearts III instead of Union χ? I mean I actually longed for the film to appear since the film came out when KH3 entered development, plus I always considered that world and film as a successor to the Tron worlds from past KH games and would've worked well as a sub-world within Twilight Town at the Old Mansion, and I feel that Dark Riku would've worked better as the antagonist for Wreck-It Ralph than Big Hero 6 especially his mentioning of "Heart out of Data" which I'm going to be honest I don't even recall the original Big Hero 6 movie talk about "Data" when compared to the Tron films (original and Legacy) and Wreck-It Ralph which seems to have more mentioning of Data than Big Hero 6. It wouldn't surprise me if Wreck-it Ralph was actually one of the worlds Nomura and his team has chosen during the development of KH3 but was scrapped very late in production when they heard that Disney was doing a sequel to Wreck-It Ralph (Ralph Breaks the Internet), which is why he ended up as a link summon in the final game, and why Wreck-It Ralph became the Union χ world.
  7. Could urd be a dependent of sigurd? They both have "urd" in there name and ik that they are both names from Greek mythology but maybe idk.
  8. Double OKP

    Goodbye, KHUX!

"'Let's meet tomorrow at Fountain Square. How about noon?' "That's what you had said, but the next day, you never showed up. So I went searching, but not until the day of the War did I ever see you again. Then, we entered the data world and met once more. But in the end... "Chirithy had once told me a friend always keeps their promise. So, we'll meet again, no matter how long, because I have an Oath to Return. And I assure you, I'm an Oathkeeper. "Don't worry. I'm just going to sleep for a bit. When I come to, let us meet with our usual words on the usual street."
  9. If you are viewing this topic, you have decided to join the Unicornis union in the North American version of Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ! Getting to know the members of your union is important because, periodically, the game will host contests between the unions for in-game rewards! The contests usually involve being in the union that collects the largest amount of Lux between its members. In this thread, feel free to introduce yourself to fellow Unicornis members and answer a few questions: What is your game ID Number/Nickname? What level are you? Why did you join the Unicornis union? Are you a member of a party? If not, would you like to join one? What is your favorite medal? Have fun, and be sure to keep the discussion to strictly the Unicornis union!

  13. Kingdom Hearts X (Chi) and SALIGIA: the Key to an Allegory By Jesus C. Deytiquez Disclaimer: The following (except those validated or founded facts in the Kingdom Hearts series) are my own speculations based with research and knowledge. And sorry for the grammatical errors if there is/are. Reincarnation Theory I know that there is a theory spreading among the fans of Kingdom Hearts like me that proposes the idea that the foretellers and their master, the Master of Masters, will die and then be reincarnated into the several characters that we are very familiar with (e.g. Sora being the reincarnation of Gula). I really cannot say that I am one hundred percent certain with the accuracy of what I will be going to show in this article, but, maybe, just maybe, my speculations will help my fellow fans to reconsider or rethink the aforementioned theory. My Story I am a writer and I like reading and writing allegories, or stories that hide deeper meanings in them through symbolism or imagery, with the goal (although somewhat paradoxical) that by masking such meanings, the meanings will be understood by the reader in a way that a normal presentation cannot do. I like the allegories of C.S. Lewis, Dante Alighieri, John Bunyan, and other Christian writers; they all utilize their character’s name and personality to present several ideas to their reader. One common thing also about them is that they always introduce to their readers the seven deadly sins, namely, pride, avarice, lust, envy, gluttony, wrath, and sloth by creating characters of their own, based on the sins with related names and suitable personalities—the seven antagonists in the anime Full Metal Alchemist will be the contemporary example of this allegorical style. And these characters representing the seven deadly sins will be the characters that the protagonist will need to encounter and overcome during his or her journey. And I, moved by the beauty of their stories and that particular style, tried to write my own. My Research, Discovery, the Seven Deadly Sins, and the Master of Masters’ Name During my attempt to create my own allegory, of course, I also done some further research to aid me in my endeavor. Ex nihilo nihil fit. From nothing comes nothing. I need to receive first before I can give. Then I discovered along the way that the seven deadly sins, when translated to Latin, will have these names: Superbia, Avaritia, Luxuria, Invidia, Gula, Ira, and Acedia (SALIGIA). By the time I discovered this, mysteriously, I also discovered that there is an android game of my all-time-favorite game, Kingdom Hearts, which is Kingdom Hearts X (Chi) or which now called as Kingdom Hearts Union Cross. (This happened way back late 2016.) I hastily installed the app, and you can imagine my surprise when I learned the name of the foretellers who were the leaders of the five unions. The five foretellers possess names from the seven deadly sins! Master Ava is avaritia. Master Invi is invidia. Master Aced is acedia, and so forth. In other words, the Master of Master’s name, which is still unrevealed last time I checked, is almost sure to be Superbia or some shortened version of that Latin word for pride. I know that it is really fitting for the Master of Masters’ name to be a name for pride because, according to the Christian faith from which the concept of the seven deadly sins originated, pride is the father or master of all remaining deadly sins. Furthermore, all other sins still have some love for others in them or they really on other persons to exist (e.g. you can get mad or be wrathful to a person because you still have, no matter how imperfect or perverted, some care or love for that person, you can envy a person because you perceive him to be better than you etc.). But pride only focuses on itself. Remember the keyblades of the foretellers. All have hearts in them except for the keyblade of the Master of Masters. In support of this, remember how the Master of Masters seemed to be apathetic to what is to befall. But, you might, of course, object that that particular keyblade will be passed on later to Luxu and then to Xehanort. Yes, it was passed on later to several persons, but such objection can be answered easily through analysis of the personalities of the successors and the sins themselves. Lust can easily become more like its father when it is, ultimately, already about satisfying the pleasure of the self alone. And, remember also how Xehanort used Terra and his friends for his own “selfish” reason. The Seven Lights or Virtues Now we will return to the reincarnation theory. I think that if there are seven deadly sins or vices, then there will be also seven virtues that the Christian faith also enumerated, namely, Humility or Humilitas, Charity or Caritas, Chastity or Castitas, Kindness or Humanitas, Temperance or Temperantia, Patience or Patientia, and Diligence or Industria. I believe that these virtues, being contrary to them, are what the foretellers lacked or even repelled respectively, and such lacking and repulsion of those virtues became the reason for their own downfall (I can still remember a clip showing Ira lacking patience during the crisis, being wrath). Sora, Kairi, Riku, Ventus, Aqua, and Terra are the six of those seven virtues or guardians of the light while King Mickey will be the leader. And you can see, dear reader, how very suitable it is for King Mickey to be Humilitas because a mouse is commonly seen as lowly or humble. In other words, the two leaders of warring factions are King Mickey and Superbia. Humility and Pride. Thirteen Seekers of Darkness and Twelve Seekers of Light But of course there are also a dark group called the Thirteen Seekers of Darkness, and currently such group only has six members namely Master Xehanort, Young Xehanort, Terra-Xehanort (heartless), Terra-Xehanort (nobody), Xigbar, and Saïx. How can such a group be completed? One very probable answer is: by adding the fallen seven deadly sins or foretellers. Thus, maybe, just maybe, the foretellers did not really die and got reincarnated to become our seven guardians of the light just as what the reincarnation theory says, but only became fallens and just wandered somewhere and somehow, only to be gathered by the liar and schemer, Superbia to join his student (probably), Xehanort, for a later battle against the denizens of the light. If the aforementioned is true, then the seven guardians of the lights are clearly outnumbered. But let us also remember that thirteen, which is considered as an evil number, also have a positive counterpart: number twelve. Remember that in the Judeo-Christian tradition, the number twelve, along with one, three, five, and seven, is a number for perfection. Furthermore, the Catholic tradition listed twelve fruits of the Holy Spirit: Charity, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Generosity, Gentleness, Faithfulness, Modesty, Self-Control, and Chastity. Christ, on the other hand, enumerated thirteen things on Mark 7:21-22 that defile and arise in the heart: wicked thoughts; acts of immorality, of theft, of murder, of adultery, of greed, of maliciousness, deceit, immoderate conduct, an Evil Eye (remember the eye in the keyblade of the Master of Master’s?), blasphemy, arrogance, and lack of good sense.1 Therefore, there must really be twelve seekers of light! Now, aside from Master Yen Sid, Lea is an additional keyblade wielder in the series, and there is also an official video showing Xion and Roxas joining the fight with Sora and his pals. If they really are the additional four seekers, then there are already eleven seekers of light. I wonder who will complete the group? Maybe one or several of the characters in KHUX will be the one(s) to complete the missing spot/s or replace any or even all of the probable four: Ephemer, Strelitzia, Skuld, our character in KHUX, Blaine (though very unlikely and suspicious), and Lauriam (also very unlikely and suspicious). Though still outnumbered by one it is better than only seven, and let us recall also that in the Christian faith, it is the disadvantaged or the weak or the poor that emerges at the end. In Short… Here are the two theories I harbor for the mystery introduced by the age of the foretellers and the Master of Master’s: Superbia or the Master of Masters is the ultimate villain and Invi was the traitor. What is Invi’s mask? A snake. We all know that in Judeo-Christian faith, it is out of envy that Cain betrayed and killed his brother, Abel. Does this mean Invi, a snake, is the one who betrayed them? It is kind of obvious. But the again, is there really any traitor? As what I have said earlier, the devil (known as the father of all lies and as pride which is the father of all sins) is symbolized in Kingdom Hearts, in my own opinion, as the Master of Masters. He might just have lied to all in order for them to kill one another to try to form Kingdom Hearts or the X-blade at the expense of their souls or hearts. He might have just instructed Ava to save some special keyblade wielders or dandelions in order for them to be his backup guinea pigs in case the keyblade war failed to bring his selfish desire fruition; of course, erasing their memories, as what he ordered to Ava, will be very helpful and safe for his plan if ever. (Remember the connection of Ventus as a Dandelion in KHUX and as a boy with no memories in Birth by Sleep.) Kingdom Hearts as a Christian Allegory Now, as an extra, let us ponder on this question: is Kingdom Hearts a Christian allegory? Before I say my opinion about the key or the main theme of Kingdom Hearts series, I would like to warn the reader that if he or she does not like religious matters or hate them, especially those concerning Christianity, he or she is free to read some other article. Now, for those who still willed to accompany me up until the end, I will say that, in my own opinion, Kingdom Hearts’ theme, the very key that connects all worlds in it, is ultimately, very Christian. Of course, the stained glasses are very much related to Christianity, but these particular beauty in the game are only one part (that started it all) of the many things that convinced me to believe and propose such opinion. Consider one of the most crucial points in Kingdom Hearts: Sora’s sacrifice. Like Christ, he sacrificed his life for his beloved. He, in a sense died, in order for Kairi to live. Sora is a Christ-like figure in the Kingdom Hearts. He is the one to mend all the hurting. And since we talked about Sora’s sacrifice and remembered how he became a heartless and a nobody, we might as well talk about the keyblade, the heartless and the nobodies. There are three forces in the world of Kingdom Hearts: the keyblade, the heartless, and the nobodies (as what Roxas drawing shown us in KHII). I believe that the keyblade symbolizes the goodness of God; the heartless symbolizes the people who were consumed by the sin in their hearts; the nobodies are those who are in between or those who are in a state very akin with being in limbo. Of course the people in Kingdom Heart’s world will also symbolize normal human beings like us, and we can all chose which side we will be: the keyblade’s or in God’s side where we will experience everlasting joy in the end, or the forever darkness or hell or eternal suffering because of unappeasable or unquenchable hunger or thirst caused by the hole in one’s chest, or in limbo where we will be in a state of not really suffering nor joyful. In the end it is the keyblade or the goodness or grace of God that will save us from both of the latter and undesirable ends. In support of the aforementioned, normal people like wielders in the Kingdom Hearts world can feel all kind of emotions, the heartless only the unappeasable hunger or thirst to fill the hole in their chest, and the nobodies does not really feel anything. (Special and good nobodies like Roxas might be considered as those who are in purgatory, or a place in hell where souls suffer for a while to become cleansed and later on be in heaven or become “truly real”.) Consider the possessors of the keyblade with no heart: the Master of Masters, Luxu, and Xehanort. They symbolize the demonic side. Aside from the facts or premises already stated earlier, consider this: the sign of the devil looks like what? A goat’s head. What animal did Christ use as a symbol for those who rejected Him until the end? Goat. What animal design does that particular keyblade that the Master of Masters, Luxu, and Xehanort possess/ed? A goat’s head. Since we are on the subject, I think the masks or animal representations of the foretellers are also very fitting for them. A bear hibernates thus can be considered as lazy. A unicorn, as described in mythologies, have a short-temper and can fly into a very bloodthirsty rage, and thus can be considered wrathful. A fox is considered as cunning. A snake, a traitor. A jaguar, a hasty and deadly animal. Trinity is also always being subtly emphasized in KH. Sora, Kairi, and Riku. Ventus, Aqua, and Terra. Roxas, Xion, and Axel. Hayner, Pence, and Olette. The keyblade, heartless, and nobodies. Mickey, Donald, and Goofy—speaking of Mickey, Mickey Mouse’s head is (this one added as a kind of a joke) composed of three circles. The wielder, the keyblade, and the spirit. The wielder can be seen as the Father. The keyblade can be seen as the instrument for salvation or the Son. The Chirity is the guide or the Holy Spirit. Chi is for cross right? Which can mean Christian. Chirity sounds like a mix of the words Chi, trinity and spirit, right? So, the introduction of the Chirity might be pointing to us the symbolism of the Holy Trinity which is the very cornerstone of Christianity, through the interconnection of the wielder, the keyblade, and the spirit. Of course, the Master of Masters may have also lied that he was the one who created them (the chirities). And of course there is the reverse side too. There are the corrupt wielders, the keyblades of darkness, and the nightmare chirities. There is the devil, evil persons or his angels, and the spirit of the antichrist. The devil, as what many saints describe him, likes to turn good and beautiful things into evil and ugly things. For an example look at the reversed cross. The true cross is where the justice and mercy of God kissed, for the salvation of humankind, and the original reversed cross is a sign of St. Peter’s martyrdom and love for Christ. Yet look at the symbol of the antichrist: a reversed cross. And also look at the hour of Christ’s death or the hour of divine mercy which is considered as three in the afternoon, then remember what is always considered to be the most ungodly hour or the devil’s hour (as popularized by the enemy’s agenda I am sure of it): three in the morning. And there is also the black coat that characters use to safely pass through the corridor of darkness and resist its corruption. Veteran readers of Christian mysticism and theology will be quickly triggered by the mention of these two—especially those who read St. John of the Cross, St. Thérèse of Lisieux, and St. Teresa of Calcutta; they all have written about that dark night of the soul where there is a darkness that will engulf the soul and enable her (the soul) to pass through a path, unnoticed, and finally meet her Beloved, who is God. The corridor of darkness might be a symbol for a path of suffering or spiritual dryness that the saints usually goes through, and the black coat is the night that will embrace the saint’s soul in order for her to be safely united with the Beloved. But in the end, there is also a hint of Manichaeism or Dualism in KH; Riku’s statement in KH II that light and darkness are eternal pretty much sums up those two beliefs. But of course, maybe he was just fooled by the earlier speech of Xehanort (nobody). But whether KH really endorse the aforementioned two or not, it will not change the fact that the good must be prior to evil and the two are not coeternal with one another; evil is just a perversion the good just as a spoiled food is an edible meal before as what C.S. Lewis once said.2 It is the desire to be powerful and own exclusively the light that made the Master of Masters be like who he is (Xehanort too!). It is because of the desire to be equal to God that Lucifer became a fallen angel. The foolish gods and goddesses of the myth that fought for the possession of the apple of self did not know that it is by sharing that a soul or two is blessed.3 Again it is pride or selfishness that introduced darkness into KH’s world and ours. It is only by Humility or love that the light will return much brighter than before. Ending Remarks There are many other premises and theories that I can include but this article of mine is already too long. Perhaps I will enumerate them in a future article. I am currently busy so I guess I will write that one in a distant future. Let’s meet again somewhere, sometime, and somehow! _________ 1. Elliot, J. (2016). Beware the Evil Eye (Vol. 3).
