Xenoblade 2 (Or Xenoblade Chronicles 2) has just been confirmed for release on the Nintendo Switch. It looks to be a direct sequel to Xenoblade on the Wii, taking a departure from the sci-fi setting of Xenoblade X to return to the original game's fantasy world. Soraya Saga, the wife of the game's director and employee at Monolith Soft, has stated that the game is to be released some time in 2017. There aren't many more details on the game, but as with Xenoblade X, I'll keep this thread updated on the most recent news about the game! Is anyone else looking forward to Monolith Soft's next game?

Yeah, I know that this game was announced a long time ago. I just felt like an active discussion thread for it would be cool to have, and we can update this thread with news whenever any is released. For those who don't know, Xenoblade Chronicles X is an RPG coming to the Wii U at some point next year. It's a sequel to Xenoblade Chronicles on the Wii, but it doesn't seem to be related to the original game, outside of a species known as the Nopons making an appearance in both. From what we've seen, this one will add mech combat, and allows players to make their own custom characters. Adding all of this on top of what the original game had to offer really makes this feel like it has the potential to be the best JRPG of the current generation. Anyone else excited for the game?

Is there a point to them or are they meant to be sold? I just want to make sure before I sell them off.

I decided I might as well make a thread for discussing this game and reporting on news, since I get a feeling we'll be getting a lot of that soon. For those who don't know, Xenoblade Chronicles 3D is the first game to be exclusive to Nintendo's New 3DS, and as anyone who's played the Wii version can confirm, will be a game that really needs the hardware boost the new iteration is receiving. It's a port/remake of Xenoblade Chronicles (Or simply Xenoblade in Japan) for the Wii, with a couple new features added. Speaking of those new features, it's been confirmed that the game will be compatible with the Shulk amiibo! Using the Shulk amiibo with Xenoblade Chronicles 3D will give the player tokens that can be spent to unlock new character models and music tracks in the model viewer and music player features (Both of which are new to the New 3DS version). These tokens can also be unlocked through Streetpass for those who don't have the Shulk amiibo, which explains the Streetpass feature mentioned shortly after the game's North American and European announcement. The game has also received an official North American release date of April 10, while Europe has already had a release date set for April 2.
