  1. A Tekken game but with Disney characters, stages and remixes from classic Disney films, like Pokken Tournament, what do you think lol :]?
  2. "...Heihachi Mishima...is now dead...truly...and utterly... With the world reeling in from his death, his son, Kazuya Mishima, has now seized control of both G Corporation AND the Mishima Zaibatsu, now holding two of the world's most influential powers if not THE very most, Kazuya has merged the two companies into one, dubbing them "The G Zaibatsu", now with the G Zaibatsu's powerful and ever spreading influence across the entire world itself, Kazuya has declared himself, as the world's supreme ruler with rival nor equal, however...curious to see those that would stand up to him and wanting to weed out the rebellious seeds that would oppose the G Zaibatsu, Kazuya announces the King of Iron Fist Tournament 8, hoping to end any and all opposition both once...and for all time...sensing his own son, Jin Kazama both still alive and intact, Kazuya intends to take the Devil Gene from Jin to power his own Devil Gene and with it, make Kazuya himself an almighty and unstoppable force to be reckoned with... Jin, now intending to end the cursed Mishima Bloodline forever, steps up to the plate and enters the King of Iron Fist Tournament 8, all the while knowing that people will be especially gunning for him, due to his past actions, knowing that he may very well never receive Redemption for his past actions...nevertheless, Jin charges forward, intending to make at least one last act of repentance by taking the life of his father...and, Jin's very own life, aided by both his half uncle Lars Alexandersson and those that still believe in Jin, especially the one who yearns for Jin's love, Ling Xiaoyu, Jin makes his final move against his archenemy, his father Kazuya and his G Zaibatsu and prepares for one final bout that will decide the fate of the entire world... This is the final story, of the clan known, as the Mishimas... " Prologue: A Dead Fist: (What does everyone think of the premise?). Character Roster: 1-Jin Kazama-A young man fueled by tragedy and power, he discards all forms of relationships in the hopes that he will end the cursed Bloodline of the Mishima clan, the family he belongs to on his father's side, knowing that practically everyone he has made an enemy out of will be gunning for his head during the upcoming King of Iron Fist Tournament 8, Jin nevertheless perseveres...intending to accomplish his primary objective to no matter what end, the elimination of the Mishimas by killing his very own father Kazuya...and Jin himself. 2-Ling Xiaoyu-a young woman who despite the opinions of everyone else, the whole world itself still believes in the good that exists within Jin's heart, although the time may have passed where the two could have been in a future together with one another, Xiaoyu nevertheless aids Jin in his quest to overthrow his father Kazuya and crush the G Zaibatsu both once and for all, Xiaoyu can only hope that a good end will come from all this and that no more tragedy will have to occur for everyone involved. 3-Lars Alexandersson-Jin's half uncle and Kazuya's half brother, Lars leads a resistance group against the tyranny of the G Zaibatsu and although both he and Jin have clashed once on opposite sides, they now stand together side by side, hoping to bring down Kazuya and stop his evil madness from engulfing the entire world, Lars acts, as a mentor towards his half nephew, hoping and trying to make him realize the powers of bonds, camaraderie, friendship and love, although he at times butts heads with Jin, Lars nevertheless respects the charisma that Jin provides in his very own way with Jin without showing it respecting his half uncle in return also. 4-Alisa Bosconovitch-Lars' best friend and partner, as well, as Xiaoyu's best friend, in the past, Alisa was made by her creator and father, Doctor Bosconovitch and was made to serve, as the bodyguard of Jin during the time when he was reigning, as the leader of the Mishima Zaibatsu, now no longer held by such programming, Alisa is now free to choose her very own path and destiny, during her time together with Lars, she has started to feel something within her that she never thought she would ever have the experience of feeling, love, it appears her time with Lars has affected her to a point that Alisa deeply cares for Lars and wishes to protect him no matter what the cost, she confides in Xiaoyu about how she should go about her feelings since Alisa is a robot and wonders if a robot can fall in love with a human and vice versa, Xiaoyu doesn't necessarily have the best opinion for Alisa to follow and instead encourages her to just trust in her own feelings and do what she feels is right, taking Xiaoyu's words to heart so to speak, Alisa begins her journey of discovery into what the world known, as love is truly like. 5-Hwoarang-Jin's self proclaimed rival who enters the King of Iron Fist Tournament 8 in order to settle things with Jin both once and for all, not intending to forgive Jin's past actions, as the head of the Mishima Zaibatsu, Hwoarang declares that he will show Jin just who is the stronger man in terms of both strength and will, meaning that Hwoarang wants to show Jin what it truly means to be in a seat of power and especially when having said power what to do with it, despite all that the two have gone through over the years, Hwoarang, in a sense, considers Jin to be his very best friend and that he intends to not let Jin go down a hellish path alone and that Hwoarang will accompany Jin on that path, even if it means appearing, as a obstacle towards him. 6 and 7-Nina and Anna Williams-The Williams sisters have always been rivals but now they find themselves working under the same roof for the same man, Kazuya, ever since he merged the Mishima Zaibatsu with G Corporation into the G Zaibatsu, although deciding to work together, the two sisters nevertheless still disagree with one another and at times they can be found still fight with each other, even when on the job that requires them to work together, this has been found to be bad morale for their troops which Lars thinks of, as an advantage for both him and the others that oppose the G Zaibatsu to strike back, however, despite their constant bickering, the Williams sisters are not about to let themselves look bad in front of their troops and thus, intend to work together despite hating so in order to put down the Rebellious rats that would oppose the G Zaibatsu both once and for all. 8-Yoshimitsu-A samurai with cybernetic victory. 9-Paul Phoenix-A karate master who joins the King of Iron Fist Tournament 8 in order to settle his self proclaimed rivalry with Kazuya since the golden days of the Tournament when Heihachi first orchestrated it, Paul is not allied with Lars' Rebellion and instead acts on his own agenda, attempting to beat down Kazuya for what Paul believes Kazuya is doing wrong to the world, although Paul was all about it for the money during the previous Tournaments, this time, he finds himself feeling the need for a sense of justice and is determined to bring down Kazuya no matter what, even if that means others standing in Paul's way get taken down. 10-Asuka Kazama-A relative of Jin's who does not trust him whatsoever, especially after his previous actions back in the past, Asuka proclaims that she is entering the King of Iron Fist Tournament 8 in order to keep an eye on Jin in case he betrays someone, putting Asuka at odds with Xiaoyu who defends Jin, Asuka believes that she is seeing things with reason whilst Xiaoyu is merely blinded by love and refuses to accept the fact that Jin cannot be trusted, even if he truly is trying to do the right thing, wanting to help the world whatever way she can, Asuka joins Lars' Rebellion in the hopes that she can stop Kazuya all by herself, seeing the man, as a disgrace to the Kazama family name, since he married Jun Kazama, Jin's mother. 11-Lili de Rochefort-Lili is a strong minded young woman with exceptional skills to boot, aided by her butler Sebastian in the past, she used to frequently rival with Asuka Kazama but now that has been put on hold, as she finds herself in a dilemma, her tycoon father's business is being bought out and merged into the G Zaibatsu by Kazuya Mishima who seeks to spread his influence further across the world, at first, Lili tried the direct approach and confront Kazuya personally but upon learning that he has both her father and Sebastian, as prisoners to keep Lili in line, she has been forced to serve under Kazuya, as one of his executives, dishing out punishment to those that would dare cross him, Lili now finds herself fighting against Asuka once more but not for the pleasure of fighting, instead, they now fight...to the death, as Lili fights against Lars' Rebellion whilst working for Kazuya, she secretly plots alongside others to overthrow Kazuya when he is most vulnerable, meaning during the time of the King of Iron Fist Tournament 8, where Kazuya's attention will be solely focused on crushing the ants that he deems worthless and not good enough to ever be in his league whatsoever, Lili intends to get the last laugh in the end, no matter what. 12-King-A pro wrestler and champion, King enters the King of Iron Fist Tournament 8 alongside his good friend and wrestling 3. Oh boy, another review! It's been so long since I've had the drive to do one of these. Well, except Donkey Kong Country of course because I obviously meant every word of that. For realsies. Anyways: I'm a huge fan of Tekken, if I haven't made that clear before, and I'm all abuzz with anticipation now that Tekken 7 is coming out soon. Still working on getting that PS4 though. Because of that, I went back across Tekken content gone past and I decided to check out this little gem right here. I hadn't seen it beforehand and had only heard about it in passing and saw images of it online, so I was fairly optimistic... boy, was that wasted effort. Much like this movie as well. I honestly don't know what I was thinking at the time. Much like other video game series, adapting Tekken from the consoles to the big screen has always resulted in mixed results. A total of four films have been released, and I had already seen two others beforehand, the first being the 2009 live action film and the 2011 "Blood Vengeance" tie-in to the second Tag game, and both were pretty much stinkers too (although the latter is still probably the best of the bunch by not by much). The only film that I haven't seen being the sequel to that live action one, but uh, not breaking my neck over seeing that. Back to this film: this was released in 1997 right before the release of Tekken 3 in order to promote the game, and possibly to cash in the success of the Street Fighter II movie released earlier under the simple name "TEKKEN" (later "Tekken: The Motion Picture for its English dub release by ADV and spoiler warning, the dub is cheesy and lame so I'm not going to go into detail about it. Imagine that, a 90s anime english dub being bad, what are the odds). It adapts the main story of the first game, but also shoves in a bunch of elements from the second game haphazardly. For those who don't know, the basic story of the first Tekken game centers around the King of Iron Fist Tournament sponsored by the Mishima Zaibatsu where fighters compete in matches for a chance to defeat the Zaibatsu's leader Heihachi Mishima and earn a large sum of prize money. One of these fighters is Heihachi's son Kazuya who aims to take revenge on Heihachi for throwing him off a cliff at the age of give in order to test his strength. Sounds like it has potential to be a kickass thrill ride, right? Well sorry, but you get this instead. Okay, without further ado: FIGHT!
  4. So after all of this time I've finally decided to take a look at what Pokkén Torunament actually was, and surprisingly, is a Pokémon based Tekken. Now, here's my question, what's all this hype about? I like Pokémon quite a lot, I've played most of the games, so that doesn't leave me out as a "Pokémon fan". This isn't trying to be offensive at all, it's pure curiosity, why do you want to play this game? Sure, it'll be fun, but it just doesn't look like Pokémon anymore, they've just settled a different route, having games like a Candy Crush Pokémon (Pokémon Rush). To be honest, I would play Tekken or Mortal Kombat before Pokkén Tournament, I want to see what's different, why are some of you interested in this title so much! Thanks for the response in advance!
  5. This is a bigger sprite of Jin Kazama than the one I put years ago, & I think it's better looking, too. I found this on google images, & before I recolored it, the flame was white, the dougi-obi (name for the karate belt) was originally black with white lining, & his hair was brown. Now the flame is orange, the belt is teal with gold lining, & his hair is black. In other words, it originally looked like the movie color scheme where he was portrayed by Jon Foo, now changed to the Tekken 6/Tekken 6 Bloodline rebellion/Tekken Tag Tournament 2 color scheme. I do not own this sprite or the character, all rights go to Katsuhiro Harada & possibly deviantart.com.

  6. I should make more Tekken threads in the future. Anyways: over the weekend, there was a reveal for the upcoming Tekken 7 in the form of a new character: Lucky Chloe. Before I go into detail, take a look at Lucky Chloe for yourself: So yeah. She's your typical genki girl, J-pop star teen idol whatsamajigger with big headphones and in a kitty costume with paws and stuff. Long story short: people, mostly Western fans, raged. And Katsuhiro Harada actually responded to some of it too. Check out this article for the full story: http://www.polygon.com/2014/12/9/7359735/tekken-7-lucky-chloe-reaction-harada Now, I'll be honest here: this is probably the most embarrassing display of fan backlash I've ever seen. I literally cannot fathom why idiots like these have to get salty over this type of thing. I've been a fan of Tekken since I played Tekken 3 way back when (which was also the first game I ever played too), and I have enough experience with the series to say that this type of thing, honestly, isn't that big a deal at all. If you're not in the know, Tekken is a series that has incorporated a lot of weird, ridiculous, and sometimes even funny characters into its rosters, such as dancing bears, boxing kangaroos and raptors, cyborgs, robots, angels, demons, and even vampires. So seeing this genki girl archetype joining the fray is pretty damn tame in comparison. Even so, the fact is that not counting on ridiculous new characters to join a Tekken is like asking a new Street Fighter game to not have more than two or three versions of it. Also, I admire the way that Katsuhiro Harada handled the situation, because frankly, the man deserves as much admiration as he can get overall. He does a damn good job at what he does and he doesn't take shit from ignorant people. He's also a cool enough guy to joke around every once in a while and he doesn't try to bullshit other people either; he tells it like it is. Bottom line: If you don't like Lucky Chloe, than don't play as her. Play with all the other damn characters in the game because there's obviously going to be more, maybe even a couple more new ones too. I'm not gonna lie either, I'll give her a try too. I generally like to try to play as all the characters in a fighting game, not really competitively but just for fun. Anyways, that's my two cents on the matter, what do you think?
