Hey there everyone, how's it going!? So then, as you are all undoubtedly aware of, we'll be getting Kingdom Hearts Unchained X this Thursday, which is an insanely awesome surprise, and a very welcome one at that! With Unchained X to finally be in our possession, we'll finally have a new KH game to distract us while 2.8 nears release! And well, on the subject of 2.8, something that Nomura said in the interview following the announcement of Unchained X's NA release intrigued me! For those of you who don't know, he mentioned that Back Cover's cinematic story will last for approximately an hour! You'll all probably ask why this is intriguing, correct? Well, take into account what he just said regarding Back Cover, and then take into account that Birth By Sleep 0.2: A Fragmentary Passage will be the length of a Disney world in the KH series, and the result is that 2.8 may not be too far off from us! Like, I could see a late October or early November release! Obviously, I don't think Nomura would intend for 2.8 to come out just before or just after Final Fantasy XV releases, for Square will want that game to sell like hot cakes! But back to the point though, for those of you who are doubting if the game will come out this year or not, I'm fairly positive we'll get the game either in late October or early November! Why is this, you ask? Well, the only big game that'd actually take some work to polish out is Dream Drop Distance, the obvious reason being that it's a full length KH game! And even so, the game's probably being polished graphically, and the gameplay mechanics are probably being revised and revamped to fit a PS4 controller! In other words, what I'm saying is that Nomura and his team's work would mostly got to KH3D, since that's the only full length game in 2.8! Since Back Cover is just voiceover work, I'm pretty sure that's one of the first things that was worked on in 2.8! At this stage in development, it could be safe to assume the English dubbing might be going underway at this same moment, or perhaps after E3! Because we could get an English trailer for 2.8 at this year's E3, most likely! And well, like I mentioned, 0.2 will only be the length of one world, so the only thing that would be worked on here are the gameplay mechanics and balancing and graphics and whatnot! Obviously, developing a game, even if some of its aspects are small, isn't easy, but taking into account with what we've been told about the game, I'm confident that it'll come out this year everywhere, and not just in Japan, only for us to receive it next year! So yeah, a late October or early November release sounds just about likely! Unless, of course, Nomura would drop the bomb at E3 and say the game would come out three short days later, a la Unchained X! Lol, but then again, that probably wouldn't happen! But hey, who knows? X3 But anyways, I wanted to empty all that out of my mind before I forgot to post it! So what do you all think?

WAIT TIME BETWEEN RELEASE PERIOD IN SIGHT ANNOUNCED AND ANNOUNCEMENT OF RELEASE DATE: FOUR MONTHS. WAIT TIME BETWEEN RELEASE DATE CONFIRMATION WITH ACTUAL RELEASE DATE: THREE MONTHS. *FUN FACT: NOMURA HAS SAID KINGDOM HEARTS II WAS ANNOUNCED ‘TOO EARLY’. NOVEMBER 2015 IS FIVE MONTHS AFTER THIS. IF WE GET THE RELEASE DATE THIS NOVEMBER, OUR WAIT TIME COULD BE AROUND THREE TO FOUR MONTHS FROM THEN, WHICH MAKES FOR A FEBRUARY MARCH 2016 RELEASE DATE. Hey there everyone, how's it going!? Yes, I know what you're thinking: "Oi, yet another release date thread!" Lol, yeah, but guys, just hear me out, or, to be more precise, hear TheGamer'sJoint out! He has an interesting theory on the release date of the game! The calendar may have been in the trailer for the sake of being there. But then again, the calendar could be indicative of the game's release! Winter 2016 really seems like a big possibility! :')

Hey there everyone, how's it going? Well then, as we all clearly know, we are desperately hyped for Kingdom Hearts III, and the obvious question in our minds is when the game will release? While some people say that it'll be next year and others say it'll be in 2016, I think that Kingdom Hearts III will end up coming to us in 2017. Here I shall explain my reasons. (If I made a topic out of this before, then I apologize, but I don't remember making a topic about this, I just remember posting in other topics relating to the release date of the game.) Now then, here I shall state my three reasons as to why I think the game will come out in 2017: Reason Number One: Now then, as we all know, we've been waiting for Kingdom Hearts III ever since we finished Kingdom Hearts II back in 2006, so that's a total of 8 years, but remember that we were waiting for a third game, but the game in and of itself wasn't announced way back then like Final Fantasy Versus XIII was. (Now known as Final Fantasy XV.) The game was officially announced last year, so in truth, we've only been waiting a year for this game, because now is when we officially know of its existence. I mean sure, we all speculated that a III would eventually arrive, and heck, I thought Birth By Sleep was Kingdom Hearts III at one point, but that wasn't the case, as it was revealed to be a prequel to the series. And well, 8 years since 2006, we've gotten all these amazing games that connect with the main story, and we've got the ReMixes, which are basically our hype devices for Kingdom Hearts III! Reason Number Two: I personally think that the game will take a four year development cycle. Think about it. The gap between Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II is by four years. (2002-2006) For this reason, I believe that Kingdom Hearts III will come out in 2017, since it was announced last year. (Hence the development cycle would be from 2013-2017.) And when it comes to it, it makes sense, since Kingdom Hearts III is undoubtedly one of the many projects Nomura's involved in that will keep him busy until 2019. With that in mind, I think this is what will happen. We'll get a decent amount of news next year, a lot more news and advertisements in 2016, and 2017 will basically be the year when Square goes all out in blowing our hype meters to the limit. Reason Number Three: If all of you stop and think, take into account that 2017 will be the 15th Anniversary of the Kingdom Hearts series, and what better way to commemorate 15 years of this amazing franchise than releasing Kingdom Hearts III? This final reason, I believe, is my most concrete of the reasons listed here, and well, I strongly think that Kingdom Hearts III will come out in 2017. But Nomura said that we'd get one Kingdom Hearts game a year, so what will Square Enix release in the meantime, you ask? Well, that's simple. Next year we're most probably going to get a Remaster of some sort, be it of the whole game or just the cutscenes of Dream Drop Distance, and I'm guessing that Nomura would try to incorporate something concerning Kingdom Hearts X in 2016 that will allow more fans to experience it, or something like that. So yeah, that's my theory of Kingdom Hearts III's release date. I'm one of the people who thinks that Square should take their time making this game. I want to play a masterpiece, not a rushed product, so please Square, make sure to release the game in 2017 and not a year later! So then, what do you all think? Does my theory make sense? I realize there may be some flaws in my theory, but hell, that's why I posted it here, so that we can all debate on the release date! So then, debate away!
