  1. Do you think we might see other Pixar villains/antagonists in possible future games in the Kingdom Hearts series, besides only just Randall from Monstropolis in Kingdom Hearts III? Well that's the question, Pixar has had several different villains/antagonists from their 23 films so far, but it will depend on Square Enix and especially the crew/team at Pixar on what role the antagonists from the Pixar films will play in the original story exclusive to KH, and whether or not that specific Pixar antagonist would fit within the original story or simply not add them in at all. When compared to the Disney villains (e.g. Maleficent, Pete, Hades, Jafar, Oogie Boogie, Ursula, Scar, etc.) and the original Kingdom Hearts villains (e.g. Xehanort, Ansem Seeker of Darkness, Xemnas, Vanitas, Braig/Xigbar/Luxu, Organization XIII), the Pixar Villains aren't really threatening and they don't pose the same level of malevolence as other villains they can utilize. On top of that, Pixar isn't known for their villains in the first place, as the main conflict in each film is the protagonist's internal/external struggles they face in the film (e.g. Woody's jealousy of Buzz Lightyear in the first Toy Story, Marlin's external struggles on finding his son Nemo, Joy's intrapersonal conflict on not allowing Sadness to touch the Memory orbs, Merida wanting to be independent, etc.) with the antagonists only serving as a foil (e.g. Chef Skinner) or an obstacle (e.g. Terry) to the protagonist. Of course, Pixar does have its well-known villains such as Sid, Hopper, Stinky Pete, Randall, Syndrome, Lotso, and recently Ernesto de la Cruz, but at the end of the day, it really doesn't matter in that front for inclusions or not, I know people really wanted Zurg for Toy Box, but sadly he wasn't represented because he's just a minor character in Toy Story 2. In Randall's case for Monstropolis in Kingdom Hearts III, he was just brought back by Vanitas as a "pawn" so he can collect Negative emotions (Screams) for the Unversed and for Vanitas. Plus, he was just "there" to be kind of antagonizing the situation to Sora and the gang, which would likely explain Pixar being very restrictive on Monstropolis and why we never got to fight Randall as a boss (let alone a mid-boss) in Kingdom Hearts III, which I'm not surprised so I don't blame Pixar's decision on not allowing us to battle him as a boss when compared to Nomura and his team's decision on not making CLU and Gaston bosses in Dream Drop Distance and X respectively. Regarding Ernesto De la Cruz for a potential Coco world, depending if Nomura and his team would retell the events of the movie or have it be an original story (a sequel or a prequel to the film) at Pixar's request, if they have the plot of the world be a prequel to the film it wouldn't make sense for Sora, Riku and/or Kairi (whoever is going to visit the world) to encounter him and know about his true nature that he murdered Héctor and stole his music and songs (cause that goes to Miguel who figures it out himself once he finds out about Ernesto's true nature in the Land of the Dead in the original movie) or literally have him go the same route like what Randall went to in Kingdom Hearts III where he's just antagonizing the situation, although to be honest, I feel Ernesto wouldn't be much of a boss as he literally isn't much of a fighter when compared to Randall. I think the likely route for Ernesto is have the Coco world be a prequel to the film and have him be just indirectly mentioned, or have a small cameo in one to two scenes in the world, cause he does a Sunrise Spectacular at the end of Dia de Los Muertos, but only to have his concert be briefly interrupted by a Giant Nightmare Dream Eater or a Heartless. For The Incredibles, just like with San Fransokyo (Big Hero 6), given that they have the superhero aspect they can put any random threat in the world (e.g. Underminer, Heartless, the OC Villain (Xigbar/Luxu, MoM, one of the Foretellers), etc.), since its most likely going to take place after the events of the 2nd film given that Evelyn Deavor was arrested. Speaking of which, I also wouldn't get my hopes up on battling Syndrome due to his demise in the first film which will disappoint certain players that wanted to battle him in the Kingdom Hearts series only to have their hopes crushed he's not in the game, so that's that, even the same can be said for Hopper (A Bug's Life) due to his demise from his own film. As for Terry from Pixar's Soul, when compared to the other Pixar antagonists, she's more of an "obstacle" than a full fledged villain as her job is counting the number of souls that enter the Great Beyond and dislikes whenever the "count is off" or a soul is missing, so more than likely if we wound up getting a world based on the film she's going to give pursuit to Sora and the gang and be an obstacle much like how she tried to find the soul of Joe Gardner in the film, instead of having her as an actual boss or go through what Randall went through in KH3. Personally, I'm okay with having more original KH centric stories for the Pixar worlds, but if they do have the Pixar villain/antagonist appear and be involved in the original story, I don't want Pixar to continuously be very restrictive like what they did with Randall in the Monster's Inc. world back in KH3. But what do you guys think do you want some Pixar antagonists in a future KH game or just only leave Randall as the ONLY Pixar Villain/antagonist in the series?
  2. Well look at this Sneaky Pixar delivers the teaser for their thanksgiving feature of 2017 Coco I'm liking what I'm seeing since I also was one of the audience from 2015's D23 Expo seeing the first rendered Reel of the concept. I really like that it will feature a child as a protagonist. And Miguel so far seems like a very nice addition.
  3. 19 YEARS OF A GREAT TIME GROWING UP WITH ANIMATION. THIS IS A POST ABOUT PIXAR'S IMPACT ON AUDIENCE SINCE THEY FIRST RELEASED TOY STORY AND THE HYPE FOR THE GOOD DINOSAUR. I hope you enjoy reading this post Did that trailer made you tear up It surely made me It was 20 years ago Pixar released their first CGI Animated Feature Toy Story 1995. And during this time I have had a great childhood growing up with animated features both from Disney Animation, Pixar Animation and other Animation companies as well. I remember watching Toy Story many times as a kid and grew beautiful nostalgia memories /my core memories/ from Toy Story 2, Monsters Inc, Finding Nemo many from Pixar like Ratatouille, all from Pixar except for Brave. Every time I watch Monsters Inc I cry it's such a nostalagic, original and touching story that I remember me as 5/6 year old child loving and wanted to re watch many times on vhs. Then one year later I was 7 and was obsessed with Finding Nemo and collected Happy Meal toys and received Finding Nemo as my first DVD. as 8 I saw Brad Bird's The Incredibles another great Pixar film that I remember me and my cousins used to play we were Dash and Violet after we had seen the film pretending we had superpowers/huh the old days. When I was 10 me and my dad had an awesome father and son friday night watching Cars in theaters. I loved the first Cars just as much as Incredibles and shared a strong bond with my father who enjoyed the movie just as much we have, and will never care about the critics. When Ratatouille came out I was 11 and once again shared a connection with my father who really liked the film's message and I loved Remy and related to him a lot even though he was a rat . Then Wall.e came when I was 12, Wall.e was a film that I watched a lot with my sister like we used to when we watched The early Toy Story films as very young children. Wall.e was definitely a cute film that I liked but was not my favourite. What I loved about the year 2009 when I became a teen was that Up came out. My parents and some friends of mine thought the character design made the movie look childish and oh boy were they wrong the film made both of my parents tear up at the opening while they first said they wouldn't even give it a try. And the rest of the film was a great adventure with my favourite Up character Dug. Being 14 was finally an age where I somehow started to be less insecure and more open to the stuff I liked and Toy Story 3 was indeed a great way to end the trilogy. The main impact on the story I understood but wasn't taken away by but I was only 14 back then and now that Im older I can more relate to Andy in Toy Story 3. And then yet again Cars 2 came out when I was 15 and I saw it again with my father and we actually enjoyed it which was all that was needed, we actually really liked how they traveled around the world. Although I would have wished they stayed with Mcqueen as the protagonist and more screen time for Sally. 16 was an age that I really enjoyed things were changing people started to treat you more like a grown up but Brave surely did not fall to my taste but luckily WDA's Wreck It Ralph came to the rescue that year. As 17 things were really changing but MU came out just at the right time in my life. The coincidence was that I happened to be the same age as Mike in MU while I was in a new school that I had fought really hard to get into. I saw the film on the premiere and this movie reminded me so much about MI from my childhood and my current situation as a teen. I love The MI franchise with a passion and MU made me cry just like MI had. And since there was no Pixar film in 2014 I was busy with Big Hero 6 and HTTYD2, then later Inside Out came out at the right time. I didn't watch Inside Out while it was brand new I watched it 2 months later when I had felt sad and a little depressed, but watching Inside Out with it's bright animation, moving story and funny gags made me feel better after the film was over And now that I have simply wrapped up my childhood with Pixar we come to a film that have connected with me crazily since I saw a preview at this year D23. It's The Good Dinosaur. This film have really captured my soul and there are 2 reasons to why I have really connected with this film. 1. The film's main protagonist Arlo keeps reminding me about my favourite dinosaur growing up Littlefoot from TLBT both in personality and voice. This have caused me to see Arlo as a nostalgic Littlefoot through my eyes. Spot is also a reason I have connected to this film and that is because of his rare features. When you think of an animated character you can relate to through appearance there is no Disney or Pixar boy character that have turquoise blue colored eyes and straight light brown hair except for Andy from Toy Story 3. Light brown hair also mentioned as caramel is rare in animated boy characters, so therefor Spot is the second animated boy character to have this rare feature. I know it's small details but when you can see the resemblance of an animated character by appearance it's a thing you get excited for, but I look very similar to Andy from TS3. 2. The Realistic Visuals/Cartoonish Design When I first got to see these beautiful realistic visuals on the big screen at D23 I was completely blown away by what I saw Never had I ever seen something so freaking realistic in animation since Tintin 2011 and Epic. Well that's all I wanted to point out, Do you have a strong connection to Pixar's films growing up, let me know your thoughts
  4. As the title says what's your least favourite Pixar film? My least favourite from Pixar is Brave the first movie from Pixar that I actually had to turn off cause it was so bad for my taste, and now here is why. When the first trailer for this movie was released back in 2011 it made the movie look like it was going to be an epic story of a strong female lead that would protect her kingdom and fight an evil bear. As we got closer to release in 2012 the movie was still marketed in this way with Merida being an independent female lead who seemed to care for her people and fight yet again evil. When the movie was finally released I was incredibly dissapointed in Pixar and thought "Oh man Pixar how can you go this low don't ever again try to make a fairy tale again, that's not your strength it's Disney's". I was so dissapointed in what Pixar had made with this movie. Why the hell is this movie called Brave there is absolutely nothing that Merida does that is brave in this movie this movie should have either stayed to the original title The Bear & The Bow or The Entitled Brat cause that's what Merida really is, nowhere near brave. This movie was falsely marketed tricking people to believe that this movie would be something epic and inspiring but what we received was a story of a rebellious, spoiled brat that poisoned her mother into a bear, the most immature protagonist that Pixar has ever come out with. This movie is nowhere original it rehashes plots from other DIsney movies like Pocahontas, Aladdin, Brother Bear, Little Mermaid, Beauty And The Beast do I really haft to continue. The humor in this movie is hideous incredibly childish like it's made for day care children I did not laugh a single time in this movie. Men in this movie are treated as big, stupid, ignorant, violent, killing machines while women are treated as strong, bossy, independent and bratty the last one goes for Merida. To be fair this movie looks down at men way to much, a freaking feminist movie. The characters in this movie are horrible we have a scottish teenage brat, an overly bossy mother, a stupid, unintelligent, violent father, stupid immature clans, three annoying ginger babies, a underdeveloped witch and her forced crow, a horse, a maid that thinks she's so funny and a bear that have way to little screen time. I seriously cannot believe that people look up to Merida as a role model heck even how she got into the DP franchise. So your telling me you would want your kids to grow up into poisoning your parent just so they can get away with their responsibility of actually growing up. as this confession says Merida did not learn her lesson at the end of the movie and did not change the only one that changed in this movie was her mother she became less bossy and more understanding but did Merida change no she remained the same. And one more thing about Merida she's nowhere strong willed, brave and heroic most of the movie she cried her way through her own caused problems instead of actually stopping them. Not so brave as you thought huh!. And then of course there is the fandom of having Merida and Hiccup as a couple. God dammit Mericcup leave Hiccup alone! Hiccup who actually was a well developed character already had a love interest so why the hell would you mix him with Merida, besides they are way to different to be a couple end of the story. But there is one thing that I can defend Brave for and that is it's animation, the animation in Brave is beautiful really realistic and one of Pixar's best but that sadly won't save this movie from what it really is. And as for KH3 my doors are not open for a Brave world in the game why not actually go with Robin Hood and Brother Bear instead those movies had a good story and characters. But if it happens then it happens no big deal. At least Kenai developed as a character who did change unlike Merida the brat. Now it's your turn
