The year is 40XX, to this day, the Card Game known, as Duel Monsters is still a world-wide fab, even especially in the huge town known, as Hakumo City/High City, where here, lives the young, spirited Duelist named Cacu Yumei/Cevin Yumei, who, upon reading old books and texts about the history and legacy of Duel Monsters, has always, ALWAYS wanted to become just like his DM champion heroes: Yugi Mutou/Yugi Muto/Yugi Moto, Judai Yuki/Jaden Yuki and Yusei Fudo of the past. High City utilizes a very special kind of technology known, as Dream Dueling, where one can enter into a deep sleep when Dueling against another person and experience all kinds of things, for example, the two Duelists' Dreams mix and mash with one another to create an all brand new Dream for the two Duelists to experience, namely in other-words, the background setting of the Duelists' Duel Zone. Not only that but Dream Dueling allows the Duelist to transfer parts of their personality into their Monsters, giving the Monsters individual appearances, colours and especially abilities of their own to wield in battle but to give fair rules for Dream Dueling, there is a limit to how much the Duelist can place into their Monster in order to make it fair for their opponent, for example, the two sides must start off with 10,000 Life Points each and every time they pour parts of themselves into their Monsters to make the Monsters basically the Duelists themselves acting in battle, they are required to give up 100 points depending on the number of stars that the Monster has exactly, the exact 100 number of Life Points corresponding to the exact number of stars that the Duel Monster that they are using in battle has. Cacu/Cevin uses his Ace Duel Monster in battle called "Signal Breaker: RadioShack Fist", for Cacu/Cevin uses a all around, all balanced Signal Breaker Deck. Cacu/Cevin attends High City's one of a kind, special Duel Academy known, as Signet Academy and it is here that he meets his very best friend since childhood named "Lumina Hakumo/Lumina High, the daughter of the City's mayor and descendent of the City's founder who has un-reciprocated feelings for Cevin and his rival named Shusei Riard/Shimon Riard, the Academy's 4th ranked top Duelist that is part of a group of Duel Thieves known, as The Zeroes. The Zeroes have been in action for about over 1 month now and for some both strange and mysterious reason, they are going around, stealing peoples' Cards in search of one called "X Guardian: The Lord and Master of Chaos", for apparently, that is the Card that the Zeroes' leader, codenamed Rei/Zero is after. Not wanting injustice to be done within their City, Cacu/Cevin and Lumina, alongside many, many others that they will soon meet and join the two, will take on the Zeroes and form their very own group of Duelists that they will soon dub: The ZevenZ. The ZevenZ will uphold justice within High City and stop anyone who threatens to hurt others and their feelings, the motto of the ZevenZ's is "Get ready to Duel the lucky ZevenZ!" and the motto of Cacu/Cevin personally is "Bring it! let the lucky ZevenZ be mine!!", thus began the adventures of Cacu/Cevin and his friends, facing all odds that they come across... Rules: This RP is meant to be based upon the themes, feelings and looks of the 1st three Yu-Gi-Oh! series so please if your a fan be respectful and act like a Duelist and/or normal Character would in those series, it's not to say that ZEXAL, ZEXAL II, ARC-V and/or VRAINS aren't included but it's more mainly about the original series of Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters before ZEXAL, you can include elements of the latter series if you want, just reminding everyone otherwise. You can have up to 4 Characters each per person, two Duelists and two normal Characters each respectively. Please stay true to the rules of the original Duel Monsters Card Game, the only difference is Dream Dueling and every time someone imparts some of their personality into their Monster to control them directly, they must lose 100 of their 10,000 Life Points according to the number of stars that the Monster that they are using in battle has. I don't know how to play the Card Game myself so i am only making this RP because of my fan love for the Anime series of Duel Monsters, GX and 5D's, i will put a person in charge who is very knowledgeable about the Card Game rules and/or the Anime series whilst i handle the RP's creative direction. RP Story Duel Monsters,it is a card game that has been existed in the Ancient Egyptian times until this day. It is a game that tests the people's skills and to prove which of them is the King of Games (Yu-Gi-Oh!),thus gave birth to the people who wield cards known as Duelist. Even though there are many uses of the Duel Monsters for good and bad things,it is a game that ties all the duelists together,leading them into an unexpected fate. There are four dimensions that ties to the Duel Monsters: Standard Dimension, Fusion Dimension, Synchro Dimension & Xyz Dimension. Each dimensions lies a duelist who can perform a different & various ways of summoning their monsters. Thus, it leads to a duel between duelist with unbelievable strength. It is a duel to show which dimensions that can perform the strongest summons. One day, there was an unknown Dimension that suddenly birth from the eons,known as the "Duel Rift".It is a dimension that stands in between all four dimensions. It is a dimension that replicates most of the familiar places from around four dimensions itself. Suddenly,duelists from different dimensions were being sent to the Duel Rift by an unknown reason. But the most surprising of all,is that the duelist in the Rift have lost all of their memories,leading to only the figment of knowing how to duel... With questions in the duelists's thoughts,their only answer is to duel each other in order to regain their lost memories. As one by one began to awaken it,the truth behind the Duel Rift will unfold... RP & Duel Rules So yeah, On this RP,KH13 Rules is a must (Like No Godmodding,PG13 and so on..). Each roleplayer can only create one character.The Roleplayers will have to Duel in the Dueling Network (www.duelingnetwork.com) where we can duel straight away from that duel website. Before the roleplayers will perform a duel,both of them will have to post "STANDBY" in their post so that it can shows that they're preparing for a duel. The duel will also need at least 1 or 2 other roleplayers to watch the duel as witnesses so that there'll be no cheating or any bad things during the duel. Those who don't follow the rules in the RP and/or in the Duel at least 3 times will be kicked out from the RP. The watchers will have to post the results of those duel in the RP Topic in order to show that the duel was really happening.Here's the Sheet for the Watchers: Duel : (Like Duelist A vs Duelist B) Winner : (Duelist A for example) Finisher Card : (What Card that the winner used to end the duel) However,if this sheet doesn't work out for you,you could make a summary instead.Let's not forget that the Roleplayers will have to roleplay in chat during the Duel in the Dueling Network. Also,I would like to make a split of two duelists: Advance Level Duelist & Basic Level Duelist. Basic Level Duel Basic Level Duelist will only know about the Duelist Kingdom Duel Rules,where duelist can choose either 4000 or 8000 as their starting life points during the duel.You won't be need of tributes for Tribute Summon. However,Basic Level Duelist can performing Special Summons that involves a monster from the extra deck up to 3 times,regardless of how many kinds of your special summons. Also,duelist can only perform 1 Direct Attack on your turn. Advance Level Duel Advance Level Duel will know about the Battle City Duel Rules,where duelist can choose either 8000 or 16000 as their starting life points during the duel. As always,duelist must have to follow the rules of tribute summons. They are able to use monsters from the Extra Deck by performing special summons as many times as they like. There will be no Direct Attack restrictions on this rule. Also,let's not forget that the player can't draw on the first turn. Here's the results of during the situation where different level duelist collides: Advance Duelist vs Advance Duelist = Both Duelists commences Advance Level Duel Basic Duelist vs Basic Duelist = Both Duelists commences Basic Level Duel Advance Duelist vs Basic Duelist = Both Duelists commences Basic Level Duel So yeah,this is for balancing the duel between the new & experienced players who join the RP.Also,try not to post too much that the other Roleplayers can't keep up as it will cause a big left behind for the characters,thus need at least 4 different member's post after posting your own.
