Source (Note: this information was leaked early as the official announcement was scheduled for June 12. No confirmation if there will be further news at the upcoming E3 but there is a possibility) Confirmed characters so far (ala these screenshots): A brand new DragonBall game is in our midsts, ladies and gentleman, and it is not a sequel to the Xenoverse franchise. No instead, this is a 2.5D fighter accurately named "DragonBall FighterZ" developed by Arc Systems Works, the development team behind the successful Guilty Gear and BlazBlue franchises, scheduled for worldwide release in early 2018. Arc System Works has a bit of a history of DragonBall as they developed the SuperSonic Warriors series of games way back in the years of 2004 and 2005, and also had a hand in the game Extreme Butoden released for the 3DS in 2015. This will be one of the first DragonBall 2D fighters (as well as the first ever 2.5D game) released for current generation consoles since Dimps released "DragonBall Z: Infinite World", the last official entry to the Budokai series, in 2008. As far as information on the game is concerned: Now personally: ... well, let's be honest, you already know I'm hyped. I still haven't haven't gotten on the XV2 train yet, but other than that, I'm a fairly well-versed aficionado in DragonBall games, especially the fighting game franchises. This game in particular, however, still feels like it will feel like a dive into a brand new experience, not only because of the 2.5D and other aspects concerning graphics and gameplay listed above, but also because this harkens back to a more traditional fighter that is more commonly seen related to DragonBall in the old school Butoden series of games, as well as other notable examples such as Hyper Dimension and Super DragonBall Z. However, I am also confident that ASW will deliver on their ambitions on "ultra high speed battles" and "flashy special moves" to fit the DragonBall experience because frankly, that is the only way to go when making a DragonBall fighter. I remember way back when, I used to harp on the games made by Dimps for just being Street Fighter clones, and you know what, I don't know what the Hell I was on about because Dimps knew exactly how to take the standard fighting game format and "DragonBall" it up. From Budokai to Shin Budokai to Burst Limit, whether or not you like any of those entries at all, they hit hard, they were fast-paced, and they truly made you believe you were not just a fighter, but a fighter from the DragonBall universe capable of throwing around energy beams and disappearing in and out sight to perform crushing high-speed combos. They knew how to make a DragonBall game exciting in a way that is true to the series while also making a competent fighter, and that is what I believe ASW is capable of doing with this game and why I look forward to future news. So what about you? Are you excited for another DragonBall game? Are you glad that the series is receiving another traditional fighter? Do you think this game has potential to be name-checked in the same vein as Street Fighter V, Tekken 7, Injustice 2, Killer Instinct, etc.? Leave your comments below.

Well, didn't see this coming. Given the thumbnail, I figured this would be animated using the models from Xenoverse and SF5 too. It's a shame because each have really good art styles. Oh well, this was still funny.

Looks like I was right, they are going to blow through all the abridged characters they can. I can't wait until Luffy from None Piece shows up.

Hello there, everyone. V-mon again here, and finally, I am bringing a topic after such a long time. This discussion is going to be about, you guessed it: Dragons. But before we get to that, I would like to say a few words. As we discuss here, I may or may not speak as serious as I am now, but for the most part, this is a topic in particular that I take pride in talking about. Now I'm not saying we can't be silly at times, but let's try to respect each other, like in most discussions we do. If we keep it on-topic, we'll all get along. In this topic, you can talk about all sorts of dragons! We'll talk about these dragons... ...these dragons... ...And most importantly, these dragons... We will talk about all the different kinds of dragons you want, ones from games, movies, anime, and even dragons in culture! Also, want to just talk about dragons in general? Or perhaps you wanted to show us a drawing or image of a dragon? You are free to post about that, too. Poems about dragons are allowed as well! (I don't know how many people actually do stuff like that, but hey, why not?) As a starting discussion, can you recall the FIRST dragon you ever heard of or ever seen? Did you see it in a movie, a book, a show, or something more mystical like folklore? For me, the first dragon I can recall seeing was either the one from the movie, Shrek, or the ones from the kids' TV show Dragon Tales. It was such a long time since then, I'd say I was about 4-5 years old when I saw a dragon for the first time. Rock on!

Hasn't everyone wanted to do this at one point? I know I have. Although I might need an ambulance afterwards. Also, this video is continual proof that even a silly video on the internet is better than The Movie That Shall Not Be Named.

Of these three mythical creatures, which one do you like more than the other two: Dragons, Phoenixes, or Pegasuses? This isn't asking which is your favorite, just which one you prefer more than the other two. (I don't know the correct spelling for the plural versions of the last two. ) As some of you would have guessed from my avatar and my profile page, I have to go for dragons.

BecauseI'mtiredofseeingpeople, includingme, makeanewthreadeverytimenewinfocomesoutanditshouldallbecollectedinonethreadanyway, orevenbetter, justbemovedtothe generalDragonBallthreadwhereallDragonBallrelatedstuffshouldbeinthefirstplace. Ahem, anyways, in case this has to stand on its own... Long story short: There's a new DragonBall Z movie coming out called "Resurrection 'F', also known as "Fukkatsu no 'F'" and "Revival of 'F'", Frieza is being resurrected, likely getting a power up, Goku and Vegeta have new outfits, Lord Beerus and Whis are back, blah blah blah blah blah, you get the gist. A couple of (translated) scans from Saikyou Jump have come out, revealing a few new bits of info on the movie, including the origin of Frieza's newly introduced henchmen, Sorbet and Tagoma, as well as information on Goku, Gohan, Piccolo and more! http://www.shonengamez.com/2014/12/06/dragon-ball-z-revival-f-scans-reveal-two-mystery-characters-survivors-friezas-army/

Anime | Manga "DragonBall Super" Will Receive Manga Adaption
Firaga posted a topic in General Discussion
http://www.shonengamez.com/2015/05/16/dragon-ball-super-to-get-a-manga-adaptation-as-well/ That's right. Alongside the new DragonBall anime coming up in July will be a manga adaption of the same name. The manga is being handled by Akira Toriyama alongside Toyotaro, the artist behind DragonBall Heroes: Victory Mission and the DragonBall Z: Resurrection 'F' manga adaption. Now, adapting an anime into a manga and vice-versa is not a new idea, especially not for DragonBall's demographic, but it appears the manga is reportedly going to release at the time as the anime will be airing on television. It is going to be a straight adaption? Or maybe it'll cover events not going to be shown in the anime? I personally don't have the answer, but I am excited/interested none-the-less. -
I would pay to see a crossover of either the Legend or Classic Spyro series with Kingdom Hearts. Spyro was my childhood. Anyone agree?

Anime | Manga DragonBall Z: Fukkatsu No F - 1st TV Trailer

While the trailer is short, it does raise up a few questions of how the movie goes down, don't you think?
