Normally, I do not participate in such banal things as video games. While I wait for The King to gather his lights, however, I found myself with much spare time on my hands (all 24 of them). Needless to say, I found this little game, Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call, intriguing. Being able to play through all of the songs was intriguing, and it was after hearing the variety from even the less-favored titles (like Final Fantasy XIII, so I am told, though the name resonates with me so I may have to give it a try). It is like reaching into a bowl of fine sweets. Though all may be different, they are all enjoyable. In particular, I favor the song J-E-N-O-V-A. It brings to mind some of the more pleasant memories of Radiant Garden. As for the character designs themselves, they are a little bit too "adorable" for my liking. I only wish I could remake them more to my own tastes. Nevertheless, this game is not really about the characters, but about the astounding music. Much to my pleasure as well, the Quest Mode of the game gives a nice journey to go on, with a clear ending in sight. My biggest love, and greatest disappointment with the game, is with the story. It told of an all too common clash between the forces of light and darkness. Once again here, the light always wins, casting a stereotypical shadow of us beings of the dark. This will be one of the story types I hope will be changed once the Keyblade War is reenacted. Because the story is not focused upon most of the game, however, it is not much of a setback. My score for this game shall be 10/13, and one would not have to gamble on this game to enjoy. My other darknesses and I have found this to be a fair way to pass the time when we meet up, and we have agreed upon one thing. This search for the amazing game must continue. Thus, I shall dub these the "Xehanort Gaming Reports." -- Okay, Dr. Shimo myself speaking again. Just an idea I had come up with, something fun for me to do would be to write game (and maybe other) reviews from the viewpoint of Xehanort and other darknesses such as Braig/Xigbar. I'm sure it needs a little bit of work but I certainly welcome feedback (never done anything of the sort before!), and I hope to continue these!
