Oh, this was a long while back, so it's likely changed again, but... Before, I was able to restart levels as often as I wanted. Microtransactions were there, yeah, but you weren't obligated or forced to get them. However, when I redownloaded it a couple years later, I found that you could no longer infinitely restart levels. Instead, you were given, like, three restarts before a big ol' microtransaction ad for something to help you beat the level would pop up and you couldn't close it out at all. You would have to restart the game entirely to try again.
