I generally play normal mode and I will do the other difficulties if I'm feeling spicy afterwards.

I was more like "why do people expect dark souls out of Kingdom hearts", I'm not really insecure about the disney elements, I just find it funny that people want to difficulty gatekeep an all ages game. sorry I've never been good at communication due to broken brain

Several years ago i had someone straight up tell me that people shouldn't be allowed to play KH games on lower difficulties and higher levels. An adult no less. I'm like "my dude this is a game with mickey mouse"

interesting, you can get all of the KH steam games until june 27 for $68.99, after which it'll go back up to $99 I can download 1.5+2.5 and 2.8, not 3 yet.

I took a look into this whole situation and the rabbit hole seems to go deep. I kinda got out before I fell in lol. Just seems to be leaker drama and such. At least they won’t be taken seriously anymore.

I love that the Steam versions drop on my payday lol I’m hoping there’s an early bird discount that they sometimes give with Square steam games.

There’s been people everywhere talking about their leaks. Videos popping up on my feed. I think they flew a little too close the sun there, and now they’re getting more unsavory attention. Hoping they stay safe, I don’t want anyone to get harmed especially over video game leaks of all things.

Are people still predicting Defino plaza dlc for Mario odyssey? That was a popular one for a while lol I feel the wind waker HD/ twilight princess HD rumormongers are taking the “broken clock is right twice a day” approach. They were predicting those back in 2017 and they’re still predicting them to this day. At least that’s what the videos I scroll past on YouTube say lol. The ones with the fake cover art. I try to block videos like that but they keep popping up on my feed.

Leaks don’t necessarily ruin my experience for gaming events. Ones that spoil a games story do though. I actively avoid leaks though and don’t believe them because for one they can be wrong and two even if they’re right they can get details wrong. Good example of a game being leaked but the details being totally wrong is super Mario 3D all stars. Leaks were pretty much saying that it included remakes of Mario 64, Sunshine, and Galaxy 1&2. What we got were semi-touched up emulated versions of Mario 64, sunshine, and Galaxy 1.

I'm sure they know that the easiest way to fight against piracy is to compete against it, like make their old games available on PC through an easy to access cheap service. But they're too proud to do that, it's their platform or nowhere.

I am of the opinion that I like Nintendo's games but I'm not a big fan of the company itself. It's one of those oddball Japanese companies like Toei that believes in absolute control over everything.

I guess they didn't want to bother with coding in new dialogue, even if it could've been a text only scene. They probably thought they didn't need it because in some worlds, besides the ones where they get drastic changes like lion form, they don't acknowledge their changed outfits. speaking of which... as a mod, it would be cool if someone could somehow make pirate trio models for the KH2 world that look like the KH3 ones. I think that's a bit too complex though, esp considering the clothes have to consider drive forms.

In the original version of KH2, they still wore their Halloween Town outfits in Christmas Town, so there was no change. The Christmas skins were added in the Final Mix version and they didn't add any dialogue to acknowledge it.

Part of me wonders if nomura getting booted off the Versus XIII project made him a little bitter and made him not want to include those characters in a KH game lol. It would be interesting though if we saw Noctis in Quadratum.

Steam versions will scratch the KH itch for me in the meantime. I've also got Nintendo stuff to look forward to. At the very least we'll be getting some news on the switch successor by next March.
