If u mean the 3D scene with YX and sora in notre dame, sora sees vanitas cos of a reaction from ven's Heart. He was annoying Nort so Nort put him in his place. Vanitas knows at that point he can't take MX. He had enough brains and self-preservation not push Nort. Though it seems by BBS he's more reckless or no longer cares if Nort kills him or not given he's willing to ruin Nort's plan and suffer his wrath

fine but i'm waiting on nomura's word also vanitas lore in bbs novel doesn't seem to match with his remind and DR lore also vanitas lore in 3 novel has him recall memories of the kb gy but he doesn't from who they are from even though he should really given dr AND REMIND implies he knows damn well what he is

like among them YX and vanitas are the ones who have no kind of epiphany or moment of reflection vanitas wholly accepts he's darkness and unrepentent and young nort is a dick to the end

yah he came realized all he did was pointless like he takes no action to stop the kids from taking Ansem the wise for one. he just stopped caring even though he could have used his epiphany and actively helped the GOL stop Old nort even if he's doomed to go back to his time and die with no memories but didn't though i suppose not doing anything to stop hayner an co did help even if he didn't intend it to actively

It basically says that Ansem SOD is depicted in 3 more like his KH 1 depiction which i agree with. He started out as a guy who while warped and amoral yet did everything he did out of legit curiosity while after that he basically just got obsessed with making riku give into darkness and be his vessel. Like in 3 he's basically depressed from knowing his actions will mean nothing and he's just a pawn and has basically just accepted his fate even though he could have actually switched sides in 3 but chose to stick with the path he found himself on and he can't make use of his epiphany cos its just gonna be removed from his memory in the end

Old Nort may have controlled Darkness but he was still corrupted and twisted by it. His actions make that clear regardless of his end goal. Ansem SOD is literally a Heartless with a genius intellect and a warped world view. Nearly everything he did was out of genuine scientific curiosity according to TV Tropes at least.

they are. he literally says But i am Darkness in 3. And again What I am is Darkness. He knows what he is, accepts it and is content with it. Some Heartless are more sentient than others. The word sapient is what you seek, and yes some are sapient aswell. Ansem SOD, Sora's Heartless The Darklings. They are just all except Sora's Heartless for a brief time have the same urge to consume Light and spread Darkness. They are literally just the physical incarnations of Hearts that are taken by Darkness And certain dark creatures can summon and control them like Dark Chirithy also a Darkness-born and based creature. And True Darknesses ofc since they are spawned from them or one of them And self-aware inner darknesses can summon and control them too

he's a combo of ven's and true darkness they merged true darkness goes into ven merges wit his inner darkness takes it out ven's takes both back nort rips darkness out ven takes it back time travel happens between the last 2

but ya in the story old guy (xigbar) and may ur heart b guiding guy seem to be different people in context. there''s no indication xiggy went around using the phrase prior to REMIND which he only did cos he thought he was alone meanwhile MOM liberally throws that around to everyone
