i think it's because the show focuses on a part of the city that's not where batman stories typically take place (if i'm remembering correctly from interviews and post-episode behind the scenes segments), so if there's any mention of him it'd be as a quick mention and nothing more. like, he's seen as the hero of richer parts, not this part. that's my best guess, anyway haven't watched tonight's episode yet, though, not available in my timezone for another half hour

I think the only real point that could be made here is that the Pokémon one is a style choice. No, not the poor graphics quality, but like... you wouldn't compare how bloodborne looks compared to fall guys just because they run on the same system (from an aesthetic standpoint, anyway) But that's about as far as you could defend it
