They're both in Tokyo, Sora's in Shibuya and Riku is in Shinjuku which is all Verum Rex iirc the initial verum rex trailer you see in Toy Story does show parts of Shibuya and from the MoM's shot you can see shibuya and shinjuku

That full Nomura interview was interesting. Since Sora does wake up in alternate Shibuya after kh3, that must mean that Riku gets there a while later Wonder if Riku's story will then get expanded on in DLC or related to the next production thing Nomura mentioned
