To my knowledge, there's never been a strict rule that says who can use the corridors of darkness. The people who could use them just seem to have some things in common - they're either Nobodies or they have an association with darkness. Those three seem like they're on the side of light now, so I wouldn't expect them to be able to use them, but I also wouldn't be that surprised if Nomura waved his hand and made up a reason for why they could. lol

Mx’s screentime
setsugekka replied to Iscreamer1's topic in Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind
Seems a little rude to assume that that's how OP feels. That's not even what they're saying. I think it's a fair question to ask. At the moment, I don't think we've heard official word on that, though, so your guess is as good as mine. Personally, I think it's just coincidental. I didn't get the impression that there were any scenes with him that were cut or anything. There were so many characters for them to cover in one game, it must have been hard enough finding the opportunity to give everyone some screen time. Regardless of the outside circumstances, Xehanort has always been more of a "final boss" type of character who makes his big appearance near the end of the games anyway. But I can understand if you wanted to see more of him, seeing as how this was the end of his saga. -
Ages later, I return to this post feeling like a fool because now I'm almost certain that Luxord is Ava. (Or her Nobody.) It wouldn't even be that weird for her to appear in another time as a guy. If I'm right about the Foretellers being artificial hearts, then everything about her original identity was something dictated by the Master of Masters. By the time Ava confronted Luxu and went rogue, she seemed like a totally different person from the one we saw in Back Cover. It's like as soon as she began to think for herself, her own individual identity began to form. So here are a few things I'm feeling... The interactions between Xigbar and Luxord in the DLC trailer remind me a lot of Luxu and Ava. If Luxord regained some of his memories and remembered who he was by that point, that might have been reason for him to become suspicious that Xigbar was Luxu. Hence, the line about "playing dumb." The scene in the trailer feels like a parallel to their confrontation in khux. Ava fits the description of the traitor, but she doesn't bear the sigil. Luxord, however, is number X. I'm absolutely positive that Demyx is the Master of Masters. (Er... His Nobody.) Out of the mysterious four, he was chosen first. Like how Marluxia and Larxene have a connection with each other, I feel like Luxord must have a connection to Demyx. Since Ava seemed interested in pursuing the MoM, I wouldn't be surprised if she bumbled her way into the Organization in her attempt to follow him. Luxord is a gambler and Ava's name means "greed". (Back in KH2, Luxord referred to the boss Heartless of Port Royal as "a veritable maelstrom of avarice.") Luxord has always been protective of the younger members of the Organization as well as Sora. In a diary entry in Days, he even has an entry where he wistfully contemplates the differences between adults and children and remarks on the courage of children. The Gambler Nobodies straight-up look like Ava's Foreteller outfit, sharing all the same colors in all the same places. As the wiki states, "A Gambler does not seem to have an actual body, and is instead an animated set of clothing." It's sort of like they're what remained of the old Ava after she became someone new. Or, you could interpret them as the robes she discarded after she made her decision to betray the MoM. More than games themselves, Luxord has a preoccupation with following the rules and getting others to obey them as well. Obeying the MoM's rules without question was Ava's major flaw. It seems like Luxord carries that flaw, trusting that everyone will play fairly as long as there are rules. Whenever someone ignores the rules (such as Jack), he's thrown off guard and that's what usually leads to his defeat. Nomura has drawn Xigbar, Demyx, and Luxord together a number of times. There's gotta be a connection there. Now here's the fun part... We still don't know what the "traitor" did to be called a traitor. All of the Foretellers fought each other, not just Ava. So why did the Master of Masters single out one of them as a traitor? What does the person with the sigil do...? Rest in peace, Demyx.

Oh hey, I've thought about this! Luxu spent like a thousand years relying only on himself. It might have been something the MoM taught him, or it might have been something he came to believe along the way, but I think he thinks that you only need yourself to be strong. As a result, he believes that only someone who possesses individual strength is deserving of the keyblade. Sora doesn't seem to take pride in his own strength, though. He's the total opposite. Even if he were weak and worthless on his own, he trusts in his friends to support him. After seeing the way the Foretellers utterly fell apart and didn't work together, it's likely that Xigbar doesn't see "friends" as a source of strength at all. The fact that Sora takes pride in something that Xigbar sees as a weakness is the thing that makes him react so strongly here.

There was a Back Cover interview where Nomura got asked about Luxu and I found his answer really interesting. He described Luxu as being very similar to the MoM, making the distinction that Luxu is the "philosophical" one, whereas the MoM is the "quirky one". They remind me of a manzai act - a Japanese comedy duo where one is the "idiot" and the other is the straight man. In this case, I see Xigbar being the straight man. I expect that we'll see them working together a lot. In TWEWY terms, I think the MoM is like the Composer, powerful and important yet rarely seen. Luxu is the Conductor, the one who takes the MoM's orders and interprets them for the others. The Foretellers are probably like Game Masters, the ones who follow the Conductor and actually do the legwork. I don't think I've seen anyone mention this theory here yet, but I think the Foretellers were an experiment. Like, they were artificial hearts or ancient replicas based on keyblade wielders from the future, created to be the MoM's personal brainwashed army. (Or maybe he just wanted friends... *looks at Demyx* Hmm... That'd be sad.) I don't think Luxu is one of them. Seeing as how he seemed like the MoM's assistant, he's probably a regular human... Or maybe he was part of the MoM, like Vanitas is to Ventus. That would explain their similarities. That's just another thing that gives me the impression that Luxu will have a commanding role over the Foretellers. As for when the MoM will return, I think Re:mind will show us how he comes back. I don't know how/why Nomura would drag it out for any longer than that, especially when we've probably already figured out who he is. asfkhjdk

The Chess Pieces
setsugekka replied to Sinre's topic in Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind
I assume you're talking about the emblem of the Book of Prophecies. As far as we know, it represents the Master of Masters. At the moment, nobody knows why the emblem was on Yen Sid's chalkboard. All I can say is that it doesn't seem unreasonable for it to be there/for him to know about it, seeing as how he's a keyblade master himself. If Brain was the one who Luxu bestowed the No Name to, then that means that Brain may have passed his knowledge of the Book down to future keyblade masters, including Yen Sid. That's just one possibility. -
I thought the implication was that you could select which character you fight as at those parts. The information we received so far was vague, so I could be wrong, but I imagined it would be like we get a menu or an area where we can choose to repeat those Keyblade Graveyard fights with the characters of our choosing. (Maybe portals would show up where the bosses used to be, idk.) In other words, it would be separate from the story.
-
idk, I've thought about that, but I think it's a coincidence - a happy coincidence. "Lux" is light, so it feels appropriate for characters to have that in their names. But if it does mean something... In the case of Luxord, who knows... It might be an indication that he's on the side of light. (Which he seems to be. Seems like a friendly dude.)
-
If Luxord is the Player from khux, then he's technically been in there this whole time. lol I find that idea the most likely, seeing as how "Ludor" means "player". (Similarly, "ludar" means "to gamble".) I feel partial to Demyx's name being Demy/Demi also, but there's nothing super concrete from the game that I can link it to like Luxord's name yet. At the same time, I have a feeling he might be like Luxu where his name will be irrelevant because it's actually something totally different. lol

The wording in these releases is always so confusing to me. It doesn't help that "additional scenarios", "limit cut", and "secret episode" sound vague and aren't descriptive enough, so I have trouble telling them apart. Legit, they all sound like the same thing to me. I'm assuming that it's two distinctive sections and other additional scenarios. Anyway, does this mean that nothing is being added in between the main story? It's all post-game + separate content? That seems kind of odd to me, seeing as how the scene in the trailer between Xigbar and Luxord looked like it could have occurred during the visit to Olympus.I guess that saves me from having to replay the whole thing to see what's new, but still...

Let's see... The scene most likely takes place right after YMX's Mark of Mastery exam, seeing as how YMX referred to the exam as a "tour of the worlds" in his reports. imo, the figure he's speaking to is the MoM. I've always been a believer that the MoM's heart is in the box. If that's the case, he could freely travel to any point in the future. The box seems to have been hidden in either Scala ad Caelum or the Keyblade Graveyard, so he could have gone straight from Back Cover to that spot where his heart was located in the future. He probably couldn't stay there for long if he was just a heart or a consciousness, though. The notion of the MoM being "trapped in the afterlife" hasn't been substantiated. The place in the secret ending isn't limbo. (Probably.) If Sora "died", he would have been sent back to the Final World. Considering what the power of waking is used for, he's probably just stranded in an unfamiliar world and lost the ability to go elsewhere. That doesn't mean that the MoM couldn't get there a normal way. He probably wasn't there this whole time. He's been in a box, waiting for his Nobody to recomplete him. lol I mean... That's just what I've been thinking for a while and the trailer just kinda makes it make sense. Of course, you have to believe that the MoM's heart is really what's in the box. As for WHY he's talking to YMX... Maybe his encounter with YMX is the reason he even knew that Luxu should pass the No Name down to a master of darkness. Like, he sought YMX out first to ensure that such a person would exist. Hard to say... I think there's something else going on. There was something suspicious about YMX's behavior in KH3.

The Video Game Theory
setsugekka replied to setsugekka's topic in Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind
After the DLC trailer, you've probably heard about the theory that Luxord is the Player from khux. I'm 100% on board with that theory. With that in mind, the way Luxord treats life like a game makes a lot of sense. lol The card he gave to Sora is a "wildcard" - the Fool in tarot. The Fool is often interpreted as the "protagonist". It would be rather symbolic for the protagonist of khux to hand his card to Sora, a fellow protagonist/player-controlled character. There's a lot more that supports Luxord being the Player, but I won't get into that right now. I'm just !!! very excited about that because it really fits in line with the way the video game theory breaks the fourth wall. I can't wait to see more in khux... I have a feeling that "world lines" might be different instances of the same game. In other words, the game I'm playing would be a different world line from the ones my friends are playing. Each world line might have their own Player. If that's the case, it's no wonder Luxu wouldn't have any idea who Luxord is. He couldn't have seen EVERY player. I kinda wonder if Luxu and the MoM can't predict the actions of the Player at all. Maybe that's the "power" of Luxord's card. Free will? Player choice? ...Maybe that's why the Heartless looked at the Player and said "You're different". omg. -
The Video Game Theory
setsugekka replied to setsugekka's topic in Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind
Oho~ Thank you for the link. I hadn't watched that yet. I think I found the part you're referring to. It's around the 30min mark. Sounds like he was starting to think along the same lines. Oh, and then he mentions it again around 1:20:00. Long video. lol -
Hey, guys. Long time no talk... I've spent all my time since KH3 thinking about what could possibly happen next. I'm really into all the theories people have come up with. There's one theory I've gotten especially attached to - the video game theory. I'm not the only person to come up with the idea, of course, but I think I might be the first person to put it all together and write it all down. It's 19 pages, but it's a pretty quick read because half of it is screenshots. lol I think we're getting close to finding out whether this one is true or not, so now's the perfect time to read it! If you like it, please share it! And of course, lemme know what you think. I need answers!!! edit: Oopsie. I had to remove my link. You can read it all right here now underneath the spoiler tag below!

The Struggle of the Lights?
setsugekka replied to Seyin95's topic in Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind
At the moment, I don't think anyone's considering them to be a part of the Guardians of Light. They're always with Sora, so of course they'd be there.- 6 replies

They could be Norts and be secretly working against Xehanort. There's too much we don't know, so I'm not sure what makes you so sure that the theory isn't possible. The dialog we've heard from them seems to support it. First, there was Vexen saying "He's the mastermind of the plan" - we don't know who "he" is, nor do we know what the "plan" is. It could be Ansem the Wise. We really don't know what he's up to at the moment. And now we have a clip of what appears to be Vexen trying to persuade Demyx to do something risky with him, probably from the same scene. If they really are real Norts, then I think it's important to consider whether they were Norted against their will. We don't know why Demyx was part of Organization XIII to start with. Why would he want to get back with Xehanort, especially when he admits to being such a scaredy-cat? But feel free to tell me what you think the holes are. The only thing I could think of so far is the possibility of Xehanort being able to tell where they are at all times, but that's not for sure.

kh3 7 lights theory
setsugekka replied to LostArtis's topic in Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind
Haha, I feel you. I'm willing to give any theory a fair shake since anything is possible right now. The idea of the different "Soras" being grouped together is really interesting to me. I hadn't thought about it like that yet. I could see them combining the power of their keyblades together or something to deliver one extremely strong attack with the other Lights. (Sort of like how Sora and Riku defeated Xemnas and Young Xehanort.) -
kh3 7 lights theory
setsugekka replied to LostArtis's topic in Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind
This feels like grasping at straws to me, but I do enjoy the idea of each of the 7 Lights being pairs. They're obviously being very deliberate about how they cut their trailers, but... Probably not this deliberate. Although I like the idea, I can't think of a reason why everyone would be matched up in pairs, particularly the way you grouped them on the cover art. I could believe Sora+Kairi, Axel+Roxas, Donald+Goofy, Mickey+Riku, and Terra+Ventus because those characters already have ties to each other through the story. But... Aqua and Xion? Namine and the Darkling?? That last one's the one that boggles me the most. I think the Darkling is just kinda there, apropos of nothing. As for Aqua and Xion, there doesn't seem to be any connection to them in the games whatsoever unless you start playing Ten Degrees of Sora Kingdom Hearts. But, I still like the idea of the Lights being represented by two people because then everyone gets included. We don't know what's going to happen with Vanitas, so he might be involved. One of the other friendly Organization members like Ienzo might get a keyblade for all we know. There's also still a lot about hkux that might interact with the story in ways we can't predict. So I'll give this one a "maybe, but unlikely." -
I don't think that's what the symbolism was implying. The black feather he turns and sees falling to the ground was probably a reference to Genesis, a character with one black wing from Crisis Core. (I assume the reason Zack was included in BBS was because he was the main character of Crisis Core which was also released on the PSP.) Zack and Genesis both had a dream of "becoming heroes", making it appropriate for him to also appear at the Coliseum. The way I saw it, Zack left to pursue him. ...If anything, it makes me wonder if Genesis was supposed to make an appearance in KH. That character has such a weird history. lol The ending of Dirge of Cerberus featured Genesis reawakening, implying that there would be a sequel, and yet there never was. ........It would be SO weird if Genesis returned as a boss in the Coliseum in KH3.
-
It would feel kinda strange if they're not in the game. I understand Nomura's point, though -- the KH original characters are doing a fine job of sustaining the main plot by themselves now. And they even sort of feel like honorary FF characters to me because they were designed by Nomura himself, BUT... When I got into KH all the way back in the beginning, the FF characters were a big part of what gave KH a unique appeal. It was "Disney meets Final Fantasy". Still, I'm sure that there will be Final Fantasy characters in KH3 somewhere. Like you said, Sephiroth and Cloud seem obligatory. It felt like BBS was foreshadowing that Zack would return to the Coliseum -- except he would be an adult now, obviously. They probably wouldn't use the assets from FFVII Remake in KH3 like you're imagining, though. (Assuming that the KH team would have access to those at all.) The models of the Final Fantasy characters in KH always shared the same style as the KH original characters. The models in FFVII Remake have a more realistic appearance similar to Advent Children. I think it would just be kinda jarring, you know? If there are any new FF characters, Lightning seems like a strong possibility to me. She's one of Nomura's favorites. FFXV is a touchy subject for him, but SE could convince him to put Noctis in there somewhere, maybe. Other than that... I dunno. We might see the Restoration Committee again, but in a very reduced role.
