  1. He took her hand, pulling himself back up swiftly. "Guess we'll just grab our stuff then?" It felt strange being even this much apart. The feel of her lips still lingered.
  2. "I think you're right," Riku finished in a whisper. No one seemed to be around now, but he could only imagine what would happen if one of the instructors caught them or even one of their classmates. Pictures clearly traveled fast here.
  3. He felt sparks dance along his skin from her touch. How could a kiss do this? Was this how it felt to be in love? His heart hammered inside his chest so hard the sound was in his ears drowning out the soft tick of the clock above them.
  4. Riku melted into the kiss, feeling her lips meld with his. The sensation was paradise. Bringing a hand to cup her cheek, Riku deepened the kiss. He had little experience being a boyfriend, but he would do his best to make sure Light was happy. She deserved only the best.
  5. "Of course," Riku said lowly. In truth, he never wanted to be apart. There boy realized it wasn't realistic and maybe even strange given the amount of time they've known one another, but there was something about her--something that made him feel whole. Like, until he had met her, there had been something missing that even he didn't realize he needed.
  6. Riku closed his eyes when their foreheads touched, breathing her in. He wanted to remember everything about this moment. The sound of her heartbeat, the taste of her lips, the feel of her hair against his skin...He didn't, couldn't forget a single detail.
  7. "It's a promise," Riku answered, his own smirk still intact. He was happy she didn't expect someone with Sora's tendencies. Riku had tried long enough to be something he wasn't. With Light, he simply just wanted to be.
  8. "Heh, well, I guess I can't say I'm the gentleman Sora is either," Riku confessed with a small smirk of his own. Sora definitely played into the more heroic type gentleman. Riku, of course, didn't mistreat women, but he was more aloof than his best friend. I wonder how long it'll take for the idiots around campus to get the picture. Riku thought to himself; his thoughts strayed to Chase and his goons particularly. If they knew Light was his girlfriend now (officially), they'd probably have enough sense to lay off.
  9. "I was...in the past," Riku confessed, "but now, I have eyes for only one lady." The line was cheesy, and Riku knew it, but the words left his lips before he could even stop them. Not that they weren't untrue. He did only have eyes for her now. He gave her a light squeeze. Things had changed between them now, but in a good way.
  10. "You're welcome...but um...now what?" He asked with a laugh of his own. What did they do now? Go on more dates he supposed? Walk around holding hands? This was all new territory for Riku.
  11. Riku brushed her bangs back and pressed a kiss to her forehead. "Well, you deserve to be told because it's true. You're beautiful, Light." And she was, on the inside and out.
  12. He tilted his head at her cutely. "For what?" He wasn't quite sure what she would be thanking him for, but at her confirmation, his eyes softened. She wanted to be with him too...? His heart soared and a goofy grin spread across his lips. "So, I guess that means you're my girlfriend now, huh?"
  13. He savored the kiss before moving hand to rest at her waist. "What? It's true." It saddened him that she seemed surprised by his declaration. Hadn't anyone called her beautiful before?
  14. "Since...the festival," he confessed, "though...I've always been drawn to you. Even at the party--I wanted to know you. You were strong, brave, and beautiful. You still are." He didn't know how he would express his feelings. There didn't seem to be words that would properly express how amazing she was.
  15. When they finally pulled away to catch their breath, Riku leaned his forehead against hers. His voice was soft and gentle. "So, does this mean...you want to be together too?" He was confident from her response, but at the same time there was still lingering uncertainty there too.
  16. He pulled her into another kiss, lips molding against hers fervently. He moved his other hand, the one that hadn't been at his side, to the back of her head; her pink tendrils fell between his fingers like silk. Riku, the boy who had locked his heart away for so many years, felt the lock fall and his emotions pour. This girl, Lightning...she really was amazing.
  17. Touching the side of her face, Riku leaned closer again. His breath fanned across her face and his nose skimmed hers. "Good or bad?" Riku could feel his own heart, which had been beating fast from their sparring, thundering harder against his chest. Would she reject him...?
  18. "I surprised you, huh?" He asked with a twinkle in his tropical colored eyes. He would surprise her again then. Before she could answer, Riku pulled himself back up and met her lips with a quick, fiery kiss.
  19. "I thought we were equals," he teased back and wiggled his eyebrows. If she had met him back on the islands, the answer would have been vastly different, but this Riku, the one who had faced his darkness, wasn't soaked in his own pride.
  20. Riku felt the wind knocked out of him the moment he hit the floor with a loud thud. Lightning's smirk made him growl, but his own smirk was still on his lips. "I'd say you have me now," he replied huskily. She really was a warrior.
  21. He pulled her closer and turned her towards him. "Nope." Her gaze was fierce, filled with that blue electricity that he loved. Even fighting him, she was beautiful. Sexy even.
  22. "I think I should be asking you that," he shot back with a cocky grin. He feinted once towards her before lunging agilely to the right and grabbing onto her wrist.
  23. "Heh, thanks," Naminé said nervously. She really was excited to be with him, but there was also a tension buzzing between them that she didn't know what to do with unless she just kissed him. "I can do that," Riku agreed and started towards the set of exercise equipment. Most of them were empty by now, so they would have their pick.
  24. Naminé frowned a little at the word 'buddy,' but forced her lips to curve into a smile despite the small pang in her chest. He likes you. Remember that, Naminé. No one just 'admires' their buddy. "Okay! Yeah, let's go!" Naminé pumped one of her fists in the air. When Riku stopped, he was in front of Lightning. The distance between them crackled with energy, and Riku felt a tangle of words trapped behind his lips. He wanted to confess. She was right there. In front of him. "Wanna hit the weights?" Riku offered coolly. Mentally, he slapped himself. You stormed all the way over here to work out? Ugh.
  25. Riku scratched the back of his head. "Yeah, heh, I will. Good luck." Riku started back towards Lightning, squaring his shoulders and releasing a long breath to dispel his nerves. He could do this. He would do this. No more waiting. "Roxas," Naminé greeted brightly, seeing her companion again, "Ready to work out a little more?" She wasn't sure what to do next for their relationship, but at least she knew she wanted it to change. That he wanted it to change.
