    Seeing Kairi acknowledge his gesture, Sora's trademark grin returned. He couldn't wait to see these designs! "It's time," Naminé whispered, sending Kairi a nod before schooling her features into something that she hoped came across as elegant and composed. Her heels clacked against the stage, but the sound was inaudible with the music, some upbeat pop song, blaring from the speakers overhead. The blonde tried not to look out into the audience too much, instead keeping her focus on the catwalk and her footing.

    Riku elbowed Sora and cocked his head towards the right corner of the stage. "I think I see Kairi." "R-Really?" Sora stuttered and snapped his head in the direction of the red head. Even from where he was sitting, Sora could tell his childhood friend was nervous. He waved subtly, hoping she'd see the gesture. Were Naminé and Lightning up next?

    Riku watched as the first girl stepped out. Her pantsuit was well tailor but the color was...questionable at best. "It looks like...vomit," Riku whispered to his companions, unable to find a nicer comparison to the hue of green. Did girls actually wear those kinds of colors? Sora grimaced. "I wonder if that was intentional or not?" He knew little of fashion, but Kairi had told him about some odd trends that somehow found themselves onto the runway.

    As expected, Sora punched Roxas's arm and shot the blond a glare. "No! You'll just have to wait and see." The idea of a kiss burned in his mind, however. A kiss would be nice...

    Sora huffed and crossed his arms. "Yeah, we probably won't see her until the very end." "I'm surprised you didn't bring her flowers," Riku commented, gesturing towards the countless other patrons armed with elegant bouquets of roses. Sora likely had something in mind, however. Riku didn't really believe his best friend to be that dense. "I brought something else," Sora replied. The weight of a thin silver pendant sat in his pocket. It was simple, but somehow fitting of Kairi with it's soft purple seashell. A reminder of home. The man who had sold it to Sora had insisted the brunet take it and give it to someone he cares about. I wonder why he picked me though...? He even gave me a deal too...

    "Mmm...I guess you got me there," Sora chuckled and raked a hand through his spikes. He just wished he could confess. Things would be much easier if he did. Or at least he hoped they would. She may not feel the same, and then what? "Looking for the girls?" Riku asked, plopping down on the chair beside Sora's. Thankfully, he wasn't late. I don't want to miss Light's big runway debut.

    Sora glanced at his other and nudged him playfully. "Waiting for Naminé?" Though, Sora would be lying if he said he wasn't searching for a certain red head right about now. She wouldn't be modeling, but the boy wanted to see her excitement, ease her anxiety.

    Naminé kept close to Lightning like a shadow. A few girls lined up after her, but none of them were recognizable. From out on the runway, Naminé heard an announcer's voice boom throughout the venue; a large auditorium with room for at least a thousand spectators. 'This is where they hold plays too I think.'

    Naminé nodded affirmatively. "I'm good, you, Lightning?" Mentally, Naminé just hoped she wouldn't end up falling flat on her face. She wasn't entirely used to her heels yet.

    "Of course!" Naminé chirped back, clasping her hands behind her back. Anything to help Kairi. The blonde then looked to Lightning with twinkling eyes. "I'm sure Riku won't be able to take his eyes off of you. Though, he hardly does now." Riku, she had noticed, has been especially affectionate to the pink haired girl since they became a couple.

    Naminé released a small, shaky breath but nodded. The dress Kairi had designed was gorgeous. It hugged her body perfectly and the material was sleek but comfortable. "I'm ready. A little nervous but kind of excited too...?" She wasn't sure what all she felt now.

    "Me too!" Naminé declared with a confident nod of the head. She'd do her best to contribute too. And maybe by then, we'll be a couple too... Naminé liked the idea of traveling with Roxas as her boyfriend.

    Sora looked at the two and tilted his head, thinking. What world would suit them best? "You guys should go to San Fransokyo. It was really cool there. A lot to see." The world also made Sora think of Roxas for some reason.

    "Hmm," Naminé pressed a finger to her lips thoughtfully, "we should go somewhere too. I'd really like to do some sight-seeing too I think." Naminé hadn't been to many worlds or at least not to any voluntarily. Except here and Twilight Town. It would be a nice change of pace for the blonde.

    Riku frowned at Kairi's expression. Maybe shouldn't have pushed the romance aspect of it, but he was sure something would happen between them at Corona. The atmosphere was perfect for the two of them. Sora tried to keep his voice stead as he answered. "I was hoping we'd leave right at the start of Christmas break. The festival starts the next day I think, so we'd have time to explore too. There's some really cool stuff that happens in the plaza too." He looked to Kairi again as he said this, offering a small smile. He really didn't want to blow it this time.

    Riku relented but released a few snickers as he saw Sora's deer-in-headlights expression. "Uh...um...I mean I guess it's kind of...romantic?" Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. Now Kairi will think that you don't want it to be romantic. Naminé cleared her throat. "Whatever the atmosphere, you two will have a lot of fun together. I've heard Corona is beautiful during that time of the year."

    "To see the floating lights!" Sora added in an excited burst. Rapunzel would probably host an even bigger celebration this year too with restored to her kingdom. It would be the perfect place for him and Kairi. Maybe he'd even be able to confess...? "That sounds awfully romantic to me," Riku said in a sing-song voice. Now that he had a girlfriend, he could really go all out on the teasing. Sora really just needs to confess.

    Riku shook his head but couldn't keep a serious expression. "You guys are the worst," he joked, "though, I can't say that I haven't made a few bets myself." He shot both Roxas and Sora a knowing look. Sora rubbed the back of his head sheepishly. "Heh, hopefully it's in our favor." He knew exactly what these 'bets' entailed, but Sora wasn't bothered. In fact, he was happy to have his best friend's support. Naminé didn't reply but her smile was back as was the light dust of blush on her cheeks. That must mean Riku was betting on her and Roxas...right? I hope so.

    "We'll have to figure out when our next break is, so we can make plans. I can get us good seats too," Sora said, his own voice rising with excitement. He couldn't contain himself anymore! Naminé's eyes flickered to Roxas briefly, her brow furrowing. Was that in response to the two of them...? Or something else? Riku arched at eyebrow at their exchange. "Don't tell me you two were taking bets on when we'd get together?" He believed it, sure, but it was still amusing to know even his friends had been taking bets.

    Sora grinned back at her. "Guess we're going to Corona," he said quietly. It made him happy to have won the bet. Finally, he would have the chance to take Kairi to see the floating lanterns! Riku rolled his eyes but swung his and Lightning's hands with a comfortable ease. "Yeah, yeah, you're one to talk." He knew this was coming, but he wouldn't not fight back. It simply wasn't in the boy's nature.

    The moment Riku and Lightning walked into the cafeteria with their finger intertwined, everyone stared. Including the couple's friends. Sora, who had been drinking a paopu smoothie, nearly choked on the pulp. "I-Is that Riku and Lightning...!?" Naminé looked up from her soup and cast a glance towards the new couple. Her smile was small but knowing. "I'm not too surprised. Those two were dating for a while?"

    "You deserve only the best," he insisted, tightening his grip on her hand. Light was special. He wanted her to see that too. Though, he was sure her past circumstances would be the obstacle to overcome in that regard. Mending her hurt. He could do that, right? Or at least help.

    "It's no problem, really. If you ever need anything, I'll be there for you. I promise." Riku's tone was resolute but gentle. A steady declaration of his feelings towards the pink haired girl beside him.

    He followed her without hesitation. "They're actually really comfortable," Riku replied, "and warm. Plus, I know my friends wouldn't mind sending out an extra pair." Though, he wasn't sure if he was ready for Mickey's teasing. The mouse king would likely want to meet Light too. Not that he opposed, but it may raise more questions. I'd like her to know everything one day.

    A blush decorated Riku's cheeks at the comment, but he tried schooling his expression back into something cool. "I can get you a pair if you like them so much." His current pair were a gift from the King and Queen who, he supposed, in some ways had become akin to family.
