Off the top of my head, I can say I actually kind of enjoy the trope of the character who is adamantly chasing after the protagonist. The character has some (typically) misguided views that the protagonist is a scummy criminal and needs to be brought to justice, but (usually) ends up seeing the wrong in their own stubborn ways by the end of the series. Examples include Inspector Javert from Les Miserables, Smoker from One Piece, Inspector Lunge from Monster, etc. Also a more silly version of the trope is Inspector Zenigata from Lupin the Third. The kind of trope I really dislike? The 'master' of a villain trope... I've only seen this example in anime/manga and will just list who I'm thinking of to help paint the picture: Babadi from Dragon Ball Z and Kira's father from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable. What makes this type of character so annoying? They sit on the sidelines and very annoyingly overreact to any danger (no matter how little it really is) to the villain. Kira's father is even more annoying, because he floats around in a picture, blabbering his mouth really loudly where the heroes should really be able to hear him, but no, he just floats away and comes back another episode. Also, I really don't care for protagonists who are just overpowered and... that's it. Like the protagonists from Seven Deadly Sins and Sword Art Online. I hate the SDS protagonist even more because he constantly gropes the female protagonist, but that's a complain for another topic, as it's not really a character issue, but a more overall issue.

If you could make your own game, what type of game would it be?
Harmonie replied to !4misettie's topic in Poll of the Week
I'd really want to direct a new life-simulator like The Sims. The series was a great idea, but has really lost its edge due to being developed by a greedy company. I would totally like some competition. -
How Old Were You When You First Played Kingdom Hearts?
Harmonie replied to Ventus_'s topic in Poll of the Week
I recall the year I first got Kingdom Hearts I being 2004. It had to have been before my birthday in December, so 15. Although I got stuck in Deep Jungle and didn't come back and beat that level and really progress into the game until maybe Spring of 2005, when I was 16.- 26 replies

Which Dearly Beloved version is your favorite?
Harmonie replied to KingdomHearts3's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
Kingdom Hearts II will probably always be my favorite. I really like Union Cross's Dearly Beloved, too, though. I think it's the oboe part overlaying the melody just giving it a very depressing vibe. Unchained is probably my least favorite. I don't know, perhaps I just heard it too much playing the game.- 8 replies

Definitely going to give this a listen. Always great to hear Kristin's oboe and English horn! She's actually the reason I play the oboe today!

Neat that they're bringing out Star Fox 2, but I've never really gotten into that series and already own a SNES/can buy VC games on my Wii U. I just don't see any point to this for me.

I think these quests are so much better than the ones from the past two weeks. The bosses are back down to the level they were previously and aren't KOing party members left and right. Plus Classic Donald and Maleficent B medals are so good. Hope to roll Raid Boss damage 40% on one of my Classic Donalds and maybe one of the -60 Defenses on my other. And hopefully I can finally get rid of my Extra Attack on my Maleficent B. Of course... That's contingent on me getting those medals instead of Pooh Bears and Young Rikus. *sigh*
