  1. I played KH 1 when it first released, same with KH2 and 2.8, that's it. Well I did get the remasters for PS3 but I didn't feel it, nor playing anything at all really. I was at a time were I started to get my life straight and had other stuff going on, so they were played a few hours and sold. I always said I would get a PS4 when FF15 released and that's what I did, pure timing that the PRO released around that time. My PS4 really got me back into console gaming again, and in my late twenties I have rediscovered the joy of gaming- I'm like a child on Xmas when I go pick up a new game. I am excited to be playing KH again, remastered for PS4 no less. Excited for all the content I've yet to see, games movies and final mix content too. It will be interesting to have a different perspective now that I'm older, and probably absorbing more story material. Playing them together like this will give it more context as well. All in 60 fps, HD and with surround sound. Heck yes I'm excited I'll also play in release order, as they were made.
  2. I don't know, it's probably nothing against the actress herself or her ability, but Emma Watson puts me off. I think the reason is all I can see is Hermione, that's the drawback to using someone like that. Also not sure about her resemblance to Belle. This is one of those movies I was super hyped for, then it hit theaters and I just can't make myself go see it. The Beauty and the Beast is probably my favorite of Disney, and I grew up with those movies as my parents liked them. Me and my sister had an entire room of bookshelves with Disney movies. I think subconsciously I may think it won't live up to how I felt about the old movie, and maybe even tarnish that memory if it isn't that great. To me it was melancholic, romantic, scary, mysterious. As a sensitive kid it really affected me. For me things like that is what I love about good movies, games, etc, and I keep them in my memory/feeling bank.
  3. Impressions don't seem good. http://www.gamespot.com/videos/mass-effect-andromeda-our-early-impressions-the-lo/2300-6437710/ Despite your reasonable arguments for going for Andromeda it seems like it might actually be a disappointment. People who played the game while also being veterans of the franchise dislike it, that is a red flag. It also seems nearly MMO-like to me, a lot of things to get into, from character creation, skills, choices. I have a feeling it's gonna totally screw with my perfectionist mind- OCD overload. I'm also not done with Horizon and Andromeda is releasing sooner than I thought. With KH I'll have some more time. Funny enough when I started to think of getting Andromeda over KH I actually got kind of sad, and now I'm thinking Andromeda isn't worth it and I'll get to play KH after all, lol. Sure I won't get to talk about the game but if it's only like a 7/10 game anyway. A big game like this needs to be a great to really be worth the time investment in my opinion. According to these guys it's not and worse than it's previous installments, which doesn't make you think it'll be a great game. I don't know which is worse, being one of the people who buy it and gets disappointed, or be the one missing out if it's a great game.
  4. Usually I don't ask advice with should I get this should I watch that, I just check it out and I get my answer for myself, people can't speak for what you like. That said there are reasons I'm quite unsure of this one. First off getting both is not a possibility, there simply isn't time. One is, I'm pretty sure, a very time-consuming open-world game that you can play for a long time. The other is like a million games which is gonna last me rest of the year, as I'm a casual gamer. I'm also the kind of person that wants to focus on one thing at a time, ergo one game. I don't want to play both, and by the time I'm done with one the other won't be as relevant and there will be many other things I want to keep up with. Now obviously I'm a KH fan, and this is a KH forum, but try to be objective. I haven't played anything but KH 1 and 2 before, so the rest will be new for me and I really wanted to invest the time in KH that it deserves. However, Andromeda seems to be the next big thing and having finally gotten a PS4 (PRO) I wanted to branch out and try different games and see what next-gen has to offer, not just play MMOs and my favorite franchises (FF, KH) and old titles. I'm becoming a console gamer again age 28 and having a blast, I don't want to just grind the same titles "because OCD" or spend my days in an MMO. Playing KH feels sort of backwards, even if I didn't play them all. It's not what's relevant now. Also finally I have gotten a job and found people I can discuss my interests with, and many of them are gamers. Andromeda is what they're all getting, KH isn't even a thing. I'm not one to follow the crowd at all, I've always been a loner, but it feels good to share what I love for once. If I get KH I won't be able to talk about games for the rest of the year, as no one plays them. With FF XV and Horizon I got to talk about them, it feels sad to lose that now. If I get Andromeda I won't, if I get KH I will. Additionally I fear playing so much KH will become a grind, and I will play only to complete not for joy, which is what I promised to do after I quit MMOs and started to play for fun again, after I got my PS4 and rediscovered my young console days. Also Andromeda seems like it will be epic, and is a perfect follow-up to FF XV and Horizon, both open-world games, I really got a taste for it now. If it doesn't seem like a big thing that I won't be able to talk about games at work, realize that this is so to speak my only social life and the only way for me to connect with my co-workers. Now it may look like I'm pushing for Andromeda, but I really want you to make a case for either game. Not as a KH fan, but objectively. I'd appreciate any thoughts on the matter. Thanks in advance.
  5. Yeah it got a 10 from Gamespot too, of which I've been a member for 13 years and I've never seen a 10 (there are some not many). I'm not getting it though as I have always been a Playstation gamer and that's my thing, also having so much fun with Horizon. I'm curious how Andromeda will stand up to these games.
  6. It says GAME stores in Europe, not GameStop if to take it literally. Hopefully it goes for GameStop as well. A poster is so much better than a pin if you ask me, I didn't even know what to do with the pin it's in a drawer lol. It's weird though as with 2.8 Europe got the pin, at least GS. I wouldn't change my order just for a pre-order bonus though, I like sticking to GS it's my local store and there are benefits to membership. Also I see people talking about the pre-order bonus theme for 2.8, you do know you get a theme once you complete the game.
  7. I disagree with that, as this collection caters to people new to the franchise. Not a great first impression for them. Also it seems right out rude to expect me to buy games that have not been properly made. Way to shit on your fan base. Being okay with this is beyond wrong. And I'm usually not one to fuzz over small things, but this is not a small thing. A very simple principle: Don't sell a torn sweater saying it's a new sweater and expect me to go "Ah, it's no big thing, I can wear it right." That I can wear it is not the point.
  8. Too much spoilers on this site lately, I for one like to be surprised. Then again I don't have to read them. Then again I didn't.
  9. There is a lot of excitement, but games adapted to film/TV often aren't very good. If it ends up a mess it will have the opposite effect for the KH brand. That is why I'd say original story is the way to go- if they can do it right and not stray too far from the source material.
  10. Well I picked up Horizon: Zero Dawn today so while I'm excited for that next up will be 1.5/2.5 Remix. Ergo gonna be busy for some time playing through all of it. I've only played KH 1 and 2 previously. Other reasons why I'm excited for it; playing with 60 fps, HD graphics and 5.1 surround. Final mix versions, all the content that is new to me, understanding the story better now that I can play them all continually plus I'm older, and of course nostalgia.
  11. Ok even if it's just "darkness" said repeatedly I found this wildly hilarious. Watch the beginning of 0.2, Aqua says darkness like in every other sentence.
  12. This is amazing, around 3:05 is so damn powerful. Video was created by AirbagVII.
  13. Forgive my memory but isn't this pretty similar to the Sephiroth of Advent Children? Can't even remember the KH2 Seph, 11 years is a long time.
  14. I like it, it's clean and sleek. I don't want a spectacle for a cover, and it looks very typical of a cover just mashing characters together, and with the two covers combined looks tacky. I can see it being better for marketing purposes though.
  15. When did Limited Editions become nothing more than the game with a pin? Didn't Limited ED use to have lots of stuff, art book, ingame stuff etc.
  16. Honestly I can't remember the game well enough to say. I think above all I want a beautiful game as a whole. This is why they are taking their time, it's too important to mess up and they know that. They want to exceed their own standard I'm sure. We're talking about a 20 year old title, a classic and fan-favorite. Fans will expect perfection as well. The success of FF XV also means keeping up the quality on FF games is important for the future of the franchise. Luckily Square takes their time all else be damned.
  17. That makes sense. Yeah it'd be convenient if they put them in order of release. By the way is the length of CoM, DDD, BBS relative to KH 1 and KH2, or are they much smaller games?
  18. 9 is my favorite, then 7. VII was my first FF at the age of 10, now I am 28. My aunt worked in the gaming industry as an animator, and used to send me games she liked. I'm really glad she gave me this game or I may never have discovered them and been without some great times and memories. It's what got me into RPGs, and that led to KH later on.
