I'm finally back with another cover from Kingdom Hearts with my own original lyrics. I'm going to be doing a few more over the next week or so, but I decided to release Aqua's Theme first since it relates to the recent release of Kingdom Hearts 0.2 (part of KH 2.8). In my arrangement, I chose to remove the overlap between verses since I wasn't fond of how the lyrics sounded overlapped with each other. This was a bit of challenge to sing since the song is so slow and was never meant to be sung (RIP breath control), but I managed to make it work. Huge thanks to Aiyoku for drawing the picture of Aqua in the video. The wayfinder is an edited photo of a wayfinder I got at a convention! So I finally did another Kingdom Hearts song! Some of you may remember the last one I did a few months ago, Kairi's Theme! Between then and now, I've covered a bunch of songs, but this is my first KH cover since then. This was a bit of a challenge to record and film as #1 it was never meant to be sung, and #2 there's a lot of instrumental breaks written into it because it was never meant to be sung. I did my best with it though. On the lyrics for this, I was going for a progression through Roxas' story. It outlines from the day he was born as a nobody, through starting to become his own person and making friends, betrayal of the organization in search of answers, then finally returning to Sora to be a part of him as he was originally. So basically, KH Days through the exceptionally long KH2 intro but emphasizing on the sentiment some key points haha. In the future, I might go for commissioned art for covers like this instead simply because the video is so awkward to try to film for songs like this. I feel like video like this would be better suited for songs like j-pop/anime style covers and stuff (perhaps some Utada Hikaru stuff at some point). I've said this before, but Kingdom Hearts is my all time favorite video game, and I'm happy to be putting out another cover from it. I love this! I love how it tells so many different stories in one! The way the clips are synchronized have such emotional impact with the song... the Xion parts actually had me close to tears. Also I LOVE that you used the version of this song with Christina! <3 May that beautiful voice rest in peace!

I loved the storyline, I just hate the card system! Cards + realtime battle just don't seem to mix for me. I'd rather either have time to think of my strategies or just have something where I'm able to mash the attack button in moments of panic. I'd have been happier with a system like the one in KH Unchained X where you have time to plan your attacks if they REALLY had to go with the card system.

I'm 23 years old, and I've been a huge KH fan since I first discovered the game sometime in 2004 or 2005.In addition to playing Kingdom Hearts I'm also an online voice actor, which some people may know under my old screen name khcrazy10 (I picked it back then for obvious reasons). These days I mostly go by my actual name tho. I also sing cover songs on YouTube including a few KH tunes. Anyone who knows me could tell you just how much I love Kingdom Hearts, so I decided to do a vocal cover of Kairi's Theme with my own original lyrics! I renamed this version Destiny's Promise (Kairi's Theme), and it includes not only verses to the tune of Kairi's theme, but additional parts from Dearly Beloved mixed in between (also with my own original lyrics). it also changes things up a little from the repetitive tune of this song, and I'm happy with how that came out. All the sounds you hear in this were created and put together by me.
