How are you avoiding spoilers for 2.8?
Dustin Newton replied to The 13th Kenpachi's topic in Poll of the Week
i don't care about spoilers, but i'm also not really looking at anything KH related recently, mostly because i've been "No Life-ing" Warframe. Also i've seen more don't spoil then anything else honestly. -
Do We Really Need Drive Forms?
Dustin Newton replied to ReverofE's topic in Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind
unless they play an important role in getting through areas probably not. combat wise they have been and will be optional (unless they add a scripted moment). Frankly, right now it looks like osaka team doesn't know the meaning of the phrase balanced game play. I don't trust them to either. i'm not gonna say it's going to be a bad game. I'm hoping these forms are only tied to transformations. like there's a neutral transformation, with offensive, defensive and magic variants. KH2 was good but there was really no reason to go into drive, the abilities were basically irrelevant and i've only ever seen people defend drive (for vanilla KH2) because they needed to keep them from dying to a boss; looking cool is not a factor of usefulness -
KHUX Newbie Question #3: Medal Pool Management
Dustin Newton replied to Star Whale's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
1 upping your medal limit is good especially now with the new nova system, however prioritize getting your keyblade cost to 180-183 first. that way you aren't stuck not being able equip a full set of 6* 2 keep them. before i would have said sell them but guilt them and add them to your nova level. 3. upgrading stuff to 6 is always a plus. the extra damage is useful. a guilted (all the little circles filled with the symbol lit) medal should only be replaced by more useful medals. if you have a 1 star that is currently doing the damage you need keep it until you get something that surpasses it. Even support medals, the extra damage WILL be necessary eventually, the extra defense WILL help. -

My first setup is my 1 turn/hard hitter configuration. I use my second slot to find different combinations, grind skills or hold medals that i want to use but don't have cids for at the moment. my 3rd slot is if i need to make a temporary setup that to meet certain conditions like using 5 specials on raid eggs

What's your favorite opening movie?
Dustin Newton replied to keyslinger's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
2 is my favourite, followed by DDD. i'm not gonna take 0.2 into consideration yet since i count the scene that comes immediately as part of the intro too -
after bbs. after i beat khII i assumed that they would continue the pattern of 1 in between game 2 in between game. after i'd found out about the secret ending for kh2 i figured that i was right, since "it all began with birth by sleep" didn't really sound like a sequel to me. so after i beat BBS that christmas i was expecting 3 to come for the ps3

KH13 Pokemon Tournament Thread
Dustin Newton replied to Robbie the Wise's topic in General Discussion
no a league has an elimination phase, same as this tournament. after a certain point only the best records move forward. the major difference is that tournaments don't allow changes to teams or setups -

like a battling league. -
KH13 Pokemon Tournament Thread
Dustin Newton replied to Robbie the Wise's topic in General Discussion
we CAN do something about it, we stop calling it a tournament. it's not the people involved, it's the situation. A tournament somewhat implies competition for glory, when all we are really doing (or at least should be) is battling for fun. -
KH13 Pokemon Tournament Thread
Dustin Newton replied to Robbie the Wise's topic in General Discussion
if i were to be completely honest, this doesn't even feel like a tournament anymore. it's starting to feel like a battling league, similar to what a few youtubers do. it's dragged on a bit too long -

Video Who's the TRAITOR? (KHX SPOILER Theory)
Dustin Newton replied to Sportsmaster5's topic in Creative Media
It's likely that there isn't really a traitor (not saying there isn't, it's just possible). when you learn that something you don't like is going to happen, you become anxious. So in this case, it's likely that Ira simply said that there was a traitor among them out of pure stress and uncertainty which eventually caused more drama. Everyone wants to point to Luxu or MoM because they're easy targets and we don't know anything about them. however, a war was going to happen no matter what. Whether it was light against darkness or the unions fighting each other because of the stupidity of the foretellers (having teams with a bunch a kids with weapons is stupid, you are basically begging for there to be d*ck measuring contest) . If there's a traitor, he/she has something to do with the Master being gone (that's obvious) and it's not going to be so simple as "this character is a traitor because he's different", at least until we see more of what the story has to offer. if you've read, seen or heard detective or mystery stories, the culprit is rarely the suspicious character that the protagonist is wary of and is usually either someone we were lead to trust or a puppeteer hiding in the shadows. -
Are these "console upgrades" really a good thing?
Dustin Newton replied to Soravids's topic in General Discussion
people really misunderstand what's going on. the PS4 got remodeled and became more efficient, they didn't make anything exclusive for one or the other, if you want HDR it's coming to the original ps4 too. The upgraded peripherals will work on the original too, the only reason you should buy that ps4 is if you didn't already have one or your old one broke down. Pro is just more powerful. Excuse my language, but it was made for the tech wh*res of the PS community, the people who just have to be on the cunning edge. It would be different if sony made a product that was so different that developers would have to make games exclusively for Pro or standard. It's not a cash grab. it's if you need a new ps4, here's one that works more efficiently; or if you want a ps4 that consistently has better graphics here's one that does that. A cash grab would be: here's a new ps4, we have changed the system and new games will have to be played on it or you won't be able to play them at all. -
