  1. ah good point. I forgot that they were getting 2.8 slightly earlier. I guess the only way I can still support my prediction is that Nomura would do this to appease Japanese gamers since they (for once) aren't getting their own special game 6 months ahead of the rest of us. But news would travel fast, wed all know worldwide within hours of the release. But like I said, its doubtful, but hopeful. Please be excited
  2. First of all, hear me out. I know the likelihood of this is less than slim, its just something I thought of that would be cool. We all know 2.8 comes out in December. We also know that we will be getting KH3 news in winter, presumably, also December (to me at least). Coincidence? Good timing? I think not... Nomura has been very vocal that he wants people to cast aside KH3 for the time being and focus on 2.8. Its very important, please be excited. For marketing purposes? Perhaps, but I think in typical Nomura fashion he is withholding valuable information from us. What does this bring us to? Well... I am predicting that the news we will receive for KH3 will come in the form of a Secret Ending in 2.8 complete with a release window at the end. Picture this: Finishing 0.2 A Fragmentary Passage to find an awesome cinematic of something never before seen in KH3, much like secret endings of KH1 and KH2. After the cinematic writes "Worldwide December 2017!" (or whenever). That would be awesome. Like I said, just a thought, most likely won't happen. Enjoy 0.2. Please be excited
  3. has anyone gotten and tried the Illustrated Yuffie Medal yet? I want to know if it is worth the jewels
  4. Im happy to agree to disagree, that doesn't strike me as very direct but that's just my reaction to it, and may explain why some, such as myself, saw this quote in the Famitsu interview and thought "Wow. Awesome!" But even if it isn't exactly breaking news, it's still something interesting to talk about
  5. The problem with that, at least in my experience, is that I remember seeing that but I never saw that as a confirmation that Sora is going to be in 0.2. It seems more to me instead that this quote is setting the scene. Sora could very well just be off training and we dont see him until the start of KH3, but these events are happening in his absence. Not only that, but the way the question was posed in the interview makes it seem like this isn't as common of knowledge as you may think. Thats the way I understood it at least
  6. Greetings fellow Masters! I finally got around to reading the recent Nomura/Famitsu interview when something stuck out and seemed like a great talking point. Here's the question and response I am talking about: —Hm? So if you think we will have questions about where Sora is in KH3, does Sora appear in the story directly before it, KH0.2…? Nomura: Yeah (laughs). By the way, KH3's intro is short, and it begins straight away, but I am thinking very precisely about how to make sure both those who have been with the series for a long time and those for whom this will be the first KH title will be able to follow along. However, the details and particulars will be told in KH3D and KH0.2, so please play KH2.8 while you are waiting for KH3, it will make the flow of the story easy to grasp. For those who want to know everything in detail as they have up until now before the journey begins, I think it is best to play KH2.8 in preparation. Sounds to me like he's saying Sora is going to be in 0.2, which I think is pretty exciting! So my question is, if Sora is indeed in 0.2, in what capacity do you think he's going to appear? A Cutscene? Secret ending? Possible small playable fashion? Could Aqua be saved at the end of 0.2 and the 2 of them meet again? I have no idea how to even speculate. What do you guys think?
  7. does it matter how many orbs each medal already has before melding or does it have to be like it shows in the video?
  8. Maybe her quest could end in Destiny Islands right before it gets returned to the light, then we could see it be restored from a different perspective
  9. Noted, but I only mentioned it as an example as a way to get people to think outside of the realm of BBS. I would like to see Aqua experience a world or two that we may have experienced but not necessarily her
  10. I feel like Riku Replica isn't going to happen. I only see him as story arc for CoM. And I know somebody brought up Xion earlier as only being story arc for Days, but at least shes remained relevant. Riku Replica not so much. I feel like the Riku in the Black Coat in DDD was just a dream projection of Rikus darkness. I never had the thought that it might possibly be Riku Replica. In fact, it actually reminded me more of Jiminys Journal projection of itself taking the form of Riku in a Black Coat. I just don't see Nomura rehashing Riku Replica when there has literally been no mention of him since the end of CoM. If Riku Replica were a possibility, wouldn't it make more sense to make Vexen one of the Darknesses and then have him create a new, updated version of Riku Replica rather than using more time travel? Kinda sounds like 2 for the price of 1 to me
  11. Hey guys! So Nomura let us know that 0.2 BBS will feature multiple worlds that are fused together. My guess is it will be 3-4 worlds that we see, but for the sake of this thread, lets say 3. We know one will be Castle of Dreams, but what do you think about the other 2? Could it be Dwarf Woodlands and Enchanted Dominion? Or maybe something we explored with Sora like Deep Jungle or Wonderland? Perhaps they fell to darkness after KH1 and thats why we don't revisit them. Possibly new worlds we haven't seen? Possibly Daybreak Town? What do you guys think?
  12. I have put a lot of thought into this lately, and I think I have a pretty good one. I doubt it will happen but I think it would be kind of cool. Sora has just struck down Vanitas in one-on-one combat after Ventus, still weak from his decade long sleep, is put out of commission. Vanitas fades into darkness once again, this time laughing menacingly as if he feels that his work is still not done (Possible future main antagonist?). There are now only 3 Darknesses left (You can guess who). Sora rushes to Vens aid, but Ven is already being tended to by his besties Terra and Aqua. "We've got Ven", Terra proclaims, "You go after the others". "End this for all of us", Aqua says forcibly. Ven lets out a sigh "Sora, tha-" "Don't worry", Sora interrupts, "You can tell me later". The 3 old masters smile and sigh in relief, but their smiles quickly turn to faces of concern as their mysterious future has yet to unfold. Sora, now joined by 2 new party members, Riku and Kairi, give half-hearted smiles as they stare at the mountain they are about to ascend. Aqua casts Blizzaga, which creates a massive path to help our heroes ascend the massive cliff (I added this in after I saw the 0.2 trailer. Pretty neat, huh? It also doubles as a metaphor!) Now pan to another useless playable section where basically all you do is jump on the path and flow motion to the top (Nomura loves doing this, Ex. the 3 unnecessary steps to trigger a cut scene at the start of End of the World). Our 3 Heroes reach the top and see Xemnas and Ansem SoD standing guard while Master Xehanort stares off into the distance. "I have always been curious", Xehanort says calmly, "Curious about what will lie beyond the Keyblade War. So far, you have not disappointed. For a dull, ordinary boy you are." Xehanort slowly turns his head toward our Heroes. "You underestimate him", Says Riku smugly, "you have at every turn". "How can you still not see, (pause for dramatic effect) how special he really is!?" Kairi yells sternly. "Riku... Kairi..." Sora says sadly, in typical fashion. "Yeeeeeeeessss, special indeed" Xehanort says with a grin, turning back. "7 lights and 13 darknesses. 10 of my darnesses may have fallen, but rest assured things are still going according to plan. Their failures will mean my success, and you are powerless to stop me!" Xehanort calls forth his keyblade and the 3 foes prepare for battle. "Maybe you haven't heard", Sora says with confidence, calling forth his Key, "MY FRIENDS ARE MY POWER!" "Hmph, lets see how powerful you are" Xehanort screams, "When I exterminate them!" Que epic 3v3 battle. Xemnas and Ansem fall, Kairi becomes injured, Riku is about to be bested by Master Xehanort. MX makes a stabbing motion with his keyblade toward the chest of the nearly fallen Riku. Sora sprints to his best friends aid, throwing himself in from of Xehanorts thrusted blade. Its finally happened... Xehanort has finally successfully unlocked the darkness in Soras Heart. Xehanort sees he has finally succeeded, turning his keyblade on himself and taking over Soras body as his new vessel. Riku and Kairi are powerless to stop the process. A strong light flashes. "Sora!" Riku and Kairi yell in unison. But its too late... Their old friend no longer stands, and in his place... Soranort! Que the next boss battle, but with a twist. While controlling Soranort, your next bosses are... Riku and Kairi, tugging on the heart strings of every player who is in control. Your strength is too much for them, able to take them both down. Soranort turns his attention to Kairi, kneeling in exhaustion on the ground. Soranort raises his keyblade for one final blow, only to be deflected by Rikus Way to Dawn as the last second, a deflection in which Riku sacrifices his final bit of strength to attempt. Soranort laughs menacingly. "I told you he was powerless. Did you really think he was that special? You all risk your lives to save him, and he is nowhere to be found when you need aid. Ordinary indeed" Soranort says victoriously. "You're wrong" Riku replies, "I know he's still in there! Sora!". Soranort Freezes... "Submit!" Soranort yells, knowing full well there is an internal battle happening in his heart. Back to dive into the heart, where Sora began many of his journeys. (im not sure of the full dialog here but im sure it will be long and basically be a recap of Soras story). Time for the final battle. After a long struggle with Xehanort, Sora falls. He isnt strong enough. He sits on the floor out of breath and exhausted. Xehanort too is worn out, but he has the strength to carry on. Xehanort lifts his Keyblade up for one final blow, when he notices a light twinkle in the distance, as if a star has appeared. Shooting from this star is an object, which strikes Xehanort. Its the Rainfell. More stars appear, as Xehanort is continually struck down by Earthshaker, then Wayward Wind, then Oathkeeper and Oblivion, Then Bond of Flame, Then Star Seeker, Then Kingdom Key D, (Pause) Final blow made by Way to Dawn and Destiny's Embrace simultaneously. Xehanort fades into Darkness where he belongs. The shroud of darkness that covers soras lifeless body dissipates, and Sora opens his eyes to see his all his friends standing over him. Everyone celebrates. Hooray! "We did it" Sora celebrates "Come on" Riku says, "Let's go home" After much celebration and a long dialog sequence with everyone, there is a touching goodbye, with promises to meet again. They all go their separate ways. Where to you may ask? Twilight town, where Roxas, Xion and Lea are sitting atop the clock tower enjoying some sea salt ice cream. In walks none other than... Isa, who seems utterly defeated. The 3 give him an angry look, until Lea pulls out another ice cream and hands it to his old friend. The 4 sit atop the clock tower, eating their ice cream and staring off into the distance just like the old times. Namine smiles in the distance as she sketches the reunited friends. The newly reformed Land of Departure, Where Aqua, Terra and Ven are now Masters of the Land, sit in the 3 open chairs we see in BBS. Ven on the left, Aqua in the middle, Terra on the left, sit as they watch their 3 young Masters-to-be spar in the Great Hall, the 3 of them nearly the spitting image of their Masters. The more uptight of the 3 new wielders, when bested by his younger cohort, sparks a little darkness out of his hand. Aqua jumps to attention, but just as she begins to stand, Master Terra raises his hand toward her and gets up himself, helping the child regain his form and telling the startled young wielder that everything will be ok. "Light and Darkness will be around, just be sure not to lose sight of your light". The young trainee smiles and nods, and Terra returns the smile, while looking up at the mantle where the Master's Defender hangs. The 3 Masters share a smile. Disney Castle, during a celebratory event that shows Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Pluto, Yen Sid and the 7 Princesses of Heart. There is much rejoicing and good times are had, but they are upset that their heroes were unable to attend, but they know more adventures are to be had. Where are our Heroes you may be asking. Well I'm sure its quite obvious... Radiant Garden. I bet you thought I was gonna say Destiny Islands, right? No, this time they take refuge in the fully restored Radiant Garden with Leon, Yuffie, Aerith, Cid and Merlin. Sora, Riku and Kairi are all sitting on a wall in the square, very reminiscent of the tree on the islands. "Oh, I've got something" Sora exclaims. Sora pulls out a Paopu Fruit and shows it to his friends. "Who are you going to share it with?" Kairi asks. "Yeah, c'mon Sora, Choose!" Riku jokes. After no thought, Sora breaks the fruit into 3 pieces, and he and his friends chow down on the star, their lives forever connected to one another. (Credits, accompanied by yet another amazing Utada Hikaru theme) Secret ending, Labeled "Second Chances" Vanitas is shown covered in darnkess, visibly angry and ready to submit. A strange green fire emerges with a familiar face dissipating the darkness that surrounds our foe. "13 of you couldn't beat that boy? Pathetic", Maleficent says in typical Maleficent manner. "He got lucky", Vanitas says, lifting himself off of the ground. "Still, I recall him knocking you around a time or two!" "Insolent Fool! How dare you speak to me in such a way!" Maleficent yells "Bring it on you old bag", Vanitas says calmly "Silence!". A Mysterious voice shouts from the distance. "Isn't there someone else you should be fighting? Luckily, I know how to beat them". A Mysterious Book appears on an alter between the two foes. "A book of Prophecy" Maleficent says in excitement. "Yes", the voice confirms, "But this one is different. This one tells of events after your defeat" "How do we know we can trust you?" Vanitas asks. "Because..." The voice replies as a door slowly opens and fills the area with light, screen fading to black... "I wrote it" Kind of long I know, but the OP did say 60 min! Thank you if you read the whole thing, im sure many of you would disagree with this, but I had fun writing it regardless. This kind of makes me want to get into writing more fan fiction, this was fun! Anyhoo, hope you enjoyed. I cant wait for this game to come out so our questions will be answered!
  13. yea i like to fuse them asap so that it frees up medal slots what is guilt though? I think they explain it around event 350 (im only at 314) but is that extra special attack from melding after you fill up all 5 orbs on a 6*?
  14. you can fuse the 3 stars together, then evolve the one new medal to 4 star. When you fuse the previously melded medal with a non fused medal, it will add 2 dots to the upgrade
  15. like i said that was just my interpretation. Im not sure exactly why because they dont really talk about it, but you could be right too
  16. it was part of Yen Sids magic. It doesn't really explain further but my interpretation of it is that he made them look younger so they could toss away their "self taught" mastery and pre-conceived notions and start over anew, learning how to be masters from scratch
  17. technically, for most of us, twice But seriously, focus on KH3. Id rather have that be the only focus now that we're done with all these remixes and XV is coming out
  18. I honestly didn't think his model looked that bad, but if while I'm being honest, when I first saw his face, I knew that there would be people who thought it looked terrible. Theres many things to consider here. 1. It's a demo, not the final product 2. I didn't see it in person, but I'd be willing to bet that it looks a heck of a lot better in person than it does on someone's phone 3. Nomura stated in an interview that they basically had to go to hell and back to find balance with the lighting since it is something they haven't done before 4. And I see this as the most important... This is a new look for us. Throughout the other games we have experienced essentially the same look with some minor upgrades. This is a HUGE upgrade in graphics and it's something we're just not used to yet. Many people hated Soras new look, and Mickeys, and Aquas. Just give it time. This is an unfinished product. Now lets all breathe, join hands, and sing a little Sanctuary!
  19. It's great to see more of Aquas story. There are a lot of questions that need to be answered about her time in the Realm of Darkness. However, this got me thinking, aren't there questions like this about Riku as well that could've used a little game like this to help explain? From the end of Re: CoM to the end of KH2, theres a lot of time that seems like it was kind of glossed over about what Riku was doing during this time. I know that we see some of it in Days, and the events of that year and change had been talked about, but wouldn't you all have liked to have had a game similar to 0.2: A Fragmentary Passage which went into more detail about what Riku had to go through in that time? I don't mean a whole new spin off game, just a small segment like 0.2. I feel like it was a bit of a missed opportunity and probably would have done well considering Riku is so popular EDIT: If you feel like the information they gave about Riku throughout the games is enough then that's fine, go ahead and say that. I'm just wondering if anyone would have liked to have seen a game like this sometime between BBS and Coded
  20. Im not afraid to say that Ive watched it 20+ times. Its incredible
  21. Lair? no. A giant Throne made up of many of the lifeless, discarded keblades that make up the Keyblade Graveyard? yes please
  22. time traveling or time bending, really sounds like splitting hairs. I should have said she is manipulating time, but its really beside the point
  23. I figured it would be a time travel mechanic because Aqua says "If only I made it in time" when the bridge crumbles, makes me figure you need the gears to turn back time so you can cross. But I could also be way off, wont know til december
  24. I totally understand your point, its important to not create a paradox or some sort of infinite loop, but the only thing I'm not quite following is the fact that the events are erased when you report back to your own time. Wouldn't that mean that Young Xehanort would have never been given time travel powers since that event would be erased once Xehanorts heart returned back to its original time? Or I may be way off base with this and for that I apologize, I just like to understand all perspectives.
