Diamond Select Toys has provided us with new pictures and information, that retailers will have tomorrow, regarding a Series 2 of their Kingdom Hearts Vinimates line of figures. The Series 1 of these vinyl figures included the characters Sora, Donald Duck, Goofy, Kingdom Hearts II Mickey Mouse, and the recently revealed Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Mickey Mouse. This Series 2 will include the characters Organization XIII Mickey (Mickey in his black coat), Pete, and Tron Sora (Sora in his Space Paranoids outfit). Each figure will cost $9.99 USD. I doubt it means anything for Kingdom Hearts. Kingdom Hearts has been around for 15 years and it’s only just now getting Pixar properties in it. So, I doubt 21st Century Fox properties will make it into KH any time soon. And Kingdom Hearts only has “Disney movies” in it. Just because Disney owns a movie or something doesn’t mean it’s a “Disney movie.” Disney owns many things such as ESPN, Lifetime, Touchstone Pictures, etc. None of the movies produced by those properties are considered by Disney to be “Disney movies” even though they’re owned by Disney. I feel like 21st Century Fox properties would fall under that same category. Star Wars movies and Marvel Studios movies are considered by Disney to be “Disney movies,” So, if anything, then those movies would make it into Kingdom Hearts long before 21st Century Fox properties.
