    In the past (like a couple months ago) I had a thoroughbred/warmblood cross named Celtic, he was an incredibly smart horse, he seemed almost sentient. He was a great all around horse, he could do elementary level dressage, and he could jump four foot fences at max. Melstrome is heavily based off of Celtic and the only difference between the two is that Melstrome is 18 hands tall, with a black and white overo color, while Celtic was 16 hands and gray (and Mel has a bit more sentient intelligence). I am incredibly pumped for Monster Hunter World next year! Hopefully those g'dang konchus won't return. Photo of Celtic.

    Fun fact; dressage actually dates back many hundreds of years ago. It was a skill used in war as well, allowing the horse to easily maneuver around the battlefield. I actually was considering showcasing this with Jynn and Melstrome, but due to time constraints and the fact that the target was Raiden, I couldn't bring myself to do it.

    Jeez. First Texas had Hurricane Harvey, now we Floridians might get Hurricane Irma. Absolutely no chill this hurricane season huh? Anyways, I'll try to post the next two days. WiFi is acting up again.

    Jynn Venas-Front Flank VS Raiden Lord Raiden did not react the way Jynn thought. Instead, he moves to the prince's side and fires a powerful bolt towards Jynn. Quite considerate, my Leviathan could use some charging. He quickly plants the Waking Leviathan into the ground, directly in the path of the attack, while Jynn quickly jumps out of the way. The sword absorbs the energy from the bolt, and then shoots the bolt back at Raiden. Jynn calls back the Leviathan. The attack was so powerful, it fully charged the blade with the crystal eye on the hilt glows an electric blue. The dark orbs protecting him fade away. He activates the Leviathan's power, with the blade igniting. It can now cut almost anything it touches, so any mistake Raiden makes will be severely punished. Dawson-Front flank, forfeiting After Dawson takes out one last soldier, he rests his axe on the ground and he suddenly kneels in exhaustion. This battle was taking a toll on him, and he is almost at his breaking point. After Arthur, his skills became rusty after each enemy, and he has been punished with a lot of bruising. He starts to rethink the battle. "W.......... what exactly is the point of winning this war? Even if we succeed, we've created an enemy, and one day, war would be endless.......... No. I cannot side with the enemy, but I can't be on Shiva's side either." He collapses onto the ground. "I guess this is where it all ends........... Forgive me Jynn. I have failed you......." A random soldier emits a battle cry towards Dawson and begins to run up to the exhausted palico with his blade raised. Dawson closes his eyes and prepares for his inevitable death, or so it seems. Just before the man swings his sword, a large creature sends the soldier flying sideways. It was Melstrome. Dawson quickly realizes and tries to catch the horse's attention. "Mel. Get me out of here." After Dawson climbed on Mel's back, they both took off to the air before anyone noticed. While in the air, Dawson notices the duel between Jynn and Raiden. "Mel, look. Jynn' going mono-a-mono with Raiden. Stay around this area, but don't let anyone see you." Heeding the palico's words, Mel takes cover in the clouds, hidden from view, but not too much where Dawson can't see the battle.

    I am posting tonight. Sorry, I was out and about the last two days, so I haven't had time to finish Jynn's post. It WILL be finished tonight.

    Jynn Venas-Front flank VS Raiden Raiden finally raises his sword from the ground, and begins to spin it with incredible speed. This doesn't intimidate Jynn at the least, but it does make him more aware of Raiden's movements. A sword that can lessen it's weight........ interesting....... He grabs his levitating sword by the hilt. Although Raiden may be powerful, even more so than Jynn, he would be a fool to underestimate the prince, as the noble is smart and cunning. This is proved by Jynn's first action. He hurls the Waking Leviathan (see spoiler below) at him. But that was not all, he knew that Raiden might take the bait and close the gap between them, so he creates four dark red orbs with his other blade, La Justicère. The orbs begin to orbit him, protecting him from anyone trying to get too close. It would be impossible to get within sword's length without sustaining damage. But the prince knows that this effect won't last for long, so he uses this short time to study Raiden's movements carefully. Regardless if the Waking Leviathan strikes Raiden or not, it returns to Jynn's left hand. He could not do such tricks with La Justicère, as it was not magically bound to him like the other blade is, so he makes sure he has a firm grip on its hilt. So many things can go wrong in this battle, but Jynn remains calm and focused, he truly has no fear, especially of Raiden.

    Dawson-Front flank Dawson watches as Arthur continues his fight, leaving Dawson with some reassuring words. He couldn't help but chuckle. "Well...... I'll be there for the prince as much as I can man.........." Just then, a random heavyweight soldier tries to jump on the palico in an attempt to crush him. Dawson's claws jut out of his paw, and he simultaneously slides out of the way, while also slashing the soldier's face. The man lands with a thud and let out a yell in pain. "OW! That hurt!" Dawson sighed. "Really, a little scratch hurts you? Why are you even here then?" The soldier faces Dawson with three large gashes on his face. "I...... I was forced to!" The palico rolls his eyes. "That makes both of us....." He then turns his axe sideways and hits the man's face with it like a golf club, rendering the soldier unconscious. He too continues on with his own fight.

    Jynn Venas-Front flank VS Raiden What Raiden says makes the prince think about something. Raiden and the humans think that this barrier is what is causing those who reside in the world below. But what if it was something else? He looks back to the leader of Mystras. "You know, I've been thinking lately........ do you really think the barrier itself is what is causing the suffering of the world below and the humans? I think it's that my mother refuses to help or provide resources to them that is causing them to suffer, not the barrier. A barrier is just meant to prevent unwanted intruders in both worlds, and CLEARLY there are paths that can bypass it, proven by the humans that ally with you now, and the three young feys captured by the humans. So your arguments of this barrier causing the suffering of those in the world below us is technically invalid." He gives Raiden a stern look. "I think what you're supposed to be looking for is my mother's support for the humans, but you know that she never will." After Raiden insists that Jynn, Shiva, and their army leave, the prince raises an eyebrow, but he preforms a quite honest looking bow. "I would gladly arrange a surrender with my mother............... But........." He raises himself back up and calls fourth his second sword in his left hand, while the first awakens the ancient power of the dragon it was forged from. ".... I can't risk you possibly trying to stab us in the back if we do, now can I?" His second sword begins to levitate and spin in front of the prince with the first behind him (in a stance exactly like Master Form Sora's).

    Dawson-Front flank calling a truce with Arthur Dawson was astonished to hear that Arthur doesn't see Jynn as an enemy. The human then asked for a truce between the two. Dawson paused. A truce? He then remembers his comment to not harm Arthur should the human not attack him. "I promised that no harm will come to you if you leave me be........." He paused, looking at the ground. He then looks back up to Arthur. "Very well. I accept your logic. We may not be on the same side, but we have a common enemy, and one I cannot deal with."

    I'll try my absolute hardest to post for Dawson today. I've been busy lately, so I haven't had time to complete his post, and I'm having problems with my WiFi today.

    Dawson-Front flank VS Arthur Dawson was becoming furious at Arthur's assumptions. "I don't follow HER orders! I follow her son's, Prince Jynn, my best friend, and all I have left! He saved me from her wrath, and I owe him my life! Shiva means NOTHING to me! I will never forgive her for what she's done to my people!" The palico raised his axe, ready for Arthur's attacks. "My race is too endangered to recover effectively, so I don't care about Shiva's recognition! I want what's best for my friend! I want him to succeed, but his mother is in the way, making it harder for him to achieve his wishes; to stop this racial hatred towards my kind, yours, and many others!" His grip tightens. "I guess you could say he's like family to me........" He then faces back to Arthur. The soldier reminds the palico that he will fight for his own people. Dawson was unable to think of what he was fighting for other than Jynn. Was he fighting for his own people too? He was unsure of what to say. "I may not have much left to fight for, but I will fight 'till the bitter end!" Arthur then tries a tricky attack, but due to Dawson's small size, Dawson instead gets pummeled in the face by the shield, sending him flying backwards with his hind legs leaving the ground right before Arthur's blade would've slashed them. A bit of his back left paw pad was cut, but this was not an issue because he stands on his toes. But he does hold in a shriek from the pain. He lands with a hard thud. "Welp. One life wasted, eight to go." He gets back up quickly with his axe in his paw.

    Jynn Venas-Kilkes Seres, Front flank with Raiden As soon as Raiden turned his attention to Jynn, the prince raised his sword. But Raiden jabbed his in the ground. What? What's going on? Jynn tries to get an answer, but still remains on guard, reading Raiden's movements. "What's with this reluctance? I'm sure it's not like you to not attack immediately. What's the issue?" Suddenly, a random soldier tries to to attack the prince. "Don't worry my lord! I'll protect you!" But Jynn blocks the man's attack, and trips him. Jynn then grabs a hold of his leg, and then hurls him at a group of soldiers, knocking them down with some of them unconscious. The prince faces back to Raiden. "I'm sorry, where were we?" He waits for a response, but remains on high alert. Dawson-Kilkes Seres, Front flank VS Arthur Dawson prepared himself for Arthur's attack. Even though he got hit by Arthur's shield, Dawson managed to duck to dodge the incoming sword, but it left a large scratch on the back of his armor. Dawson quickly uses his claws to try to swipe his face. Whether or not he succeeds, he catapults off of Arthur's chest to create a gap between the two. He then replies to the human's statement. "My "queen"? MY "QUEEN"?! I'm not in this ridiculous war for Shiva's equally ridiculous politics! Even though I respect her for sparing me, she is not my queen, nor do I care for her ideals." He regains his footing. "And you humans are completely naive, aren't you? You are completely oblivious to the fact that your race has it easy compared to some others, like mine. My race, except me, is forbidden to step foot within the capital, we are slaughtered for disgusting practices during October, have no homes, are easy pickings for monsters, and our numbers dwindle EVERY DAY! My race is almost extinct!......... AND YOU HUMANS THINK YOU'RE GETTING THE SHORT END OF THE STICK?!" He then reaches for two boomerangs and coats them with an explosive powder. "At least you have a family you can go back to, while I have lost mine, and I have to suffer on my own!" He spits on the ground in anger. "Why am I even telling you this? It's not like you care, because you humans are apparently mindless, stupid, emotionless, selfish monsters!" He then hurls the weapons at an alarming rate, with the powder ready to explode upon impact with Arthur or the ground.

    Dawson-Kilkes Seres, Front flank VS Aurthur As Dawson continues to fight, he hears the sound of cackling coming from behind him. As he looks, a soldier, Aurthur, was leaping towards him with his sword raised high. Dawson's forceful reaction causes him to change his armor, materializing into one with high electric resistance, while blocking the incoming attack at the same time with his axe. He starts to mock the soldier. "Well, looks like someone has no guts to face someone else head-on." He then attempts to push Aurthur backwards, while he creates a gap between the two, and extends the razor sharp claws on his left paw. "Move on kid, killing is not something on my mind. Save yourself so I won't have to claw your face off."

    Can't guarantee Jynn will lose a limb (especially since he can't recover a hand since the story doesn't take place in a technologically advanced setting), but he might get injured in some way. Dunno, we'll see how it plays out.

    Jynn Venas and Dawson-Kilkes Seres-Front Flank Jynn, Mel, and Dawson are nearing Raiden's location. A lot of fellow soldiers have caught up to the trio, and began an attempt to penetrate the opposing flank. Jynn slows Mel to a canter to allow Dawson to jump off. "Alright! Get out there and put Raiden in his place!" He then calls out his armor and axe, and fights alongside the soldiers to draw their attention. Jynn then leaps off of Mel with his sword drawn, and begins charging deeper in the flank. Many opposing soldiers trembled in fear of his presence. Anyone who knew Jynn from the last war at least knows that he is no joke in battle. But four soldiers manage to build up their courage to face the fearless prince. "Stop right there prince!" They all draw their swords. Jynn simply electrocutes them by their metallic armor, but does not use a lethal dose, instead, he leaves them temporarily paralyzed. He then makes a final leap to reach Raiden. As he lands he immediately notices the leader. This is it. Should Jynn manage to defeat him, this will all be over. He then calls out to Raiden, with a powerful yell, but does not move or attack. "RAIDEN!" The soldiers around Jynn were quiet, waiting to see what Raiden would do. Dawson was then attacked by two soldiers, but with his small size, he dodged them with ease. As he lands on his hind legs, the warriors threaten him. "Surrender now cat, and prehaps his lordship shall be merciful!" But the palico hisses and brings out a large and razor sharp boomerang. He then coats it with explosive powder. "I live for the simple things; like how much this is going to hurt." He then flings it at their feet, with the powder rapidly heating up and exploding upon impact to the ground. The two soldiers are flung back, and severely burned, but alive. Dawson taunts them. "Yea. Hehe. Burn on fellas." He then continues onward. (Now Aurthur can attack Dawson without trouble.)

    I could have Melstrome harness the power of the wind, but I'm a little bit troubled by this idea due to his importance to Jynn's story.

    I don't mean to be rude or anything Stardust, but Dawson is on the horse with Jynn, so attacking Dawson will definitely draw unwanted attention to Aurthur.

    Jynn Venas and Dawson-Front Flank Jynn and Dawson ride by Helios, who is now a Manticore, with Jynn acknowledging the young fey's attempts. "Good work Helios! Keep it up!" As he gallops by, Mel knocks some of Helios's enemies out of the way, and leaves them to the boy. As the trio continue forwards, a random horse mounted soldier riding up to Jynn with the side of the animal facing the prince and Dawson, and the soldier's sword raised to strike. Jynn immediately unsheathes his sword and enters a bladelock with the soldier. Mel's size made it a rather awkward bladelock, with Jynn having to lean down to reach the soldier. The man begins to torment the noble. "Nice horse you got there! I'm sure Lord Raiden would love to own it!" Jynn rolls his eyes and retaliates. "Seems you have forgotten who's on a smaller horse." The enemy raises an eyebrow. "What the hell are you talking about?" Jynn then raises his boot out of his stirrup and kicks the soldier's face, causing the bladelock to end. He then commands Mel to knock the other horse down with a powerful swing with his neck, knocking the soldier out once he lands on the ground, with his armor saving him from the horse's weight. Jynn then gets Melstrome to continue on. Dawson then playfully calls out the soldier. "Haha! He got you GOOD!"

    Jynn Venas and Dawson-Front Flank Jynn and Dawson took a few moments to observe the fight, with Dawson laying between Mel's ears with a spyglass to get a better view of activity beyond. Helios and Elia seemed to be holding up on their own quite well. Dawson lowered his spyglass and crawls back to Jynn's shoulder. "Alright pretty boy, we need to get to Raiden, his capture will most likely end this fight, and you will be seen as the hero, so, we need to go around Knucklehead's defenses. I'll hop off when we get closer, and draw attention away from you. You ride along the sides of the battlefield, take out his defenses and work your way to Raiden. Now, I must warn you that even though I'll assist you, not everyone will fall for my bait. But knowing you, I think you'll be just fine. Are you ready?" Jynn pauses and gives it some thought. But then he readies his game face. "I'm ready. Let's go." He then gives Mel a squeeze to push forward. He almost immediately goes into a full gallop. A few soldiers run up to the trio and attempt to attack. Jynn fires an electric projectile at two, and Dawson hurls a small bomb at the others.
