Endless Thundaga

This is part 1 of the battle between Jynn, Dawson, Typhon, and Meksis against Nergal. Green texts are posts by Kunivas, navy for Scrap, and blue for me. Typhon stood silent as Meksis greeted himself. "Call me Typhon." He spoke as soon after he began to smell something...a smell most particular...a smell he didn't reconigze, and one that didn't seem tasty at all. Soon after Jynn Typhoon turned around, even though he had spotted the man through his sonars before he even turned around. Still, play along. The guard was dead, that was a bummer, maybe his armor was edible later. Typhon folded his arms as Jynn readied himself for combat and sent Bherna to safety. With Jeremy to look after her. Typhon stepped forward and placed a hand on Jynn's shoulder, and looked at him, tilting his head slighty as it to say 'On my move.' As Typhon dashed towards Nergal, speed so fast the wind air behind him bursted for a second For a fraction of a second Typhon was a blur, he did this not with magic, but with pure speed. ending up one arm of distance from Nergal. "Jesus christ, why are you so pale?" Typhon asked him, trying to distract. Before he dashed forward again, Trying to catch Nergal in an uppercut to the gut, this was mostly a ruse, he was baiting Nergal's reaction so Jynn could act accordingly. One hand free in the chance Nergal dodged to the side, he'd meet a nasty webbing of goo to slow him down ready to be shot out of Typhon's arm. As Typhon dashes towards Nergal, Jynn dashes to Nergal's location as well, quickly summoning the Leviathan and unsheathing La Justiceré. The former blade surges with electricity, while the latter awakens the power of it's slayed dragon. He locks on to Nergal's aura. Dawson hears the sound of Jynn taking off, and notices that both he and Typhon are targeting a shadowy figure. He is holding a dagger, which gives Dawson an indication that he was about to kill Jynn, the biggest target for any murderer. "Meksis look!" He calls fourth his armor, and a different weapon, a large bioluminescent club with explosive capabilities. "We need to help!" Dawson quickly tunnels his way to the action, popping out from behind Nergal. "Drop your weapon!" Nergal's patience grew thin, but he was taken aback by Jynn's next action: He simply turned around. His back to him, a prime target indeed. "...This is too easy...surely?" Nergal noted internally, for it took him distracting the two from the shadows for Nergal to attack and kill the Queen...but how could he pass up the opportunity? Rationalizing his actions quickly, Nergal pounced, but he was met with a Cyph of all things, charging at him, along with the King himself. It was a trap. "Hmm. Good, more fun this way." Nergal spoke in his mind as he readied to fight. Typhon's remark was met with a snide smile from Nergal, but it was obscured by his metallic half-mask. Nergal swiftly dodged Typhons uppercut by simply leaning back and manifested a square energy barrier to block the Cyph's gooey stream of Webs, but he didn't pay any heed to Jynn, leaving him wide open to the King's wrath. He didn't need to wait for further action, as Dawson emerged behind him, weapon at the ready, ordering his surrender and the relinquishment of his weapon. Dispensing with his usual theatrics as best he could, Nergal wordlessly turns around, on the spot at surprising speeds and rushes Dawson, attempting to stab him in the shoulder. Meksis meanwhile, after reciprocating Typhon's reply and answering to Dawson's call to action, summoned a Scimitar, twirling it in his hand as he ran to the confrontation. As he closed in, he could already feel something was...wrong, with this Assassin. "Something wrong, Meksis?" "A hunch. And I hope it's wrong..." As soon as Nergal lunges at Dawson, the felyne was quick to back up, using the opening to bash Nergal with his club, should Nergal not move away, he would have explosive powder covering his body. Meanwhile, Jynn uses his chance to lash out at Nergal, hurling the Leviathan at Nergal as a distraction, while simultaneously lunging at Nergal with La Justiceré, slashing through Nergal's barrier, and attempts to slash Nergal across the chest. Regardless if the attempt connects, he jumps creates a gap. La Justiceré suddenly becomes imbued by a dark aura. Dawson had dodged Nergal's lunge and retaliated with a bash from his strange club. Nergal managed to duck under the strike, switching the dagger to his left hand and slashing at said weapon, intending to move it away, possibly damage it and knock Dawson off balance. His senses heightening from the excitement, Nergal was looking around his person almost frantically to keep an eye on all combatants, swiftly dodging the Leviathan but as his barrier shattered, Nergal was nigh-unprepared for Jynn's assault, only just deflecting his sword and switching his cursed dagger back to his right hand, making his move on the King, unrelentingly slashing and attempting to stab Jynn while moving forward in quick bursts toward him. Meksis had closed the distance, but he saw too many risks with attacking Nergal with Jynn in such close proximity, though he didn't hesitate, he was just biding his time, switching the Scimitar for a Crossbow, taking aim at Nergal and waiting for an opening. Dawson whiffs Nergal, resulting in the latter slashing at the club with tremendous force, causing Dawson to slide backwards a few feet. Some of the Bazelguese scales on his club were chipped off, but the weapon was still functional. Meanwhile, responding to the king's gap, Nergal closes in on Jynn with an onslaught of jabs. Jynn, using his deadly senses, manages to dodge each jab from Nergal's onslaught, almost seeming like everything was in slow motion in the king's eyes. He then catches Nergal's arm. Should Nergal keep trying to push the dagger towards Jynn's chest, Jynn would use his strength and grab Nergal's chest, hurling the assassin over his head, and then suplexing Nergal to the ground behind him. Jynn intentionally trips to make Nergal's slam much harder to the ground. He quickly gets back up allowing everyone to close in on the enemy, while preparing for Nergal's next move. He makes an attempt in interrogation. "Why are you trying to take my life?!" Nergal's rapid assault upon Jynn was completely, expertly dodged by the King, who clearly possessed enhanced senses beyond even his own, but his final, more aggressive thrust, was caught by Jynn who restrained his arm. Angered and still desiring to spill the blood of the King, Nergal persisted in his attack, pushing the blade further even just to scrape at his chest. However, this played right into Jynn's hands, who turned Nergal's force against him and combined with his own strength, hoisted Nergal above his head, completely blindsiding him. "Wha--? What are you--!?" Nergal could only say before Jynn suplexed him, his deliberate loss of footing made Nergal's impact harder, shaking him to his bones and disorienting him. Meksis could only watch, impressed at Jynn's abilities and his sheer gall, what with him throwing his would-be assassin around like he was nothing. Nergal was less than thrilled, quickly rolling over but taking a little longer to get back on his feet than usual, the suplex had left a mark. It was then that King Jynn demanded to know Nergal's motives. Remaining silent, Nergal prepared to attack again, forcing Meksis to fire a Crossbow bolt. Nergal offhandedly deflected the bolt with his dagger and went right for Jynn again, feigning a right to left slash and moving straight into an attempt to grab Jynn's arm and restrain him, where he would try to get the dagger and its cursed powers closer to his victim. "I follow through with my orders, your highness. That...and the pay is extraordinary..." Nergal spoke in a slightly deeper, gruffer voice, almost perfectly emulating the voice of an assassin he had met at least 500 years prior. He attempted to mask his true motive with that of a typical assassin, though he quickly doubted the story would fly. Jynn is a King after all, coin be damned, but he hoped that Jynn would notice this really. Typhon did not wait for Jynn to reply to Nergal's explanation, Nergal would find his attempt to grab at Jynn futile as his hand was quickly grabbed by Typhon, who had simply stepped beside them, Nergal would face a mighty struggle trying to keep his arm steady as Typhon's strenght could easily bend it and break it easily if the assassin didn't try to back off. "For an assassin you're pretty talkative" Typhon spoke, as he then attempted to slam his other hand, open palm onto Nergal's Chest to knock him back, but this was mostly a ruse, what he truly wished for was for Nergal to try to escape from the his grip and allow Typhon to use the momentum of his dodge to poke one of his pressure points located on his arm, should it work, Nergal would find his arm much stiffer than usual. otherwise if the palm strike had hit him he'd had aimed to hit a pressure point in his lungs that would make the assassin's breathing much harder, but not incapacitating in the least. An ancient technique of his village, if you can't beat someone by strenght and skill alone, your knowledge of their weakpoints would surely suffice, and considering Nergal had a mostly human body and appearance, odds are it'd work. "Plus no assassin would willingly fight outnumbered unless he was an idiot." Typhon mocked Nergal. Nergal wasn't able to get a reply from Jynn, for the Cyph, Typhon, had completely caught him off-guard and seemed to be attempting to break his arm in his efforts to prevent Nergal from slitting Jynn's throat. The strain was too much, never mind the pain, so Nergal relented but manage to dodge Typhon's palm strike, but played into his strike upon Nergal's pressure point in his arm perfectly. He knew it wouldn't last forever, but the attack had succeeded, with Nergal's arm feeling rather stiff and needing more effort than usual to flex it just to check the effects. "As are you. The Cyph are extinct, are they not? Besides, your lordship wanted me to tell him." Nergal retorted, looking at his dagger ponderously. "I'm afraid I've lied however. You've got a brain between your eyes, Cyph, coin wouldn't suffice for this sort of thing." He admitted, then he began to return his voice to normal and entered a more serious attitude, rotating the dagger in his hand so it was backhanded and threw it to the ground next to Typhon, its vile energies still coursing through. "As to your observation...an assassin would, if they were capable." Nergal then began to activate his full power over Nothingness, blue lightning-like energy began coursing around his fingers. "And I am capable." He uttered before crossing his arms in front of him, the power of Nothingness flowed over his body in the same form as before. Then he flexed outward, his arms to his sides and the lightning bursting around him, now the energy was completely concentrated around his hands. "Defend yourself." Nergal finally said before dashing toward Typhon, feigning a leftward direction and instead going to the right, summoning his Aerial Blades in a red flash and making an attempt to swat Typhon aside and rain several of said blades from his hand onto him as projectiles. While Typhon has his feud with Nergal, the assassin awakens his power of Nothingness. Seemingly in response, Jynn's senses suddenly expand, his powers darkening, and a blue aura surrounds him. It was his darkness again, but this time, he wasn't going insane. He looks at his hands in astonishment. I really can control it! He withdraws La Justiceré, and the Leviathan dematerializes. Two dark projections of electricity form on his hands. With this incredible power, he didn't even need his weapons. But he wanted Nergal alive, as the king has questions for him, so he plans a strategy to carefully subdue the assassin. As soon as Nergal awakens his powers, Dawson could only watch at the battle for now. We might need additional assistance. He quickly summons a gauntlet with a slinger attached to it. Quickly lighting a match and setting a ball of mesh of fire, he loads the slinger and aims it to the sky. The slinger fires the flame, and the mesh acts a flare, hoping someone might notice it and offer help. "Are you now." Typhon taunted Nergal's arrogance as the man said he was capable to taking them all on and win. He noticed Nergal throwing the dagger onto the ground near him as the man began to unleash whatever power he had. "Why are you feys so reliant on magic..." Typhon spoke crackling his knuckles. Nergal soon charged at him telling him to defend himself, and do that he would. Nergal's initial attack was successful in swatting Typhon to the side, Typhon braced for the blow by entering a mid crouch stance, in that stance he became a complete unmovable wall as Nergal's attack did make him flinch, however Typhon didn't even lose balance, he literaly slid to the side from the impact, his feet scratching the ground under them as he did. And while Nergal did that he began to rain aerial blades down on Typhon, Whom began to weave his way through them, like a professional boxer dodging a flurry of attacks, Typhon sidestepped, ducked, and weaved as Aerial blades came at him, some scratching his exoskeleton for negligible damage. During the flurry of blades Typhon extended his left arm's blade, and coated it in extremely flamable goo as he deflected an incoming aerial blade, rubbing the sword on it as it created the sparks necessary to ignite his armblade, he lunged to the side to avoid a few more blades as he aimed at Nergal's hand, and fired his armblade towards the man. Amidst the man's attack, he'd have to cease his offense to dodge the soon to be explosive shrapnel onto his chest. Meanwhile in the distance, someone took heed of Dawson's Flare...Reinforcements were coming.

Mystics, may I ask how much this time skip will be? Because after Jynn's encounter with Nergal, the squad will probably figure out that Shiva's death was a planned occurrence, so they'll probably be on the hunt for the schemer (Yevgeni). I'm not sure what Jynn and the gang will be up to during the time skip. Plus everyone would probably be aware of Jynn's presence, and probably some will change their loyalties. By the way, as of today, I found a job, and am officially a Disney Cast Member.

It will be.

No probs. Raising a child can take up a lot of time I'm sure. But currently, me, Scrap, and Kunivas are acting out the battle between Jynn, Dawson, Meksis, and Typhon against Nergal via PM, so we might need time. Maybe within the next week or so.

King Jynn, Dawson, and Bherna-Kilkes Seres Campsite with Typhon and Meksis Meksis unfortunately isn't aware of Yevgeni's exact location, but he knows that he did make a declamation earlier. Jynn rolls his eyes. Oh boy, bet he said some really dumb stuff.... Meksis offers to escort the new monarch to the campsite, as well as notifying him that it would be an honor to serve him. Jynn nods with a nice smile. "I'd deeply appreciate it Meksis. Lead the way." Dawson jumps off of Mel's head. "We need to search fast though." Typhon quickly greets himself as well. Jynn pauses. Someone is watching him at this exact moment. Unbeknownst to Nergal, Jynn is already aware of his presence. Thanks to the young monarch's deadly senses, Nergal's quiet and quick movements did not hide the vibrations he made, nor the aura he emits. Judging from the rapid movements Nergal made, Jynn already understands what is on the subject's mind. Jynn thinks to himself. Well, well, well. Did not expect someone to be stalking me this quickly. He faces Mel. "I want you to take Bherna high in the sky for a moment." The pegasus quickly obliges and takes to the air with Bherna. He also makes a request to Jeremy. "Can you keep an eye on her one quick second? Please?" Jynn pretends to show an opening. Every single muscle in his body is ready for combat. Make your move, murderer!

I honestly was not surprised that we got nothing for the anniversary.

Jynn Venas & Bherna-Kilkes Seres Jynn was soon greeted by a living armor, not Maxis, but the one who occupied the former that one day a few weeks back, Meksis. He offers Jynn a handshake, which the newly fledged king obliges. "Ah yes. I remember you a little. You didn't speak too much that day. It's good to see that you're well." At first, Jynn was cautious of him, since his mother's killer is still on the loose and he could be anyone, but since Meksis has ties to Maxis, Shiva's personal living armor, Jynn deems it unlikely that he would commit such a devilish crime. So he dismisses Meksis as suspicious. Jynn looks around. Where would Yevgeni be? It would be risky for Jynn's presence to go unnoticed to the regeant, as he is unpredictable and self absorbed. Jynn faces back to Meksis. "I'm sorry to be so hasty, but would you happen to know where Yevgeni is? And if so, may I ask you to lead me to him?"

Jynn Venas & Bherna-En route to Kilkes Seres campsite with Typhon Typhon was quick to elaborate what he meant, asking if his presence would bring trouble to him and Bherna. "Oh, my apologies. No. We should be fine." The bug man seemed surprised that Bherna was able to remember him, despite his new appearance. Jynn laughs. "Yea. She doesn't forget much. Especially moments like that time you saved her. She was also taught how to read auras as part of her training. On........" He was interrupted by Bherna. "One's aura doesn't change even if their appearance or personality does." Jynn pats her on the back. "Very good." Typhon then becomes curious about the contents of the book Bherna was holding. Jynn was hesitant to answer, but It'd be best to fill in Typhon about the situation. "The book contains information that can help me earn the human king's, Alderon's, trust. From what I've been told, his daughter is under a curse that causes her to be part beast. He came to the Overworld seeking a way to nullify the curse." Jynn sighs and places a hand on Bherna's shoulder. He didn't care how soft it made him look. "I probably would be traumatized too if that happened to Bherna......." A few minutes later, the three manage to arrive at the campsite, but not before sighting a familiar figure. Jynn immediately recognizes it. "Dawson!" Dawson-Kilkes Seres campsite, run in with Jynn, Bherna, and Typhon A few hundred feet away from the Kilkes Seres campsite, Dawson was returning from Jynn's hideout to offer any assistance. He grabs a horn to announce his presence and to pass on presumed news about the prince's refusal to help. He sounds the horn. It emitted a low pitch hum, but was loud enough for everyone on the Kilkes Seres side to hear. After sounding the horn, he draws closer to the campsite, but he is interrupted by the sound of flapping wings of Melstrome behind him. "Jynn?" Mel lands besides the felyne, with Jynn quickly dismounting. Dawson crosses his arms. "Well....... looks like someone had a change of heart. I'm not going to ask what brought you to your senses........" He glances at Bherna. Why is she here? This is a war zone, it's too dangerous for a tween to be here. Prehaps Jynn has a good reason. ".......... but I will ask why you brought Bherna here. Is there something I should know about?" Jynn puts his hands in his pockets. "There is............. Raiden is my father." Dawson's jaw drops like a rock. "Your father?! Raiden?!" Jynn tries to keep Dawson quiet. He didn't want anyone to notice while coming out of the camp. "Shh. Don't give it away!" There was a slight pause. Dawson was still suspicious. "That still doesn't answer as to why Bherna is here." Jynn quickly whispers the situation in his ear. Dawson nods with a "uh huh" with each sentence the prince finishes. Jynn backs away. Dawson processes what was said to him. "I see. So you're meeting the human king before Raiden, and his daughter is under a curse........ So you brought Bherna in an attempt to show the human king that you understand what it's like to be a father." Jynn nods. "Correct." The felyne sighs. "Look Jynn, it's a great plan, 'cept it sucks, in my opinion......... but I'll go along with it." He quickly climbs up on Jynn's shoulder. "After all..... we're best friends, right your highn..... er......... your majesty?" Jynn was unsure how to answer. "R...right." Shiva's owl locates Jynn and perches itself on his other shoulder. The new king retrieves the letter and two calling cards from the pouch and reads them. This was his cue.

Jynn Venas & Bherna-En route to Kilkes Seres with Typhon Typhon managed to climb aboard Mel's back before he took off. He asks if it was any trouble if he could hop aboard. Jynn shakes his head. "Not at all. But hang on tight." Mel takes a quick look at Typhon to see what he was doing. Unbeknownst to Jynn, Typhon was thinking about what would happen if he ate the horse. But Mel was able to see it in the bug man's eyes. In response, Mel pins his ears and let's out a threatening growl. He even pulls on the bit to show off his canines (yes, horses do in fact have canines, they show up in males only). Jynn was quick to notice this and gets Mel to stay focused by tugging on the bit. Typhon asks if Jynn was sure with having a cyph walk next to him due to the fact that cyphs are a wanted species. "I'll keep everyone under control. I'll make sure no harm comes to you." Typhon then redirects his attention to Bherna, wondering if she remembers him. "How can I forget you? You tried your best to keep me out of harms way during that fight. I'm ever so grateful!"

If I had to choose, I'd probably pick Helios as well. He feels incredibly realistic, relatable, and conveys a number of emotions. Shiva would probably be a very close second. She had a slightly fearful personality when it came to her duties asd a ruler, but she also had a soft and caring side when it came to those she treasured, especially Jynn and Maxis. Maxis is probably third on my list as I am a sucker for comedy. I love all these characters though.

Jynn Venas and Bherna-Heading out to the battlefield It appears everyone was set to go, and Jynn immediately retrieves Melstrome and throws Bherna aboard. He takes a second to remind her of the situation. "Now listen to me. Someone dangerous is lurking about out there, so I want you to stay by my side at all costs." Bherna nods. "I understand." Jynn climbs aboard and almost squeezes Mel forward, but not before being stopped by one of his servants. "Your majesty! I think you'll be needing this." In his hands lies Jynn's double edged sword of darkness, La Justicerè. The prince takes the blade. "Ah yes, thank you." Attaching it to his belt, he faces back to his destination. He quietly thinks to himself. This plan of his was risky. Sure, there will be suspicions, but with Jynn's reputation on his side, things will probably work out, one way or another. He puts a fist on his chest. Mother, if you're watching, I know what I'm doing is something you are not sure about. But I hope in the long run, I will make you proud. I will not carry vengeance or spite with me, nor shall I be consumed by these feelings. He is finally ready to go. "You got the book, Bherna?" The girl holds on to it tightly. Jynn faces back towards Typhon and Jeremy. "Let's go!" Mel spreads his wings and quickly takes off, gliding down the mountain range.

As Alin suggested everyone does climb, and Saros balks at the idea, Susan is curious as to why it's something worth exploring. "Suspicious indeed, but may I ask why we should investigate a mountain?" Jynn walks closer to the base of the formation. "Mountains don't form this erect. Usually they are shorter, or accompanied by a series of lesser formations. Judging from the looks of Moana, it's safe to say that this is not something the locals can achieve. There must be a supernatural force involved. Not only that......" He notices what appears to be claw marks going up the mountain. He pokes his finger on the mark and takes a whiff. It had a foul stench, darkness. "........... Heartless." Susan soon understands what Jynn is getting at. But how will they climb the mountain? It's too steep. "So how will we climb it?" The prince turns to the group. "Not to worry. Yen Sid has also taught me the ways of summoning." He pulls a crystal from his pocket. "Everyone group up."

Jynn Venas and Bherna- Abode Bherna spots Jynn heading to his office, and proceeds to follow. Her face was red, mostly around her eyes. It was clear that she got no sleep, and was traumatized by the announcement of Shiva's death. She follows her father into the office and finally says something to him. "So what happens now?" Jynn turns, but seems to have known he was being followed. He kneels down and puts a hand on her shoulder. He went straight to the point. "Well........ I have to take grandmother's place as the next monarch of this world. It will be a difficult adjustment, but it must be done." He brings Bherna close to him for a grieving embrace. Bherna wipes off any remaining tears and backs up. "Dad, do you remember that day you told me about that human girl? Who has been turned into a dog?" Jynn raised an eyebrow. "Y.......yeah? Why?" Bherna runs past him and towards the private library. It was crammed with books on mathematics, spells, history, and certain knowledge. Almost every single book is a copy of all books from the Kilkes Seres castle. If there was a book that was missing from the castle, Jynn most likely had a copy here. And some books were given to Jynn for safekeeping, containing content that not even Raiden can get his hands on. However, due to Jynn constantly being on the move lately, he has never had the time to study them all. Bherna hands her father a book titled Mysterious Powers and Objects. Jynn was obviously suspicious of Bherna. "Why have you been rummaging through my stuff?" Bherna backs up in guilt, but was quick to answer. "I found the way to help her....... I don't want someone to suffer for the rest of their lives...." She opens the book and locates the page containing said information. Jynn begins to read the page. Bherna watches as he does, but notices as he reads, his eyes widen, and begins grabbing the book's sides. He then stands up with the book in his hands. He was obviously hooked onto the contents of the page. "Bherna......... this........ this is incredible." He looks directly at her and puts his hand on her shoulder. "Thanks to your curious little mind, we can make peace with the humans!" Bherna was becoming extremely excited, as was Jynn, but the excitement was short lived as Jynn hastily gets ready. "Unfortunately, I must make haste. I can't risk Yevgeni causing any trouble." Bherna pulls on his arm to try to slow him down. She wanted to be involved. "Dad, I want to go too!" But the prince advises her to stay. "No. It's too dangerous. I don't want to lose another family member." But Bherna insists. "No! I'm coming with you! Maybe the human king could use some mutual understanding. You know what it's like to be a father, so maybe it will make him feel better or something." Jynn pauses. The risk of Bherna getting hurt are extremely high, but at the same time, prehaps she was right. Alderon is a father, just like Jynn. He takes some time to think it through, before finally turning to her with a decision. "Alright. But you are to stay by my side at all costs. If I tell you to run, you WILL get on Melstrome's back, and fly far away from the position as you can, do you understand?" His daughter nods in agreement. Jynn makes haste, packing everything he needs, including the book, and heads outside with Bherna in tow. He tells Typhon and Jeremy his intensions of leaving immediately. "Forget the bird. We're leaving now."

I can't go to any of these locations because I live far away. One of the only downsides of living in Florida......

Moana and the group have agreed to work together on returning the heart of Te Fiti, and set sail to their destination. However, an aggressive typhoon separates the group from Moana, so powerful it would've even given the crew of the Gummi Ship a hard time. The group survives and end up washed at Lalotai, better known as the "Realm of Monsters", while Moana manages to find Maui. Susan wakes up and finds herself and the others washed up on an isolated island. It was literally in the middle of nowhere. The boats they were using were capsized, but still quite intact. Jynn apparently was waiting for everyone to recover. "You okay?" Susan gets up on her feet. "Yeah. I hope Moana is ok........" Jynn stares off across the sea. "Kid's got spirit. I'm sure she'll be fine." He turns around. "What I'm concerned about is........" He points at a extremely tall mountain. ".......that."
