To be honest i'm not looking for anything too specific. I would like to form a logical and lore friendly story that encompases rhun and dorwinion, potentially going down all the way to Khand. THe rules are quite basic as far as i know. YOu can't have an elf that goes around hugging dwarves and stuff like that ... and the languages are not required i just noted that as a example. Side note: the lore from the hobbit is the least necissary. Silmarillion and sons of hurin are much better. Unfinished works and the actual lord of the rings also take priority above hobbit. (reason for that being the hobbit was a children's book)

It's not so much the language as it is the way they act. Quality is something that is a must but still. And if all fails there is always human.

So i've been gone for ... X amount of time. Regardles i've come to you all with something a bit different or it is in my perspective. I bring you: The awakening of Rhun (for lack of a better title). Now before i delve into it a bit of housekeeping. First of all this entire generalized plot is based on a campaign i had in medieval 2 total war third age devide and conquer submod, so i reccomend you check it out, if you're interested in total war and/or lord of the rings. Second, while this is a RP, try to stick as close to LOTR lore as possible, whilst it is a fantasy universe some things are simply physical ... A dwarf for example cannot run as fast as a human (despite what tolkien wrote) due to their legs being physically shorter, an elf with X years of experience is more than likely superior to a human with less. You are not heroes in a story and deaths are completely possible should you get into a situation where that may be so. Finally, this takes place some 4 years before the begining of the movies so expect to find places like Esgaroth, Dale, Erebor etc, rebuilt. Without further ado I present to you the setting: "In the final years of the third age middle earth stood at the brink of destruction. Sauron's armies march in a bloody tide from the black gates of mordor, the goblins of the misty mountains are ever more agressive and the east ... the golden dragon of rhune raises it's banners threatning to drive Rohvanion to it's knees.The strenght of the elves dwindles ..." "But even in the darkest of hours... The is still hope. And in these dark times, the mission of us all is to ensure that the dark lord does not claim middle earth." "A hope shines from the east, forth from Dorwinion it springs! Renewed is the hope that was rekindled, to challange the lord of the rings! Rise men, dwarf and elf, raise your swords, axes and bows! The time has come to fell the evil foes. Smoke rises from the south, in Harad, Khand and Umbar it burns! The free people of middle earth, shall witness how the tide turns! So have heart, have sword and have hope, you are not alone in this fight. Renewed is the alliance of old, to shatter the dark lord's might!" In the east land of Dorwinion along the western edge of the sea of Rhun, a blossoming kingdom of wine grows and prospers. For years it has had no significance in the world and was spared from the wrath of Smaug, Sauron and the east. But times change, the immortal lord of the esterlings has began achieving greater feats of wealth than erebor of old. A vast host of soldiers carrying the banner of Sauron begin to expand their grip into the fertile lands of Dorwinion and yet the small kingdom has held without conflict thus far. Letters have been sent all across middle earth by a man named Pallando asking that recipients attend council within the village of Carvarad near the borders of Dorwinion. Alrighty that's the gist of the setting. Now the rules... Which are standard but i'll list them anyway. 1. No controling other characters. 2. No god-moding. 3. Respect your fellow RPers. 4. Three lines is a minimum. (one i hope will always be exceeded) 5. Be as literate as possible. Quotation marks, dots, exclamation marks, full words etcetera. 6. Remain true to your character. Do not write the backstory of an edgelord and proceed to be a merrymaker. 7. Remain true to the lore of middle earth for the most part. Elves are elves and should act as such, there are no other Istari other than the five we were told in lore ... anyone who would make a wizzard character might aswell be instantly rejected. 8. Rings of power and lesser rings of magic exist however none of you posess ANY of them. 9. You are not the son/daughter/brother/whatever of elrond/glorfindel/aragorn/whatever ... Relations with canon characters should be limited. (knowing for example elrond is acceptable but no friendship/blood relations) 10. No ERP ... Keep it away from the story. If you mist do it via PMs. 11. To prove you have read the rules write "Leithio I phillin!" at the end of your application sheet. Character sheet: Name: (Do not have a human with an elven name bla bla bla.) Age: (realistic to your race) Gender: (if female remember that it is still somewhat middle ages esque so bare in mind social positions and such.) Race: Dwarf/Human/Elf/Halfling (note: elf and dwarf RPers should know elvish and dwarvish to an extent) Age: (DO NOT go below 18. This is not anime) Residence/place of origin: (must be known) Personality: (No elves loving dwarves or the other way around ... they hate eachother after the killing instigated by the dwarves in the first age.) Backstory: (try writing at least a few lines ... 5 minimum) Reason why you were invited to the council: (note: this is required for each player. Similar to how Elrond called the dwarves who were in Imladris in the lord of the rings (aka they were passing by to see what happened to Balin's expedition) ... Make a logical reason why your character would be there.) Weapon: (nothing enchanted or whatnot. Stay true to the culture you originate from.) Special skills: (be realistic. an elf is unlikely to be a master at navigating tunnels) Theme song: (optional)

One thing that may be concievably problematic is that each individual will be asked to provide a reason why the letter was sent to him. since i cannot predict characters and make them fit.

Well most usually think every elf is legolas, they break lore, they don't use elvish, they think they don't die when they are killed and in general they think themselves sex machines.

When someone says fantasy we may all think different universes. Warhammer, warcraft, DnD ... But tracing into the origin of popular epic fantasy many come to the conclusion that the absolute classic and to some the pinnacle of the genre is none other than the works of Tolkien. In regards to that I'm wondering if anyone would be interested in joining a RP created in that exact universe. As not to split up everything i will give you the general idea of the plot: Dorwinion is a land near the sea of Rhun where the estalings have their teritory for the most part. It's a land known for it's wine and with the help of some devide and conquer i've pieced together that the Avari elves (a subrace that never followed Orome) live there in a small amount. Not only that, two wizards that went to free the east from Saurons grasp remain unaccounted for. THis is where the story will take place. Some time after the hobbit and some time before lord of the rings. Dorwinion is peacful and prosperus however each day the closing estalings of Rhun threaten it's borders and seek to subjugate it before their dark lord. What is worse, the immortal lord of the Estalings seems to be gaining wealth even greater than that of the Vale of Dorwinion. In these times letters were sent out across middle earth, to individuals who would come to Caras Sant, the city of gardens and meet in the golden grape tavern. Council has been called in the elven court of the Avari, led by Nurwe, who was elected high councilor only after the previous one was slain on a peacful mission to Minstrand, the elves are supporting all out war against the estalings. So come, come to the land of wine and the Avari, the halls of the decadent wine-lords and rumor shadowed Avari, come save the east from the ravenous clutchings of sauron. They shall not pass.

Akash raised his fedora for a moment to see what was taking place around him. There seemed to be a few blue haired people chatting and the others seemed to be socializing as well. Aside from the one who just entered that is. In regards to this Akash passed around a stern faced glare to everyone sizing them up if perhaps a few would be potential threats. ?Easy now ... Nobody here knows you. They won't bother you and you'll only have to deal with three.' He thought o himself carefully avoiding any thoughts that might cause nervousness. He did however make a slight smirk when he saw Sapphira. 'That's not something you see every day. What was that the boss used to say? Women that look good with blue hair are one in a existence.' He thought to himself again still not flinching. It was tempting for him to try and take a shot at Ozpin but the man had yet to show and truth be told he knew he'd loose. One hand made it's way to his pocket from which he pulled out a old fashioned schrool. To occupy himself he used it to scan around giving him random information about the ones he's looking at. The blue haired one in particular was of note. He took a picture quickly and hid the device back into his pocket before pulling the fedora over his eyes again and acting like nothing happened.

As Akash was picked up by the transport the one driving threw him an envelope. "Your next assignment. As per contract you'll be receiving education as a huntsman at Beacon academy." Akash gave a nod and sat at the far back of the plane. "Drop-off directly next to the hangar. No need to stop." The driver gave a slight sarcastic laugh and put engines to full throttle. "Vale ..." Thought the soon to be huntsman. His current profession involved plenty of travel but ever since the incident that a few years ago his employers were cautious of the place. But finally it's behind him and so are his employers. It will be interesting to see if he could still socialize but then again huntsman were always a bit of an oddity he was told. He did receive explicit not orders but more suggestions at this point not to use his semblance and instead rely on his regular skills. How tedious, but he didn't argue as there would be questions as to why he can control it so well and saying that he just happened to be a prodigy or something would poorly influence his social standing in terms of exposure. His way led him to the main hall and he seemed to be the first. He let out a sigh and leaned against one of the pillars in the main hall where Ozpin would give the welcoming speech. Every once in a while he would pass around a glare at nothing in particular then pull down his fedora to cover his eyes. Akash felt his eyes close as he began slipping into a meditation-like state.

I like emerald's template so i'm using it. I'll finish it today Favorite character is Adam Taurus. There isn't anyone in the show I've seen so far actually harm one of the protagonists (except cinder). Also iaido is badass. Name: Akash Challis Age: 17 Gender: male Species: Human Occupation: First Year Student at Beacon Academy Appearance: Height: 185 cm Weight: 69 kg Eye Color: red Hair Color: raven black Skin Tone: white slightly tanned Hair Style: neck length hair which is normally ruffled or messy Facial Features/Expression: His eyes are very small and a known comment is that he often looks like he wants to kill everything. Often has a narrow gaze and a serious expression. Battle Clothing: same as casual clothing Casual Clothing: He prefers to wear his red shirt and black vest with a bow-tie. His pants and boots are both black. He also wears a black fedora with a gray feather in it. Formal Clothing: He wears a white long-coat with a dark gray undershirt. His posture is very formal and body language makes it seem as if he was always in court. Reference Image: History: Born in the shady part of Atlas, Akash was immediately taken in by the streets. In early ages he found himself hanging around several corrupt dealers and arms dealers. They never really said no to him especially since as a child he would keep records. This all started when he saw a few people doing illegal dust deals and he saw that a few papers were wrongly filled out. As he corrected them there was a bit of panic from the dealers but they soon found his skills with paperwork to be useful. He often spent days training with guns and blades which fascinated him. A few methods he learned were riding blows and changing the slash direction mid swing. One of his assignments led to him actually having to hunt down a few police officers to shut them up. It was more of a joke for the ones who gave the assignment but when he returned with a pair of heads they were awestruck. After a while his skills became apparent and a company derived from black market deals began giving him more physically oriented jobs. In one such occasion his rhetoric were also taken into note as he was an excellent trader and diplomat. This earned him an all expense payed education. This was nothing more than a distraction as his parents were simply thinking that their boy is amazingly gifted. After he ended his studies he decided to become a huntsman as he would not only call for more respect but also he would be closer to important people allowing easier manipulation. Along the way he also started trade dealings with the white fang and helps them in several supply related areas. Not exactly legal but nobody has found out about it yet. Personality: Very straight to the point all business most of the time. When he judges he is harsh and critical and when he praises he does so loudly. The philosophy he was taught was "When someone does something great you praise him loudly. When someone fails you ridicule him even louder." And growing up by that he was a non stop competitor. He is very fixated on being exceptional and is very ambitious in terms of strength and position. He is somewhat arrogant although he keeps his ego under control and rarely gets defensive. He is also a very cheep shot person who thinks that it doesn't matter how you win it only matters that you do. Going by this logic he is also very indifferent towards the lives, well-being and property of anyone caught in the crossfire. He has dealt with death plenty of times and has developed a coldness to anyone to oppose him. His preferred method of proving his point is sarcasm and trying to make the other person contradict themselves. He enjoys psychological warfare and mind games as he has yet to be truly outwitted. Strengths: agile to the extreme and has good reflexes exceptional when thinking under pressure decent control over his aura highly sophisticated and well thought out fighting style including weaving his way through bullet fire, riding most blows up close and good evasive capabilities fairly deceptive Weaknesses: no armor whatsoever and very fragile if hit directly doesn't show his full strength to make it look like he's a regular student slow as far as rate of ranged fire goes a bit too arrogant in combat leaving several openings to "give his opponent a chance" Semblance: heat manipulation - He can make anything he touches give out a certain degree of heat increasing his weapon penetration power causing his bullets to pierce several solid bodies before stopping and his blade to cut through metal as if it was butter.
