  1. For your "Proof 1", you are forgetting that we DO see YX's eyes on Destiny Islands in the DDD secret ending. https://youtu.be/1u2HaoeRoMA?t=153 Also, you must keep in mind that in Unreal Engine 4, we have more detailed lighting, which can easily explain the difference of color in some parts of YX's eyes. A good example of this color difference can be shown here: https://youtu.be/cQdbXT6uIxs?t=1370 As you can see, Terranort's eyes are darker in color due to the lighting. They are even right next to a window, with bright sunlight coming in, and even Eraqus's right eye seems to have a slight glow of blue at the edge of his iris. https://youtu.be/Os2Xqq-7YmE?t=143 Keep in mind also that Xehanort showed more curiosity than he did knowledge of the Keyblade War. He himself even says in BBS, "We know so little about the Keyblade War" and that "It is a curious tale -- and one worth exploring." All Xehanort has on the Keyblade War are the stories his master told him, and seemingly, got to see a few passages from the Book of Prophecies, despite Luxu never inheriting a copy for himself. And yes, he could know something about the "gazing eye", but that doesn't mean that Luxu is possessing him. It could just be something that his master told him, considering their master likes to talk about the Keyblade War as well. Another thing to keep in mind is that this is footage from almost two years ago. The lighting in KH 2.8 was far different, even just months before its release. The Kingdom Shader may still go through even more revisions before KH3 is released, and environmental light volume and placement is subject to change as well.
  2. Well, if they solve this in JP before NA releases, then it's likely we'll get a Day 1 patch. Either way, I'm really hoping to play without those issues, especially the scary save-crash.
  3. Update 1:00 p.m.: Square Enix has confirmed Kingdom Hearts: Union χ for release in the west. The free update will arrive in April with a new “Union Cross” multiplayer mode and more ways to customize the player’s avatar. Here’s an overview, via Square Enix: With Kingdom Hearts: Union χ, players can create teams of six from their party members or through a matchmaking feature to fight hordes of Heartless enemies and powerful bosses. Players can also take on quests of increasing difficulty as well as unique new missions. To help these teams of friends communicate with each other, the game will now include emotes and text bubbles. Players will encounter both familiar and new faces as the story of the Unions continues to unfold, and the new “Theater Mode” will allow players to relive the drama and rewatch cutscenes. Read more at http://gematsu.com/2017/03/kingdom-hearts-unchained-chi-update-kingdom-hearts-union-cross-announced#jQ1yxEgC1MspT3q7.99 I'm guessing this also means that we will be getting the remaining Unchained quests by the end of this month. If not, then we'll be getting most of the with the update ~ hopefully.
  4. I'm still a bit skeptical about how this will turn out, but from what I've seen of the cast, I do have some hope. Even if it doesn't pay good homage to the original cartoon, I imagine it will at least have a cult following as long as the writers don't butcher it.
  5. GBC, GBA, NDS, 3DS, GCN, Wii. My room mate has a Wii U that he never uses for gaming, so I've bought a couple of my own Wii U games to play on it.
  6. I'm very sad that I'm not able to afford this game right now. Next month though, I'll be picking it up for the Wii U. And maybe by this time next year, I can get a Switch, and this game for it. Being an adult sucks sometimes.
  7. Posting in an old forum, I know, but I've kind of had this theory for a while that when Xemnas was commanding his Kingdom Hearts at the end of KH2, he may very well have been hooking up his own (Xehanort's) heart up to the remaining hearts, in hopes that the strongest of those hearts would return to form the real Organization. After all, Xigbar did explain that the plan was initially to hook a bunch of empty husks up to Kingdom hearts to fill them with the same heart and mind. If Xemnas did, in fact, fill the remaining hearts with his own, then it may be possible that, between Sora and co. defeating many nobodies, and some of those Nobodies' hearts being part of Kingdom Hearts at the time, some of them, even ones with strong hearts, could have returned to their normal forms with a piece of Xehanort's heart in them. After all, Xehanort seems to have had several backup plans, in case some of them did not succeed, so this may have been another resort of his in case his plan in DDD failed. That's just speculation on my part, though.
  8. Wish I would have put some money aside for BOTW at this point. I'll probably have to wait until next month before I'm financially comfortable again, sadly enough. Oh well, I'm sure it'll be well worth the wait. :)

  9. Well, since Nomura said that KH3 still has a way to go, and would like to show a trailer at an event (likely E3, Jump Festa or D23), I'm not going to expect anything big on KH3 this month, maybe a few more screenshots. Otherwise, I am hoping for some 15th anniversary stuff in Unchained X.
  10. Don't you mean Celadon City? Oh wait, we've always been able to do that!
  11. So it has come to my attention that there are a great many people out there who believe that Luxu is A) Eraqus and Xehanort's Master, or B) Is their Master's Master. However, there are some flaws to that idea that people tend to neglect, and some things that I will present to the table to try and disprove this theory. Number 1: The Keyblade War is ANCIENT! MX: "In ancient times, people believed that light was a gift from and unseen land by the name of Kingdom Hearts" YX: "But of all the Keyblades in existence, Master Xehanort's is the most ancient." Xigbar: "This is all connected to the ancient Keyblade War, isn't that right? It has been stated a few times in the series that the Keyblade War is ancient, which implies that the war is older than a mere one, or even two hundred years. Usually when someone says ancient, they are talking about something that is far older than recent history, something from the very distant past. We're talking about something that is potentially over a thousand years old. For most people, they would probably even refer to ancient as something no younger than the end of the Roman Empire! You add than to the fact that all of the Foretellers' Keyblades have Roman/Greek-like pillars as handles, and the implication of them being from over a thousand years back is even stronger. Number 2: There have been multiple generations of Keyblade wielders since the end of the Keyblade War. YX: "Every Keyblade master is bequeathed a Keyblade of his very own. With the passing of time, as you can imagine, more and more Keyblades were forged to be handed down. But of all the Keyblades in existence, Master Xehanort's is the most ancient." With this line alone, Young Xehanort implies that there have been many generations of Keyblade wielders. If that is so, then there would have certainly been more than a one or two generational gap between Luxu and Eraqus or Xehanort. Assuming that people in the KH universe aren't living longer than the current average lifespan IRL, then how could Luxu have even been present during Eraqus' and Xehanort's training if this is indeed true? Number 3: That scene at the beginning of 0.2 takes place at the end of the Keyblade War. So despite those pillars of rock that we see that are similar to the ones Master Xehanort made in the battle against TAV, there are some things that we see that implicate that this scene actually takes place at the end of the Keyblade War. First being that we see a Starlight Keyblade there, which, to me anyway, is indicative of a circa KHx story piece. Next, we see that, when Kingdom Hearts appears, there are multiple glowing lights gathering to Kingdom Hearts. Now, some of us recall the scene at the end of KHx where, during the Keyblade War, we see hearts floating adrift as more and more wielders fall. Connecting those two points, I'd wager that those glowing lights are hearts gravitating toward Kingdom Hearts. Or, it could even be that it's Lux, as Lux is needed to summon Kingdom Hearts, according to Gula in Backcover. We, so far anyway, have no evidence of Lux being collected in CE Kingdom Hearts, and I certainly don't recall any more than seven beings present at the time of BBS. And then, of course, we see Luxu there, with ol' No Name and the box of MOM's dead mouse collection, or whatever. If, in fact, No Name is a one of a kind Keyblade, then how could Luxu have it at the same time as the current events of Kingdom Hearts if one, he's no longer alive, and two, if Master Xehanort has it? Number 4: Case of Luxu SO I saw a video earlier today where a gentleman was explaining one of MOM's quotes from Backcover that goes: MOM: You need to pass down that Keyblade to your apprentice, and then him to his, so that my eye can see the future. Despite his argument that this was proof of Luxu being within two generations of Eraqus and Xehanort, and despite what others of you might think, there are two things you need to consider. One being that just because MOM says this, it doesn't mean that there is a literal meaning for him to only see two generations worth of Keyblade wielders. It seems more like he wants Luxu to start a whole lineage of wielders that will continuously inherit and pass on No Name. Second, we have to remember that just because it's an official translation, it doesn't mean that it is a direct translation of what is said in the Japanese version. In fact, I just so happen to have the Japanese text of the line, saying: ともかくそのキーブレードが君弟子から弟子へと受け継がれはるか先の未来まで見つめつづける我か目となるワケよ Now, while I myself don't know much about Japanese, especially so when it comes to grammar and kanji, and I know Google Translate ain't 100% accurate, Google translated it to this: Anyway that key blade is inherited from your disciples to disciples far far away Wake that will keep on staring at the future far ahead Again, while this translation is certainly not 100% accurate, there is a clue in there that will lead us to further conclusion to this matter, and that is the words "far away" and "far ahead" (and "haruka" is indeed in the original Japanese sentence). The fact that the MOM wants to see into the "distant" or "far away" future implies that he wants to see beyond just one or two generations of Keyblade wielders. If you wanted to see a future that is distant, are you only implying that your want to see the events of a one or two hundred year future? I know I wouldn't. If I'm talking distant, then I'm going to mean DISTANT, like HUNDREDS of years, potentially even a thousand+ years into the future! I want to know as many events as possible so that I can write an epic book about all the major, potentially world-changing events that are to happen, for as long as my Keyblade, with its gazing eye, can see! Anyway though, I digress. Perhaps, if anyone here knows Japanese, they could translate that line directly, so we can see its intended meaning, whether to prove, or even potentially disprove my case. Also, what do you guys think? Do you think it's possible that Luxu has a closer connection to Eraqus and/or Xehanort than we know? Or do you think that it's more distant than that in terms of a generational gap? ------ UPDATE: As Kingdomhe mentioned in his posts, there is an interview with a couple of lines that almost seem to point either way. One thing that stands out is that the Keyblade was succeeded from Luxu, and "passed trough time", implicating that it has been passed down over multiple generations. However, what Nomura says in answer before that may very well implicate something else. Oh Nomura... you Cheshire Cat, you. Anyway, I think it's best to leave these two lines from Nomura up for debate. - So the Keyblade that received the Master’s eye is being passed around in the world of the future then? Nomura: Well, it’s hard to confirm whether that’s really true or not. We’re talking about the Master here. In his words, he would probably say something like, “But that can’t be possible!! Right??” - Huh!? But...That being said, the aforementioned Keyblade...It’s the same one that Master Xehanort holds in the future, right? Nomura: Yes, it’s the very same one. Succeeding from Luxu, it’s been passed through time and is now held by Master Xehanort. So it can be considered that Master Xehanort is the legitimate successor of that Keyblade, meanwhile Master Eraqus inherited control over the Land of Departure. ------
  12. I agree. The ability to choose what your main stat was going to be in the beginning is something I would like to see return. DMC, I wanna say, would classify as an action-adventure game with RPG elements, since you are collecting orbs to apply to traits and skills. In which case, I suppose you could technically classify Kingdom Hearts as such, as well, since it has action-based combat. I guess though, since KH has more classic RPG elements, people just classify it as an action-RPG. Anyway, while I do like the potential variety of play styles, I do, at least, hope that SE has a way of keeping it all balanced. I would rather just able to have, essentially, a main style and secondary style with the mix of abilities active, while having everything else on the back burner, e.g. have magic and drive abilities active and keep shot lock, summon and other abilities inactive. I would assume that SE will bring back the AP system so as to keep something akin to that going. As you have mentioned though, it is a bit worrisome that they have all these abilities, and have a team working on the game that doesn't always keep it balanced. I guess all we can do is hope for the best.
  13. I like to think of it as a class choice scenario. Not everyone is going to use the hack and slash method, and not everyone is going to use Drive Forms. Only in my most recent playthrough of KH2 did I use Drive Forms as my main form of combat, particularly in boss battles, otherwise I stuck to the basic combo method, and I used primarily magic in BBS. Likewise, certain Keyblades have their strengths in certain areas, much like how there have always been Magic-focused Keyblades, Drive-focused Keyblades in KH2, Reality Shift-focus Keyblades in DDD, etc. So the user is really only going to get the most out of their combat preference depending on what Keyblade they use and/or what abilities they have in their arsenal. KH3 could be one of those DDD situations where you can really only have so many stat-based abilities active at a time. If nothing else, an AP system that keeps you from equipping every known ability, so you may actually have to think your build through. It may be too much for some players, sure, but it allows for a lot of flexibility in terms of play style, which personally, I think is great. After all, KH is an RPG at its core, and often times, with RPGs these days, it's largely about giving the player a choice of play style, be it by a class system or just an overall variety of command types.
  14. I understand it. Can't say I'm good at it though. I struggled to beat Re:CoM both times, but I was determined because story-wise, it's my favorite side title.
  15. Well, I did it. I pre-ordered 1.5 & 2.5 for PS4, even though I have both on my PS3. Only did it for the 60 FPS. :P

    1. MythrilMagician

      MythrilMagician

      Lol, I did it because I don't have a PS3.

  16. As long as they give us a means to cast a wide variety of magic, like what BBS and DDD had, I'm good. It would be unfortunate for us to have a devolution in the realm of magic. Thankfully, most of the KH titles that have been released, and that have the variety many of us crave, came out after KH2, so I feel like SE would feel obligated to put a good majority of those spells in KH3, lest we end up with an all too basic magic system. If nothing else though, they are giving us a lot already, between Drive, Shot Lock and Attraction Flow, so that does give us plenty to work with in terms of combat. So if magic doesn't end up taking some degree of priority, then at least we have those. (I'll still be slightly irked though if we only get the basic magics).
  17. I'm very much a BBS guy when it comes to overall combat. The ability to meld commands to make new stuff and level up your commands was really fun and made magic feel much more rich! Sadly, as mentioned, there is a lack of balance in BBS, but I think that people put far too much focus on that, and let it ruin their experience. If a command or spell is unbalanced, then either abuse it, or don't use it. Simple as that. Besides, I'm more about the fun commands anyway, like Ventus's Tornado, Aqua's Firaga Burst and Raging Storm, Terra's Warp, and my personal favorite, Time Splicer (which sadly, Terra doesn't get).
  18. Once Traverse Town becomes combat level 20, it becomes very easy to level, even beyond 50, in the 2nd and 3rd districts going back and forth with flowmotion. Use that extra DP toward attack and flowmotion bonuses. You only get stat-based abilities from the dream eaters that are in your party when you've unlocked them on the link board. Non-stat abilities will remain regardless, though. Look up a guide on dream eater dispositions so that you know what you're doing with your dream eaters. Some dream eaters in late game will need a LOT of Block-It Chocolate, due to negative resistances. Looking at you, Pegaslick and Electricorn!
  19. I get that chibi characters are supposed to have large heads, but these heads seem just... too big, even for chibi. That, or maybe it's just the squarish, disproportionate shape of the head, coupled with the eye shapes. I realize it's more me than anything else, but their heads just look so off to me.
  20. Smaller heads. Seriously, those things freak me the **** out every time!
  21. While I did enjoy playing Days, and seeing the lives of Roxas and Axel in the Organization, it really didn't seem to develop the main story a whole lot. As for Coded, I really did not care for it. It almost felt like a rehash of CoM, where we just revisit familiar worlds, but without the card system and no important story elements that couldn't have just as easily been explained within a few cutscenes in DDD. As for BBS, I did appreciate gameplay and story, but at the same time, it felt like story elements that sort of came from nowhere, and some of it doesn't fit well with what happened in KH1. It makes one wonder what Nomura's original plan for all of KH, story-wise, was going to be. The only thing I recall is that he planned to kill off Axel/Lea completely. All that said though, it's now hard to really imagine KH without the BBS installment, now that it's been there for some years, and is classified more as a main installment, more than a spin-off. And then, DDD... I, for one, really liked it! When I first saw Xemnas enter in a cutscene, I was like, "WWWHHHHAAAAA?!" There were a few twists and turns that, at first, really confused me. But the end of the game tied it all the confusion together, and it felt more like a main installment than a spin-off. I also really enjoyed the gameplay. All in all though, it does feel like SE has slightly abused the series. With all the side-titles, the story becomes very confusing, unless you pay close attention and tie it all together. Not to mention, the $$$ that goes into buying game after game. No wonder Nomura has to put the "Reconnect. Kingdom Hearts" at the end of every side installment these days.
  22. It would be a stretch. I imagine that, since SE has already made many KH games, they probably would not want to invest in a non-canon spin-off. Plus, I imagine that there are many KH fans out there that have had enough of buying Kingdom Hearts titles until KH3.
  23. Although I've grown tired of the base Dynasty Warriors series, I would gladly welcome a Kingdom Warriors game. Hell, I'd even love it if SE made some kind of Dissidia game for Kingdom Hearts.
