  1. I think its because their progressing the game too fast. JP didn't bring out gilt for like... 4 months after the game came out and they seem to be rushing through some of the medal releases. Its made the progression a lot faster paced than it should've been.
  2. It is cool, and frankly I think the versions outside of japan can do even better since KH has generally been more popular outside of Japan then within.
  3. No not really. It is a bit more generous with the daily jewels though, you always get a minimum of 300 per day. The same problem still persists, but that's just like any mobile F2P game. Bad RNG = no progression, that's how it goes. Edit: Incidentally, did a single 10 pull on my NA account that I haven;t really used yet (still level 12 lol) and got majorly rewarded with Final Form sora, Limit form sora, 2x Darkness Riku (with attack boosts no less), and some other nice things. I was waiting to play this account until I could shore up my medals a bit, seems like I'm good to go.
  4. Of course the Zootopia medals got heavily nerfed. In their JP form they would be essentially the best medals in the game for NA. Judy's 2 tier boost for the entire turn for 3 leaves all the other buff medals available in the dust. Nicks 1 turn buff for 1 AP also does so. They had to nerf them, or release different Zootopia medals, or make them Gacha only. One of the three, they chose the nerf. Clearly though they were super lazy and chose not to make different medals, and also they nerfed them too hard. Should've at least made them as good as the current NA buff medals. Instead their essentially worthless as anything but trophies. But hey, early HP event medals were all trophies so NA has to pay their lumps lol
  5. Just wait until they give you the All Quests 1 AP event like we have going on in JP. You'll wish you could wait to play, burning all of your stamina is IMPOSSIBLE. Its too wasteful, so much extra stamina overflow!!!! Ahhhhhh
  6. I guarantee you the Zootopia medals that come either won't be the same or will be heavily nerfed. The current JP Zootopia medals are top tier, way too strong for the current NA medal.
  7. This medal is not even consider that OP... Its powerful and super cool but the fact that it hits random enemies makes it pretty inconsistent against anything but single target. The other very powerful single targets are still better IMO. (and most rankings agree) I will admit that it looks very cool though
  8. Right, its just a normal draw and the chance is low. They introduced a guaranteed pull mechanic so you will always get a copy of the limited medal for every 10 3K pulls (so 30K jewels lol) but as you can imagine that's not super helpful. Frankly though its still the best time to roll when limited metals are around because at least then you have a chance of getting them. Most limited medals you'll probably never get as a Free player, but you only need to get lucky a few times
  9. Assuming that events play out the same in NA, this is absolutely the way to go. Limited medals are miles ahead of any of the others in strength, its telling that the top 10 (15 even) best medals in JP are pretty much all limited medals.
  10. The new medals aren't limited the 3K Disney or FF deals are. Assuming the game progresses like the JP version there will be limited medals at some point but typically its only one at a time.
  11. Level indicates the difficulty of the quest and how powerful the enemies are, it doesn't really correlate to your level at all. A level 200 quest is significantly more difficult than a level 100 quest for example. The most difficult dungeons to date in JP are lvl 280 and those are almost impossible except for the strongest of players.
  12. The medals are almost the same as early JP... so the tiers have been long established at this point. Similar to what AzureAce said. Best single target medals are Darkness Riku and Adult Hercules for Power, Limit form Sora for speed, and magic basically has no good single targets yet so your stuck using things like Yuffie (status effect boosts are not good, just like early jp before Roxas and IlluAerith first came along, poor magic) Best AOE medals are King Mickey and Wisdom Sora for Magic, KH 1 Riku for Power, and I forget who the speed was.
  13. Black coat Riku is slightly better than Cloud, and KH2 Aerith is very strong as one of the best buff medals currently available. I would stick with your start. As far as skills go, the best skill is generally attack up because it boosts your ability damage by a huge margin. Attack up whole is AOE normal attack only so its crap, status effects are unreliable so are mostly not used (which also makes medals that rely on status effects for a power boost also bad, Peter Pan, Brave form sora etc.). At this point the best one's are attack up and shield. Later things like Ability drop boost will come and will be incredibly good but that's not here yet.
  14. It doesn't matter whether its 5 star or not frankly since they can all be evolved. If its a good medal its good whether its 3 star or not so you should be paying significantly more attention to the abilities of the medals rather than their levels. At this point in the game (since its essentially early JP with a few more not good medals that weren't out at the start of JP) KH2 Darkness Riku, Limit form Sora, Cloud, Hercules, KH 2 Riku, King Mickey, Tinkerbell, and All of the Buff medals are the standouts.
  15. Cool. This isn't going to replace my JP account (because its so far ahead, and I've invested too much into it) but it'll make a nice side account for my phone to play on the way to work. I'll be able to read the story anyway, which should be fun. It'll be interesting to see if they differentiate the game from the JP version using what they've learned.
