11 worlds that we know will come back
Seyin95 replied to Kingdomhe's topic in Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind
I agree that the ps2's limitations probably did have an element to restrictions in worlds . However I still don't feel as if the PoH worlds would be that essential. Excluding locating and relocating the Princess somewhere safe; I personally feel as if they wouldn't provide a fresh experience. Also with Unchained Chi focusing on the PoH worlds; I think they would feel a bit redundant. Carrying on; returning worlds will have new maps; BBS and to a large extent Uchi have expanded the areas a lot and I don't feel similar to plot purposes we'd have a fresh experience. That being said I do agree with you on the non disney films returning -
Does Sora now know what happened in CoM?
Seyin95 replied to Zimomo's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
I think he does know in a certain way and I'll explain why. Yes he chose to sleep in order to regain his old memories rather than keep the castle oblivion memories. However memories cannot be erased; merely the chain is re-arranged. So in Sora's heart he has retained his memories of CO. Yes he seemed blank at that start of KH2 when Jiminy's Journal says ' Thank Namine' and he seemed totally oblivious to Axel throughout the game. However; in 2.5 for some random reason before Armoured. Xehanort part 2, he says to Riku ' I never did thank Namine'. So that shows there is some recollection. That could be due to Roxas reacting to Namine inside Sora's heart; however I do feel as if Sora to an extent recalls. To sum it up shortly for you- I doubt he fully remembers; but deep in his heart the memories are still there and I feel as if he recalls elements. -
No point in being pessimistic or overly optimistic until we get concrete evidence from Square or reflect on the event afterwards. I am leaning towards something appearing due to the fact that KH3 in some capacity had appeared at the last 3 E3s ( 2013- announcent trailer; 2014- teaser trailer; 2015- trailer plus info) so I do having a feeling in some capacity it will appear. I do think 2.8 will be the focus; however similiar to Jump Festa and TGS; I would suspect we'll get around a minute of KH3 again ( game play or a random snippet of a conversation.) Just because Square doesn't have an event like last year; there is no need for pessimism at all. You'd like to think they have footage to show; and due to the interest would show something. Even if it's a world conformation; anything is better than nothing and seeing as Square do recognise the interest it would be less hassle to show something than nothing and have to do with salty fans. Patience friends and we shall see!

11 worlds that we know will come back
Seyin95 replied to Kingdomhe's topic in Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind
I agree with the point about non disney worlds returning; however I disagree that the POH worlds are needed. I can see Agrabah returning due to the fact it appears an awful lot and if we take the map concept into account; Aladdin 3 would provide a brand new experience and feel like a new world. If the PoH are to be in the game; I'd have no issue having them in one place at one time similiar to how in KH1 we didn't have a Snow White; Sleeping Beauty; Beauty and The Beast and Cinderella world; but they all were located in Hollow Bastion. That would work fine again and as pointed out we're having more new world than returning: so I'd bank on the majority of returning worlds to be non disney films with the exception of 1-3 ( Olypus confirmed; Agrabah most likely and if we believe Pete Cummings then 100 Acre Wood.) -
The thing is this rubbish is so dire it doesn't even become amusing; I'm pretty sure one of them was quoting people from here as ' Square Enix Sources' haha. Seriously though; they are vultures and will say anything to get clicks since sadly some people believe them to be true. It's terrible in the build up to E3- I've seen multiple articles confirming KH3 having a trailer; 3 worlds being confirmed... It's sad really

How about if they do what they are doing with Big Hero 6 and have a world unique plot? Personally, I wouldn't have an issue with having a Tiy Story 2 world as I could easily see the story of helping the toys rescue woody being implemented. There would be no need for Stinky Pete to be in the council of Villains due to the fact the darkness would attract the heartless; similiar to Clayton in KH1. Also from a marketing sense; implementing a TS2 world would make the most sense as it would more than likely attract fans of that property or those who enjoyed the movie casually to play. After all; Al's Toy Barn; the Airport are memorable scenes to people and would be fun to play in. At the end of the day; companies go where the money is and it wouldn't make sense to turn down an economic success for a more unknown property in that series.

Noctis in Kingdom Hearts 3?
Seyin95 replied to khsg's topic in Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind
I'd welcome him as a secret boss as I believe he'd be a challenge. Story wise I came up with a scenario that we encounter Noctis and the FFXV gang whilst they are on the road; they drive pass us; comical moment where Donald shouts abuse about nearly being run over. Then a bit later on we find their car has broken down and they under attack from heartless; Sora steps in and helps out before Noctis talks about needing to reclaim the light to restore his kingdom from the darkness. Noct then drives off after either giving Sora a keychain or a summon charm. -
It would seem more like regression than progression to go through a world only once. Two per character seems likely. However; seeing as we don't know that Sora will be the only exclusive playable character for the main story line ( Intro I'm betting on being Young Eraqus/Young Xehanort), it's hard to comment. However the idea of going to one world once and other's twice seems a bit odd for disney worlds. It could work for worlds such as Radiant Garden etc but not disney worlds. Also in terms of popularity for worlds; some might want to visit worlds multiple times and others might want to go there once. An example would be the pride lands; a lot of people love that world and have no issue going there twice in a game. I on the other hand; found Lion Sora annoying; the world was far too empty and big and the second visit was Mehr. It would be hard to choose which disney film required two visits and only one. Thus keep it at two.

Everything in life relates to money. Disney is a huge company with rich properties. You're right add Frozen and you'll attract a certain demographic. It's also one reason I refuse to rule out Star Wars appearing; it wouldn't make sense to potentially turn down a fan base of that magnitude; even if you only add a small percentage to sales. Whilst the majority of us I hope are here for the plot; the gameplay; the aeries overall, there are many people who'd play the game for a specific property. Also worth adding; Final Fantasy attracts people and when ( not a matter of if) FFXV does well; then newcomers might want to see Noct etc again and come to KH. Same with Iconic characters such as Kefka, if I didn't know about KH and was a new comer and was aware Kefka was a boss etc I'd be curious too. Whilst we might get a few odd surprises from character inclusion to world selection, I am fully expecting Square to choose money making properties to increase the odds of increasing sales. So with E3 around the corner and potentially more info......

I don't normally like being a killjoy; however I'm here today to perhaps voice what might be an unpopular opinion about transformation. Here's a few reasons why I hope Sora doesn't become another Merman/Lion/Frog etc unless there are needed changes. Let's get this straight; I appreciated the Pride Lands plot and even Atlantica's plot in KH1 ( I'm still having nightmares about Donald's singing from Kh2...). However my issue with both worlds was the fact we got transformed. Yes it's a cool concept however.... 1) the control- Merman Sora I'm sorry in KH1 was an absolute nightmare to control; you spend the whole game getting used to the camera/the movement settings then all of a sudden it's redundant in Atlantica. Part from getting lost which wasn't a huge task; one of the main issues was with the controls; it wasn't fun in the end. The same applies for Lion Sora; yes he was easier to control and was more in tune to normal Sora; but there's no denying he was a Lion Flash and it did help make a huge workd easier to navigate: there were plenty of times you'd have to double back on yourself to fight heartless; over look a treasure chest etc. It wasn't perfect either. 2) loss of abilities- this is a real kick in the teeth for me; you work hard levelling up for abilities; you equip abilities Which benefit you; then once again you transform and a lot of your abilities become redundant. This was seriously annoying; yes I gather there needs to be a sense of realism eg you can't have aerial combat underwater; however to strip us down isn't benefiting the player; but a hinderance. Also there is no guarantee if we transform in Kh3 we'll be able to use abilities such as Keyblade transformations/attraction flow etc and due to the fact this game will be more intense; the more options I have in battle the better. I'd rather not be in a situation where I could use aid; but can't because ( example only) I'm a blasted bear cub in a Brother Bear world. In situations like that the coolness of transforming doesn't outweigh the restrictions of abilities. That being said; I really don't like being a killjoy so there are a few ways if used to rectify the situation; then transforming should not be an issue. 1) control- if they insist on transforming us; do not make the control alien to the player; keep it simple and keep it the same way as any other world. Also keep Sora's speed the same in all world's; excluding a quick run ability if it's implemented. This will again keep things smooth. 2) do not restrict our essential abilities- like I said before; sometimes in order to keep things realistic; some abilities will need to be restricted; such as no aerial combat underwater etc. However allow us to keep crucial abilities; combat abilities and due to the map scale of kh3 flow motion. Thereby enhancing rather than hindering the player. 3) make us make the most use of our forms- by this I mean; make the forms feel unique and fun; etc if we become a frog; make us make use of the ability to swim underwater; take camouflage amongst lilies to avoid heartless detecting us; squeeze through smaller gaps. That would be perfectly fine and whilst the Pride Lands were ok; imagine how much more cooler it would have been to have been able to stalk heartless using a stealth Attack; ( seeing as npcs will help the fight) have the other lionesses help lead the heartless to you for Attack etc. That would be clever actually and would make it enjoyable. Overall; transforming at its current state is nothing short of a pain to the players in reality and if it is to return in KH3 needs vital changes; otherwise in my opinion- human sora is perfectly fine by me.

I've discovered something about KH time travel
Seyin95 replied to VisitJoan's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
I love it when things become more confusing; in all seriousness I get what you are saying and agree with you. Overall; it's one aspect that really wasn't needed and supports my theory that square are taking something strong at times -
I like your concept however I have a few queries; how would you class London in KH1; Neverland and London are clearly distinct; however they are both part of the same world. Same as Mysterious Tower in Twilight Town in KH2; we still have no idea whether or not these are two worlds or one overall world, also Alice's home world is not Wonderland; so would you class that as a world within a world too? I do agree that some of the characters that have been introduced have probably reached their limits; I mean whilst we know they are out there a Bambi world/Dumbo world could be lacklustre. That saying I can see Stich re-appearing in a world due to the fact it would fit the criteria of an old world have new maps. Also I'd say be skeptical of films getting live action releases and Sword in the Stone I believe is in the process; whilst we have evidence Merlin does live in Radiant Garden from the events of BBS onwards, we don't know his complete origin points; plus we know he can cross across worlds so I wouldn't be too hasty to dismiss Sword in The Stone appearing as a world.

I was reminiscing about last year's E3 trailer and was thinking about interesting topics to talk about ( I did consider a post about the different geographical areas of the game- yet I don't think many would care about a post about mountains; rivers and fields etc) and decided to argue my case on why we should play as Young Xehanort in the introduction; from a plot perspective and necessity. Starting with the most important and obvious reason: 1) we actually don't know a lot about his backstory- we know he got off the Islands ( somehow), we know he becomes a keyblade wielder ( somehow), we know he is trained by a master who loves the story about the lost masters ( cough foretellers) ( also someone). Yet whilst we know about Old Man Xehanort and his current ambitions. We do not know: how Xehanort became a keyblade wielders; how he later obtains the keyblade we are accustomed to him wearing; how and why he became obsessed with the keyblade war ( by this I mean was it his master's charisma/Xehanort being power hungry/Altruistic intentions etc); what worlds he attended to in his youth; the list actually goes on. Whilst we could learn this from playing as Eraqus; I'd argue playing as Xehanort will allow us to explore the character on a much needed personal level. If we fully understand the character then we can either have more intentions to defeat him or feel for him when he is defeated. 2) playing as the ' good guy's' is getting dull- yes; I know we will take control of Sora who is undoubtedly a hero; but I mean for a change; albeit a small one . It would be fun to play as a bad guy for once; who knows we might even be able to dab into darker areas from a gameplay perspective too? 3) gives us a valid reason to return to Dive To The Heart- I'd be willing to wager this section of the game returns; I mean it enables us to choose between the Sword/Shield/Staff ( always the shield) which determines the abilities we gain through levelling up; however Sora; Roxas and Ven have been there and yes I'm aware there are multiple other characters who could go there; enabling the player to essentially choose Young Xehanort's path is way too tempting. Not only does it allow us a legit reason to return: but also helps us connect to Xehanort too. If we choose his path; then technically we have set the course for what will eventually play in the KH games thus far; which I feel would be a neat touch. 4) playing as young Eraqus wouldn't answer all the questions- this links to my first point; yes it would be cool to play as Eraqus; however we'd still be none the wiser to a lot of answers; which wouldn't help the plot. Therefore I'd have nothing against having cutscenes exclusive to Eraqus; but I feel as mentioned above; playing as Young Xehanort would be excellent to providing needed answers. 5) the chess scene is the start of the game- I'm anticipating the response that people will want either exclusive Sora Intro/ Kairi in training etc. However we know for a fact this is the start: so it wouldn't make sense to show this then have someone else such as Kairi playable in the intro. I fully support the concept for having the Intro during this timeline rather than currently as I feel we'll gain more out of it story wise. Also how random would it be to have inevitable sentences which only Nomura fully understands; a funky song followed by the chess scene then bam here's Kairi to play as. I know I for one would be seriously puzzled. So; that's a few reasons. For me the perfect Intro would be the inevitable sentences which make no sense; a funky song followed by the chess scene; then allowing us to fully explore the secrets and backstory of our main antagonist; perhaps even swaying a few people to his side?, neatly setting the scene for the game; before switching back to the Mysterious Tower and cue the game as Sora.

Very interesting question and whilst it's highly unlikely you pay attention to my posts on other threads; I've been wanting to see Radiant Garden in a trailer for ages. I'm hoping it's not quite complete as I did enjoy exploring the ruins in previous games. However I'd like a compromise; I'd like the world to be developed to an extent where glimpses of previous glory are noticable; however I'd keep some areas still being restored as a reminder of our previous battles in the series.

As a starting point; I'm aware some people might get offended by this topic; but as I respect other's opinions I ask the same for my own. Today's topic is about Xion. For those who love her ( I'm aware people do); I'd really like to understand why? However I'd also like to voice my grievances with her as a character too. Firstly; let's get the controversial point out of the way first- arguably her most memorable moment in 358/2 days was her fading away. However my grievance here is: if the character's greatest ' achievement/memory' is a death then there is an issue, yes I gather it had an impact on Roxas emotionally; but if I ask people to name a top 5 Xion moments list ( her death will top most lists and realistically what other events can fill the list which makes her unique?) Secondly; if she does return in Kh3 ( which due to fan service I believe she will), her death becomes significantly less emotional than if she remains ' dead'. At the current moment she has physically gone and she isn't remembered which is a cruel fate; however if she returns then I'd argue it's diminished due to the fact it's not permeant. Thirdly; what Days does do well in my opinion is highlight the friendship between Axel and Roxas and makes Axel's ambitions throughout KH2 even more noble and tragic. We see the development of how Axel was always there for Roxas and how the absence of one affected the other. This is strengthened in KH2 final mix with the symbolic farewell between the two friends; with both characters in tears ( this is where I admit I was close to joining them). I can't help, but feel Xion is a ' tag-a-long' friend. The person who is more on the side. If she was a love interest for Roxas I'd too have more sympathy for her; however Naminè I'd argue fills that role more ( she has a stronger connection to return I feel). Even if we compare other female lead characters ( Aqua- represents an elder sister/mother role for Ven and a sister role for Terra, Kairi in terms of KH1 was an interest for both Sora and Riku and as the series has advanced has become Sora's driving force as well as being a POH). fourthly; this is more a list of a few things moulded into one paragraph. 1) is she needed for the series to develop?- no is the honest answer ( TAV from what Yen Sid has indicated are needed for the upcoming war, Roxas I believe will become as has been mentioned before by others a denizen of the twilight ( I feel he has potential to wield if there is a Keyblade of the Realm of In Between, adding more depth to his character; Lea returning to Radiant Garden sets up future interactions), but where would Xion go? Yes she was created in CO; however that's likely to be transformed back to the Land of Departure ( Cable Town??), but where would she go and how would she develop? Again I feel she'd be a tag a long character or a Cameo character. 2) she's hardly the most stimulating character- I'm not being harsh here; but in terms of personality and engagement would she make a top 5? Or even a top 10? I don't find her connectable; Sora ;people can relate to an optimistic person, with Riku; people can relate to people who overcome hard trials to succeed. Terra; everyone has a desire to achieve and a lot will go to tremendous steps to achieve it. Even my boy Luxord; people probably know a gambler or someone who analyses in that manner. My list goes on; Kingdom Hearts charactees are relatable; I don't feel Xion has that affect. I gather this will be controversial to some; and I seriously do welcome people saying why they like her; a lot of the characters I like most can't stand ( Luxord and Marluxia); so different tastes are reflected in the series/community. However as I said to start with; I was not aiming to offend and I hope people respect my opinions here and upon reflection can understand what I outlined here.

When the likes of Ephemera appeared in Chi, people automatically jumped on the bandwagon that he could be a seeker of darkness. I myself was semi sympathetic; semi skeptical. Carrying on when Skuld was introduced again people jumped on the bandwagon. Yet excluding the rebirth theory ( which off topic I'm still not a fan of) or some more complicated time travel rubbish, it didn't add up how they could appear in modern times. However, I think this has changed without the need for Xehanort to be alive during the chi era adding a realistic prospective for a change. In the last story update Master Ava expressed knowledge of the up coming keyblade war and revealed her plans to create Dandelions ( awful name I know- especially since they are weeds) to send a special group of keyblade wielders to another world to escape the upcoming war. If Square did wish to pursue this to modern times; then this could work within the storyline. Time flows differently depending on what realm you are in, so I propose the dandelions were sent to another realm. We've seen the Realms of light; darkness; sleep, inbetween. so it's extremely plausible there are other unknown realms out there; therefore if such realm exists then time would flow differently to that of the realm of light where the majority of the series takes place. We know the keyblade war is a historic fact and I hate to break it to people but our own individual characters will probably die ( cheery thought). We also know the worlds were remade and were not United anymore; however I question whether the dandelions were successful. Kairi's grandmother in her fairytale story refers to the light of children being the cause for this. I do not believe these were the dandelions at all; after all if that was the case; one would expect a lot more wielders to present or a wider knowledge; also as those of you know fairy tales focus on all aspects and there isn't record of a ' key shaped weapon' or ' valiant Warriors'. Thereby I conclude the dandelions are still where Ava sent them. This links to KH3 due to the fact if they are lost; you could have a hunt to find them. The idea of Xehanort knowing about this isn't unrealistic; especially since his master or the master's master could have been around to remember that individuals disappeared before the keyblade war. Thus making them the subject of legends almost like a concept of hidden treasure. To provide a brief summary- consider the dandelions like King Arthur in British folklore, powerful and wise and waiting for a return. The interesting outcome would be how precious keyblade wielders adapt the new world they might find themselves in and that could be exploited to serve the darkness either as an ally to Xehanort or as a future antagonist

When the game was first announced many people were irritated by another ' side game' being released by Square. However I disagreed then and I still hold the opinion even more so now that 2.8 is a blessing and well needed. 1) Most important reason ( imo) is that we've hit a brick wall with KH3, we've reverted to what world do you want... Is this world likely to appear even more so... And even worse the negativity has increased tremendously; however this isn't a rant about that... ( believe me I could). Heck people are even excited over a voice actor not recording which is actually a joke. Therefore 2.8 provides us with something NEW to talk about. I have no doubt 0.2 from a lore perspective will provide loads of new topics, eg why did Mickey keep this a secret? How has Aqua found a way to save Terra and Ven? Does this mean Lea isn't a light? Has Sora returned yet; is he a master now? Even in the space of a minute I've thought of new topics to discuss. 2) Back Cover- I included this in a separate paragraph for a number of reasons. Firstly the release of unchained chi ( hello to anyone from my party reading this) has given us something to play and work on until further notice; the plot will be relevant to 3 and also watching back cover will provide us with a complete picture. Also Back Cover has the potential to either dismiss the rebirth theory or greatly enhance it. Again this kick start a debate which we lack real evidence for in the long run. 3) Dream Drop Distance- whilst an old entry to the series; comparing and contrasting the gameplay between the 3ds and ps4 will be fun and it will be interesting to identify differences. 4) first hand look at the Kingdom Shader- this will answer a lot of people's questions regarding the graphics and design of the game 5) character design- I'm sure we all remember the reactions to Mr Shiny Forehead, sorry Yen Sid's design, I for one made a post about good the door and take looked instead; yes I am sad enough to appreciate the surroundings in games- don't mock me, even though you probably will. 2.8 will allow us to see the progress in character designs from that trailer and get an idea what they'll look like in 3. 6) this game serves no harm- I doubt kh3 was scheduled for this year regardless whether this game was a thing or not. Therefore we only gained by having the game being released; we get an old game to enjoy again, a cool film and a new game. Nobody can knock this or would you rather have nothing? Overall, 2.8 is a blessing and I'm throughly looking forward to playing the games/watching the movie and engaging in new debates with people, predicting what the future has in store for us. It is a good time to be a KH fan and we should enjoy ourselves instead of looking for issues all the time. I have a saying ( pun not intended due to my name) that if you look for negatives you'll only find negatives and never see the positives in anything. Have a great weekend whatever you're doing!

Seyin95 replied to The Transcendent Key's topic in Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind
In relation to the AI point. My issue was that the AI was practically useless and enabled you to abuse the OP. Whilst an OP move set might still be there; smarter AI might be able to counter such move set. Eg; say the new Aero spell shown in the trailers can obliviate enemies easily; smarter AI might identify another enemy taking damage and take defensive measures or fleeing such an Attack. It can be done very easily and we know for a fact that the enemies will be a lot smarter in the game -

Seyin95 replied to The Transcendent Key's topic in Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind
My way of looking at it is: these are paid professionals who do this for a living; therefore regarding they aren't completely incompetent then let them get on with it. Also as a company; I can't see SE allowing anything Which would cause a bad reaction at all. That saying; I do respect people's views regarding the air combos and OP ability/spell. However seeing as AI is supposed to be greatly improved, this should diminish the risk of an OP move. Until we physically play the game, this is one ' fear' we won't be able to tell. Overall; things seem ok thus far; but continually knocking people paid to a job; doesn't achieve anything and none of the games gameplay has been an overall disaster and Balloon was useful against dealing with Julius -

I see no reason to doubt your opinion; however I would add with world speculation- I'd take a Disney world announcement and also see San Fransokyo at last and hopefully a new original world ( hoping for Radiant Garden still). Show a few more transformations and hopefully a boss fight other than the Rock Titan and then focus on 2.8 in more depth -
seriously; when you think about it; it could be hugely significant; I doubt it, but it could be an interesting plot twist to cover

I was recently watching some old cutscenes from the first KH game and something Triton said actually got me wondering, who exactly was he referring to when he was talking about the role of the Keyblade Wielder; it was along the lines of ' As the Keyblade Wielder, you must already know- one must not meddle in the affairs of other worlds.' Ok how does he know any of this? Maleficent knew from Xehanort and thus how the Council of Villians knew; but how does Triton know about the other worlds? How did he know what the keyhole was and where it was located? And also what Keyblade Wielder has he encountered before? Sora- he just met and already had the knowledge ( Riku and Kairi can too be ruled out for obvious reasons) TAV- stating the obvious that Atlantica wasn't in BBS and it seems unlikely they visited worlds before then Mickey- possibility; but again unlikely since BBS seemed to be the first time he ventured away; maybe between the 10 years gap; but I cannot think of a reason for him going there at all This leads us to the interesting possibility that Xehanort might have visited the world in the past; that might explain why Triton is Initially sceptical of the Keyblade due to Xehanort's past actions there.. Or it could be a brand new character? Either way; this guy possess info most don't tend to have ame is obviously referring to someone he has had contact with.... Any ideas?
