(SPOILERS) Could this be our 7 lights?
Seyin95 replied to Way2Dawn's topic in Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind
Both Nomura and Brendon Docherty (Senior Marketing at SE) both during E3 confirmed she's under Xehanort's influence. Brendon literally said this during two interviews and Nomura was in I think a Famitsu interview. -
The Struggle of the Lights?
Seyin95 replied to Seyin95's topic in Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind
yes I did, however it has been made clear throughout the series that the GoLs will be keyblade wielders, I mean how can you have a keyblade war without keyblade combatants? However, if we look back to Chi, there were nine shadowy figures during the scene foretelling the Second Keyblade War which probably allude to DG.- 6 replies

Morning all, After going over the previous trailers for KH3, one of the most recurring themes is the triumph of darkness and the struggle of light. Not only do we see this through the continuous reveals of Xehanort's SoDs, but also through the lack of formation of the GoLs. As of our current knowledge we know that Sora, Riku, Mickey, Lea and Kairi will participate in an initial battle against our base groups of enemies. However, that only leaves us at five members. I do not believe this to be a coincidence. Rather crucially the fates of four potential members have been deliberately shown to be fragile. Aqua is under Xehanort's influence, Ven appears to be compromised by Vanitas, Lingering Will is still trying to reclaim his body and the mystery of Roxas continues. Whilst on the Box Art, we have not seen either Xion or Namine, which still leaves their fate unknown- if anything has changed at all thus far regarding them. Add to the mix potentially Riku Replica- who again unlike Data Riku does not seem to be under Xehanort's influence, we now have a missing seven GoLs of light. Again I do not believe this to be a coincidence. The overall theme is about resolution and our seven missing GoLs still have unresolved fates, thus I believe limiting them from being part of the main GoLs going into the Final Battle. Instead, I think the fated battle will happen, but during the initial stages the final two members will become clear. The initial two members from the trailers appear to suggest Terra or at least the Lingering Will and potentially Roxas, due to the fact we can match the background during his reveal matching the same as the one in the Xbox Trailer with Xehanort and his cronies standing on top. However, we do not know the outcome of the Lingering Will's battle nor do we know Roxas's fate- he could well be under Xehanort's influence. We need to see what the final trailers have in store for us and then go over the previous material again.

(SPOILERS) Could this be our 7 lights?
Seyin95 replied to Way2Dawn's topic in Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind
I don't think so, if we remember back to KH CHI, we could see nine shadowy figures vs the thirteen. Whilst I believe DG will participate, they won't be actual Guardians. If we focus on the trailers, it's clear that we have two spaces remaining, however the trailers have made it clear about the current predicaments- Aqua is as far as we know under Xehanort's influence, Ven appears to be potentially compromised, LW is still struggling to reclaim his body and well we know Roxas will be in the Keyblade Graveyard, just which side is unclear. -
What is this "Cloud" world we are seeing?
Seyin95 replied to Chasm's topic in Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind
I've seen a lot of people discussing Kingdom Hearts itself, but what if this is actually Cable Town? What we saw matches the description of Cable Town, the emphasis on light, white background and if you focus on the part where Sora is running around chasing multiple versions of himself, it does look like a 'cable' in the distance. -
Morning all, Today's discussion revolves around Kh3's PR and Advertisement and whether people prefer an 'explosion' category or 'snippet' category. I'll expand upon both categories later on. As we know we recently had the Lucca Conference and from that got a reiteration of news we already new and less than two minutes of Tangled footage. For me this was brilliant, not only does this allow us to compare the progress from previous footage such as E3 2015, but also to focus on the smaller aspects of the world. Nothing too major, nothing too small. Add this to the Screenshots and Halloween 'clip' and we can admit information is being provided. Carrying on, the Demo has had the potential to reach a global audience from the UK, USA and so on- again nothing too major, but it does allow a window of opportunity to have a taster of the game. Combining all of this together we have our 'snippet' category- nothing huge revealed, but rather a gradual continuation of small news. I have no issue with this, as it's fun to see anything, especially if you're like me and like seeing progression. However, and this leads us to our 'explosion' category, 'snippets' don't generate wide interest and with the release date ever so near, I can understand why people might be saddened by this. The 'explosion' category is what we saw at TGS, E3 2018 etc- big trailers, world reveals and plot information. The advantage this category has is that it creates mass interest both externally via worlds and internally via plot. Whilst this is good, there have rightfully been questions asked about how much is too much? Now in relation to 'explosion' vs 'snippet' from a PR perspective going big all the time can be harmful and inappropriate and instead being selective is probably the best step. With the release date so far, I'd personally go for the strategy of 'snippets' until JF, where that is the prime time for an 'explosion'- give us a world reveal and what not to generate interest with a month to go and then finish in January with the Opening. It's deeply fascinating how SE are going about this and people's reaction to the PR the far too.

I honestly wasn't expecting anything huge from Lucca and I wasn't wrong, a reiteration of news we already new and more of a snippet than a trailer. That being said, I enjoyed it, KOC looks a lot of fun to explore and Rapunzel seems genuinely fun as a party member. I did suspect that 100 Acre Wood might have been revealed as a smaller convention seemed ideal for this. Whilst big news is fun, I am enjoying the smaller snippets whether it's footage, screenshots or what not- good job Square.

Should Riku be killed off?
Seyin95 replied to Chasm's topic in Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind
Riku's death just seems way too obvious for my liking, yes I accept he has had the greatest character development in the series and he has rightfully become a master. When it comes to death, I always question whether it's an essential act- for me I'd argue in Riku's case no- instead I'd have him replace Xehanort. Not as the next antagonist, but as the Solitary Master who travels the worlds keeping an eye on safety and looking for answers. You can then moving forward choose to use him as you see fit. Plus from an economic point of view killing Riku makes little sense as the Riku merch does sell and he does have a large cult following. -
I made a speculation thread a few months ago about my reasonings why I think RG will return. Every game it has appeared in it has been vital and we've always had a major plot progression too. I cannot fathom why this world would not be playable, whilst I think TT will be our hub world, I think we will visit RG and have this playable- after all we still have unsolved plot elements here, plus our Restoration Committee friends are here, also imagine a fully restored RG in the Kingdom Shader- it's too good of an opportunity waste.

So if Sora fights Aqua...
Seyin95 replied to AwesomeKHfan's topic in Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind
My opinion on this is that towards the beginning Riku and Mickey will lose to her and be forced to retreat, this will result in Mickey and Riku looking for Terra and Ven, especially if he has been compromised and needs to be found. Kind of imagine a Benny Hill comedy sketch, but in this case more serious. Sora will return to Destiny Islands and will find the Master's Defender and thus will be able to access the Realm of Darkness to face Aqua. I believe the combined strength of Sora and Ven and potentially Roxas will help Sora overpower her. -
San Fransokyo plot idea
Seyin95 replied to Iscreamer1's topic in Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind
Whilst I agree with above that such a direction would diminish important aspects of the film. However I can see two potential storylines being implemented. Either we see Hiro tempted by the darkness to revive Tadashi, which in relation to the film wouldn't make sense or Hiro trying to convince Sora that whilst someone might be gone physically, they are always in or memories/hearts and never forgotten. This could tie directly to Roxas too. -
This has always ben an enigma for me and like as has been mentioned, I do believe this relates to significant future plot aspects. I'd expand upon that as I think the re:Connect part will allude to the finale of KH3 and will focus on resolutions of the series. Every game has been gearing up for this and the purpose of the secret movies is to promote the next game, what will be interesting is in KH3's secret movie if it appears again. I'm personally hoping for a new message to create a new question to be asked

Vexen and Demyx's plan
Seyin95 replied to Finn and vigor's topic in Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind
I'll admit I groaned at this section in the trailer. One of them was lazy and hardly seems the type to want to participate in a war and the other is a scientist. Whilst Vexen certainly has the potential to be useful, it seems strange why Demyx would bring someone to Ienzo, unless they want to convert him too? We know Ansem is back and we know that some of the ex members of the organisation will help Sora. If they are fully norted, then I'm sorry but MX is desperate to re use so many ex members who were easily beaten in the past. -
If we are keeping things in line with the numbered titles then Hayden should come back or at least have the role offered to her. If she's tied down or doesn't want the role then fair enough, whilst this isn't anything personal against Stoner, I've never particularly warmed to her version of Kairi. In the past this hasn't been an issue due to Kairi's usage as a character and when she has had a more significant role, then it's been Hayden voicing her. End of the day, time has moved on and people's careers have advanced etc, as a substitute option Stoner isn't bad, it's just getting used to her.

It's a hard one, whilst the rules are pretty clear you can't control everyone's actions. I don't know the person who initially leaked the screenshot or information, so I won't judge them for doing so. They might well have had good intentions, nor can we blame the people online who covered it, it's their job to cover news etc. Word inevitably gets out, the people who miss out are the people who travelled especially to play the demo.

That's actually exciting news, out of all the songs 'Don't Think Twice' in my opinion is my least favourite. Since it has been a long wait and this is the final game of the DS saga, we need a fast paced song to 'pump' us up for the upcoming adventure. As a closing song DTT serves a purpose, but what Simple and Clean and Sanctuary succeeded in was making you excited for the game and even all these years later, they still deliver on that front. Didn't we have news about a Japanese DJ contributing to KH3 awhile ago too? Perhaps that's the Japanese version and we will have this one as the English one?

Cable Town Discussion
Seyin95 replied to Seyin95's topic in Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind
I just find the whole situation odd. At least BH6 was announced publicly and we did get a reason why we didn't see anything for so long. With this, it's only been seen at a private event and nothing since, that's the difference between BH6 and this. -
One of the biggest unresolved mysteries regarding KHIII still surrounds Cable Town. By now, we should know the concept, but what surprises me is how nothing has ever materialised about this, especially when you now look at the reveals they have made (especially in relation to character plot.) Whilst, I am not expecting any information at either event at TGS, this does seem a good time to re-raise the discussion again. My theory for Cable Town was that this was the original Land of Departure and that we would restore it back to its original glory similar to Hollow Bastion and Radiant Garden, the history was forgotten, but not lost. However, in the last trailer it seems that the Land of Departure has already been restored, which to a certain extent debunks my theory. Carrying on, Roxas' location does not seem to match the description of CT either, unless it's in a destroyed form and by the end it will be reformed. Now, I believe the mystery of Cable Town has four potential revelations. Firstly, it's a concept that has been dropped and is no longer a part of KHIII. Secondly, Cable Town was merely a concept name/code name for a world we already know- which would support the Land of Departure theory. Thirdly, we have seen Cable Town already- I.E the Chess Location, it has just not been revealed to us yet. Whilst this is plausible, it does seem odd why Nomura or somebody when discussing the scene has not mentioned this fact or even said "oh this is a new location etc." Fourthly, and this is something I can see happening- this location will become important in the ongoing UX storyline and will eventually be revealed in certain updates. We know that eventually the plot will have an impact on KHIII and the presence of our new leaders will be felt throughout the game, I think a few of us are expecting an original world relating to UX, so perhaps this will be it. Also this would explain why it's not been mentioned. I just find it weird that after all these years, nothing has ever come up about this publicly and perhaps we never will know the truth about the legend of Cable Town.

My initial thought was either the Mansion area from TT, however the architecture doesn't add up. Possibly an area of KG? I mean there has to be more to the world than purely open wastelands. Possibly Agrabah, I've always had the belief that we might get 3 returning worlds and the Desert Ruins in the Kingdom Shader wouldn't be a totally wild shot, especially since we know Roxas has been there too in the past. My best bet is it's part of this original world that's been mentioned a few times, I'm hoping there's some clarification or tease soon so we can go on.
-
You've got to believe something new will come out of this, Yasue is too important to send to discuss merely what we know. We could have a discussion about what will happen in the worlds, but even that seems like 'small information.' The original worlds wouldn't really be a spoiler as such, what I am hoping for is conformation on Cable Town and what exactly this is?
-
We have two events coming up, one with the Japanese VAs of Aqua and Sora and someone from the Dev team, I think they are doing a Q&A amongst other things which will be interesting and I think it's Tai Yasue is having a discussion about the worlds of KHIII. What is unclear is whether it's about what we know or anything new added. For me personally, this is as good as any to announce 100 Acre Wood as we really don't need a trailer for that.
