    according to the ending of kh3D (and a Wikipedia article on the plot of DDD) it was stated that "Ventus had a smile on his face, showing Sora's happiness, and stating that he will eventually wake up soon." I don't know about you guys, but I would love to play as Ventus again. "but what about Vanitas?" You may ask. I think that Vanitas will NOT return in kh3, because of the events that took place in BBS. However, Xehanort always has a backup plan to his backup plan. So, do you think Ventus will return?

In all seriousness, I think Xeahnort will use Sora's failed Mark Of Mastery exam to "weaken his heart" and allow him inside of Sora's heart to get Ventus's heart and forge the X-blade that he has spent so many years to get after.
