  1. Which causes issues....this is a plot hole. THe heart is made up of memories, light, and darkness.
  2. i think those who love her, should know what a gimmicky character she really is (don't get me started on Aqua). Ansems' hidden data will be what? The other plot hole is how he's going to bring "EVERYONE" back when each person has their own circumstances. if one "grows" a heart. then the heart is more of a virus. Think about Organization 13....they are nobodies and if they "grow" a heart, what happens to their original? The problem with "growing" a heart is a problem.
  3. OK Kaito Daimon. At some level, you know there's more to it than that. Open your eyes. Xion's personality was really just how Sora saw Kairi. And in the end, she fell for the mopey, running away and coming back syndrome. She was brought back in the sense that Sora accepts her in her heart.
  4. Xion isn't a good character based on the fact that she is recycled from multiple aspects from the series only tso she can be relevant in one game to explain a certain time. She has absolutely no hope of coming back,a nd trying to bring her back would result i n more bad writing.
  5. #1 should've been explained in Kingdom Hearts 3D. THe problem is that just because there's an answer for everything, doesn't make it good. doesn't make it a valid reason to do all of what has been. For example: There was a reason for Xion being made into existence...doesn't mean Xion was a good character.
  6. The definition of Convoluted is complex and difficult to follow. So if we get more answers, it doesn't change the fact that at this point its already convoluted. there's no turning back on what was already placed. @Flaming_Lea that explaination nomura gave just seals the fact that the series has gone to convoluted and plot holes and has to try so hard to explain bigger problems.
  7. Ok...you see, at this point you must see the seriousness of your comment. Does your comment confirm what is good or not? No...its only confirming that the kingdom hearts series is feeding you that want to make theories. Theories are great....but the series shouldn't have to constantly make up theories. (For the record, there's no theory producing with time-travel, its just a bad aspect). I would highly recommend learn what makes a good story. YOu might be surprised how bad the series has fallen.BUT FOR THE SAKE OF STAYING ON TOPIC:Kingdom hearts plot holes: 1) Organization 13. their goals were practically useless in chain of memories and kh2. Their goal was to create Kingdom Hearts made up of people's hearts so that they could gain hearts. But suddenly Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance claims that they are there because they already had hearts within them and were designed to make the 13 seekers of darkness.2) The fact that in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days, the game suggests that the second keyblade is in fact Xion herself. When in reality, the keyblade is Ventus's (confirmed by the story).3) The keyblades were originally sentient and had conscience, but now dumbed down to the Mark of Mastery made by MAsters only to give them the classification of Masters, and if one merely "touches" the keyblade that belongs to a master that passes down.4)Nothing suggesting Axel/Lea was a keyblade wielder or even that he earned one, or that he even wanted a keyblade. IN fact everything pointed out that he preferred his own weapon, and yet suddenly he has one just out of curiosity.
  8. I "didn't" grow up with kingdom hearts, i was at the right age of knowing what good writing was by the time Kingdom Hearts 2 came out. What you're saying is also opinion, but even worst. You're even including how you are bias by saying you grew up with is. I didn't. I however followed the series and played each game extensively. Kingdom Heart series also relies on mystery more than anything else. You can't possibly tell me its good after what we've seen so far in the series. It had broken some of the more serious sins that writing has. Take it from someone who actually studies writing and played Kingdom Hearts at an age where the nostalgia and all that didn't cloud me from knowing what is good or not. And just because you enjoy a series does not mean a series has good writing. thats just you trying to defend your sense of taste and quality.
  9. You just asked why is it not deep. thats what i'm explaining. And i beg to differ. XIon inclusion was stupid. the idea of Vanitas was unnecessary. And the fact that time travel was in no way a good way to expand the story. it was an excuse and it wasn't even important in the end. if you knwo what good writing was, you would know Kingdom hearts has had some of the dumbest writing ever.
  10. Its not whether it gets explained or not, its the fact that it does it on purpose. The series isn't trying to be deep anymore.
  11. The series relies on plot twists and things that unexplainable, or when they are explained it barely makes any sense. Each game after kh2 relied on plot-twists. Xion being a replica, Vanitas having Sora's face and the X-blade, and Master Xehanort time traveling. all designed not to expand the story, but just to throw us off.
  12. I own a ps4. but if i didn't i would've saved up for one just for KH3
  13. I think people are over doing it when they say there is absolutely no rialry. Keep in mind theres a difference between rivalry among enemies and rivalry among friends. In kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance, it was confirmed that there is still a friendly rivalry going on. But i think the bigger issue is that there is little room to develop friendships in the series. The main story isn't about their dynamic except for 3D and chain of memories. but other than that, its been a search and rescue mission before then.
  14. The bigger problem i find with Kairi in Kingdom Hearts 2 was more on the lines of her drastic personality changes. Kairi in kingdom hearts 1 was distinguishable and interesting despite being captured. Nomura in an interview claims she matured, but she really just had a personality shift. Kairi in Kingdom hearts 2 just stares at the beach and only thinks about him. Regardless of "when" she went to look for Sora, there could've been more to build up on it. For example, how she spent her time between kh1 and kh2. She decided to go find Sora, how was she going to do it? At least make another kh1 reference where she builds a raft to get to another world. And the fact that she has a weapon shouldn't make her interesting at all. Do all characters need to fight in order to be interesting? Namine is a very important character and she is important NOT because she can fight.
  15. i dont think the problem if it is a bad or good design, its a matter of it fitting Sora's style.
  16. If you're familiar with it SE's track record with Playstation One, we would've definitely seen a turn-based game, low poly to the point that every thing was pointy, less mini games such as gummi ships, no voice acting, and definitely we would've seen multi-disc. we might have not even seen less worlds with less areas to go to. It wouldn't have been the most pleasant experience compared to the 1-disc, polished-graphics, fully voice-acted. My best bet is that it would've looked around Re:coded's design, with less.
  17. The difference between 358/2 Days is that it wasn't intended to really expand on the series, it was based on fan service to play as Organization 13. Birth by Sleep is a main title but its still designed to tell the story leading up to the events of Kingdom Hearts series. Rebirth and 3D still have Sora playable, so there's no point mentioning that. With all that said, i do like the idea of having Sora as a boss as we can see some of SOra's more signature moves. But at the same time, it has been confirmed that Kingdom Hearts is "Sora's story". So it would defeat the purpose of making him a "secret" boss. A regular boss? perhaps.
  18. I always start the games on Proud mode. I dont want to go to critical without getting a proper feel of the game, otherwise i will have to grind too much. At the same time, i dont want too easy and recently standard has been feeling on the easy side.
  19. Their rivalry didn't exactly ended in kh2. they only acknowledge. Kingdom Hearts 3D actually did acknowledge that there was some form of rivalry going on, but it was more casual. I dont think its their rivalry that needs to be expanded, but they still need more of a dynamic going on.
  20. I will say that Sora's design has been getting closer and clsoer to the plain side. I understand back then black was suitable so that Sora could have different, more flashy forms with the drive form. But with his new outfit, willw e receive drive forms again? My problem with it is that it looks lesss mickey-ish which doesn't compliment Donald and Goofy all that well.
  21. exactly what Catmaster had said. the Dusk were glitching the system. Keep in mind that Roxas was also believing he had memories with the rest of the trio in order to regain the missing memories inside him (and give them back to sora).
  22. I would like to see the original versions of Marluxia, Larxene, Luxord, and Demyx. Despite Marluxia and Larxene being the main antagonists, i think they can be quite interesting as good guys or at least supportive role.
  23. Keyblades have been confirmed manmade around Dream Drop Distance and Kingdom Hearts X. Riku used soul eater as a catalyst to summon the real thing. Its not to say that all keyblade wielders forged their own keyblades, but there was a time when people can create their own keyblade. Xion's keyblade is a fake because its based on memories. She isn't actually summoning an actual keyblade. The memory allows her to create an artificial one. Which to the organization it was "real enough" due to still being able to collect hearts. Its completely different from physically creating a real keyblade not based on memories.
