the TRUE ANIMAL(S) on Xehanort's Keyblade
ladydualwieldin replied to MasterLorX's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
Agreed, but most fans missed it and continue to call it a goat. so THANK YOU FOR THIS POST, it's about time I saw someone clear that up, orz. -

Regarding Anguis in the trailer
ladydualwieldin replied to ladydualwieldin's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
Haha no, it's okay! I'm only caught up with the NA version, so someone had to clarify for me too. -
Regarding Anguis in the trailer
ladydualwieldin replied to ladydualwieldin's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
I think Unicornis was referring their copies of the Book of Prophecies (he says that the "current event is nowhere to be found," which might refer to the missing page that he brings up). But considering Vulpes sounded like Hayden and Leopardos could pass for Jesse with a different voice, it's probably not a stretch to say Unicornis and Ursus are David and Jason, respectively, just using much deeper tones; that rebirth theory is definitely looking more likely either way. -
Regarding Anguis in the trailer
ladydualwieldin replied to ladydualwieldin's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
Agreed! It's not as much of a giveaway as the JP trailers have been. -
so did anyone else notice this or Aqua has a very particular stance when she stands, so that jumped out at me right away. Her sitting position too, tho. And the fact that Anguis' VA sounds like Willa Holland with a higher pitch...

The identity of the hooded man
ladydualwieldin replied to The 13th Kenpachi's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
Hmm, well, we don't know the amount of time between KHX and the present games, but it seems like it should be a long time (several hundred if not 1000+ years), which would make Hoodie way too old to be Xehanort's master (presumably). That aside, Eraqus turned out very light-oriented, but Hoodie is clearly of the "ew too much light" opinion; and it's questionable why Eraqus would have been named the next Master of the Land of Departure when Xehanort should have been Hoodie's favorite for being more "sensible" in being interested in darkness. Also, the Land of Departure is kept in a careful balance, but Hoodie seems intent on darkness winning out; it seems strange for him to be one of the Masters in charge of preserving that balance. And consider Eraqus' remark in BBS: "the precepts bar us from such knowledge." That sounds like someone (I would think someones, over time, again suggesting a large time gap since the war) decided to make rules that said the X-blade is an off-limits topic; if the war was really only 100 years ago or so and Hoodie survived it, that would mean he was the one in charge of setting up these precepts, which wouldn't really have a purpose when he only had two students and no reason to hide it. I do think Hoodie could be the sixth foreteller, though, and that he has something to do with Xehanort's lion Keyblade. But I'm leaning more towards Hoodie/the sixth foreteller being either Xehanort's ancestor (if you believe the Rebirth Theory) or maybe even Xehanort himself, somehow (by extension. that definitely wasn't a Xehanort-ish personality, but we've seen that you can be Xehanort, half-Xehanort, and anything in-between, so WHO KNOWS...). -
I'm going with the obvious one, the super shifty sixth foreteller guy, because when has KH ever been secretive about who the bad guy is?

I'm sad to say that I'm so used to hackers on leaderboards in other games that I'm pretty unfazed by this, personally. Yeah, it sucks, and "everyone does it" certainly isn't an excuse, but there's definitely more to the game than the high scores (the story and collecting medals are my interests), so I hope too many people aren't put off by this. And a lot of the time, hackers don't do it for rewards (many leaderboards don't offer anything for placing) but more for the lulz or because they're just bored. Even if KHUX did something as drastic as take away the rewards system, we'd still see this problem, sadly.

Continuing down this rabbit hole (KH Rebirth theory)
ladydualwieldin replied to Kaweebo's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
Ah, see, I thought Anguis and Ava definitely sounded like Willa (just with a higher pitch) and Hayden, respectively. Also-- ^this. If you listen to Jesse's role as Robin in Young Justice, Gula isn't much of a stretch. As for Ira and Aced, we simply don't know how David Gallagher and Jason Dohring sound when they deepen their voices, so it could very well be them (the difference between Sora and Vanitas, anyone?). Additionally, if you watch the Japanese trailer, the VAs do seem to match up with the Rebirth Theory (although I wouldn't bet my life on it since I'm not Japanese and I can't distinguish voices as well as I could in my native language), so it doesn't make sense that they would cast Willa, Hayden, and Jesse only to skip over the other two, especially when Jason was already there voicing Terra. Or there may be another reason for switching VAs, but I agree that different voices don't kill the theory. Aced and Ira could just be older than their rebirth counterparts and thus needed more mature sounding voices, even. -
Weekly Union Rankings 5/30 - 6/5

I'm more interested each week in seeing who takes 3rd between Anguis and Leopardos, since we always seem to be battling closely for it. -
KHUX KH Unchain is fun but a bit pricy
ladydualwieldin replied to Kingdomkey_n_n's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
I agree the prices are kind of ridiculous, but English players do have a bit of an advantage in that we can check the JP game's history to see what medals are eventually coming, so we can pick and choose what draw events we participate in more carefully. (I've been hoarding all my jewels in anticipation of the eventual BBS medals, for example.) I agree that we need the daily jewel missions, though. -
I need your help! - Survey for College
ladydualwieldin replied to Kaneki Flesheater's topic in General Discussion
Done! I hope you get all the responses you need. (I've also seen the "toxic" label thrown around, and... no. Anyone who says the KH community is toxic has clearly never been in an actually toxic community. There are a lot of opinions in this fandom that I don't agree with, but rarely is anyone a jerk about it. We're definitely one of the more open and friendly groups out there. ^^ ) -

Kingdom Hearts Fist Fights
ladydualwieldin replied to The 13th Kenpachi's topic in Random & Forum Games
this is my kind of topic Dolan vs Gooby - idk man, we saw how Dolan jumped Yao without so much as blinking. He's originally a sailor so he's probably been in a few bar fights. I'm gonna say Dolan. Ansem SOD or Xemnas - These guys are both ripped, so it's hard to say, but we've seen that Xemnas is very proficient in fighting in close-quarters while Ansem relies mostly on his Guardian and magic. So Xemnas. Sora (KH2) vs Riku (KH2) - We've seen that Riku's willing to play dirty, and Sora's not the brawler type, so Riku. Terra vs Apprentice Xehanort - Xehanort's too busy being creepy and mysterious to know how to brawl. Terra. Ventus vs Roxas - oooh. hm. If you wanna get technical, wielding a sword backhand the way Ven does requires more forward arm movements and thrusts, and he does a lot of quick backstepping and other footwork in his fighting style; Roxas' movements are heavier and rely more on slashes. Long story short, I'd say Ven would adjust more quickly to throwing and dodging punches, so he would have the upper hand. Xion vs Kairi - I'm gonna say Xion, just because she has more battle experience. Old Xehanort vs Old Eraqus - Hm. Well, we've seen that Xehanort can crush steel with his bare hands, and can hold someone as big as Terra at bay with only one hand, sooo I'mma say Xehanort. Mickey vs Stitch - As talented as Mickey is, Stitch's super strength is no joke. Stitch. -
Terra And His Role In KH3
ladydualwieldin replied to TheKeyofRose's topic in Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind
^THIS. I think all of the lost wielders are going to end up participating in the final battle, and I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see any of them until pretty late in the game. As for Terra specifically... it makes no sense to me for him to be a Seeker of Darkness (it utterly contradicts his character development shown in Blank Points, and I think DDD gave very strong hints that he isn't) and I don't think Terranort could possibly exist at this point as a being (old man!Xehanort was reborn in DDD, after all). I would think that his heart is somewhere else and we just need to find it. BUT WE SHALL SEE. -
Terra's >10 year time gap
ladydualwieldin replied to catmaster0116's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
Well, regarding KH3, I don't think Terranort is even a being anymore at this point, but I do think Terra is seriously going to take some names. And agreed, it could be that his dormant rage building up for all those years was what caused that sudden spike in ability and brutality. Another thing I'm hoping KH3 will answer! -
^This! I'm really fond of games that allow you to mix and match abilities rather than giving you a cut-and-dry list of moves (although I like those, too) and since KH3 is an RPG, it might focus more on the optional aspects of gameplay by letting you choose different styles according to your preferences (in addition to the already-present choices of spells, party members, accessories, etc). Even the attraction flow in DDD was optional for the most part, as were the D-Link system and Shotlocks in BBS, so KH3 could be similar.

He also has some plants and an empty birdcage! I wonder what the story is behind some of this stuff.
