Is Aqua the primary protagonist for Birth by Sleep?
Shimmy replied to a topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
Each character is important for sure, but I would consider Aqua the equivalent of the main protagonist. Riku's the protagonist of Dream Drop Distance, but Sora's role is still clear for example. Birth by Sleep wasn't exactly structured in a way were you're meant to look through the lens of the protagonist, and was instead built in a way were you play as a different character who deals with the problem at hand with a different perspective making it an incomplete story if you only see one. That being said, if I were to choose the protagonist or the ' Sora' of the game, it'd be Aqua. She's really the only character who actually accomplishes something against the antagonists of the game, and it speaks volumes to me. That's just my interpretation though. I didn't feel the need to comment because I figured others would vocalize the same. But hey, if no one else is saying something I'll give my perspective X)- 21 replies

Square Enix has confirmed that it will cost $59.99 and it currently has a placeholder date of 12/30/2016. Does it particularly make sense because 1.5 and 2.5 were $40? Nah not really, but then again, this game is for the ps4 instead of the ps3 and will have a preview of Kingdom Hearts 3 gameplay so that probably jacked up the price a bit. I'm personally excited but I don't blame others for not being so.

What's The Craziest Thing You've Ever Done In KH?
Shimmy replied to Tails's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
I kid. I was trying to reference a Spongebob quote haha I'm not particularly good at Kingdom Hearts gameplay wise, but I'm decent enough to be able to beat the games on proud mode. Nothin' special. -

I'll have you know I beat dream drop distance on beginner's mode and only cried for 20 minutes -
Ah we don't celebrate my birthday or Christmas or anything. I do however really enjoy buying gifts for my friends; their happy faces make me happy!

Depends on what you mean by temper. If it's just silly fights? That's natural friend. I'd recommend trying to talk your insecurities with her and I'm certain you'll work it out. If you don't trust your own temper: take a bit of a breather, if you think you are in any way a danger to this girl then it's probably best to end it. As the others said, for the most part you'll have to use your own judgement. I wish you the best of luck.

Updated XIII Seekers of Darkness
Shimmy replied to a topic in Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind
Actually Saïx was unaware of his possession; he had no idea what Xemnas was planning and Xigbar even taunts him for it. Saïx betrayed the organization with Axel because he was aware that Xemnas wasn't a trustworthy person. The real irony of the situation is that Saïx and Axel planned to usurp the organization in order to guarantee access to their hearts with Saïx gathering intel and Axel doing the 'icky' jobs, but Xemnas was aware of their betrayal from the get go so it just made things worse lol. That being said anyone with eyes can see that Saïx was definitely at least under some of Xehanort's influence during this time while Marluxia doesn't give any sort of obvious hints. So it's possible that Saïx was still considered while Marluxia was cut simply because Saïx was already possessed. The trust is relatively iffy considering though I guess you can argue it’s logical to avoid adding even more distrust to the organization but ehhhhh, Xehanort tried to add Sora as well so he’s just a big hypocrite. Basically I think while you can argue that Marluxia’s circumstances were different then Saïx’s, the actual reasoning for Saïx>Marluxia on Xehanort’s half is rather ridiculous, but knowing Xehanort this is absolutely possibly. Either way I still think Marluxia is a possibility as do you. I’m down for whatever. Ah everyone seems to unanimously agree that Skuld has Xehanort’s eyes, though personally I think they look more brown. But eh, could be the chi art style of course. Even if Skuld has the ‘eyes’ she certainly has the amber variety compared to the usual yellow… just something to note. I feel like eye color always serves a hint. Oh and was it confirmed that Ephemera’s Chirithy was the dark one? Jfc I really need to log into Chi and play catch up. I am basically convinced that those two have some sort of connection with Xehanort regardless. I’m not sure if it’s vessel or something else, but I think it’s safe to assume that there’s something going on. I mainly added Demyx out of the fact no one seems to even consider him. He has his benefits and he’s far from unsuspicious in my opinion, but yeah he does seem a bit of a pushover for nort material haha. I just like to keep my opinions open. And I understand your reasoning with Xion completely! Admittedly Xion’s utilization did not immediately occur to me because well, she personally feels already more utilized than Kairi. But following patterns and given Xion’s unusual case, it’s definitely possible that she’ll be used in ways I did not initially anticipate. Whether it be Xehanort’s vessel or something else, I’ll be sure to keep note of her, so thanks for opening my eyes I guess lol- 22 replies

Let us pray to the Nomura gods that is not the case. Actually the reason for the name 2.8 is because it would be the 2.6 HD Kingdom Hearts Collection but the never before played BBS content is apprently '0.2' thus, 2.8. Well that's what I've been told anyways ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Updated XIII Seekers of Darkness
Shimmy replied to a topic in Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind
This list is so nice oh my gosh. It has nice reasoning and everything, it's really well written! Ahhh the foreteller keyblade idea is so cool to me... Since it's a given that every member will get a keyblade, at least do it in style amirite? I think it's more likely that each member will receive their own mini version of soul-eater or something, but I wouldn't say the foreteller's keyblades isn't a possibility. Also I'm biased because Anguis's keyblade has my favorite design. I must say, I have no idea why people are so quick to dismiss Marluxia as a candidate for darkness when Saïx exists. I'm almost inclined to state the "weakness of trust" line as utter bs, seeing as how when you get into perspectives of things Saïx's betrayal was even more personal then Marluxia's. Saïx has a direct hatred/distrust for Xemnas. Marluxia's was more of a matter of pride which, in theory, could be easily taken care of if you just possess him. Likewise the amount of trust within the true organization xiii is laughable at best: Xigbar's just in it for the goods, Xemnas is just a puppet of someone who despises Xehanort, Ben Diskin heavily implied Young Xehanort doesn't exactly like his elder self, and Saïx is the literal definition of a traitor. If anything, I can easily see Marluxia take a Xigbar-esque route; he's power-hungry and a megalomaniac. That being said I don't necessarily think he's confirmed as vessel, I just think him being one is a definite possibility. As for Luxord I'm definitely behind this. I don't have a lot to say that wasn't already given besides the fact that Luxord has always rubbed me the wrong way since when I first played Kingdom Hearts. Not particularly damning evidence I know, but the personal gut feeling remains. I also personally wouldn't dismiss Demyx as a possibility. He's certainly unmotivated and apathetic, but people seem to forget he's actually very clever. While originally taken as a comedic line, his belief that "[he] does have a heart]" has a whole new meaning after what Xemnas told Sora in dream drop distance. Axel did call Demyx 'a master of recon' after all. I'm just saying stay open to the possibility though. Demyx as a nort isn't my first thought admittedly, but it's far from the last. I agree with the others that I'm a bit iffy on Skuld and Ephemera, although you already updated the list of course! Ephemera and Skuld definitely will play a big role in the scheme of things, but I feel as if we don't know enough about them to really mark them as possible candidates...yet. Of course there's the whole dandelion thing to take into consideration. And finally I'm not sure how I feel about Xion. I've heard lots of theories on this, yet I remain indifferent. Ah sorry for this wall of text, I tend to ramble.- 22 replies

Made a letter and would like feedback..
Shimmy replied to xXMikey1stXx's topic in General Discussion
I see nothing wrong with it. It seems genuine enough and I'm sure she won't be too intimidated or anything. Do whatever you think is the right choice friend. -
I SUCK AT NICKNAMES I APOLOGIZE. My current Sceptile's name is Venice. I typically go with naming themes but when I'm not doing a theme I typically name my Treecko off of spices, herbs, or the name of famous swords. Ex. Coriander, Chervil, Nutmeg, Thyme... (sorry I'm lame). For swords I've once did Masamune for my favorite historical samurai, Foil... etc. If you get a female one you should totally name it Jasmine after me . I've also done Alder and Holly for obvious reasons lol. Occasionally I do chemistry like Redux or MG terms because I am actually a huge nerd. As for Blaziken, I have one named Atticus while my Swampert's name is Peanut. I again apologize for the lack of real suggestions rip

Please do Treecko ahhh he's my all time favorite after 13 years of playing Pokémon. Treecko is the best. (Haha of course choose what you want though)

I never got to know you well but you seemed like a kind passionate person. I'm sorry to see you go, especially because I never got to meet you, but I highly recommend and support you to do whatever is best for your mental health. Treat yourself and relax, you deserve it friend. I believe Flaming Lea's advice is the best I can give so I'll just reiterate: Relax some and clear your mind, come back if you're feeling up to it because you might find things better when stress and frustration isn't clouding your experience. If you're never feeling ready, don't sweat it. Your health is and always should be your top priority. Regardless, please be aware that myself and as I'm sure many others would welcome you back with open arms. Rest well and feel better soon, I give you my best wishes.

Anyone else grown out of Kingdom Hearts?
Shimmy replied to The 13th Kenpachi's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
I tend to pace my interests as moods, but I never particularly grow out of anything. If I like something I like something, and it's almost always constant. Occasionally I'll feel like something else but I still like everything else. Kind of like you have your favorite foods, and occasionally you crave one more then the other. Pokemon is my favorite food, but lately I've been in the mood for kicking back and watching cartoons. That being said my love for Pokemon and Kingdom Hearts remains intact. As for the series going downhill? That's completely subjective. I get the impression that you prefer darker plots better suited for adults, which is a-ok. For me? I like a little spice in my life but I always need silliness to balance it out as well. The absurdity that is the Kingdom Hearts plot is well suited for me, as I enjoy deciphering codes and connecting ridiculous hints in a way. I enjoy how this series has emotional, serious moments, and I especially enjoy how it has it's comedic and adorable moments. It's not for everyone, but it's for me. As the series progresses and gets more complicated I have more room to investigate and pick up on little hints. It's fun for me. I also don't focus on negatives even if I'm aware they're there. I am well aware and won't deny the complications done to plot by the inclusion of time travel, but frankly, it's just dumb fun for me and I won't ever let it bother me. I also try to avoid voicing negatives because one man's trash is another's treasure. Something that may make me roll my eyes may bring joy to others and I won't let my own feelings get them. Generally watching other people appreciate things I had trouble appreciating myself brings myself joy, though I admit it might not be for everyone. I just personally like immature things. Your feelings are completely understandable and logical, I just can't say that I personally agree. As someone who signed up to talk about Kingdom Hearts on a Kingdom Hearts Forum I feel inclined to speak as someone who enjoys the series for what it is. Kingdom Hearts is a fun way to pass the time for me and I have my doubts it'll ever be irritating to me. -
KHUX Kh X spoilers! Re:Coded connection

I apologize you lost me. Are you referring on how the dandelions infiltrated the realm of sleep in order to ensure keyblade successors? As in they abandoned their own world condemned to ruin and took over a new world? Bit of an iffy connection if that's it haha, but I honestly don't know exactly what you mean ;w; -
I figured ^^ but I figured I'd share just in case you didn't know because, y'know it's related to the topic. As for any English headcanons at the moment? I don't particularly have any, namely because I'm staying clear from theories.
