  1. It's a great scene! But the meddling fools line... D: haha, Disney villains. So unoriginal with their phrases.
  2. Aurora urged her wings to go faster as she caught sight of land. It was cold up there, but she could handle it. If flying higher meant that she would reach her destination faster, and be able to continue her research on a cure, then she would willingly accept the consequences. That meeting had reminded her too much of her friends from the empire. They had argued like that frequently, especially after the majority of them were infected. With the gloom and the fall of the empire... They were too weakened, they hadn't made it. Even Saturn... That had been when she started research. Aurora had promised not to let the gloom claim any more of her friends, and she didn't intend to break that promise. The land flew by underneath her, a flurry of green, white, yellow brown, and blue. 'Almost there,' she thought to herself. The personification of the winter solstice was not overly concerned that the infected holidays would come after her. There was really no motive other than her research, and she had done a pretty good job of keeping that quiet. The only other close to possible reason would be demoralizing the other holidays, and the infection of any holiday would do that. Aurora went into a dive as she reached Newgrange. The marble was intact, no sign of disturbance, and she couldn't sense anyone. Great. Rushing to the center chamber, the idealist holiday pulled a stone to the side, entering the hidden network of hallways. She grabbed a book, two journals, a pen, and her library card. As an afterthought, she ripped out a page and wrote a short note, in case the Varmill showed up. 'Hello V, I am off to the library. You can probably guess which one, we have been there together. I should be back soon. Good luck. -A.' 'Right, then.' Aurora smiled, 'Next stop, Trinity College library, Dublin.'
  3. Aurora looked down at the mass of light she had gathered. Not great, but it would do for maybe ten seconds or so. Ok, that was being optimistic. Ten at best, five at worst. Regardless, Aurora released the light in a concentrated bust towards the targets. Now she had to clear a bit of ground by the door. One swing of her scythe took out three more, but she would have to be more careful, she had to dive to avoid an attack from a skeleton. Just then, the light hit. For anyone not targeted it would look like a small flash, like fireworks, but to Lir, Kuro, and the Skeleton army it would be blinding. "Everybody get out!" Aurora shouted urgently, "This should make things easier for maybe seven seconds." Then she finished one more confused skeleton, and flew out the hole where the door used to be. She turned for a moment, regretting that she could not give her friends any more than a decent distraction, and then took off. She wondered if she should head for Central America, after all, that was one of the few places where the solstice was celebrated. No, too predictable. And she wanted to choose a place the others might know of. Aurora shifted her course to Newgrange, Ireland. It was an overlap of her domain and that of the varmill, probably the safest place possible right now. Clover might have some influence there too, but a magnified holiday domain with ancient magic would (hopefully) override that. "Good Luck," she whispered.
  4. Aurora nodded, agreeing with Lir and Kuro's statements. Yes, she was often too naive. Yes, Lir really didn't need them. And most of all, most unfortunately, the time for talking was over. She pulled her scythe off of her back, separating two of the closer skeletons from their legs. Ayano was right, they needed to retreat. Maybe she could buy the others some time. Aurora focused on Lir, Kuro, and the skeletons, and started gathering light to herself to power up a sunrise blast. She allowed herself a quick smile, wondering if you could blind skeletons. Then again, they had to see somehow for them to target the Holidays, so...?
  5. Notgoodnotgoodnotgood... "Ummm... Hold up!" Aurora exclaimed, waving her hands and taking a step back, only to bump into the wall. "Guys, there is no need to fight over this! We are all just holidays trying to protect and spread joy to the humans! We need to work together and find a cure before they all end up dead! For heavens sake, Kuro, Lir! How do you intend to survive without anyone to celebrate your holiday?" Inside, though, Aurora thought it might be time to abandon ship and regroup elsewhere. They looked serious, and their odds of getting out uninfected were getting worse and worse, stuck in an enclosed space with an infected skeleton army.
  6. "Yes." Aurora stated, agreeing with Severa. "This is war. And we have friends who are on the inside, who can tell us what the enemy looks like. Friends who can give us data and conclusions, who can help us find a cure," At this she shook her head sadly, "So are we just going to throw them out and try to face this on our own, and be taken out one by one untill we are all infected?" Aurora was dissappointed at how this was turning out. 'A house divided can not stand,' they couldn't face this threat while squabbling like children.
  7. Late. Aurora hated being late. It had been six hundred and twenty eight years since the last time (of course it was twenty eight years. Unlucky number), and she was not enjoying breaking her streak. She had an excuse, naturally. Winter Solstice was two days ago, and she was picking up from a small celebration with her friends. She smiled, maybe some of the younger holidays didn't even know what her holiday was. Ah well. Aurora folded her wings as her feet broke through the snow at the door of the Pole. She took a deep breath. Best to get this over with. Then she opened the door quietly, wincing slightly as the wind blew in, and moved inside the room, slipping over to the wall. She might be late, but Aurora certainly wasn't going to be loud about it.
  8. (Holidays) Name: Aurora Age: (How old you appear to be) 18 Gender: Female Appearence: (about the same when she appears to humans, just subtract the wings) http://kingdomkeynom.deviantart.com/art/Aurora-502402402 Infected with Gloom?: No What Holiday/Entity you are: Winter Solstice (Ancient Roman celebration plus a bit of Saturnalia. Edit: actually, throwing in some Neolithic era and ancient Americas stuff too) Any Abilities/Powers: Scythe- perhaps because of her slightly violent place of origin, or because of her relation to Saturnalia (and Saturn), Aurora has become proficient at using a scythe as a weapon. Sunrise- A flash of light that can blind an enemy for a very short period of time. Personality: Hopeful, persistent, friendly, but a tad bit resentful, bitter and sarcastic, only on occasion. Being all but forgotten for two thousand years can do that... Bio: The Winter Solstice celebration in Ancient Rome was full of candles, gifts, excitement, and encouragement to the Gods to bring back the sun (Hence the Goddess of sunrise). Since the fall of the Empire, the Solstice has had a much smaller impact, and, when it is remembered, people often associate it with darkness or dismiss it as unimportant. Despite this, Aurora holds to her duty of bringing light back to the world, which includes doing her best to eradicate the gloom. Ok, I'm done! And I asked for a recording device for my violin... And I got one!!!
  9. But YMX uses keyblades... And it is pretty much confirmed that Xemnas can too, he just chooses not to... And Xehanort lured Braig in by saying he would give him the power to use one (although he meant by defeating a keyblade wielder)... And we all know about Vanitas. So potentially yes? That said, I hope not. It would get boring very fast if all of them used the same fighting style.
  10. Hey, is it ok if I join you tomorrow with the Winter Solstice Roman celebration? I do not have time tonight, but this sounds fun. It's ok if you can't accept any more, I understand.
