  1. Talking about Mickey's Halloween party, how many of us know that his official date of birth was Nov 18, 1928? That means he just turned 87 years old! Happy Birthday, Mickey Mouse... We love you more than ever, and always will!
  2. Some very happy news indeed! Had heard of this rumour back in the month of May but now that Nintendo Direct has confirmed the news, it's full and final. Till then, it's dragon games like these and Plants versus Zombies which'll keep me entertained.. so much for my love of dragons and monsters!
  3. Gosh, 20 whole years, and Pixar just seems to be getting better and better with each coming film! It never fails to disappoint us. My favorite Pixar flicks are: 1. Up: By far, the best movie I've come across till date, animated ot non-animated. The story of a grumpy 78 year old widower facing eviction from his beloved home and going on to have amazing adventures as well as forming a tight unexpected bond is beyond just wonderful. 2. Ratatouille: This one about a rat who dreams of becoming a gourmet chief is a masterpiece in itself, and is named after a traditional French dish. The fact that it won an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature speaks for itself. 3. Finding Nemo: Scuba drivers scoop up our Nemo out of his natural habitat, the ocean, and the movie talks about Nemo's father looking for him. This kids' flick from Pixar raked up around one billion dollars. 4. Wall-E: A movie set in the future, precisely 2085, this one gives a pretty dim view of the earth's future. Human beings have long since fled and robots have been left behind to clean up the huge mess. A must-watch. Long live Pixar... May you continue entertaining us (as well as our great-great-great-grandkids) like this for eons to come!
  4. I intensely dislike people banging on the keyboard while typing. The sound drives me nuts!
  5. I have two favorites. 1. Destiny - Loved the way one of the critics put it when he described this game: "Years from now, when our grandchildren ask us how we spent the fall of 2014, we won't be able to say that we had a life-changing, character-building experience. We didn't have too many grand adventures or meet the girl/guy of our dreams. Heck, we didn't even go outside - and it's all the fault of Destiny." 2. Grand Theft Auto 5 - Undoubtedly one of the greatest games ever made on the face of this earth. The look of the game is incredible, everything is so immediate and real, you can fly, swim, drive and do everything else all at once. Amazing.
  6. Inside: The teasers tell us that we need to play as a young boy who still has control of his own mind in a desolate, totalitarian future where most citizens have been turned into automatons. Mighty No.9: This 2D side-scrolling platformer takes place in a world whose mechanized inhabitants have gone amok thanks to a widespread computer virus. Our character, the 9th in a line of powerful robots, is free from the virus and serves as the last line of defence. No Man's Sky: Comes from the four person British game design shop Hello Games and is an ambitious sci-fi exploration game featuring a truly massive, procedurally generated universe with stylized, colorful artwork and an original soundtrack. Quantum Break: The most anticipated of all. A blend of third person combat, adventure and mystery gameplay and a complex story that unfolds over not just the game but also a companion live-action TV series which focuses on the villains of the story and will change based on your actions in the game. Apart from these, I also plan to play my all-time favorites: Plants versus Zombies, these pet games (my son loves them as well), Mario (yeah, I still am a fan of this game) and Team Fortress 2 (can't do without this one).
  7. 1. Batman: Arkham Knight (due in June) 2. Star Wars Battlefront 3. Quantum Break
  8. It would have to be a game with something to do with sports, preferably football. If you ask me right now, it would be this Heroes & Rivals NFL game. It's so much fun and is so addictive!
  9. Age notwithstanding, the one thing I would like to tell my younger self would be - Live life in a way that brings you no regrets. Diligently care for your friends and family. You'll never regret kindness.
  10. I second that. When it's Pink Floyd you're talking about, it's bound to be solid stuff. Another brick in the wall...
  11. 'The greatest rock band in the world' - I like it! What I've Done is my favorite song when it comes to this band - awesome lyrics and a literally haunting melody that leaves you mesmerized.
  12. Been waiting for this since so long - Penguins of Madagascar is finally out this month! Benedict Cumberbatch's pronunciation (or rather mispronunciation) of 'penguin' has been doing the rounds: "Pengwing?" Yes. "Pengling?" Yes. "Penguin?" Oh, heavens no. Isn't he cute??!
