  1. I'm tempted to say KH2 just because Reflect is godlike, but I'd say Re:Coded had the best use of magic commands of any game that featured them, plus the act of leveling up and fusing them was way more streamlined and convenient than BBS's.
  2. Nah, if Yen Sid was the MoM he wouldn't be nearly as useless and stupid as he's been the entire series.
  3. Flowmotion all the time, as much as you can. It does a lot of good damage for how little effort it requires to activate, plus it just makes you travel faster around the really big levels.
  4. Any part with Sora in it. I didn't realize how much I missed him being the main character until he showed up again. (Also after spending so much time with the rest of the bland story, it was good to have some actual set-up for KH3.)
  5. I dunno, it'd be impossible for me to not hear him as Yousuke or various New Vegas characters. Osment is also able to give a really good childlike quality to Sora's voice that I'm not certain Lowenthal could recreate.
  6. Oh thank Christ. The damage you take in Proud mode is ridiculous; a few good hits from enemies will put you into the red almost immediately. It took me like six tries to beat the final boss because it just dealt so much damage so quick with almost no way to avoid it half the time. Really glad they're addressing that.
  7. I do agree that it's not very well balanced to have a game built to require a few very specific moves to beat it, but I kind of assumed that was the point of a Level 1 run? It's not something a casual player will do just for the hell of it, it's something only a dedicated hardcore player will attempt, probably after playing through the game a few times. If you're purposely putting a huge handicap on yourself, I think it's expected that the game isn't going to be fair at that point.
  8. So long, and thanks for all the drone strikes.
  9. I mean, if you're doing a Level 1 run in any video game, it seems like there's an expectation that you've got to rely on really specific conditions and abilities to do it. You don't play a Souls game at Soul Level 1 without having a very specific plan in mind for what weapons and armor you need and what path you're going to take; same thing here. (also there are so many game design decisions in DDD alone that are worse than this)
  10. Guardians 2 because the first was such a surprisingly sardonic and sarcastic movie for a Marvel property. (Although Logan legitimately looks really good and I'm honestly more eager to see that than Guardians.)
  11. Cancelled, after hearing all the fans bitch and moan about "WHERE'S KH3 I WANT KH3 IT'S BEEN IN DEVELOPMENT FOR 10 YEARS HOW IS THIS HARD" Square Enix decided to pull a Half-Life 3 and just stop working on it entirely without ever announcing it's cancellation.
  12. I would have loved to see what Star Wars 1313 could have been. A SW game where you play as not-a-Force-user is incredibly rare and I'd have been excited to see how it would have been done, especially given that it would've been a Boba Fett game which fans had been wanting for years. Also would've liked a legit Prey 2; the first was clunky as hell but had some really unique concepts and gameplay mechanics which are surely not going to be in the new Prey.
  13. Nah, that's fine. If you can enjoy a narrative already knowing what's gonna happen, more power to you. There's just a lot of people (a lot more, I would guess) who can't enjoy it the same way if it's spoiled for them, and I'm glad the internet as a whole recognizes that and tends to protect spoilers when possible.
  14. WHAT THE firetruck ELSE DOES MICROSOFT HAVE GOING FOR THEM? CRACKDOWN 3??? SHIT Seriously, I don't understand why every Xbox game is getting cancelled. I get the Xbone isn't the most profitable, but maybe if they released good exclusives, it'd be doing better.
  15. Zootopia, hands down. It's the first Disney cartoon to really blow me away in a long, long time (plus Jason Bateman is my waifu).
  16. If the game is made correctly, then yes, we will. I am all for game devs and directors being in their own games in some capacity. Kojima being a hidden recruit in Peacewalker, John Romero's severed head being hidden in the final boss in Doom 2, etc. It's always super entertaining to see that kind of lighthearted stuff.
  17. Looks like shit, the special effects are awful, there's barely any CG. I'm telling you guys, no one's gonna want to watch a movie based in this universe.
  18. That's a dumb idea, a Rogue One movie series will never catch on.
  19. I've been meaning to get into the Yakuza series for a while now, and 0 is a perfect place to start it seems. It's supposed to have the best mechanics and systems in any of the games so far and I'm really excited to play it (eventually, I already maxed my budget on 2.8 ).
  20. Beyond the fact that IGN can't do basic research about Kingdom Hearts games, I love that they included Mario (Switch), a game that's not even confirmed to exist yet and Splatoon (Switch), a port of a 2015 game, but not either Sonic games slated to come out in 2017, nor Yakuza 0 or Kiwami. They just do not give a remote shit about Sega.
  21. Yakuza 0, NieR: Automata, For Honor, along with games other people brought up. There's lots coming out right at the start of the year, plus whatever mysterious unknowable plans Nintendo has. OH SHIT BERSERK firetruck YEAH FORGOT ABOUT THAT
  22. Violence-based games tend to sell really well because they're controversial. So many bored moms cried about GTA corrupting their precious little babbies that sudden;y everyone wanted to see what the fuss was about and bought into the franchise. So many gaming news outlets bashed Hatred before it even came out because it was super violent, so everyone bought that to see what was so awful about it. Rinse and repeat for Postal and Mortal Kombat. People screaming about how "morally reprehensible" a thing is always garners attention for that thing, usually more attention than that thing actually deserves. Also I wouldn't say Unity has an incestuous relationship. It's pretty much the exact same relationship as Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann (Arno works for Elise's dad since he was orphaned as a child), so unless you consider Pirates of the Caribbean to have incest, there's no issue there.
  23. can this be the official subtitle instead of A fragmentary passage
  24. I'd personally want to go with as long as everyone else thinks is feasible; spoilers are the easiest way to just flat out ruin a story, and not everyone's gonna get to play 2.8 in the first few months of release (it is a full $60, after all).
