Just saw new (leaked) footage of Kingdom of Corona, Arendelle, and Olympus. Here are my quick (non-spoilery) impressions and would like your all's thoughts: Kingdom of Corona Gorgeous! Basically a large room right outside the Tower area and it's nothing but beautiful dense forest. I think if you just swap out the type of trees and plant life, this could have easily been a Jungle Book level. Among other reasons, I think this might be the main reason why Jungle Book was not added to the game. Also, RIP ******** on the return trips Arendelle So beautiful it should be a crime. Recently Tai Yasue commented how the wall running mechanic was originally just an aspect of Olympus, but they decided to put it in other worlds as well. I find this funny because (at least in bits I've seen) it's all over the place in Arendelle, and IMO it works and flows a lot more naturally than in Olympus. Olympus Breath taking... that is all lol

I honestly don't even think about it. Sometimes I call him Lea when he's actually Axel. Sometimes I call him Axel when he's actually Lea. Besides the technicality of the matter, it's the same person either way. I doubt he'd care what I call him, since he's a fictional character lol He might be telling Kairi to call him Axel because they're becoming friends, but I think it's something deeper. Based on the canon drama reading (facepalm) and the handful of clips from trailers, it's obvious that spending time with Kairi is giving Lea... "flashes" of Xion. I hesitate to call them full on memories, but he's definitely remembering SOMETHING about Xion, and Xion has only ever called him Axel. So Lea is probably having Kairi call him Axel to hopefully "unlock" the Xion memories or something. Just my two cents.

Nothing too crazy, but a very solid trailer The more I think about KH3 the more depressed I get, so I'll take any excuse to get hyped up!

Finally something for the top 1% of the KH community.

I think these pictures and quotes are purposely misleading, but I'll take a guess. I think it could be: ??? talking to Sora & Mickey Mickey talking to Sora & Riku Sora talking to Roxas & Ventus Sora talking to Donald & Goofy Sora talking to Maleficent & Pete (lol) Also, lol at Nomura pushing that merchandise. Working for the Mouse House ain't easy, but it pays the bills!

I don't feel like making another rant, so just picture me facepalming and you'll get the gist of how I feel.

I've actually wondered about the soul for a while now. An excerpt from Secret Ansem Report #4 in KH2: "Three elements combine to create a life: a heart, a soul, and a body. But what of the soul and body left behind when the heart is lost? When the soul leaves the body, its vessel, life gives way to death, but what about when the heart leaves? A being does not perish when its heart leaves its body. The heart alone disappears into the darkness." KH1 mainly focused on the nature of the heart, and KH2 mainly focused on the nature of the body. So maybe KH3 will shed more light on the "soul" portion of a being? It's kind of been a running a joke how no one dies in the series, but that's mainly because everyone has "died" because of heart related circumstances. If a heart leaves the body, you can always bring them back in some way, BUT if the soul leaves the body, I guess they are truly dead? Maybe this will be a way to truly "kill off" characters without fans rolling their eyes and going "No worries, (insert name) isn't dead, we'll just kill their Heartless and Nobody and bring them back!". And I'm just going to be boring and assume the quote is referring to Sora.

Wasn't that the same survey where they asked which FF character people want most in KH3 and he was surprised that Noctis was in the top 3. Like, gee, imagine that! People want the main character of the most recent and one of the better selling FF games in history. What strange times we live in! lol Best post I've read in a while lol

A game is much more than what is "needed". It's also made up of things that fans and creators just "want" for the sake of being there (especially a fanfic like game that Kingdom Hearts is). Yeah, KH3 probably doesn't need Radiant Garden or FF characters, but not having them just makes the game feel less than it could be. Lightning in Olympus, Ferris in the Caribbean, meeting Rinoa in Radiant Garden, and more would have been easy things to pull off and make people happy. Props to the people who think a Day 1 patch is going include: the entirety of Raidiant Garden, double the size of Twilight Town, add sidequests, and secret bosses, on top of the epilogue and secret ending. Personally I'm only expecting 1 DLC pack, which will basically be the "Final Mix" content, and for it to be on par with KH2FM. So new cutscenes, keyblades, secret bosses, side quests, MAYBE a new dungeon in Twilight Town or Scala en Caleum or wherever.

Really nice interview. This truly lifts my spirits "If we can't use Pixar, then we can't have a third game" DAMN! Look at Nomura rolling up to Disney's offices and slapping his massive dick on the table lol props man. This does make me wonder though. If Nomura really made this statement after KH2 (about 2006, maybe 2007), and he also says that it took SEVERAL (which usually means 7) YEARS to get Toy Story approved, could KH3 have come sooner if Pixar's approval came sooner? I'm sure BBS was always on the table, but maybe "ideally" KH3 could have come out on the PS3 after BBS? Probably not, since (at the time) he was still waiting on the original KH team to finish Versus, and I think Days, BBS, and Coded were always going to happen before a hypothetical KH3. Still, this is very... interesting information...

Just to be clear, our choices for Final Bosses are: KH1: SDG team up to fight a rehashed battle with shirtless Billy Zane, CoM: Sora plays 52 card pickup with a flower man, Days: Roxas teams up with and then beats a blindfolded Riku, BBS: Terra, Ven, & Aqua all win their boss fights, but lose because "F**k you PLOT", Coded: Data Sora beating Data Roxas to learn something we already knew, KH3D: Riku fights/wakes up Sora, who is covered in Ven's armor, which is covered in ink, or KH2: TWO BROS WHO ARE BRO-ING IT UP BY LAYING THE BRO SMACKDOWN ON ZEBRA LIGHTSABER MAN WHILE DEFLECTING A MILLION BAJILLION LASERS IN THE MOST BRO-TASTIC TEAM-UP IN BRO HISTORY!!!! Is it REALLY a choice?

I was just thinking the other day how the Disney has always been perfect. Going back through the series, it never felt like a game needed 1 or 2 more Disney worlds. If anything, really only KH2 felt a little bloated. They probably could have cut one or two honestly. So I will trust them that 8 Disney worlds is the perfect amount to tell the story of KH3 I must admit Tai has gotten me very excited for the gummi routes! I've avoided gummi spoilers, so I'm curious how they will play

While the 2nd Big Hero 6 trailer was pretty sweet, I gotta go with the Monsters Inc. trailer from D23. Setting the trailer to the Vanitas theme was the sickest trailer I've experienced in a while.

After reading the list, I was initially furious and ready to write a long rant. But I've gone for a long walk outside and cooled off, and now have more... "collected" thoughts lol -I'm very disappointed that there is no playable Radiant Garden. It just thematically makes sense to have a completely restored Radiant Garden in Kingdom Hearts III. I get the whole"it might not fit with the story" argument, but here's the thing: you MAKE it fit. Nomura has (mostly) full creative control on the story. Radiant Garden is an important place to Sora, Kairi, and the lore of the series and it is just plain odd to not have it here. -No playable Destiny Islands is bad too. Fans have wanted to explore the Main Island since KH2. Both Destiny Islands and Radiant Garden not being playable seems to show a big disconnect between the wants of the fans and those of the creators. -I don't know who is in Twilight Town, but this makes things worse for Final Fantasy characters appearing. If Nomura can so easily drop Radiant Garden, he probably would have no qualms with throwing FF characters in the gutter as well. Does KH need FF cameos? No. BUT they were great additions that many fans enjoyed. No other series in the history of videogames has the chance to combine Disney & Final Fantasy characters, and it sucks that Nomura just shit on that aspect of the series. Similar to Frozen, I always joked that Lightning (from FF13) appearing in KH3 was inevitable, but now that she's not here, I'm kinda sad -The Disney worlds are GREAT... but safe. Personally, the number of worlds is good, and even the IPs they picked are really good picks. Unfortunately, they could have afforded to have a "risky" world. This is not so much a problem for KH3 as it is the future of the series. EVENTUALLY you are going to run the well dry of great material and have a KH game filled with worlds like Home on the Range, Brother Bear, The Rescuers, and National Treasure. Properties with their own fans, but will not sell copies to the mainstream audience. I'll just say it: they should have had Treasure Planet, Atlantis, or Jungle Book. -They should have said that Pooh was the last Disney world. And to those that might say "that would be bad marketing and kill speculation", fine. If that's the case, your last Disney world shouldn't have been f**king Winnie the Pooh. It should have been Pirates, Toy Story, Frozen, or f**king ANYTHING else, other than Pooh. I'm not going to let everything this guy says influence me (I don't think he has a good handle on the series anyway), but I'm just looking at the facts. Based on the stuff that's just not there, KH3 is already beneath KH2, at least on MY personal list.

I do NOT want to know any specifics, but if anyone can reply to my post here with a simple yes or no, I would greatly appreciate it. Are there any more unannounced Disney worlds? Is Radiant Garden a playable world?

I'm sure the next things on the docket are ports of 1.5, 2.5, 2.8, and KH3 for the PC, and possibly the Switch if they can pull it off easily. Though unlikely, my ideal situation would be: Now that KH3 is complete, Nomura should run over to BD1 and get development on FF7R really up and running. He should also get a good portion of BD3 to assist with FF7R development in order to speed it along. Leave Tai Yasue and a "skeleton crew" in BD3 to work on KH3 patches, the various ports, and whatever inevitable DLC there will be (I'm thinking on the scale of what was added to KH2 Final Mix). The next KH thing should be KH4 (no side games to start a new saga). While Nomura is busy with FF7R, Tai Yasue should be the sole director of KH4, with Nomura in a producer/creative role (where he belongs to be honest). Nomura has and always will love Kingdom Hearts, but he is a creative guy, and KH isn't always the best place to express that creativity. I've been thinking for a while now that Tai Yasue is being groomed to officially be in charge of BD3 and KH, so Nomura can be more free to work on other projects. While most of BD3 assist with FF7R, Tai and a few others (while under Nomura's supervision) can start planning for KH4 and possibly beyond. When FF7R development gets more stable or when KH4 is really ready to get going, members of BD3 can shift back from FF7R to KH4.

I'm very confused. Someone PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong, but so far KH3 at Jump Festa currently amounts to: -No demos for people to try -No play Kai Arts figures -Not scheduled for an appearance on the Square Enix livestream -No new trailer (since we just got the Final Trailer and commercials) Why even show up at Jump Festa? To be clear, I'm not yelling at Square. I'm VERY content with the recent commercials and Final Trailer. It just appears that Square is doing practically nothing for the event in regards to KH3. Why bother?

Just checked the livestream schedule. The first video is nothing but Dragon Quest stuff. The second video is more Dragon Quest stuff, with a side of Chocobo Mystery Dungeon.

What an odd time to make this kind of thread lol I'm a big fan of Disney's work and I'm happy with what we have, so it's pretty ideal as of now. I do wish we had ONE more world, so I'll toss in Atlantis for the heck of it.

Uh.. huh? Wait! What do you MEAN "unintentional content"!?!?!? lol what happened Nomura? You know how many people have to approve all public footage from Square, Disney, and Nomura himself? Luckily I didn't see the footage (nor am I asking for an answer), but come on. I mean, it's not like it was live gameplay that went a little too long or something. These are VERY controlled and intentional commercials. How can so many important eyes review these commercials and only now go "Oh snap, maybe we shouldn't show blah blah blah". I'm not yelling at anyone or angry, I'm just dumbfounded lol These commercials are nice though.
