I became a fan of Kingdom Hearts through love of Disney and random nostalgia; Christmas of 2002 I had wanted a PS2 just like all my friends and so they could come over to my house and play instead of me always going to their's. To my lack of surprise I got it, biggest present box plus I sneaked into their closet before, but what came with it shaped my childhood. A game called Kingdom Hearts came along with the console and two controllers and while I was upset at first it didn't come with a sports game, I popped it right in and was instantly hooked. Through the switching of likes of my friends, short attention spans and countless summer days of playing baseball, I had almost forgot about the game and found myself confused when looking for my copy of the game. When I went to spend my birthday money my senior year of high school I got the PS3 that was backwards compatible, and to my shock when I asked to you have the Kingdom Hearts game, the clerk asked "Which one?" I bought KH, and KH2 and after completing both games was eager to find out what the story had become. And the rest is history, going from the age of ten to eighteen and still remembering how to fight Ansem/Riku to then playing an outdated KH2 game (and the rest of them) that felt like a new release to me those very days.
