  1. My personal theory is that Terra exists, on some level, inside of Xemnas. However, he's sealed off due to Xehanort's influence. KHIII will deal with them purging Xehanort's influence and the Xemnas we know will instead become the 'new' Terra, with brown hair and blue eyes. He'll be one of the seven guardians. In a way, his permanently changed appearance will parallel that of when Riku took on Ansem's form in KHII, which makes sense as Terra is the extreme form of what could have happened to Riku.
  2. I think people are exaggerating the 'split personality' thing. More than likely, the MoM is like a character like Axel who can speak in thoughtful contemplation in one moment and in the next, act silly and sarcastic But I like your theory though. Not sure I buy it but I appreciate the time you put into it enough to have read it over.
  3. We don't actually know that. In fact, it's entirely possible that Terra's body never returns to how it looked in BBS. Given that Xemnas is essentially Terra's body now, who knows if the way to 'save' him is to purge Xehanort's influence and Terra takes over, resulting in a Xemnas model with brown hair and blue eyes?
  4. Given that the scene between Xehanort and Eraqus is apparently the first one in the game, is it a stretch to assume we may be playing as one of them?
  5. I wasn't really expecting it, but it would have been interesting if they took assets from FFVII Remake and put some of that into KHIII to make Midgar a world since I'm assuming Cloud and Sephiroth still come from there and their little plot thing still isn't finished.
  6. lol It's not a dream. Actually, I'm hoping it's literally the exact same thing with no changes so I don't have to buy it. I put a lot of time into 1.5 and 2.5 and I really don't want to have to start over again.
  7. If they put some extra polish into it, I'd consider buying this for PS4. Maybe.
  8. Least favorite: 358/2 Days - Gameplay was okay, but it's on a handheld system and it didn't really need to be turned into a game. A novel would have made more sense. 2nd-to-least favorite: Chain of Memories - Very competently handled and even chilling story. Unfortunately, I hate the card system too much to have it ranked any higher. 3rd-to-least favorite: Coded - Gameplay was okay, but it's on a handheld system and its story is almost completely worthless. It took a brand new scene in 2.5 to make it even a little relevant. Data Sora is a nice return to form for Sora after having his intelligence sucked out slowly throughout KHII and Dream Drop Distance. Middle favorite: Birth by Sleep - I really don't like the Command Deck system, but I love the lore and story BBS had behind it. It had a much more KH1 feel to it and it's more 'explorative' elements, what little there were, seemed like a step in the right direction after the hallways of KHII. Despite some acting flubs, I love most of the characters and Master Xehanort is one of my favorite villains in any RPG series I've played. 3rd favorite: Kingdom Hearts II - As a game, I'd say Kingdom Hearts II is the most technically amazing. For what it accomplished, it's definitely one of the most advanced experiences in terms of combat and the things it lets you do. I love the story, the lore and the characters; however, there is a lot to dislike, as well. From the main character acting incompetently at times, making the Disney worlds almost completely pointless to the story and in trying to make technical marvels in things like the Battle of 1000 Heartless, they also didn't have as much memory space to make the worlds feel more 'real' than they did in the first game. While I wouldn't call it a disappointment as it's one of my favorite games of all time, it's definitely not as good as it could have been. 2nd favorite: Dream Drop Distance - DDD continues the wide-open spaces and sense of exploration and wonder in its Flowmotion system and the story ties every game previous together in one, amazing package. The downsides come from it, once again, being on handheld and Sora being an even bigger dunce than before. However, the gamplay more than makes up for it and the environments are spectacular. DDD is the first game since KH1 where I felt like I was really exploring the worlds and seeing places not really shown in the films, whereas KHII felt more like a showcase of stuff I'd already seen. Plus, more Tron is always nice. Favorite: Kingdom Hearts - I adore this game. Yes, the gameplay is aged; yes, the voice-acting can be a tad much at times; yes, it's clunky to move around and yes, the fish face is the most prevalent it's ever been...but the charm of it all. The sense of wonder in each world you go to, not knowing what's going to come up next. When the back of the box said 'You never know who you'll run into next' it was right on the money. This was the Disney crossover experience at its finest. Being able to go to different Disney worlds and walk around almost 'behind the scenes' of my favorite films and fight alongside some of my favorite characters was a dream come true. Moreso than any other game in the series, the original KH fully capitalized on the crossover, by having several Disney villains scheming together in a group run by Maleficent; seeing characters like Beast in Hollow Bastion trying to save his beloved Belle; the Princesses of Heart concept in general and wrapping it all up in a nice little bow by having Mickey show up near the end, basically blessing the franchise from now on as if the Mouse was observing from afar to see if it was truly worthy of continuation. Not to mention, but this is the Sora I've always known to be there. Some people say he's bland and generic, I say he's realistic to what a relatively intelligent, cheerful 14 year old kid would be. He can be naive, but he's not an idiot. He can put two and two together. He can be annoying, but he's also charming and you want to see him grow. Later on, Sora either has gotten to the point where it seems like he can't grow as a character anymore or he even regresses, which is the worst thing you could ever do to a character. It's a crying shame we haven't seen a Sora this well handled in the series since the first game and I only hope that KHII and DDD were dumb teenage phase he went through and KHIII will shine through and show a Sora who has aged competent, confident and intelligent.
  9. I have never stayed in a KHII world longer than an hour at a time, most times barely even an hour. I imagine KHIII worlds might take me closer to two mostly from the larger areas you can explore but 3+ is pushing my expectations.
  10. Source on the 3+ hour part. But I want to emphasize to the last thing you said. You're exactly right. Who knows if we'll see him more and who knows whether or not his model will be improved by December? Nobody. And even if it isn't, it's still not representative of the rest of the game.
  11. 'I don't care what your opinion is' ≠ 'Your opinion doesn't matter'. In your opinion it looks flawed comparatively. In mine, Terra's model in 0.2 is better than his original one just based on the increased texture quality and whatnot alone. He just doesn't look as good as Aqua, which he shouldn't since she's the main character of the game and again, for all we know, Terra will never appear again in that form. If you cannot see the detriment in wasting time perfecting a model that might very well never appear again compared to spending time improving everything else, then I don't know what else I can say to you. Also, fun fact: The game isn't coming out for another six months and we're seeing that footage recorded from a cell phone a couple feet away. Just thought I should point that out.
  12. Censor your opinion how? Have I reported your thread is breaking rules, did I tell you you can't have your opinion? All I said was it looks fine to me and you responded saying that it doesn't matter what I think, it looks like shit and they should fix it. If anybody's telling anybody their opinion doesn't matter, it's you. I just said I don't rightly care what your opinion is on its quality, because I think it looks fine for what it is. Expressing my opinion on the platform you provided. There may be deeper flaws under the surface that we haven't seen and if there is, I'll be the first in line to call foul. But as is, what we've seen looks good to me and Terra's model, while not perfect, looks fine to me. You're coming across as if because his model isn't as good as Aqua's, that automatically means they're cutting corners and the game won't be as good as we think.
  13. OR, and here's a wild guess, maybe they just didn't put as much effort into his model because it only appears for ten seconds. I do not get how you're expecting that, because Terra's BBS model (which, as far as we know, might very well never pop up again in the series) looks like shit, that automatically means that everything will look like shit, in spite of everything else that they've shown which looks fantastic. You have no basis in assuming anything beyond what they've shown.
  14. You're getting all of that over a less-than-stellar character model? A less-than-stellar character model who, for all we know, only appears in that one scene? Somehow, I feel like you're overreacting a little. And also ignoring everything else they've presented in 0.2 so far.
  15. I don't really care what your opinion is. In my own, it's not too bad for what amounts to 15 seconds. Even if he gets more screentime, same thing. For everything else we're getting in the future, I can live with a Terra model who looks like he belongs in Toy Story.
  16. His skin does look a little plastic-y compared to Aqua, but if he only appears for a little bit, it's not too bad.
  17. I figured the length wouldn't be quite we're used to. (Generally, I can knock out a Disney world in the old games in less than an hour.) I wonder how long the worlds will be in KHIII and, as a consequence, how many worlds we'll be getting. We might not get as many as before if they take longer to complete, although a lot of that time could actually just be because the worlds are bigger and thus more time will be spent exploring. Interesting stuff.
  18. I thought Square Enix Presents was Wednesday? Edit: Oh wait, no. I got that confused with the Tai Yasue interview for some reason.
  19. When do you NOT kill people in a Spider-Man game?
  20. Well, you had me until the 'Terra is in control' part. I do think the idea of Xemnas attempting to communicate with Aqua through her armor and appearing as a vision of Terra is an interesting concept, only under bad circumstances. Xemnas is using Terra's heart to reach Aqua and of course, Aqua would see him as she remembers him. While I don't think that's the case, it would make his appearance in the RoD a lot more sinister than just a simple hallucination.
  21. It's less a time travel mechanic and more a reality-bending mechanic. Aqua isn't actually traveling through time, she's merely using the clock to bend reality in a confined space to 'rewind' time to a previous point. Given that the RoD is a weird place anyway, that doesn't seem out of the norm.
  22. Someone who gets a fact like that wrong I don't think is really part of the 'community'. More like a casual fan who pops in every year or two. Probably only played the first two games, as well.
  23. I hope we get more screenshots as E3 goes on. I like collecting them.
