The more I think about SW, the less and less I think a proper adaptation of the films would really work. With the exception of my original 'Just have a world set in the Death Star' idea, none of the other films I think could really work as 'worlds', mostly because...well, each film features multiple 'worlds'. But I still wanna see Star Wars in it, though, because crack crossovers are my favorite kind of crossovers and I'll be damned if I can't see Donald Duck swinging a lightsaber around killing Heartless. (That probably wouldn't happen ) Honestly, I think the best way to adapt SW would be one of two ways: Either focus on one specific part of one of the movies. (The Death Star, Endor, Bespin, what have you) or, and this would probably work better...just adapt the cartoons. If there was a world based on an episode from The Clone Wars, they could easily just have it set on one world during one particular battle, hanging out with Anakin, Ahsoka and Obi-Wan and battling General Grievous or something. Or Rebels, with Kanan & Ezra. On the Marvel side, I think it would work way better. With the exception of Guardians of the Galaxy and the Thor movies, every other film takes place on Earth. All you really have to do with Marvel is just do what you did with Pirates and Tron and we'll be fine.

Why do people hate Chain of Memories?

I figured it was something he knew would connect to KHIII and would be the story directly leading up to it, but I never realized it was basically 'part of the script' until the interview. I guess I can see the cliff notes sounding much smaller than how the actual story would play it out. Like, 'Before our main characters begin their search for Terra, Aqua and Ventus, Sora and Riku take the Mark of Mastery exam' and it sounds smaller than it actually plays out in the game and when Nomura realized the extent he'd have to go into it (because skipping over it would be a little weird) he decided to just make a whole game around it.
-
I was actually genuinely surprised when he said DDD was also originally part of KHIII's story that he cut out and made a whole new game. Personally, cutting that and 0.2 the way he did was a really good idea and especially inserting 0.2 into 2.8 was the perfect opportunity to show at least a piece of the full '0.5' and a way to lead into KHII. I'm not usually a fan of cutting pieces of games' stories but in this case, it seems like the best possible option.

Why I don't want a KH3 Sequel For a Long Time
Kaweebo replied to The 13th Kenpachi's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
I dunno, Miyamoto's been around for quite a while and he's still kicking. Kingdom Hearts is Nomura's passion project, he never once decided to just stop working on it even when he went to work on Versus XIII, he made sure that he was involved in regular KH releases every year or so. Besides, I think Nomura is one of those 'in love with his job' sort of people. And who knows if/when he's had a vacation, anyway? For all I know, Yasue's been picking up the slack while Nomura's been kicking it in the Bahamas or something. -

Spider-Man PS4 = Marvel in KH3?
Kaweebo replied to Green Sparrow's topic in Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind
This. While I want Marvel to be in KH in some form or another, I'd rather them save it for later. Don't wanna be like KHII and blow your load on three different kinds of Disney worlds in one game. (Live-action, direct-to-video and cartoons) I want some things to potentially look forward to. -

I thought Riku made it clear that that was meant to represent his 'dark side'. Repliku never wore the black coat. He's as much a seeker as the real Riku was. Repliku is also the only character not to 'return' to anything. Even Eraqus has a better shot of returning than him since he took refuge in Terra's heart. Repliku just faded away and he wasn't even a Nobody. I think the most merciful thing for him is if he just stayed dead, tbh. And like PriceNoctis said, we have too many clones as-is. (I still think the best thing storywise to do with Ventus and Roxas is to merge together into one person. That way we have a character who is connected to both the BBS trio, the DI trio and the Organization trio, bringing it full circle.)

What part of Kingdom Hearts 0.2 excites you the most?
Kaweebo replied to VisitJoan's topic in Poll of the Week
That it's more than just the Castle of Dreams. Honestly, I'm glad the E3 demo stopped where it did. I don't wanna see anymore of this game until release. (To be honest, I kind of want to do a complete stop on KHIII material until release too, so I can go in knowing almost nothing, but idk if I'm strong enough to do that.) -
KH1 Donald & Goofy vs KH2 Donald & Goofy.
Kaweebo replied to ReverofE's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
Do you mean gameplay-wise or storywise? Because gameplay-wise, their AI was definitely more improved in KHII. They were a lot more helpful, particularly when it came to their own sets of Limit abilities, as well. (Donald's Duck Flare straight-up murdered the Experiment boss) Storywise, I wouldn't really say either is 'better'. That's like saying your best friend is 'better' now than he was a year ago because you've been friends longer. They're the same characters from KH1 and KHII, they've just grown along with Sora and obviously place his friendship much higher on the list in the second game. But neither is really better than the other. -
Discussion of a Statement made by Yen Sid
Kaweebo replied to catmaster0116's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
Sometimes war is pluralized to indicate all of the multiple battles in the one 'war'. It's kind of weird, but I don't think it means there was more than one and I don't think it'd be a translation error since Yen Sid says Keyblade War normally several times in the same game. -
Because I've seen the movie? Character design is everything to get you invested in the...well, characters. And I happen to think that their faces would translate much better to 2D than 3D. I'm also not a fan of the trend that every film is CGI now, even if it is easier to make than hand-drawn. Just looking at the pictures presented, the curvature of Anna's face works way better as a flat image instead of fully round, in my opinion. It doesn't make Frozen a bad film, it's just not in a style I'd consider superior.
-
Some films I think would have worked better as 2D animated movies and Frozen is one of them. I don't think as many people would complain about Disney 'using the same face' if they had Frozen be a 2D film. The way Anna and Elsa's noses curve just looks so much better in two dimensions and ends up looking kind of strange in three. I still love the designs, but still... Something like Zootopia works a lot better as a CGI film where the extra textures and hair that CGI can provide really helps make the animals feel 'alive'.

Which level are you in Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ?
Kaweebo replied to Wan_Pisu's topic in Poll of the Week
82. I stopped playing for a little while and I got stuck at level mission after I ran out of jewels and was severely underleveled, so I've spent the last few months getting all stars on older missions as I try to rack up enough jewels to get a 5-star medal to help out. -
What I'd like to see in the Crash Bandicoot remasters
Kaweebo replied to Axtwyt's topic in General Discussion
I would LOVE to see Clancy Brown return as Cortex, he's the best and my favorite. On top of that, it would be nice to get some new levels and things added to the games as well. Kinda like how the Odfworld remake kept the spirit of the original, but also added new stuff for a surprise. -
What Happened to Terra?
Kaweebo replied to Dagesh Lene's topic in Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind
But as far as we know, and I doubt 0.2 will confirm this (although I won't say it won't happen) there is no proof that Xemnas is actually communicating with her at all. For all we know, he's talking to himself and thinks he hears her. It's obvious from his demeanor in KHII that he's not all there in the head as he acts very strangely even as far as Nobodies go, it makes perfect sense for him to be hearing the call of two people. His master personality is Xehanort but somewhere deep within him, Terra lives and is reaching out in any way he can, even if it's twisted to serve the others' goal. I say that it's the Terra side that is pushing him to want to reconnect with his old friends and the Xehanort side that wants to find his friends and use them for the ultimate plan. However the voice is so faint that even Xemnas is unaware it's even there. -
What Happened to Terra?
Kaweebo replied to Dagesh Lene's topic in Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind
I agree with all of that except for the idea that DDD retconned Terra's influence in some form. I stand by that there is no real reason Xehanort would ever speak to Aqua's armor without the presence of Terra. Not that Terra is in control, but that Xemnas is hearing things from two lives. -
What Happened to Terra?
Kaweebo replied to Dagesh Lene's topic in Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind
Keyword: Us. As in the Organization of Nobodies in general. Not him specifically. He's speaking in a collective sense and not even completely since he only says a 'number' of them. ie. not every single one of them. Such as Xigbar and Saix, who are both growing a piece of Xehanort inside of them. Never once in his entire speech did he deliberately say he, himself, was growing a heart. Even then, It's obvious that he has a piece of Xehanort inside of him by virtue of being under Xehanort's influence. My point wasn't that he wasn't growing a heart, anyway, merely that that doesn't disprove the existence of Terra within him. It doesn't really matter when the scene between MX and Terra's hearts takes place, they made it a point to emphasize that Terra is still active in some way. Regardless of Xehanort making it so that he stays in control, Terra's heart isn't gone. Where Xehanort's heart became Ansem, Seeker of Darkness; Terra's remained inside of his body, with a sliver of Xehanort remaining to keep his control. -
What Happened to Terra?
Kaweebo replied to Dagesh Lene's topic in Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind
You're correct that they don't confirm his presence, they imply it. Which is almost exactly the same thing. There's no beneficial reason for Xehanort to want to talk to Aqua's armor in the same way that he wishes to find Ventus's body, it makes sense that he's getting faint feedback from Terra's heart that beckons him to speak to it, even if nothing is actually happening. However, I could also point to DDD and say that nothing in that game indicated that Xemnas was growing a heart at all. All Xemnas said was that Nobodies can grow hearts, but he never specified himself. It's entirely possible that every moment of his in KHII where he couldn't 'feel' was all an act and he's had Terra's heart in him all along, merely subjugated by Xehanort's influence. Given the Blank Points scene inside of Terra-Xehanort between the two of them, I can't see Square making it so that Terra's heart went somewhere else. It's always been inside of his body, locked away. That's what I think, anyway. -
What Happened to Terra?
Kaweebo replied to Dagesh Lene's topic in Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind
He's not in control and never was, however his presence inside of Xemnas cannot be denied as seen in the KHII Final Mix scene where we have Xemnas going to the Chamber of Repose and speaking to Aqua's armor or really wanting to find the Chamber of Waking in Castle Oblivion during 358/2 Days. Terra is in there in some form.
