    Something along the lines of that. It's sort of a x amount of lives thing + reincarnation (ex. Tommy has 9 lives, he dies once, he comes back as a new person and now has only 8 lives.)

    So I'm thinking of starting a story but I want to know if my idea is any good. All I have is the first sentence and a really rough outline of what I wanna do and where I want to go with the story. The sentence is - "Let's try this again..." he muttered as he sobbed over his own lifeless, limp corpse. I know it's hard to judge off just a sentence, but do you think you could tell me if this interests you at all?

    Could you maybe elaborate on what's confusing you about this specific part? Myself and plenty of others on this forum can help explain any part you're confused. And I completely agree with the person somewhere up that way ^ that said to watch Timeline.
